They put out a press release saying they had rescued all 44 of the sailors on these two disabled tankers. U. S. Officials now tell us one of the two tanker crews were in fact detained by the iranians thursday after first being rescued by another merchant vessel. One of the crew member spoke earlier today on the Iranian State tv. I am from russia. Their service was excellent, they have hosted us very well. Everything is fine. We are told this is a propaganda video. Only 23 sailors are present in this video. The u. S. Navy says it rescued 21 sailors from the other tanker that was attacked. The u. S. Central command release of this photo showing what it says is an unexploded mine attached to one of the holes of the tinkers attacked outside the persian gulf thursday. This video also released by the u. S. Military shows what it claims is proof of irans involvement in the attacks. Officials say this Iranian Islamic Revolutionary guard but later removed that unexploded mine from the whole of the ship. The suspected iranians are wearing life jackets, not a bomb disposal gear, to handle live ordinance. The japaneseowned tanker was damaged in the gulf of oman as japans Prime Minister visited tehran. Iran denies it played any role in the attacks. U. S. Officials say all 21 sailors from the japaneseowned tanker were rescued by the americanguided missile destroyer bainbridge and have been treated and returned to their shape and are preparing to tow the stricken vessel back to ports. They remain nearby lurking around the damage hole. Both attacks took place roughly 20 miles from iranian shores near the street of hormuz, that strategic waterway were 20 of the worlds oil flows each year. On the guided missile destroyer has been dispatched to the scene to ensure iranian vessels stay away from commercial shipping. Officials say the unexploded mine is the same type used to attack four oil tankers last month in the same area and attacked the secretary of state also blamed on iran. Whats your first observation on who is paired with whom . My first observation is that all these candidates, although they are in the debate stage, it will make it to the first was in iowa because they will run out of money. That traditionally has happened. About half probably wont even make it to the first vote. Second, its hard to break through when you got ten people on the stage. Thats really hard to do. My guess is they will try one of two things. Since this will be largely Party Activists who tend to be more liberal tuning and they will move to the left. Or they will try and come up with creative ways to criticize President Trump because thats what the base of the Democratic Party is looking for. With regard to the two nights, its kind of an undercard to the main event. Harris really . I think so. The first night you got Elizabeth Warren and the nine of the people who are good people but arent pulling quite so well. They arent and what the pundits call the first tier. The second night you got the Vice President , Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg. Those are for people in the top order. Thatll be a more interesting night to look at. Bernie will be kind of feisty. Does he give an elbow to the Vice President or just appeals to the left wing of the Democratic Party base . Harris i think anybody up there will have to get into it because people have to Pay Attention while they still can see some of them. As you pointed out, many may run out of money. But Elizabeth Warren is in an interesting position, i think. Because she in recent polling we will see a more average real clear politics as it comes in and shows us the Bigger Picture but right now shes picking up and already is in second place above Bernie Sanders and a couple of key polls. She basically has the stage all to herself that first night. Something biden and sanders wont get. I think thats exactly right, harris. Shes been gaining traction among Party Activists because she has rolled out a very detailed platform of liberal policies that they like. She is critical of the president , which they like. So she will have a little more stature on that stage then some of the others. That said, they are going to cover more than one person. If somebody can have a standout moment, they will have a chance to get some publicity, which might lead to little more fundraising and the opportunity to actually make it to iowa and new hampshire. I think she did get the benefit of the draw being the one very prominent person on night one. The speed when the president weighed in on the whittleddown democratic field earlier. Lets watch that and i will get a reaction. Everybody knows joe doesnt have it. I see that pocahontas is doing better. I would love to run against her, frankly. I see that Bernie Sanders is not doing well at all. I would have frankly like to have run against. I think its probably those three. I dont see the other ones. Harris and your reaction . My reaction is that the president probably would like to run against Elizabeth WarnerBernie Sanders because you have the opportunity to kind of portray them as too far to the left. In bernies case, literally being for socialism. I think President Trump would like that comparison. With the Vice President i think is a little premature. Youve got to remember, when donald trump came down that is clear he did not poll very well. Everybody thought, no way this guys going to get nominated, little and win the presidency, yet here he is. My guess is of those three candidates to mention, joe biden is the one he would prefer not to run against. Harris senator, whats interesting to me is joe biden has nearly the same name recognition as may be President Trump. Because he has been Vice President , he has run for president two times before. What edge does he have . I know he has missed a couple of key democratic events, and he listed a personal reason for one of them. But you do lose the ability to kind of go up against your intraparty opponents and get sharpened by that. So he will go into this debate without having had that. Thats a good point, harris. The retail politics, answering questions, being put on the spot, that does get you in game shape so to speak. That toughens you for the inevitable giveandtake of the primaries. Experience, substance, they are looking for that. If you look at his support, if you combine Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, they are even or maybe slightly ahead. So my guess is theres going to be a you have a moderate candidate, probably the Vice President. You have a liberal candidate, probably Elizabeth Warren over Bernie Sanders. Since then investigators have found traces of blood in her home, evidence of a cleanup, and rested her estranged husband, fotis dulos, and his girlfriend, michel troconis, after they were spotted throwing away bags of trash containing bloodied clothes and sponges. All along, fotis dulos has told investigators he was not in new canaan the day jennifer vanished.
