If you look at my record, ive done that since i was in the state legislator. If you want a real reinforcement sent for President Trump, you need me. Bret what about that . In a state legislator, there is probably only a handful of bills, and in my memory, it wouldve been road funding, any education bill, almost any bill that went through or nearly all of them were almost unanimous. The only time in our state legislator that there was ever a partisan difference would have been on the few key bills, just like with donnelly there. He voted against the trump agenda and against the conservative Value Program on any of the important stuff, voting against tax reform, for obamacare originally as a congressman. Voted for the iran deal, voting for planned parenthood. 100 of the time, hes been with the liberal side of his party, and i did on education issues a few times because i come from an area of great public schools. Im prochoice and accountability, but didnt always side. Normally bills went through almost nearly unanimously. Bret the second part was on the military. Im always going to be for making sure that the military has what it wants. Bret support for the military. Support for the military, i liked what trump did in that last bell to actually reenable the military and the fact that a kind of busted the budget would have been where im a fiscal conservative, and i think the president said its the last time hes going to do that. I would hope that thats the truth. I didnt like the idea that year after year, regardless, we keep adding to the federal deficit. Bret new numbers today, 779 billion, heading to 1 trillion. As for Lindsey Graham, if he has information that the crown prince is involved, or that there are better people who should be humming the kingdom, he should share that informatio information. I think that being portrayed as a reformer is overdone, but there arent great candidates necessarily and i think people need to think about where they want things to go after they find out the information. Bret historically, lawmakers calling for some element of regime change doesnt work out too well. The turks on background are telling all kinds of reporters all kinds of things. Horrific, horrific things. Bret the problem is secretary of state pompeo sits with the king, crown prince and says they are having a full investigation and they deny any knowledge of whats happening. And the president repeated that again. He tweeted that he got strong denials again from the crown prince. He also said that if it turns out the ruling family knew about this, it would be very bad. So he seems to be pretty deferential to the denial so far, but dont forget, pompeo went to saudi arabia first, then hes going to turkey. Thats whos doing the investigation, although saudi arabia says there cooperating. But its the turkish investigators in the consulate yesterday. Bret saying that they have been telling people they have evidence. The kingdom has been key to the American Force structure in the middle east for decades. Molly is right, you need facts before you reach any judgment. Once you reach a judgment about whats happening, you need to use prudence to determine your course of action. I think a lot of people in washington are moving very quickly to condemn in the most righteous terms and really take the most aggressive action towards the kingdom without thinking of the possible consequences of such action in this most important of regions. Remember, we are also staring down the iranian theocracy, which doesnt have a very good human rights record on its own. But we are not friends with them. Bret and neither does turkey, frankly. All of that factors in. I want to turn this discussion to the economy. The president talking about the fed again. The biggest threat is the fed because the fed is raising rates too fast, and is independent, so i dont speak to them, but im not happy with what hes doing because you look at the last inflation numbers, theyre very low. But you put them there. Im going to be honest, im not blaming anybody. I put him there. It may be right, it may be wrong. I put some other people im not very happy with, either. For the most part, im very happy with people. Bret hes been in a lot of interviews lately. Heres a look at the dow since the president s election. We seen the up and down in the past week and a half with the big day today, but there you see it. Here you see the economic changes since the president took office. Gdp growth, unemployment rate, Consumer Confidence up significantly, and earnings up as well. Its a really great economy. Thats all the more surprising that republicans are really struggling in the midterm elections. I cant think of a time when a party has had a better economic story to tell, and theyre having trouble telling it. I think the Economic Optimism is probably a big reason why republicans are not struggling to be doing in a made year election two years into a presidency, usually see really large losses but theyre so much optimism with the economy going so well. You were saying they would be even worse off. The issue in the midterms, the fed could become the issue in 2020. If the fed takes that punch bowl away too soon, President Trumps right to be worried about the economic consequences. Im very curious about the Indiana Senate race. We just spoke with mike brown, and we have seen very little polling. The most recent poll is the fox news poll that weve seen right now, but that was two weeks ago. There is a lot of mystery if we are going to see the same effect as other races after the kavanaugh phone. I think its reasonable to think that mike braun might be ahead. Martha all right. Single most important race is the florida governors race. Florida is the mother of all red states, trump needs a republican governor in reelection. That is why that race is so important, and so far, the democrats, Andrew Gillum has had a little lead. Virginias seventh district, Tea Party Populist faces former cia in the richmond suburbs. He ran ahead of President Trump in 2016, if he wins, pulled out and upset, that means its going to be a long night for republicans. I think its one of those races for the type of republican voter who likes the predecessor is the kind of republican voter who will come home and they kavanaugh moment who didnt liked what he saw, who was upset by democratic extremism.
