I think the disturbing i had a hearing, the Inspector General found that the tsa got a failing report card in it terms of a screening this kind of technology. So, what i have asked the secretary to do is deploy the latest technology available, which will be going to like from an xray to an mri, that could it detect this explosive device, so that we dont have that threat. Independent is where the shift is in our poll it, and again, it is plus or minus 4. 5 . It fox news believed the allegations against roy moore, that was the question. And you can see the different numbers with the g. O. P. Voters, but still unsure and 26 26 . So lets start there, as we bring in our opinion. Charles, opinion writer for the washington post. Okay, look at these numbers. What do you see . Well, i think that in particular, the fox poll suggest that we really have no idea what is going on down there, and how it is going to turn out. I think it is very interesting that the split is between those who believe the stories and those who dont, and those who are not sure are almost all within Single Digits of one another. And i think basically that probably bodes well for roy moore because what it comes down to is that people are going to say i dont know what to make of all this, so im going to vote on the politics. Im going to vote on the issues. And if they vote on the issues, obviously roy moore walks away with it. If they vote on character, then he probably wont win. You have National Figures obviously playing a role here. President obama, and calls for jones. It Charles Barkley now. Cory booker campaigning. Obviously trying to get to the africanamerican vote. Get to the polls. Former president obama is now involved in this campaign as well, urging people to get to the polls tomorrow night. And the truth is, we will not know what happens until they do. But this is a big test for republicans and a lot of ways. If roy moore wins, will be sent to decide that they are going to keep him up from being seated, and what president it does that sets in how they move forward on that . What does that due to the g. O. P. Brands, deciding that they know better than the voters of their state . In terms of turndowns, the undecided and the independent voters indicated to me that people are going to go in there and make their decisions at the last minute at a polling time because they are just not sure yet who are they are going to vote for it yet. Well, a couple of thoughts occurred to me. They must be picking up on Something Like your fox results over there in the democratic internal polls. Because they are sending all of these are big guns into the state. And not just the robcalls, but somebody like a cory booker, who is thinking about running for president and probably will, he is sticking his personal prestige on this race. He is hoping to claim credit for an upset with doug jones. So all of that tells me that doug jones has a real fighting chance. The second thing is that Richard Shelbys comment was so interesting. Bret let me play that real quick. We got it to theyearold story, her story, that was enough for me. I said i cant vote for roy moore. I am not going to vote for the democrat. I did not vote for him or advocate for him, but i could not vote for roy moore. The state of alabama deserves better. Bret yes, and as a stauna conservative as they come, and it occurred to me thats the question would be how many Richard Shelbys finger lakes are are there in alabama . Not necessarily go there with roy moore. There are a lot of them. But that may help him too. Bret there have been a lot of questions about this, how will republicans deal with that, how it is affecting 20 to and potentially, but what if you play it out the other way . What happens if doug jones wins it . And if he wins and he is seated, does he vote for tax reform . Does doug jones vote for things that any other Alabama Democrat may vote for . I think on key things, democrats will definitely keep him inline. His record is more conservative, but at the end of the day, one of the most important issues is going to be abortion, and he is not with conservatives on that. He becomes a vulnerable red stage democrat. Like the one from north dakota. This will be over in two years.
