The president said this before leaving the white house for the g7 summit in canada a short time ago. Watch. President trump its interesting they caught a leaker and a very important weaker. You am getting information on it i am getting information on it now. It happened last night. Im a big believer of freedom of the press. But im a believer in classified information. It has to remained classified. Harris wolfe denies leaking classified information. The New York Times says action by the d. O. J. Could undermine a free press. Doug mckelway reports from washington. He was a trusted, allegedly nonpartisan staffer as key member of the Senate Intelligence committee had as much or more access to classified information as anyone in congress because it was his job to restore and protect top secret info. This morning in baltimore, 57yearold james wolfe, the former director of security for the committee, was indicted on three counts of making false statements to the f. B. I. , misleading agents about providing Sensitive Information to the reporters. One of those reporters is Allie Watkins of the New York Times. In february, the department of justice notified her in writing it had obtained her phone and email records as part of a leak investigation. The indictment alleges the staffer wolfe used encrypted messages to communicate with the reporter and it alleges that atkins was dating wolfe at the time she was covering the intelligence committee. In a joint statement the Intel Committee chairman and Ranking Member said, this news is disappointing, as the former staffer in question served on the committee for more than three decades and in the armed forces with distinction. However, we trust the Justice System to act appropriately and ensure due process as the case unfolds. The Reporters Committee for freedom of the press said today, seizing a journalists record sends a terrible message to the public and should never be considered except as the last resort. Its calling on the department of justice to explain how they adhered to the guidelines for protecting news gathering for these intrusions. Harris doug mckelway, thank you. Steve russell of oklahoma sits on the oversight and the Armed Services committee. Great to see you today. I know this is a hot topic on the hill today. Whenever you talk about freedom of the press. What is at stake here . Well, i think what is at stake is its a trust. Its a trust between people that we draw our power to consent, we have our power from the consent of the people. Can they trust us with detailed information . Can they trust us with government secrets . But at the same time, to uphold the bill of rights and the freedom of the press, this is what becomes so vital. What you have here is a clear warning shot across the bough if you are violating that trust there are consequences. Harris what do you make of the encrypted messages going between wolf and his girlfriend . They were encrypted messages. Sure. More and more people are using with all the things we learned from google and facebook and the activities of nefarious people trying to breach data in our cyber wars that continue to go on. People are looking for more secure means of communication back and forth. I use whats happened and things of that nature. I dont think its necessarily communicating anything unusual. People are looking for more secure ways to communicate. Harris forgive me. Its james wolfe. I do know that. The reason i ask that question is would it tell us anything about it . So many people are on it. What does accountability look like for james wolfe . The key thing is the indictment does not include provision against the leaking of classified information. That is important to note. As you saw from the joint statement from the Intel Committee, you are going to be on this committee, you are in an absolutely vital trusted position. You have to be trustworthy. So, it is a very serious thing indeed. Harris where do you stand on the issue of taking a peek in the reporters messages . In the case, if you are lying to the f. B. I. As they are trying to get something and that will be determined. We have the indictment, we have the case. Obviously, every person gets their day in court. But you have to get to the nature of what was leaked. The fact that mr. Wolfe was on the senate Intel Committee that handles our important secrets, the house and the Intel Committees, i think that you have to investigate every level. That is at the bottom of the request for the messages. How widely known was the investigation . Im curious if there are others out there. There very well could be. We are talking about keeping secrets, i wouldnt anticipate the department of justice would divulge what the ongoing investigations are. What was clear from the senators statement is that they had been cooperating for several months. Related to this case. Harris i ask that because we know that administrations deal with this from time to time. Leaks. Its been a topic of conversation many times with the current one. We know that former president barack obama went after leakers in his administration. Sure. Yeah. And that is the dichotomy. We want the free press, the free exercise. Our First Amendment is vital to all we do with the values as American People. At the same time to protect national interest, its important that the government have accountability and they establish that. Harris congressman russell before i let you go, on the finer point now and i want to go back to the Obama Administration because they were accused of peeking into a reporters information and background, too. Republicans were cite quite critical of that at the time. What is different here . As you go back, since we have been wearing tricorn hats, nothing is different. We have one side that makes a statement and the party shift. And then you an identical statement from that party. I think that is quite the norm. But what becomes important is the rule of law being followed . If you have leakers and those certainly in the intel community, certainly those in the state, you know, the secretary of state or the department of state rather, defense, it doesnt matter what administration are in power. The secrets have to be maintained. Harris congressman russell, great to have you on the program. First time from the great state of oklahoma. Thank you very much. You bet. My pleasure. Harris fox news on this. We are learning that the longawaited watchdog report on the f. B. I. And the d. O. J. s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation is set to be released next thursday. Inspector general Michael Horowitz has also agreed to testify before the Senate Judiciary committee on june 18. So well get the report and then we get that hearing. The report has already put former deputy f. B. I. Director Andrew Mccabe in legal jeopardy. And uncovered antitrump Text Messages from the f. B. I. Official peter strozk who was part of Robert Muellers special counsel investigation. Top republican Bob Goodlatte says it is important to see if there was any bias in handling of the clinton and the russia probes. Watch. Its going to be very important to see this. In my opinion what we have seen from the strozk page texts and others is incredible bias between how they handled the two major matters. We cant go into another president ial election and have the worlds premier Law Enforcement organization conducting itself in that way. Reforms are underway. Personnel changes are underway. We have to get to the bottom of the facts and the Inspector General will help us do that. Harris chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge joins us with more. Thank you, harris. This letter from Michael Horowitz to the Senate Judiciary chairman Chuck Grassley anticipates the release of the report on the 14th. Public hearing where horowitz can defend the findings four days later. The original mandate focused on the Clinton Emails but based on the title of the congressional hearing it does suggest the scope may with broader. The report puts director comey leadership style under the microscope with the Inspector General exploring whether comey went beyond his authorities at the News Conference when he publicly discussed email investigation and recommended against criminal charges. Responsibility that fell to his boss at the time. Attorney general loretta lynch. Comey since explained that the arizona tarmac meeting with bill clinton days before hillarys f. B. I. Interview for mishandling classified information was a gamechanger. In addition to other intelligence that implies lynch would not let the email case go too far. That intelligence is not public and the reliability unclear. With fox news caught up with lynch on capitol hill recently, she refused to answer questions about the comey allegations. In the draft report, the Inspector General reportedly rebuked lynch for her handling of the federal criminal probe. Comey testified to congress that lynch advised him to call the criminal investigation a matter. Comey said the language concerned him because it mirrored the same language used by the clinton campaign. Meantime a former Justice Department official told fox news the cooperating witnesses can review the Inspector General findings and argue against the conclusions. That is the likely explanation for the recent delays. There has been a long delay in the issuance of the report. That could be attributable to a number of things. One possibility there are a lot of people who take strong exception to what the Inspector General is about to say. They want to push him off his conclusions and maybe want to introduce additional evidence that vindicates them. Fox news previously reported that the Inspector General findings run to the hundreds of pages. Typically the Inspector General report may be 30 or 40 pages. One official likened it to sort of the war and peace of Inspector Generals report. Harris after all of that criticism they might need a special counsel again, a second time and the i. G. Might not be able to get it, it does answer back if the report is that long, perhaps. We shall see. Catherine herridge, thank you very much. Youre welcome. Harris Robert Driscoll served as Deputy Assistant attorney general under president george w. Bush. Glad to have you here today. Thank you. Harris what to make of this as this all comes together . First of all, i want to get your initial response to what we are learning. Well, i mean, i think its going to be great to finally get this laid out. I mean if you look at what happened with Andrew Mccabe and the report about one narrow portion of this released earlier, a few weeks ago, this was so detailed, it wasnt just conclusions. I was we think he lied and here is where he lie and here is four pieces of evidence proving he was lying. I think that is the detail you will be looking at, which is why its such a long report. I think it will be great to finally get some conclusions from someone who is generally trusted by both sides of the aisle in terms of the spin techor general hor Inspector General horowitz as to what happened with comey and a. G. Lynch and mccabe. All of those people will be addressed in this. Well see what happens. I am looking forward to it. Well have clarity rather than speculation. Harris there were calls for a Second Special counsel from the republicans who wondered in the Inspector General had reach to go after people who since left the agencies, the f. B. I. And the d. O. J. You can ask them to testify but the i. G. Wouldnt be able to compel them to, the way a special counsel would. When you hear about the lenk of this, and potentially the depth, what do you say . I have good much faith in Inspector General horowitz. I dealt with him in my private practice and i have made referrals to him even during the last administration. No political bias one way or the other. He took action when it was warranted. People lost their jobs. I mean he is not afraid of the political consequences of something. They have authority. Again, people wont willynilly give up a government job to avoid interview with the Inspector General unless they are convinced they have real problems. He was able to interview comey and mccabe. He has been able to interview a lot of people. Soly its see the report. There is a u. S. Attorney who has a grabbed jury ability who is overseeing this and will make prosecutorial decisions so there are pieces of the case that need to be filled out. John huber in utah will be able to take care of that. D. O. J. Has this covered to the extent there are things that need to be prosecuted coming out of it. Harris its interesting and we have had members of the committee on the program in recent days. I kept asking them because it kept getting delayed, when they would ask questions of i. G. Horowitz. Now it looks like that will happen after the release a few days later june 18. We have that on the bottom of the screen for viewers. Quickly, what would be among some of the things youd like to see the senators ask . Well, i think what i want them to ask is, you know, were all the emails there . Were any documents altered or destroyed . Who was not truthful with them . Ask for broader conclusions of do you think there was a problem with bias in the head of the f. B. I. . Or do you think there were individual cases of misconduct and they dont really connect to each other . But i want the broader picture about whether there is a systemic problem at the top of the f. B. I. And d. O. J. In that investigation. I dont know what is true. But i think mr. Horowitz has a good idea by this point. Harris its interesting because if you break this up and say okay, there was the bias of strozk and page against President Trump. And then there was potential bias in terms of how the Hillary Clinton email scandal or the investigation was handled as well, those are separate. As it pertains to clinton we know that the emails and the things were destroyed. We know part of the story. The underlying conduct is technically outside the report. But what is within the report is how they reacted and handled that. I suspect and i dont know if this is the case but horowitz would be free to draw conclusions to say when you have a destruction of evidence its unusual someone wouldnt be charged or if you allow someone to sit in as an attorney to a witness who is also subject of the investigation, that is contrary to the d. O. J. Procedure. I think those are the kind of findings you will find. Not anything conclusive about hillary emails themselves. Harris your job as a former Deputy Assistant attorney general was basically to build a case and prosecute somebody. Do you see that happening as we move forward . Particularly in the Hillary Clinton point where she said well, nothing is going to happen to her because she didnt do anything wrong. Does this report have the potential to point to anything that would have been illegal in that regard . Are we searching for facts to know what happened . I think that its focused less on Hillary Clinton. I think for good or for ill, that investigation is probably over. Even if there was, even if a decision was incorrect. I think it would be hard for the government to come back after her. But i think you could get pretty strong conclusions about whether or not there was Improper Conduct by the folks that were supposed to be investigating that. Went on to investigate the trumprussia connections as well. Harris Robert Driscoll, thank you for your time and expertise. Good to see you. Thank you verying if me on. Harris President Trump is participating in the annual g7 summit amid clashes with World Leaders over international trade. The president has promised to focus on strengthening our trade deal. Americas side. During his meetings there this weekend. Well talk about what we can expect as the details come into focus next. President trump they dont mention the fact that they have trade barriers against our farmers. They dont mention the fact that they are charging almost 300 tariffs. When it all straightens out, well all be in love again. Alright, i brought in new max protein. To give you the protein you need with less of the sugar you dont. Ill take that. [cheers] 30 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar. New ensure max protein. In two great flavors. Harris a story developing on the g7 summit underway officially in canada. President trump participating in an official welcome ceremony a short time ago. We showed you this live as it happened. He went down and took a traditional photo with the canadian Prime Minister and his wife. Now he is set to meet with the World Leaders where he vowed to focus on strengthening our nations trade deals, reciprocity. This is what he said earlier before he left. President trump if we have unable to make a deal, well terminate nafta. Well have a better deal. If we are unable to make a deal, we will be better off. Right now we are not going to live with the deals the way they are. European union streets us unfairly. Canada, very unfairly. Mexico, very unfairly. With that being said, i think we will probably very easily make a deal. Harris so tensions are escalating between the commanderinchief and french president Emmanuel Macron and canadian leader Justin Trudeau. They are both lashing out for the tariffs on the steel and the aluminum industries. Kevin corke has more from quebec. Kevin . Kevin you mentioned the word reciprocity and what the president wants is for the Global Partners to be equitable and treat us fairly when accessing their marketplaces. Particularly if you consider how easy they are to access the american marketplace. The president is talking about this strongly. He talked about it at great length before leaving to come here to the g7 summit. Now the president in particular wants to make sure that the Global Trading partners are simply treating us fairly. That is what he said he would like to get done while he is here. He made it abundantly clear that we are getting the short end of the stick with the trade deals so that is part of his mission at the g7. Let me take you to twitter to show you an example of what the president calls clearly unfair trade. For example he said canada charges the u. S. A 270 tariff on dairy products. They didnt tell you that, did they . Not fair to our farmers. So let me take you inside the numbers beyond that. People may be saying well, you dont want to get into an idea of a trail war or a trade dispute with the Global Partners. But i want to put this in perspective. When you look at the numbers in terms of the g. D. P. And the trillion of dollars, the u. S. Economy is frankly Even Stronger than the rest of the g7. Obviously, the u. S. Has plenty of leverage there. Now the president was also expected to have a chance to meet with Emmanuel Macron. We will talk about that a bit later. He is expected to meet with his canadian counterpart, the Prime Minister of canada Justin Trudeau later on this afternoon. I want to run one more thing by you while i have a moment. The president talked about russia. He thought russia should rejoin the collective of major economies. He said they should be at the table. Let me share a bit of what he had to say about that and i will talk to you on the back side. President trump now, i love our country. I have been russias worst nightmare. If Hillary Clinton got in, i think putin is probably going man, i wish hillary won. Because you see what i do. With that said, russia should be in this meeting. Why are we having a meeting without russia being in the meeting . I would recommend and its up to them but russia should be in the meeting. They should be part of it. Kevin okay, i think that is an interesting take. But you should keep this in mind. You and i know this and many many of maybe many of the viewers know this. Russia was kicked out because they invaded crimea in eastern ukraine. There is a statement now saying since then we have seen malign activity from russia including in the streets of sals youbury in the u. K. Before any conversations takes place about russia rejoining it needs to change its approach. That is from a senior government official. Very interesting idea the president had there. Not being warmly received as you can well imagine so far here in quebec. Harris well, russia has had a history, rather nasty one of illegally annexing the neighbors like crimea. That would be part of the problem. Kevin corke, a lot for us to chew on. Thank you very much. I want to bring in Fox Business Network expert making money charles payne. Lets talk about where we are with canada and france. It seems like some of it is worked out on twitter. I dont know if you caught french president macron saying we can go ahead without the United States and make it a g6 summit. Ill start with canada. Justin trudeau is the lead fighter there and they are the host. In addition to the 270 tariff on dairy that President Trump mentioned there is a tariff on sausage. 49 on wheat. 27 on bovine. And 18 on table linen. This is Something Interesting people dont know. When we formed nafta, there was a loophole for the unfiltered milk that is used for yogurt and things like that. So our American Farmers are making 150 150 million on it. The canadian Dairy Farmers got upset. They put a tariff on that. That was a couple of years ago. So i hear a description we are mistreating our friends, im like cmon, guys. That is a false narrative there. There is a also narrative that somehow the tariffs are not in play already. Can the has 19,500 tariffs. Every country uses them. As far as going to battle with them or the g6, dont forget the g7, the goal of the g7 global economy, security, and energy. That was the three things they were formed for. America is on the cusp of being the Number One Oil producer. Canada trying to get oil out of sand maybe it will work or not. They are not going to go it alone. But i do find it interesting because when we got out of t. P. P. , canada was able to craft special deals for them. This is what Justin Trudeau said. He said you dont do trade in the 21st century like you did before. Trudeau said that. To get canada better deals, protectionist deals under the guise of protecting cultural industries. By the way when its all done, they bragged. We got a better deal for canada. Harris so our president is saying he is looking for a better deal for america based on the National Security which is one of the things you said they can move on. Absolutely. As far as e. U. Harris that is how i understand it. Justin trudeau did the same thing when we left t. P. P. He put together a deal that provided protection harris why cant we do that . That is the big question. That is the hypocrisy of it all. The e. U. Threatening the tariffs against us. Let me tell you harris mexico already put a 3 billion Tariff Program in place. Listen to what the e. U. Is going to target. Cranberries. You know what the tariff is already . 22 . Orange juice. Harris how much worse could it be . Thank you. 23 . Harris that is a quarter of the value of what you are paying. But think where they come from. Harris these are targeting specific constituencies and specific lawmakers. Right, right. Harris i know what states they come from. Indiana and right. But it does harris wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that the other countries are looking at our, if you will, electoral map making the decisions . China looked at it. They are looking at it because they know they have a strong ally in america. The American Media. If the American Media can say trumps tariffs are going to hurt the voters in indiana harris interesting. E. U. , china knows this. But they revealed their own hypocrisy targeting these things. Harris quickly, when the president throws in russia, how complicated does it get . Real complicated. To your point, he threw it in there. He likes to throw in the controversial things. Harris he is a dealmaker. He says ill put it up and if they dont want it no big deal. That is not the crux of these things. These are our friends but we have a very unfair trade arrangement or to quote Justin Trudeau one more time, you dont do trade in the 21st century like you did before. Harris you are passionate about this. I am. Harris 6 00 p. M. Eastern, ill be perched ready to watch. Thank you. Fox business network. Dont miss it. We are days away from the historic facetoface meeting between President Trump and kim jong un. Now the president is floating a potential white house visit for the north Korean Leader if that summit goes well. Warning of harsher sanctions if talks fall apart. Talk about a carrot stick. What can we expect . Ill talk to a lawmaker on the hill next. President trump is hopeful. But he is also going in the summit with his eyes wide open. We have seen how many inadequate agreements were struck in the past. You can be sure that President Trump will not stand for a bad deal. Melatonin is the bodys own sleep ingredient. Only remfresh uses ionpowered melatonin to deliver up to 7 hours of sleep support. Number one sleep doctor recommended remfresh your nightly sleep companion. Available in the Natural Sleep section at walmart. And you look amazingly you lcomfortable. When your vneck looks more like a uneck. Thats when you know, its halfwashed. Add downy to keep your collars from stretching. Downy and its done. Harris fox news alert. President trump is gearing up for next weeks summit with kim jong un and he now he says he may invite the north Korean Leader to the white house if their meeting goes well. But he is also warning, he is prepared to impose more than 300 additional sanctions if the talks fail. Meanwhile, the president today responded to a question about his comment from yesterday. Where he said the summit will be more about attitude than preparation. Watch. President trump i have been preparing all my life. I always believe in preparation. But i have been preparing all my life. You know the oneweek preparations, they dont work. Just ask hillary what happened to her in the debate. Harris but Senate Minority letter Chuck Schumer jumped on the president playing down the need to prepare. He tweeted this. With icbms and Nuclear Warheads in the hands of north korea, the situation is far too dangerous for seatofthepants negotiating. Bring in Mike Gallagher of wisconsin, serves on the house Armed Services and the Homeland Security committee and a great guest to have on this. Thank you for being on the program. Thank you for having me. Harris first of all, the president didnt say he wasnt going to prepare at all. But he said compare it to he is going to be ready to negotiate. What do you make first of all of his comments . No one isnt xing no one is expecting the president to master details of the uranium enrichment and processing but he has to deliver a simple and a forcem forceful message to say to kim jong un there is two options. Behind door number one is suffering and pain for your people. And number two is peace and prosperity if youre willing to fully dismantle, commit to the complete, irreversible dismantlement. From everything i have seen i think the president s team are prepared to deliver the message. I wish them the best doing so. Harris you know, the president kind of went with a carrot and a stick approach if you will, with this. If things go well, ill bring you to the white house. Lets hang out and deepen our understanding of one another is my paraphrase of that. Or the stick. I mean this could hurt 300 additional sanctions. What do you make of that . I think it is encouraging to hear them talk about being willing to impose more pressure on the regime. I think its important that the white house in general and the president in particular be prepared to walk away if necessary. I think part of the reason we negotiated a bad position with the iran deal it was obvious to everybody that obama was desperate for a deal. And would not walk away. If you want a deal badly enough, you are going to get a very bad deal. So, i hope we communicate to the North Koreans that we will walk away if they are not serious about this. Harris a couple of observations. This comes after a meating with japans leader shinzo abe. We know that abe wanted the president tougher in the maximum pressure zone. We learn the flip of coming to the white house will be 300 additional sanctions if the talks fail. But i dont want anybody to miss what the president is doing here. I want you to fill in the blanks, too. The president isnt saying he will walk away. It is going to hurt when he walks away. Sure. I believe we have only begun to scratch the surface in terms of what we can do with the allies like the japanese to turn up the pressure. Not just on the North Koreans, but on the chinese. I hit the would i think out would be a good idea for the Treasury Department to send letters of inquiry to certain large chinese banks that i believe are engaged in Money Laundering and evading sanctions on north korea now. Its interesting to begin a discussion with the japanese on a joint program for perhaps boost phase intercept Development Technology now. So that is along with me saying there is much more we can do. We have many options now. So if we find out next week that kim jong un is playing us, we can talk away and start to really turn up the pressure. Harris interesting. All right. Now here is where you come in to play more substantively. The secretary of state said he sees the administration wanting congress to have a say in any sort of a nuclear deal. Lets watch mike pompeo. We are hopeful that we will put ourselves in a position where we can do something the Previous Administration didnt do. Right . They signed a flimsy piece of paper. We are hoping to submit a document that congress would also have a say in it, that would give the currency and the strength and elongation to the process. Harris democrats ive talked to on the program say they are ready to step up and be part of the solution in the bipartisan manner. Tell me what is happening on the hill . Its encouraging first to hear secretary pompeo say that. Really, two things are going on here. One that actually has the procty practical effect to enhance the leverage when they sit down with the North Koreans because they can point to us and say listen, our system of government, the Congress Gets a say. This has to be approved by the American People through the elected representatives. So we need a good deal. Complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement deal. This is encourage to hear him learn lessons of where the Previous Administration went wrong. The deal wont stand the test of time unless Congress Weighs in. President obama went a different route and signed a personal agreement with the Supreme Leader of iran. It evaporated. The Foreign Policy achievement is now tarnished and crumbled. The Trump Administration wants a deal to stand the test of time. Its important to work as a partner to improve the negotiating hand and ensure the deal lasts. Harris that idea of leverage is interesting with congress behind the deal. I know how divided you can be on the hill. The democrats and the republicans. Some democrats are telling me they are ready to step in there alongside you. They put the deal memo if you will, some of them sent it to the president and what they would like to see done with north korea. Real quickly. There was a recent survey and this is what we found. The money remains on our president donald trump. 40 . Kim jong un 30 . We are rounding that out and why are we talking about that . The president looked upon now as more than just a dealmaker but one within Foreign Policy. We have Seen Movement among democrats on the hill giving this president some credit. There is cause to be skeptical because of the past north korean behavior. Well see. I hope we use this as nothing else but an opportunity to flush out kim jong un to see if he is serious when he talks about the denuclearization. He has proven to be a master at manipulating the south korean and the western media. So we should be very skeptical. But i will give him every opportunity to prove me wrong and i wish the negotiating team and the white house the best. Its coming up in four days. We will see the history made if it holds together. Representative mike gal gerl from the great Mike Gallagher from the great state of wisconsin. Good to see you. Thank you. Harris President Trump is in quebec for what is expected to be a contentious meeting of the g7 leaders. What that could mean for the escalating standoff on trade. Well talk more. Stay close. Its just a burst pipe, i could fix it. laugh no. With claim rateguard your rates wont go up just beacuase of a claim. I totally couldve. wife nope switching to allstate is worth it. To give you the protein you need with less of the sugar you dont. Ill take that. [cheers] 30 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar. New ensure max protein. In two great flavors. Harris we told you last hour about Charles Krauthammer and his battle now with cancer. Mike emanuel in the washington, d. C. Bureau. Mike . Mike Charles Krauthammer is a legend and so many of us was hoping and praying he would return to share his brilliant analysis with us. In a statement charles tells us however, recent tests revealed that the cancer has returned. There was no sign of it as recently as a month ago, which means its aggressive and spreading rapidly. My doctors tell me the best estimate is i have only a few weeks best to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over. He went on to say, i leave this life with no regrets. It was a wonderful life, full and complete with the great loves and the great endeavors that make it worth living. I am sad to leave but i leave with the knowledge that i have lived the life that i intended. Fox news chairman Robert Murdock issued this statement harris charles has had his share of memorable moments. I think it will snow in hell before the d. O. J. Is going to go after her. Number within im a psychiatrist in remission. Doing very well. I havent had a relapse in 25 years. The biggest error we make is to lose the damn war because we refuse to recognize who the enemy is and what it requires. Mike our love and our prayers to charles and his family. Harris set the bar so high for the rest of us. And getting that statement from him directly today was amazing. A Pulitzer Prize winning political commentator who had such an impact and still does on the political conversation today. Mike emanuel, thank you. Thank you, harris. Harris well be right back. You might take something for your heart. Or joints. But do you take something for your brain. With an ingredient originally found in jellyfish, prevagen is the number one selling brainhealth supplement in drug stores nationwide. Prevagen. The name to remember. Come hok. , babe. Nasty nighttime heartburn . Try new alkaseltzer pm gummies. The only fast, powerful heartburn relief plus melatonin so you can fall asleep quickly. Oh, what a relief it is dana hi, everyone. Im dana perino. On the the Daily BriefingPresident Trump in canada to meet with the g7 leaders where there is tough talk on trade. Will anything get accomplished . We are expected to see him in 15 minutes from now and well bring it to you live. And the white house unveiling new ads to fight opioid addiction. We share it with you and speak to kellyanne conway. The former staffer charged with leaking classified information is due in court any minute. The latest on his case at the top of the hour. Harris today we are launching a special series called heroes on the home front. Where we spotlight the men and women serving our nation and their families here at home. Every friday on this program outnumbered overtime between i know and july 4, we will feature Different Military families from each branch of service until we run out of weeks. Then we will continue to do it beyond that if we have to. And ask them to share their stories. As proud americans. Today we welcome a young couple, just 21 years old these guys are. Stationed at Norfolk Naval base in virginia. U. S. Navy petty officer third class jacob howell and his wife meg howell. Great to have you both. Thank you. Harris i want to talk to you and peel back the veil on what it is like to live the military life. You are very young and you made a decision to get married young because of your feeling that the military put you in a position to make serious decisions early on. Talk about that. Meg, you can start. This is something . You asked me five years ago where i would have seen my life at this time, i wouldnt have ever guessed that i would be a military wife at 21. Its not typical for a 21yearold to be married nowadays so i think just the military in general you have to deal with more mature things and it requires you to grow up a little bit faster than i think a usual 21yearold in college would be they would be dealing with Different Things at this age. Harris jacob, i imagine having her by your side and you facing deployment also is the kind of strength that many civilian people cant imagine that you would need. Yes, maam, it can be very challenging. But being able to adapt is one thing that you definitely need in the military, even in a marriage life. Harris tell me a little bit about some of the lessons that you are already cleaning from military life. Jacob, ill start with you first. Definitely the trustworthiness. I need to be able to communicate. You have to have things in line because even though we go on deployments you can go on a detachment which can be two weeks at a time but it can come up every now and then. With that coming up so often, you have to have things in line to be able to make sure that your spouse back home has what she needs to be comfortable and safe. Harris but i understand, too, meg, you love this life. What do you want people to know about living as a Military Spouse . I think i would definitely always remember that you are not alone. I do. This is something that has taught us a lot of lessons. Its made me a stronger person because of the things i have had to deal with on my own. Coming from a small town, moving to a huge area, you know, Naval Base Norfolk is the Largest Naval base in the world. So the area and it is huge. So having to navigate that by yourself without jake being here is definitely something that has made me a stronger person. Harris jacob and meg, thank you for sharing part of your military story.
