I think repealing the individual mandate is something that republicans have stood for four years ever since obamacare past. I do not see that as a lock. There are rules from getting the full 25 rate. Youve got some members who are pushing to make those rules a little more lenient. The thing is when you do that, that costs money. Republicans have this 1. 25 trillion box that they prayed for themselves. Every time that you try and put something more in that box, you have to take Something Else out. The republican argument is that look, permanent Corporate Tax cuts are worth going to generate canonic growth. If you make those temporary, you are going to lose the whole point of doing this bill. They are a hard thing to give up on some of that. Democrats will make the argument. They will also look at the estate tax, which benefits the very small sliver of the country. They are going to be looking for what we call the distribution staples, who wins, loses. Like we talked about before, you will see the battle of the sample families, where republicans will talk about in 2018, a two parent household making 60,000 seeing a big tax cut. Democrats will find families that have significant itemized medical expenses where they might get a tax increase because they are losing mass detection. You will see all of these examples out there. But republicans also say repealing the individual mandate wouldnt change the number of uninsured. There is some fundamental contradiction where they were lying the money from that, they would count on the money from that even though its coming from a place that doesnt really exist.
