Relations with that woman. Monica lewinsky is back with a bombshell tellall. What does it mean for Democratic Front runner Hillary Clinton . Lets get together and feel all right and oh, man, where in the world is toronto mayor rob ford . All this and more tonight. First tonight, more absolutely horrendous news from nigeria. Terrorists raiding another village and kidnapping more young girls. In the meantime, the search for 270 girls cisnapped last month is growing more desperate by the minute. Heather is live in nigeria. Can you give me the information about the search and about the new kidnappings . Well, today, from another town in a state north of nigeria, eight children were stolen from their parent at gunpoint. Thats about all we know about those children at the moment, but they were all girl. Thats part of an alarming trend after all these girls were kidnapped just three weeks ago. As far as the search goes, the u. S. Government, according to the Nigerian Government, has agreed to send military access and personnel to nigeria and the government has accepted and were hoping they do that soon. Boko haram is the group that has admitted to taking the 276, now presumed the eight girls, as a side note. Boko haram translates to western education is sinful. What is their plan, or what are they saying theyre doing with these girls . Well, in a video released monday, the guy who is the leader of boko haram said he had made the girls his slaves and he planned to sell them, even girls as young as 9 years old, as wives. What is the nigerian president , president good luck johnson doing in an effort to protect the girls or to get them back . Well, theres a lot of pressure on president jonathan to get these girls back. Theres been protests all over the country nearly every day for the past week. The president has promised to save the girls. He has not been specific about how hes going to save the girls, but he has asked for help from america, from the u. K. , from china, and from france, to help come in and help the security forces. Is there any information whether the 276 are getting food, clothing, or shelter . Do we have any details of the ones that havent been sold or havent been something . Is there any information about their care . Theres some conflicting information about this. Boko haram has said that two of the girls have died from snake bites. The president has said his information tells him that they are all safe at this point and all healthy. How does the president know that . Is there any communication between president Goodluck Jonathan and boko haram . How does he know that . Thats the problem for us as observers is we dont know how he knows it. And they wont really tell us how they know it. Well, it is sparking outrage here in the United States. I can tell you that. We have protests at the nigerian embassy. The president of the United States is talking about it. What is the attention that is getting to nigeria . I imagine its even more explosive . Yes, it has sparked protests all over the country. People are pouring out on the streets, crying and wailing. People saying every one of those girls is everyones daughter or everyones sister. Of all the boko haram attacks i have covered, this is by far the most emotional for nigerians everywhere in the country, not just in the northeast where attacks usually take place. Is a fair description of boko haram an Islamic Extremist Group . Its definitely an extremist group, although scholars in nigeria would not consider them islamic. Do they have an enormous amount of power there . Do you have any idea the size of the group . From the videos, they appear to have a lot of vehicles and weapons and quite a few soldiers. Its not exactly known how much, but the attacks continue to get worse, and they continue to display on their videos heavy artillery and large amounts of soldiers busing in to the attacks. Heather, thank you. Thank you. This is a fox news alert. Moments ago, the Senate Passing a bipartisan and unanimous resolution condemning the kidnapping of the Nigerian School girls. Thats not all. For the first time, president obama speaking out about the kidnapping calling it heart breaking and outrageous. Also in washington, a protest outside the nigerian embassy. Accusing the Nigerian Government of putting its head in the sand. Bruce was there. Bring back our girls. Why are we not talking about this . Why are we not holding those accountable for making sure we as nigerian citizens are safe in our country . Nigeria is being destroyed. Its been going on too long and its time to bring our girls back. Enough is enough. As women we have the right not to be kidnapped, sodomized, raped or whatever is going on. Unacceptable. The Community Needs to act. We need answers. We need action. This could have been prevented. Its we have to do everything. Enough is not good enough. When do we want them . Now. All right, lets go off the record for just a minute. As i was driving to work today, i decided to take a detour to the nigerian embassy. I heard there was a protest about the incredible cruelty, the kidnapping and selling of the girls. I wanted to see the demonstration myself and take these pictures for you to get you closer to the story. Last week, before we began to do the story here on the record, i blogged about it because i want to get the word out. Not only am i outraged but im frustrated. I want to help, and you know what . I bet you do, too, but how . Nigeria is thousands of miles away, and these cruel islamic extremists are beyond yours and my reach. I want to wring their necks. I bet you want to do the same thing. In the meantime, im blogging, taking pictures, and talking about it. Tweet like crazy. Use hash tag bringourgirls back. The more tweets, the more talks, the better. Its also time to stop people from being politically correct. When it comes to islamic extremists and what they do the teen girls, ive had enough. How about you . Thats my off the record comment tonight. Now to benghazi and news the state department is withholding emails. One subject line, fox news. Fox news chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge joins us. Nice to see you. That was provided to the court in a lawsuit. How much do we know about it . The original report was based on the reporting by myself and my colleague, bret baier. And based on the court documents, this report is a huge problem to the administration because it was directly in conflict with what the president was saying, as well as Senior Administration officials, and it shows that there was a split. The Intelligence Community believed it was terrorism from day one. Most of the evident showed it was premeditated early on, but the administration went down a completely different tact. Why dont we have the content of the emails . What is it the administration justifies their withholding the content of the emails . Justice Department Lawyers have argued to a federal court that this is deliberative. This is talking about what kind of media strategy theyre going to develop to deal with this fox news report. That is their justification for withholding the content of all of those emails that went to the most senior level of this administration. Denis mcdonough, who was then the Deputy National security add visor, john brennan, and ben rhodes, who was the communication Strategic Communications person. The question, though, is whether this is going to hold up in the court, and Judicial Watch told me they think its highly likely the contents will ultimately be released by the federal court. You report faction in the news division, but so often in the city, things are classified because theyre embarrassing to the administration. Theyre not related to National Security or even the deliberative process, because we want them to talk freely and advise each other, but we also dont want things hidden and chilled. When is this likely to come to some sort of fruition either way . It probably will take several more months, but you make an excellent point. The contents of the email were unclassified as they were circulated. Now they have stepped back and said we need to protect the contents so we can talk freely in the future. The fact theyre unclassified in the beginning . I dont want to make guesses, but what we have seen as a pattern in the documents is unclassified emails were then retroactively classified making them out of reach. Now to the medias coverage of benghazi or make that lack of coverage. Last night after the news, trey gowdy had been chosen to chair the select committee on benghazi, and more news, not one of the three Major Broadcast Networks mentioned benghazi on their evening broadcasts. A. B. , first to you. The nighttime news, abc, cbs, nbc, they didnt mention it. Was benghazi and the selection of trey gowdy and other related benghazi news not news . Of course its news. It was the biggest story, i think, bigger than the email release, which took place a week ago. The fact that the speaker moved forward with a decision that he had really wrestled with for a very long time about going outside the normal Committee Process and house of representatives, going with a select committee, and then naming someone to lead it and setting up the structure for it was big news. I want to make it clear that the hill newspaper has had six stories on this in less than 36 hours and one right away when chairman gowdy was named. This is a big story now, and i think since the email and since the select committee, its going to be very hard for the administration to ignore, to continue to withhold, and hard for the media to ignore. Susan, not doing it on abc, nbc, cbs, but the morning shows, no mention of benghazi, of what happened in the preceding 24 hours. Right, i have heard some people suggest a grand conspiracy or coordination, but you have to ask what would have been the outcome if the president , if it was a Republican Administration . What would the scrutiny have been like . Look at the Chris Christie bridgegate scandal that has gotten wall to wall coverage on some networks while this has been ignored. It does suggest this is lopsided. Maybe its not on the newscasts, morning, evening news, but a lot of people get their news online these days. I looked at a couple of these websites before i came on. Every single one had a story about benghazi. The evening news has been the gold standard. Its free. You dont have to pay for it. A lot of americans have cable. Why wouldnt the evening news shows not have it . They dont cover politics sometimes. Theres a lot going on. Im just saying people get their news a lot of different ways. Each of the networks were talking about had stories online, as did the washington post. A. B. , as we sort of look ahead on this, do you foresee this, with a new select committee, is this going to be sort of a battle between republicans or democrats who think were going to get new information . It depends on how the democrats play ball. Right now, you hear from the minority leader, nancy pelosi, she wants a 50 50 ratio and a chamber made up of a majority of republicans. Thats not going to fly, and House Speaker boehner pointed out when she was once speaker, she had a panel on climate change, and the ratio was 96. Theyre proposed a 75 ratio. Why not 76, why are they getting the two extra . Thats a good question. Maybe we could ask chairman gowdy. But i think what chairman gowdy has been saying for 24 hours is before the democrats actually accuse us of being political and this being a witch hunt, why dont they join the investigation and if they dont like what they see, they can leave it. But for now, the democrats should join with Good Intention and probably let the republicans have a majority and they can work out a fair number. Its hard to write it off before you even join it. Stay with us. Monica lewinsky says its time to bury the blue dress. Shedding new light on her affair with president clinton. What you have never heard her say about the former president and first lady, next. Also, toronto mayor rob ford, is he missing, and is he the subject of a worldwide man hunt . The story just got a whole lot weirder. The latest on this story coming the latest on this story coming up. When folks think about what they get from alaska, they think salmon and energy. But the energy bp produces up here creates Something Else as well jobs all over america. Engineering and innovation jobs. Advanced Safety Systems technology. Shipping and manufacturing. Across the United States, bp supports more than a quarter million jobs. When we set up operation in one part of the country, people in other parts go to work. Thats not a coincidence. Mattress discounters finished answering questions about her affair with president clinton. Telling all or nearly all in a new vanity fair article. She writes she deeply regrets the affair and she was made a scapegoat to protect the clinton presidency. Why is she doing this now . Why did she write this story . The clintons are pretty hot right now. You have to question the timing right now, because Hillary Clinton is very much in the news. Bill clinton is back in the news. But she wrote it . She wrote it for vanity fair, and its not like people dont read it. Shes 40 years old. Its stunning, isnt it . Monica lewinsky is 40. Time flies. Why do you think she wrote this . I may be naive. I read the excerpts, and i thought what she said was really heart felt. It could be she hit this milestone age and wants to clear the air. I read what she wrote and i was really impressed with her attitude and the way she reflected on what happened. Then theres the question of the timing here. Would this story be as relevant or interesting if Hillary Clinton wasnt the perspective 2016 democratic nominee . Probably not. Now does it affect Hillary Clinton . I think it works to her benefit. Were two years away. The time for the Monica Lewinsky thing to be played out for whatever is left of it, so by the time she does run, its a story with not much news left to it. That works ipher advantage. I thought she jabbed the former secretary of state, saying she blamed women, meaning herself. She said something about not being emotionally there for bill, and she blamed Monica Lewinsky. I thought it was sort of a jab by moncue lewinsky at secretary clinton. Secretary clinton in her letter to her friend, had some choice words for Monica Lewinsky, that she was a loony tune or something. I think she really was compelled by the suicide, as she said, of a rutgers student who was caught in an interlude on video and took his life. That was years ago. She described how her mother was so afraid after this blew up that she was going to take her own life, that she slept by her bed and followed her around night and day because she was so afraid her daughter was overwhelmed. Thats an interesting perspective she feels the need to share that with someone who has been mortalized and embarrassed. Im not saying shes not being sincere, but i think the timing is curious. I think she hopes she can do something. The timing is curious. I understand her need to take a few shots, but it seems like it was genuine. I agree so much with susan that there were so many lifetimes between now and when Hillary Clinton declares her candidacy. It seems like shes going to wait forever. This was old news and this is kind of like the nail in the coffin, done. Done . I dont think she was blaming Hillary Clinton in the line you mentioned. I thought she was saying, bill clinton, dont blame yourself, Hillary Clinton, its your husband. I thought she was saying women tend to blame themselves. It seemed like a million years ago. Panel, thank you. Controversy exploding over former secretary of state Condoleezza Rices canceled speech at rutgers. Youre going to hear from the student leading the charge next. Also, this is so weird. Toronto mayor rob ford vanishing into thin air. He was on his way to rehab, but did he get there . Where is he . Thats coming up. Get the flexcare platinum from Philips Sonicare and save now. Philips sonicare former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice cancelling her commencement speech at rutgers university, but the controversy far from over. Faculty was protesting, but now several student groups are outraged shes not speaking and theyre going straight to the universitys president. Donald, nice to see you. Thank you for having me on, greta. You sent a letter to the president of the university saying you want to meet with him. Is he going to meet with you . Im happy to announce about two hours ago we received word from his chief of staff hell have a meeting with us in about two weeks. Will you have a meeting with him before the commencement on the 18th . We hope to have a meeting with him before the commencement, and that appears to be the case. What do you want to say to him . Whats your case . We want him to understand theres a need for tolerance and diversity of thought on our campus. That has not been demonstrated by the protesters when they began damaging university property. Im a big fan of student protest, whether its a topic i agree with or not, because it shows the First Amendment is alive and well. I actually like protests. But what im sort of curious about is why the school accepted the i think they allowed Condoleezza Rice to sort of get pushed out on this. Do you agree . We wish the school could have defended her more over the past few week s rather than just sen out emails. Especially following the protests. They didnt disavow the students for damaging property, and theres no place for that in a College Environment at all. Why did you want secretary rice as your Commencement Speaker . We believe shes an inspirational figure and one of the leading statesman of the last decade and it would have been great to see her at our school. Who actually chooses the Commencement Speaker. Is there any student body input . This year, there was not. Going forward, the president promises more input into the process. Its sort of weird. While we sort of are looking at this, i find out that your university spent 32,000, and it went from University Money to a student group, to snooki to speak, not at commencement, but a speech. 32,000. Was there any outrage or objection to that . That was three years ago when that occurred. There was a lot of conversation that that was very inappropriate. And we still view that as inappropriatessage that she cam campus to bring is that students should study hard but party harder. Yet students did not want to see Condoleezza Rice speak, who would not have a message anything like that at all. So you are going to have a Commencement Speaker, former governor of new jersey, right . Correct. What do you want to hear from him . We hope to hear he addresses the concerns of the last few weeks and we need diversity of thought on our campus. At the same time, we hope he comes, and you know, inspires the graduates to succeed after college. I thought it was so odd, the whole thing is that the university wasnt more forceful, having made the choice to stand behind the former secretary of state. I thought it made your University Look weak, not the student body, but the management. Yeah, we were definitely disappointed in that. In hindsight, they definitely could have stood stronger throughout the process. We should never cave in to a few intolerant liberal faculty members and a few intolerant liberal student. Donald, thank you, and good luck in your career. Thank you. And right now, there is more outrage over benghazi. Congressman Jason Chaffetz on the House OversightCommittee Said watchdog groups getting more access to the obama administrations emails than congress. Representative Jason Chaffetz joins us. Nice to see you. Nice to be here. I have seen one sample, this is an email you got which is basically has nothing in it. And that same email was provided to Judicial Watch. They got one more thing, the name of the person who actually sent this. They got one more thing than you did. Well, who it goes to and who sent it is key to the content of the actual email. Theres no content. Listen, i was glad to hear secretary kerry say he was going to comply with the subpoena, and he was going to be cooperative. Here we are 20 months later and that hasnt happened yet. He may say that and give us lip service. I hope when he comes before the Oversight Committee we make some progress on this, but why is a freedom of information act request gets more access, more information than the United States congress does when a subpoena is issued, and why are they retroactively changing the clasfxz. When you look at the emails, they were originally unclassified, and now theyre secret and we cant look at the content of those . I assume the select mitt coe is going to change things. Is that going to stop the oversight investigation. The Oversight Committee has been pursuing it. Does it give that authority to the committee . All four of the committees, which where think have done great jobs at looking at certain portions of this now have this focused and funneled under congressman gowdy. He picked the perfect person and the right spot to get to the bottom of this. All we ask for is truth and justice. We just want to understand what really happened. Whatever that might be. Do you want to be on this committee . It would be an honor. I poured my heart and soul into this. A lot of people have. Its what i believe the responsibility of congress is to do, to provide the oversight of the executive branch. If were going to have a fully functional government, you have to have the check and balance. I see the redacted emails. I got that. You dont know the content of the emails. Besides the emails, you had a number of hearings and documents. What dont you have . If you is sawish list of things you want as a select committee, what is it in. One of my questions to the white house and the state department is what are they going to do to insure that we have all the information . As trey gowdy says, what percentage of the truth do we want to learn . We have also never in public have you ever heard from somebody on the ground in benghazi testify in the public. Have you spoken to them privately . Some of them, not all of them. Have you learned anything helpful . Theres so much information. Like what . I cant spill a lot of the classified information, but our facility was bombed april 6th, 2012. It was bombed again june 6th, 2012. Five days later, the British Ambassador had an assassination attempt. Every other westerner left benghazi except the United States of america. What does secretary clinton do with that . We went from 30 security personnel to 9. How did that happen . I think we can all agree it wasnt secure. I dont think you dont have four dead people and say its secure. Is there anything post you know, post the deaths that you think theres a coverup, for instance . Were getting different redactions on different emails. I want to look at why did it take the United States military so long to get there . I just dont understand it. You could have driven from provo, utah, to salt lake, gotten on a flight to paris and gotten there faster than our military got there. Isnt anyone else in the world concerned about that . I want the documents declassified and i want to have the transparency, see what people were saying and doing. Anyway, congressman, nice to see you. Thanks. Remember former irs official lois lerner . Shes in hot water. The House Majority is ready to vote on her, and eric cantor to talk about it. And days after his surprise and right now, lois lerner news. Will congress hold the former irs official in contempt . Learner has repeatedly refused to testify about the irs targeting scandal, and on thursday, theyll vote on a contempt resolution. That will have to pass the Justice Department to consider criminally prosecuting lerner. Eric cantor joins us. Nice to see you. Nice to be on. I assume you expect this will pass the house, correct . I do. The facts are the irs has clearly been targeting conservative groups for being conservative, and have delayed and in some cases denied their ability to obtain tax status to go about advocating for their position. You know, this is unacceptable. The irs should not be used as a tool to affect political gain. And were going to be moving to hold lois lerner in contempt. Shes been asked to come forward as a public serviceant, to speak to the american people. We believe shes now denied the right to plead the fifth. Therefore, were moving this contempt resolution and to make sure that justice can be served. All right, now, if i were her lawyer and i saw this coming down the pike, the first think i would think is how do i get to the Justice Department do you know of anything that is being done that way, or will they investigate a resolution of contempt from congress . He ought to take it seriously this resolution. I mean, look at whats been going on within the doj. The person who has been charged with the interviews of lois lerner, we are told through reports, has not even put lois lerner under oath. Now, perhaps one would think that that fallsshirt of trying to get to the bottom of the situation where it seems a neutral instrument like the tax Enforcement Agency is being used to affect political gain. But you know, again, these are the type of things that are very concerning, i think, to most americans. This goes against the grain of who we are, the very trust in our system of justice. This is why the house is moving to pass this resolution. If the attorney general says, tough, im just not doing it, is that the end of it, or do you have any other recourse beyond that . To ask for the appointment of a special prosecutor, to do the kind of things to get the American Public engaged in this issue, i think all of us want to see trust restoersed in our government, trust restored in the process of tax enforcement. Hopefully, i think the administration will see it is really to the detriment of our system if they do not want to be above board or handed on whats going on. You recently got back from asia. What did you do while you were there and why did you go . First of all, you know, were about to embark upon the process of prioritizing taxpayer dollars for expenditure. And one of those big priorities as far as im concerned is National Security. And the region of the asiapacific, the u. S. Has an existential threat, and that is coming from a maniacal dictator in kim jongun in north korea. So we went to the region to talk to our commanders in the field as well as to our allies that are equally worried about this threat and are staying awake at night because of it. Thats one of the missions that were on in that trip. Secondarily let me stop you there and ask you about it. I have been to north korea three times. The people there are convinced every single day, you and i and every other american is training to kill them. Theyre fighting some war that we simply are not. This is a far bigger problem. How do we possibly sort of penetrate that thinking, if they think that saturday night, were not ordering pita, but were out there trying to kill them . Thats part of the message that the chinese tried to deliver to tus as well. They believe that we are the problem in the region. We obviously disagree with that strongly. The instability that kim jongun is creating in that region, the fear, the reactional part of our allies in japan and korea are obviously reacts that we obviously have. Were going to be ready, god forbid, if there is some act by this maniac in north korea that could be devastating. Let me ask you something on a lighter note. President obama saturday night at the white house Correspondents Dinner took a bit of a jab at you. Here it is. While you guys focus on the horse race, im going to do what i do. Im going to be focused on everyday americans. Just yesterday, i read a heart breaking letter. I get letters from folks around the country every day. I get ten that i read. This one got to me. Virginia man has been stuck in the same parttime job for years, no respect from his boss, no chance to get ahead. I really wish eric cantor would stop writing me. You can pick up the phone, eric. Okay, leader cantor, your response, sir . Thats funny. Well, first of all, i was unable to be there to hear it. I was in ann arbor, michigan, at my daughters graduation from the university of michigan there, so i missed that joke. But you know, i would say, greta, i think you know that my phone calls with the president dont always go so well. Maybe i ought to start writing him instead of calling. Well, good luck with that, because i think a lot of letters get sent around washington go unanswered. Maybe just you could try. I suggest you try. Anyway, its always very nice to see you. Im sorry. You know, believe me, my goal was not to make you feel worse. I understand. I just want to explain, it just took me back. Its exactly what happened, greta. He got lost at the border. Theres no longer a sign for the customs. If you miss the exit, youre in mexico. He declared at the border, i dont want to be here. I got lost, i made a wrong turn. I have weapons in my car. It wasnt an option to turn around because he was on mexical soil and the Border Guards were talking to him. Now hes been arrested and in a fourpoint chain restraint, not one, but four. Twotour veteran from afghanistan who is still in the reserves, tied to a bed, four chains for 35 days. All right, weve covered these stories before. Always the good news is that at the end, theyre long and agonizing, is that so far, they have come home. The question is how do you get your son home sooner and faster . Let me ask you this, you spoke to your son yesterday . Yes. How was he . Well, he only has one chain on now. And hes hopeful because i told him about representative hunter and peters and senator bill nelson writing to the state department and the ambassador of mexico. Ive given him all the news that im trying to rally support for him because hes a decorated sergeant from the marine corps and he needs to get out of mexico. He needs his freedom and he needs help with his ptsd that was just diagnosed ten days earlier in san diego. Thats why he was there. He had just arrived in san diego. What is the state department i know what the center is doing, what is the state department doing for you, because we got a Good Relationship with mexico. And you know, this is the kind of case we need to move very quickly through the system. Its not moving at all, greta. The Border Guards havent even been interviewed. Theyre going to be interviewed on may 28th for the first time, 60 days after the event, greta. Theyre not doing anything. Theres no due process. Hes stuck there. Theres only a statement by the Border Guards thats scheduled may 28th, 60 days out. Theres an urgency because he needs to get help back in the states and he needs his freedom restored. Not only just that he needs help back in the United States, but thats insane to hold him all this time without having some process, or these statements made. Its just plain cruel, and to chain him to a cot is unthinkable, and this is going on with one of our allies. Yes, yes, yes. Its tragic. Hes been brutalized. The first place he was at, he had his life was threatened. So he actually escaped from one part of the jail to get into what he called a safer, protected area. So hes been totally brutalized, chained by four points, and all because he missed the exit, and there is no buffer. We tore down our signs, so you literally on the i5 south, you end up in mexico. No point of return. And because he was honest right there, because he had all of his possessions in his truck. He was living in his truck while he was securing housing. He just got there, evaluated march 20th, positive ptsd for the first time. We were so grateful he was getting the help he needed at the v. A. , and now hes a prisoner in mexico. Jill, i hope he gets out soon. I do, too. Having any american, whether hes a soldier or not, in chains in another country, its like, that is deeply disturbing. And i hope our state department is watching, and i hope you get some help fast. Help. Gov petition. The white house has to respond to me. I need those signatures, please.
