A donald trump didnt meet with the family of the man who was shot seven times in the back that started some of this protest in wisconsin. We need a president who is going to turn the temperature down, donald trump doesnt do it because he doesnt respect anybody but himself. We see what has come out tonight about general kelly about his son, this is the kind of stuff are you saying that it wouldve been healing . For the president to emulate what joe biden did . Minnesota may not be as blue as the Biden Campaign thinks especially now that six mayors from democrat cities in bluecollar iron mining districts have declared they will be voting for President Trump in november. Tammy we know that was an issue with hillary, this seems to be a democratic problem of presuming that your base will simply do what they are told. They dont expect independent thought, they dont expect things to change. After hillarys debacle, is it possible they started this campaign with the same mindset . He has been in politics for a very long time and hes playing by these old rules. I can tell certain people one position and others another position. He clearly told the socialist hardcore radical base of the Democratic Party that im going to take the obama agenda and put it on steroids but he knows and routed to win the presidency, that you have to appear to be somewhat in the middle in these purple states. I think we should let the judicial system work its way. I think there is a minimum to need to charge the officers. It seemed like he didnt want to take any kind of position except for one that was condemning the officer without the investigation he also just called for. We have seen so many of these riots that have gripped nationwide, they happened through people rushing to judgment and not trusting the process to work and sometimes they are operating with flawed information. In this case in particular, i think the media have contributed to the chaos by not accurately describing the situation of why the police were even having an interaction with jacob blake, what his resisting of that arrest was, what that situation was like, so you really hope that president ial candidates would work to calm things down rather than exacerbate the situation. Hes trying to figure out the lien he needs to occupy to try to convince voters that he is their man in the big problem he has in all of this, you cant be procop and you cant say youre against violence, you cant call it black lives matter he wont say their names. Generally people go to college to prepare them for professional careers in fields like the law, medicine, engineering, et cetera. But i also saw polls indicate less of something that gives you an exact science or an exact view of something and more of an indicator of a trend. To do these numbers suggest that is a bigger shift that is happening here . Certainly polls give you a snapshot in time and if you compare a current poster to a previous poll that will give you an idea of the trend. The polling in the broader picture from the date at the dnc first started august 17th 2 today, joe biden has lost about a half a point nationally in a real clear politics average and has lost about one point in the top six battleground states. He is exactly where Hillary Clinton was at this. 4 years ago in terms of her lead in the battleground states. I think the polling post conventions have been a bit of the mixed bag, theres a good pull out for trump getting a big bump out of africanamericans, you mentioned pennsylvania, he had some fox news in wisconsin and pennsylvania that were not so good, its a mixed bag at this point. Tammy weve gotten a look at some of the internal Trump Campaign polling first obtained by the daily caller and he would know about this but here is what they found voters care about most. 20 still say its the economy and jobs, 16 said fighting covid, but only 3 and 4 respectively care most about law and order and racial injustice. It doesnt mean they dont care about those issues, its just about if you have to order them, jobs and the economy clearly what does this mean for trump and that the looting and the violence seemed to ranked so low on this list. One technical point, that poll is from the protrump super pac, not the internals of the campaign. The issue agenda is moving toward President Trump and the day that joe biden signed that unity statement with bernie sanders, he picked Kamala Harris, there convention was an infomercial, President Trumps convention was great, positive, great contrast and hes got a lot of polls on his averages that are skewed like that fox news poll mentioned in arizona, know how Many Democrats in that poll . 46 . Exit polls from 2016 are 8 , where did the 18 extra democrats come from . Theres a lot of skewed polls. Rasmussen reports had us tied today and that quinnipiac poll, they are coming around in these other polls are coming around where in georgia, landmark poll had us up at seven points. President trump is steadily gaining every day and moving ahead in the battleground stat states. Tammy he makes a very good point, this is one that Trump Supporters have made a lot, democrats are over polled or they are skewed, but this does not do any favorite to the democrats either because in your moving forward with a completely wrong view of where you stand which i think was part of hillarys problem in 2016. I think that is right. In the six battleground states, President Trump over performed the polls by about 2. 8 percentage points. Lets assume for the sake of argument hes going to do that same thing and over perform, that would lead him to win states like michigan, would lead him to win north carolina, the problem is he would lose florida right now because he only over performed the polls by 1 of these trailing by more than that. If you look at the electoral map, 36 electoral votes to play with and still win the election which means he can lose two of those three upper midwest states and still win the election, so long as he wins the rest of the states, arizona, florida, north carolina, those are right now tossup states. We are going to win florida. A lot of those polls are just too Many Democrats, not enough republicans.
