And tonights angle, i will examine with that part and says about the lefts purely political prosecution. Plus, the media leaks a disgraced fbi official claimed that the president obstructed justice by firing comey. The president is firing back. Also prosecutors released tooling videos by the Florida School shooting suspect. Raising questions, why now and what good does it deal. Kevin mccarthy is here to react to googles description of the g. O. P. Ideology that you would not believe. But first, for the left, it is suddenly open season on women in trumps family. What a series of vile and vulgar attacks women have endured in the last 24 hours alone. And the assault on ivanka trump on her tbs show last night. Let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dads immigration practices you [bleep]. Put on something tight and the low cut and tell yourather to [bleep] stop it. How about deport her . The socalled comedian called the ivanka trump the c word. She apologized on twitter for the obscenity is saying, i crossed the line. She did not apologize for the sexually suggestive remarks. Her network, tbs, also apologized but did not indicate that she or her show would suffer any consequences. In fact, tbs is gloating that v is getting a big hollywood award tonight from the group that hands out the enemy is. I guess what, they have closed the event tonight to the press. The network wrote, on may 31st, full frontal with samantha b will be recognized for advancing social change by the television academy. Social change, is that what hollywood now calls a lewd and obscene character assassination . And the lefties are not happy about her apology. Look at the reaction from actor sally field. She tweeted, i like her a lot but, she shouldnt have called ivanka the c word. And ivanka isnt the only woman under attack. Lets discuss with Rachel Campos, kristen tate and erika thomas, a member of the Florida State legislature. Lets go to you first, ms. Campo duffy, and ask you about how youve gotten to this place, where a comedian would Say Something like that about the first daughter, after she posted a picture of herself and her son. Its like an enduring photo, and that brings out such incredible but bile. Speak at least everyone knows fr conservative women and conservative minorities because the left to be as us as traitors. So im not surprised by the comment. But the hypocrisy i think, conservatives are finally getting sick and tired of it. We know exactly what would happen to samantha b if she had said that about sasha, melia or chelsea clinton. So that is really what is getting the conservatives finally fighting back and calling it out for what it is. I think what it does is, it exposed the left. They dont care about racism or sexism. If they did, they wouldnt say those things. They would come out on masse and outraged by it. Instead they are celebrating samantha b. They want to use that as a hammer to get us to agree or acquiesce to their political aims and they want to make sure that they are the only ones holding that hammer. We should say that there was a hill staffer who criticized the way that sasha and obama dressed i think on thanksgiving. And was booted. They will argue that ivanka has a position of authority in the white house and she is an adult, so she can take the heat. But lets go to erica here. Keith boykin was on cnn and said Something Interesting today. I want to play it for you. I think the point she was trying to make was about immigration and i think the point got lost in her comment. The larger point that is missing is the culture that is being generated from the president and the top. Donald trump exists to divide us. Everything he does is divisive. Representative thomas, do you believe that donald trump is responsible for samantha b using the c word to describe the first daughter . And it was said yesterday about the rose and comments as well. I would say that samantha b is the person that is responsible for comments. She has her own person and so she is responsible. But i want to go back to what the commentator just said. Democrats do not care about racism and sexism. Thats just a blatant lie for her to say that. We care deeply about that. The same people that are saying that samantha bs show needs to be canceled are the same people that stood behind a certain person that says the same derogatory comment and said it, that person went to grab a woman by her private parts, which is the same comment that the dictionary defines the c word as, and they stand behind that person and that president show has not been canceled. I dont know what you mean by president show, but there was an election. There was an election. We watch episodes every single day where africans are called laura so you are saying, representative, that the president is responsible for the c word, and the president is responsible for the c word being used by a liberal . Know the president is not responsible. However the president said the same type of words and was elected into office. We are trying to argue the same scenario. And he won state, so i guess your estate is filled with a bunch of crazy racist. Lets talk about joy reid. Theres a double standard here which is glaring. We have a list of people whose apologies are accepted. We have joy reid, and an old blog post about what she said about wolf blitzer who said she was being too nice to, and the way she was discussing issues in the middle east, and alec baldwin for his nasty comments over the years including using the nword. The double standard here is, they dont lose their platform, overwhelmingly, but if its someone who is friendly to trump and says something that they find objectionable, and most of us find objectionable, it doesnt matter how much you apologize. Youre excommunicated from the Public Square forever. Most of the people you mention, laura, still have jobs because their targets are conservative. But that is samantha b. She isnt fired with a flagrant slap in the face from Middle America and it proves that leftwingers can make any vulgar comments with impunity. But those same rights are not extended to conservative us. Lets be very clear, conservatives have acknowledge that what Roseanne Barr said was vile and hateful, but what samantha b said was so despicable that we cant erika, you clearly dont know the difference between this conversation and you are not interrupted by erica by kristen, so please let her finish her point. We are trying to give everybody equal time. I think there are a big difference in comments made on public and those that were made in private. I just want to know where the moral equivalency here is. Laura while maybe everybody has to get off of their moral high horse here. Ladies, i want to get your reaction on something else, i want to get to this issue, a slam on another trump supporter. Melania tweeted that she was at the white house and feeling great after her surgery, and a writer named Ashley Feinberg said the president is somehow keeping the first lady under wraps. I wonder who wrote that tweet, the headline asks. Melania trump hasnt appeared in public for 20 days, and then theres this from the ap. Where is melania . The first lady hasnt been seen in public for three weeks. While maybe its because shes recovering from major surgery, as all the news outlets reporte reported. Lets go to Rachel Campos duffy. Do you find it curious that these attacks are coming from women as well . The they dont want to admit it but there is a double standard. They dont care that melania is home recovering it like any normal person would be after surgery. I think what is more important is the hypocrisy that we see on the samantha b issue. If samantha b had said that about chelsea clinton, she would not be at a hollywood event right now, being celebrated, being acclaimed as a hero. She would be a social and professional pariah just like Roseanne Barr is right now. And thats something worth pointing out and fighting back against. Apparently, they have a very high high threshold for really outrageous commentary, just like roseannes commentary was reprehensible. Samantha bs commentary was reprehensible. So lets let everyone apologize and get past it, but that doesnt apply for someone who has not ever said anything positive. I dont actually like people shows being canceled. I dont like it either but im saying there has to be fairness. I want to admit that its hypocrisy. She mentioned chelsea clinton. So lets talk about chelsea clinton. Lets talk about how ted nugent said the same derogatory statement about Hillary Clinton. He called her the c word and he ended up at the white house with trump taking pictures with sarah palin, graded at the white house. Its the same exact double standards. You want to cancel her show though. Laura this is where i think that the left, sadly, and again they wanted to champion women, champion womens choice, and so forth and thats all fine. But when you want to stand on this moral high ground, and one of your own, not a conservative, not a republican, but one of your own says something and its just juvenile and stupid and growth, no mike gross, and she said anticatholic things that were horrific, bigoted statements about people of faith which are so fouled that i dont even want to repeat. This is a history and a pattern with her. He said roseanne has a history, while samantha b has a wild history of biased comments about people of faith. Not just catholics but people across the board of faith. Kristen . Whats sad is that samantha b is not an outlier. Conservatives have been the subject of this for a long time. Bill marr made horrible comments about conservative women. The hosts of the vehicle, theyve made so many offensive comments, i cant even count them. But heres another really important point. The media would point to the women in a Trump Administration as shining examples for young girls, if those women were not conservative. Look at ivanka trump, melania trump, Sarah Huckabee sanders. They are strong independent women but because they work for the most hated republican america, they are regularlys slandered and smeared and the media gives those people who are hurling those planters a total pass. Laura i want to read a comment from Stephanie Grisham who just released a statement today. The double standard are truly incredible. Time and time again this family is subjected to hateful lies and all in the name of comedy at the Mainstream Media remained silent. Representative, you can close it out. I want to say that the at the end of the day we do fully condemn anyone who says derogatory statements. But we have to make sure at the end of the day this is not a partisan issue. When you speak about women and you speak racial slurs, you should be condemned. At the end of the day, the same people that are condemning samantha b and roseanne and everyone else should also be condemning the president of the United States that does the same exact derogatory, racial and bitter words. What the left is angry about, laura is that republicans and conservatives are finally speaking their mind. And they are angry because anyone that says any derogatory statements no matter laura we are out of time but im glad that we are all talking about the fact that culture matters. They were all like eliot ness in the untouchables. Truth, justice and the american way. It was about locking up the bad guys and protecting the rest of us. And, there are many dedicated men and women across the country serving as assistant u. S. Attorney who are doing just tha that. But sadly, we have also seen in egregious examples in recent years of prosecutions of prominent figures that seem to have been politically motivated. Prosecutions that resulted in huge miscarriages of justice. One such case was that of conservative filmmaker, author, an old College Friend Dinesh Desousa who was pardoned today by President Trump from in a conviction stemming from a bundled campaign contribution. Obama is a u. S. Attorney went for broke against desousa in a case that could have easily been disposed of with a fine, and should have been. This is desousa who i spoke with exclusively. With regard to barrera, i see him as well as eric holder as part of this obama team of goons if you will that was unleashed to get me in retaliation for the movie i made about obama. And i think for verizon goal was, by getting a fellow indian, he would endear himself to the obama team. This would be filed under the karma is a leap department. Laura he was sentenced to eight months at a Community Confinement center, probation and community service, a 30,000 fine, and counseling. He calls it a failed attempt at reeducation. These are politically motivated opportunists who use their offices for their own personal enrichment to further their careers. Trump recently pardon him, something george w. Bush should have done long before leaving office. Do you remember who decided to appoint special counsel in that case . That brings us to today where many of the same figures who have been celebrated by media elites are back at work using their position and their pedigree, and an ongoing effort to purge the country of president donald j. Trump. What started as concerns about russian collusion has now morphed into an everchanging obstruction of justice narrative. All because trump fired someone who he was constitutionally permitted to fire for any reaso reason. In federal investigations, the government has limitless budgets, subpoena power and an army of prosecutors. So targets should not be chosen or eliminated on the basis of their political views, nor because they are considered big fish whose prosecution could pay big time and a big dividends down the road. Focus on the prosecution, what we found in that fbi file were references to the political viewpoint. Why were they referencing his body of work, why were they referencing his political viewpoint. And it was a knowing violation. Thats why it was criminal. You dont deal with criminal Campaign Finance violations by just a fine. And, he practically goaded the trial judge, and the arkansas trial lawyer reimbursed donors. He had a 9,500 civil fine. Piers odonnell, larry whitmore, a whole list of people in similar situations. Shouldnt have done it and he would come out with that movie about Hillary Clinton or obama. This is someone that was highly affected in a world dominated by the left, namely filmmaking. Absolutely, laura. You laid it out well in your angle about why its clear that information was hidden. And the prosecutor in question has been known and was known at the time and is prominent in the native American Community himself. Its important to remember that its not the department of convict who ever you can to help your friend, its the department of justice. Prosecutors are supposed to exercise their discretion and that discretion is exercise every day and not bringing convictions like this. One of the key facts here, the reason he had to plead guilty was he was being threatened by the prosecutor with an additional five year sentence for obstruction of justice on top of the two years which is the penalty for the offense of less than 25,000. Laura they turn the screws on people every time, and im speaking as a former criminal defense attorney. Thats kind of in my blood. We need prosecutors and they serve an incredibly important purpose and there are lots of dedicated people out there. But this case was ridiculous. From the beginning it should not have been handled that way. I want to play a montage here from media figures today and richard, i want you to react to this. What they said donald trump could be signaling with this pardon. Lets watch. Pardoning him now is sortf a brazen act and sends a message that he is going to intervene and issue pardons basically on his own whim. President trump seemingly passing out pardons to heroes of the far right almost as eagerly as oprah months gifted pontiacs to suburban moms. This is destroying the idea of justice. Its hard to think of someone more undeserving of a pardon. I could think of some. You talked about roddick will go a bench who ended up in jail because he had the appointment power, but he did it correctly. And im just saying, he used his power in a way, we all heard the tapes about how he was doing it. And you may disagree about these characterizations about what people say, and, michael cohen, all the crimes, obstruction, and it goes list by list. Thats exactly what that cast of characters looks like. We agree. You cant do it for corrupt reasons. But you are saying, the pardoning of Dinesh Desousa could be tantamount to destruction of justice . And, there was no pardon in the clinton, bush or Obama Administration for the first two years. It is absolute power. He traded illegally, and, the list goes on and on. This was a hideous, hideous pardon with political ties as well. His wife was a big campaign donor. And i criticize these things but the idea that this is a big signal to people. I think donald trump sees this as an injustice. I think Martha Stewart is a big liberal. Laura President Trump is firing back after the New York Times leaked a supposedly secret memo by Andrew Mccabe suggesting that the president obstructed justice by firing james comey. The corrupt Mainstream Media loves to keep pushing that narrative, but do expect her general report with the clinton email probe will be released imminently. So could that be why we are seeing these suddenly leaked stories . Lets put that through to Ari Fleischer and former Whitewater Deputy independent counsels all and berg. Lots to unpack guys, you get the sense that this is all swirling around the obstruction, and the fact that the mccabe memo is suddenly out there. It seems like mccabe is getting ready for himself perhaps to be prosecuted. But why do you think that is out there now . Well the times i have a history of licking things in a certain way before an unfavorable news story is going to come out. I dont think this is any exception. But also, keep in mind any story that is sourced by mccabe for has to do with a memo written by mccabe, you are not talking about a very credible source according to the latest oig report. I wouldnt worry about it too much. The big thing to keep in mind is, the president has the Constitutional Authority to fire comey as he had to fire mccabe, absent something extra like paying hush money to somebody or lying to a government investigator. It just simply is not obstruction. I would ask everybody who comments on the other networks and acts like it is obstruction to read the Arthur Anderson cas case, where the Supreme Court in a 9nothing vote talked about what was needed for something to be corrupt. Laura Ari Fleischer this seems to be very conveniently timed. We have the new oig report which we keep hearing is going to be released any minute now, and what should be released tomorrow at 5 00 p. M. I hope thats not the case. But this is what the New York Times reporter on the issue of mccabe in this memo had to say. Mccabe goes into this meeting of the justice department, and rosenstein is telling his version of the story and he says, as a matter of fact the president originally asked me to mention russia in the memo. But i didnt think that was a good idea and i didnt do that. So, to mccabe, as i understand it, the memo was there to say, this may not have been about Hillary Clinton. Its a game of telephone tag, but i dont see how even if thats the case, Rudy Giuliani kind of hinted at this, and its not an obstruction of justice. He can fire them for anything he want. Your reaction to this, again, a wild swirl right before this new oig report comes out and whether they decide whether they will charge mccabe. I spent 21 years in washington and one thing i noticed about the bureaucrats and the people who make it to the top of top of the agenciesy are superb at navigating through the washington system and that includes how they handle the media. So any time something bad and looming, thats the time you go into overdrive to get your story out ahead of time to preempt the bad stories that you know are coming. So i will view all of this in that same context. Heres the thing about russia. We have got to the point where people are no longer being precise, everything is vague and the word russia to democrat equals automatic bill. The word russia can also mean that President Trump was frustrated with james comey because james comey would never say in public what he said in private, the trumpets not under investigation in the russia investigation. I found that to be a very understandable sentiment for the president to have. If you are innocent anywhere told you are not under investigation and you are a public figure, of course you want that out. Its not an unreasonable request to a subordinate, and comey wouldnt do it. I think thats why trump fired him. Similar to why he wanted Jeff Sessions to recuse himself, he wanted a fair investigation of this. He wanted this done a fairly because he knew he didnt have anything to hide on the russia issue. So on the point you made about obstruction, a bloomberg reporter addressed it. Lets watch. There is a lot of concern right now along this obstruction investigation, based on our reporting on what we are hearing from people close to the president. There could really be a risk of obstruction here. Obstruction in an impeachment sense because you get into interpretation, you get into intent. Im not sure whether she is a lawyer or not, but this is a rank speculation before this ig report drops, which we are led to believe will be quite damaging to the doj during that entire 2016. Of investigating loris emails. I think it will be embarrassing both to the doj and the fbi, which as you know is part of the doj. But again, if you want to talk about obstruction, and im not talking about you can impeach somebody for anything. If you want to talk about obstruction as a matter of criminal law, i would say, lets say for the purposes of argument, lets assume the worst about President Trump. Lets assume that he was guilty of some underlying crime and that he fired call me because he didnt want a comey to get to the bottom of it. I dont know of one Supreme Court case that would support that interpretation. There are a handful, as you know, and just a handful of Appellate Courts cases over the last 20 or 30 years. Not only does he show premeditation but he kind of argues against a mental defect. He seems completely in control of his planning, completely in control of the manning, and this is his manifesto. This guy is like, he is insane, he doesnt have control of his faculties. He knew what he was doing. Whats worse is the videos. My daughter happen to get murdered in the hallway and so that will be the next videos that the media will be looking at. She was on the third floor, she was shot nine times and thats on the camera, also. They will be looking for those videos, next. That will be heart wrenching. Laura what they are trying to do is keep the School Shooting video game going for the longest time. Thank goodness thats been shut down. Andrew has been lobbying against that. Mark, i know you have strong feelings about that as well. Parents are worried about copycat killers who want fame. They are not focused on what andrew is focused on, how to make the schools safe. Metal detectors or whatever they have to do to make these schools safe. They are practical things that texas is doing and other places, thank goodness. Mark, final words .
