Because they should be, and are, i think it greatly afraid that the judge is just going to keep him in jail. As you mentioned in the intro, the vast wealth that mr. Epstein has at his disposal makes it possible that he will be a flight risk. Second, i will say i think its also an indication that epsteins lawyers know that they are in a top spot. The more evidence that is coming out, the more their client is looking worse and worse, its getting more into even a public corruption type of investigation, in terms of what epstein did to try and influence people to let him off lightly. I think if they are smart, to try to reach a plea bargain and never go to court on this, because that could mean the client could be going to jail for life. When i see the ball moves on how youre going to try the case now its not sex trafficking, thats what his attorneys are asking. They wanted more of a customerbased, moneybased thing. What does that mean for the victims . Because they were shut out the first time in 2008. The victim rights bill, if you will, was not allowed. Was not adhered to. What does that say about the victims of this . View taken away from sex trafficking making something else. I think its a hail mary kind of defense, that has almost a zero probability chance of prevailing in court. What theyre trying to say is under the sex trafficking statute, if mr. Epstein and his associates coerced any of the young women into having, they are in violation of federal law. They will say, there was no coercion, it was a consensual financial transaction. I think thats a real loser. More and more victims, as you say, come forward and tell their stories, thats going to destroy this kind of defense story and its going to be i think it will mean that epstein will go to jail for a very long time. The Mississippi River is at around 16 feet the 16foot level, around new orleans. 20 feet is where the water would start to go over the levy. So it wont take a lot of water here to cause some really significant flooding. Up the center of the storm, you can see it on these little wind barbs are out there. Very far apart from where you see most of the action. Thats good news for us. If those things if we start to get most of that action right around the center of the storm, it gives it a better chance to strengthen. The official forecast does do that. He brings it up to a category one hurricane. I dont think that really matters. Wind will not be the biggest its going to be the amount of rain that falls somewhere here along this Southeastern Louisiana area. And then up across mississippi and alabama. Somebody in there is going to get ten to 20 inches of rain, and its going to cause a lot of flooding problems. The water is incredibly warm for this time of year. These are numbers that you really see kind of at the peak , into the 90s. Where you see that red. If we can get its act together, thats where they are getting it for that category one storm, because even though it doesnt have a lot of time, the water is really warm here across the northern gulf. Storm surge will be a bit of a factor, say three to 6 feet. Thats not huge, but the problem is that that river is at 16 feet in new orleans. So if you get 4 feet of storm surge moving up there, we can start to see that water go over the levees. Obviously we are always very concerned, just about the strength and integrity of the levees and if any of those were to break, we would see a much bigger flooding story. Since we have seen in many other policy equations, theres not really an appetite in the Trump White House for actually doing the policy legwork. Either with congress, or state governments, in terms of changing these things. There was a clear path for them to change the census questions. They did not pursue it, and now they are backtracking. I think the reason they are pursuing this is because he was held up under the supreme court, not over whether it was legal. He had every right in every justification to do so. The court didnt feel they had been entirely open with why they were doing it at all of their motivation. So robert said, i dont want to make a call. It was called capricious acts. Thats what held it up the whole time. If he does an executive order, that will be judged under the same standards and it could get locked up in all kinds of lawsuits.
