That because they get sued for a lot of money if things are wrong, okay . A lot of money and there was a picture and thats the only thing i know. So now they use the two things is the reason he wants. Let me tell you something. We if for no other reason, if people really dislike me and i dont think they do anymore after those four days. If i have those kids who like me how bad can i be . [applause] and they love their daddy. I was a good father. But im, i have smart children and good children and im gettinga lot of trek credit. I think they were the star of the convention, i think they saved us , mike. But no, my children were really, i mean people are saying that, they were the star, the real stars of the convention, every one of them. I was so proud of them, it was such a great thing but to finish, this was an amazing period of time. This was an amazing convention. I just heard the numbers, dan for a second. Then ask of you know. You might have seen him on twitter and facebook. You know what he is . Hes a facebook, twitter junkie. This guy, that was the first time ive seen him look up in seven months, hes always looking down but nobody knows facebook and twitter and that stuff better than dan. Why dont you give us a quick report because i hear the numbers are astronomical. Were dealing in a modern age, i hate to do this a lot of people say whats facebook . Unfortunately were dealing in the modern age. Give them a quote, you want to hear this . We to hear the numbers, go ahead. Thank you president trump. [applause] i have to tell you, hashtag trump training, is everybody out there . The trump training is all here, right . This is surreal for everybody , thats part of the campaign. Twitter last night exploded. Facebook exploded. Instagram exploded. Did everybody see the videos on mister trumps twitter accounts, instagram account, facebook account . Tens of thousands of views, we had over 85 million views. We saw all these videos in a four or five day period, almost half 1 million new followers on facebook, mister trump hit 10 million followers on twitter. [applause] this will never be done again, its impossible to be got done again with this man right here. Its absolutely impossible with his platforms, a total of 22 and half million followers on instagram, twitter and facebook. 22 and a half million. I dont know how you do this every day, this is insane. Impressions on twitter per month, over 1 billion impressions on twitter. And similar, the numbers are going to come out with facebook, theyre going to be probably in the billions. Its absolutely unheard of so when mister trump wants to get a message out and we get those videos out and things are necessarily working out with cnn or somebody we can put it on his platform and get more views just on one of those social media accounts mister trump as witches at real donald trump on twitter, Donald J Trump on facebook, real doubletalk on instagram and our next Vice President of the United States is mikeopentz so please follow him as well. He has a governors account but hes still the governor of indiana so lets try to follow him there, all right . He wants some engagement, were going to be pushing out a lot of messages to the campaign and me and dustin connie, theres a whole team so we love you. This is absolutely awesome to come out and talk to this, hashtag trump training, lets make America Great again. Thank you. So one of my really good choices in life, although i will confirm that in about 3 and a half months from now, but i believe truly it will be one of my truly great decisions is picking mike pence to run along with me and to run with me. So i like to ask governor pence from the great state of indiana and we love indiana and bobby knight who i love and move holds and your wonderful gene from purdue, we have of them all. Weve got a lot of princes out there but these guys are great people and they love mike and maybe mike can say a few words, thank you. [applause] we are so humbled and so grateful. Grateful to all of you, the volunteers, the people wearing the blue shirts, the people that brought about the most exciting Political Convention of my entire lifetime. Thank you for your extraordinarywork. Your tireless hours. To all of those that did the work, that did the setup and are doing the care now now, thank you so much for creating a place where we can celebrate the kind of leadership that america is embracing more and more every hour as we move toward the november election. And i just wanted to express a wordof appreciation to all of you. All of you came here, all of you who came alongside this good man and his family. From early on in this campaign, we are so excited to be a part of this team. My wonderful wife karen pence is with me today and we are eating the campaign trail. Together. [applause] and i can just tell you, having spent time with this man and his family, having seen his ability to connect and speak for the American People , i say with absolute confidence if we work with all of our hearts for every day between now and election day, we will make donald trump the 45th president of the United States of america and we will make America Great again. Thank you and god bless you and lets go get it done. [applause]. [ crowd chanting] trump, trump, trump. One thing i wanted to leave you with, Supreme Court justices. No matter how much you like or dislike, no matter what you feel like, whether youre thegovernor of ohio , whether youre a senator from texas or any of the other people that i be so easily and so badly, you have no choice. Youve got to go for trump. Supreme court justices. If Hillary Clinton gets this, she is going to replace and last night i called him our beloved justice scalia, he was great. [applause] and we are going to get somebody as close to him in his views and philosophy as possible. Conservative. All the things you want. Things we stand for as a party and i promise you and thats why i issued 11 minutes because being an outsider they said we dont know. Suppose you put a liberal judge . Its never been done before. We have a lot of ideas that people dont know we have. Right . I said i have an idea. Because i always have a problem, they didnt know if they believe me, well we dont know, what happens if we elect him and he puts a liberal judge. By the way, how conservative republican president s havent done so well with thejudges, okay . We have obamacare, should have been knocked out twice because of an appointment. [applause] so we will do better, we will do much better and thats why i put out a list of 11 judges but no matter what you think of donald trump, as a republican if thats what your philosophy is, if you are a great believer in the constitution, you have no choice. I hate to say it did whether you are a hater or a lover and by the way last night i dont think there was one hater in that room and that was a packed room. There were no seats and those seats were selling for a lot of money on ebay. They were going for big numbers. I was thinking about taking 10 or 12 tickets and saying lets go. But they were selling for a lot of money and it was amazing so just remember, Supreme Court justices. I want to finish by this. Weve had some incredible support because when i started everyone said some of these pundits, that now say oh, you can do that, these are the same people who say if he runs but you wont run. I ran. And they said oh, then they go but you wont win. Then i started off at six percent which was pretty high because i wasthere for about two days, people forgot because it was only two days, and it went to like 12, then it went 18. They said thats his ceiling and he cant do more than that. Then we go from six, right . I saw them in the audience, those two. We go from six to 12 to 18 and every week they go well, thats their ceiling. Charles krauthammer, they will not run, he will not run and if he runs he will just be doing it for fun. This is not fun. This is a lot of work. This is a lot of work, folks. I didnt need this. This wasnt exactly in the schedule but i saw how badly our country is doing and how easy it will be to bring back trade deals alone, will make an impact like you wont believe. Money will come in, jobs will come in and then you look at the military, we are so depleted but were taking care of other nations and i want to continue to take care of other nations. There are a lot of good things about that but they have to pay us. They have to pay us. [applause] and i remember years ago and ive always said i never quite understood because they said United States spends 10 times the money on its military than anybody else in the world. I said well john, its a big military, thats surprising but i was building buildings, i never gave it too much thought. But then i realized and i remembered, we spent so much more than anybody else i said how can it be . Were protecting everybody in the world. Were protecting all these nations and these are rich nations. Theyre great nations. Japan. They build their cars, they make a fortune and they dont pay us. They want to make a profit. They want cost area heres what it costs. Maybe we cant get it. If we cant, see, you have to be prepared to walk. If youre not prepared to walk, a clinton came out and you heard what i said, japans origination. Those cars are flowing in, their rich because of us if you think about it. Those cars, you go to los angeles and he sees massive ships, it looks like nascar. Thank you brian france, owner of nascar, the endorsed donald trump. I love nascar. Richard petty endorsed me, a lot of the great drivers endorsed me. King richard. But its like these guys driving, richard petty, these massive ships. And they dont pay us. And then a general gets up and the general says mister trump is wrong, doesnt he understand . That japan pays us 50 percent of the cost of defending them, oh great. They say mister trump, could we have comments . I said yes, why are they paying 100 percent. [applause] and germany. And south korea with 28,000 soldiers. And think of this one, saudi arabia. Saudi arabia wouldnt be there for one week if we pulled out. They have nothing but money, nothing. They have so much money they dont know what to do with it. They dont know what to do with it. Whos making our deals for us . One deallike that has a massive impact on our budgets , honor economics as a country, we wrote the 19 trillion, we are very soon going to be 21 trillion. I could take the great harold, tell me what it trillion dollars is although his work almost 1 trillion so he may know. But you know, honestly most people dont even know, its so much. They wouldnt know how to find it. Heres the story. We are going to do something really special and our message caught on. When i started this where all these pundits were saying, i have a little staff. Ari lewandowski was great, i have to tell you. [applause] and hes been very loyal and hes been on cnn and hes really been fighting for me which is very nice and i respect that a lot. Hope, where hope . Hope, here. The legendary hope. Come up here hope, come, come. Shes shy, get her up here. Come on, hope. We have a small but tough team. We had a small, heres hope. Theyre not going to lift you over that barricade. Look at her, shes very shy. Hes a very shy person but shes a great person, she done an amazing job and we had a staff of between george, where is our george . Get off here just stand over here someplace, get up, come on. I get hope up but she cant get through the circuit secret Service People here. And what happens , so we had a small staff and i get criticized for it. They say so and so, i will use this because i wont want to embarrass her, though and so has that many times what trump has and has a bigger staff. I dont get credit. Youre supposed to have smaller staff. But in politics you dont get credit. So anyway, so i want to thank my entire group. We beat it up because we are really now in the final stretch. And Paul Manafort has done an amazing job, hes here someplace, wheres paul . Paul manafort. You made it. Paul manafort has done a fantastic job and all of pauls people and the staff, we really do, we have a great staff of talented people. A great staff and most of them are right here and john and everybody. My man right here and michael, michael, come on michael. Get up here michael. Get a little tv time. I dont know if hes going to be hard for hollywood, i dont doubt it. Come on up, rick. So we have a great group of people. And we have a group of people that really want to win and i think knows how to win and we all sort of been waiting all our lives. This group ofpeople in front of you, so many of you, weve been winning all our lives. We got exactly 3 months and three weeks. I am going to be working so hard. Im not going to like last time where they disappeared for the last month and a half, where is everybody, what happened . Give obama credit, he was on every television show, he was all over the place. Were not going to disappear. We have a great chance of taking our country back. Of change and of getting great Supreme Court justices. So. [applause] i want to thank everybody. I love you folks, this has been such an incredible movement. I love you. I know so many of you. We are going to go all the way and ill tell you what. When we get there we will indeed make America Great again. I love you. Thank you everybody. You. [applause] bill donald trump taking something of a victory lap this morning in cleveland, this on the morning after he officially accepted the republican nomination for the presidency. He and his teammate mike pence are going to be doing a bit of campaigning now but they wanted to get together with volunteers in cleveland and thats what you just saw. International correspondent john roberts is still there in cleveland. And he wraps up the convention for us, john. Reporter john, good morning to you. Donald trump just said a couple of minutes ago one of the best decisions he ever made was to bring mike pence on him as his running mate but one of the worst decisions he might have made was spending 10 minutes of that speech talking about ted cruz and the whole controversy again. Double trump has a tendency to sometimes, a proclivity to step on his own message. People have forgotten about ted cruz and now of course he brings it all back again with photographs, controversy over whether his father was involved with Lee Harvey Oswald in some way prior to the assassination of john f. Kennedy, saying the best cruz has going for him is his wife heidi and his kids, that he has a lot of intellect but he doesnt know how to use it so now mister trump, we dont know if the Cruz Campaign is going to respond to that but certainly donald trump has handed people on new headline other than the one he gave them last night but he did go on to say he enjoyed the convention here in cleveland and he thought it was a real illustration of just how unified, the cruz frigate society, of how unified the Republican Party is. This was probably one of the most peaceful, one of the most beautiful, one of the most love felt conventions in the history of conventions. Reporter . He said there was a lot of unity there. The speech we saw last night really was a launching point to what we are going to see on the campaign, it sounds like a very populist message, one that is sometimes at odds with the Republican Party and the Republican Leadership saying he is going to be the candidate to fight for all people. Heres trump from last night. I am going to bring back our jobs to ohio and pennsylvania and new york and michigan and all of america and i am not going to let Companies Move to other countries, firing their employees along the way without consequence. Reporter weve talked to some delegates from the Convention Early this morning, they say we have been at odds with the Republican Leadership, we appreciate that donald trump is out there fighting for us and they will continue to campaign for him. Hes going back to new york for a couple of days and will be in North Carolina monday and that has fundraisers in florida and we will be there within every step of the way. See one john roberts keeping an eyeon things in cleveland, we appreciated, thank you. Donald trump says even if ted cruz were to offer his endorsement now he would reject it. What about that . Is that smart . We will get into it with our Political Panel coming up. You could just book a different resort. Like in alaska. Theyve got igloos. Its time to discover that in a lexus suv. Theres no such thing as adverse conditions. Come to the lexus golden opportunity sales event this is the pursuit of perfection. This is todd hardy. A fitness buff, youth baseball coachand lung cancer patient. The day i got the diagnosis, i was just shocked. The surgeon in dallas said i needed to have the top left lobe of my lung removed. I wanted to know what my other options were. And i found that at Cancer Treatment centers of america. At ctca, our experts examine a variety of therapies, treatments and technologies to identify a plan specifically for each patient. My doctor understood that who i am was just as important as what cancer i had. We talked about options. My doctor told me about a robotic surgery that was less invasive. We have Excellent Technology that allow us to perform very specialized procedures for patients who have lung disease. At ctca, its all about what you can do. I feel fantastic now. Exploring Treatment Options is at the heart of how we fight cancer. The evolution of cancer care is here. Learn more about our Treatment Options at cancercenter. Com lung. Appointments available now. Jon wall street journal describes him today as the most unconventional Major Party Nominee in generation, donald trump on his way to a campaign for the white house now as the official republican nominee. Where do things stand and where do we go over the next 3 and a half months . Lets talk about it with matthew 780, editor ofthe washington freebie can, caitlin burns, National Political reporter for real clear politics. We heard the speech last night, we heard him thanking the volunteers. At some length area just now, caitlin, talk about the themes donald trump is going to stretch as he tries to win the white house . I want to point out the contrast between what we saw last night and what we are seeing here this morning. Donald trump last night was very much on message, really tapping into the anxiety, frustration, insecurity among the electorate right now. Hes hoping that not only this also animates them in terms of coming out to the polls. Its unclear however whether that has crossover appeal at this point. I expect the polls to tighten because of that, however and because of everything thats going on right now. But then you go to this speech this morning where he is relitigating the primary, its really quite striking. Getting off the messages he was addressing last night and opening up some potentially new controversies. Jon he seems to be relitigating is a good description of it, matthew. He seemed to be reminding everybody of hey, i started out low in the polls and nobody gave me a chance but here i am. Look, im a winner and ted cruz i dont want your endorsement or need your endorsements. Is that wise . Well, its trump and the same could be said for last nights beach as well. Donald trump isnt going to give it to the general election, throughout the Campaign Playbook that both parties in here for decades and hes sticking with that approach so last night you saw on message as caitlin said or more negative version of trump. There were very few jokes, very few admitted area this morning you saw classic trump, in fact the side of trump that appeals to most Republican Voters where these and letting all over the place, hes charming, humorous and of course he spends more time talking about ted cruz and john kasich then he does Hillary Clinton. Jon is that enough to win the white house . I dont know, it has been an improbable ride for him. A lot of people, myself included never thought he would become the republican nominee but here he is right, and that something donald Trump Reminds us every day, practically. He talked about it last night. His surrogates at talk about how he emerged from the most crowded field in republican history to become the nominee and make history again but as you and i know, the primary is very different from the general election. Donald trump is going to expand his face if he wants to participate and keep in states like ohio where i am today, pennsylvania, colorado and florida which have more diverse constituencies. Theres a lot of traditionally, candidates do try as matthew said to pivot to the general and reach a broader audience. Donald trump is making a very different bat. He is an unconventional candidate but he thinks that his strategy and the way things have been going, the way he has been doing things will be that beneficial to him. We will see if that pans out. We will also look to see how mike pence handles this new campaign. They will be out together campaigning on his own as well. Jon he did make mention of some of Hillary Clintons negatives in his speech last night, i want to play that for you now she is far less safe and the world is far less safe than when obama made the decision to put Hillary Clinton in charge of americas foreign policy. Her bad instincts and her bad judgment, something pointed out by Bernie Sanders, are what caused so many of the disasters unfolding today. Jon there was an appeal to sanders supporters in there, is that a waiting line . Is that the kind of thing he can continue to hammer toward the general election . When you look at the polls both trump and clinton have high negative rating. Historically high negative ratings so trumps bet is to somehow make Hillary Clintons negative ratings worse than his own and you see that message come through clearly last night as well as the appeal to the bernie voters, many of whom are motivated by trade. What trump did and that these last night is safe everyone who feels left out of america in 2016, everyone who feels like they had been paid attention to by president obama, by corporations, by wall street, by multinational trade deals, im your guy. Im the voice of the people and that could be helpful in some of the great lakes states like michigan, like ohio, like pennsylvania, like new hampshire, those kind of rust belt states where trump is definitely targeting his message and he has to win if he has any hope of getting into the white house. Jon is going to be a fascinating race and a lot of fun for you to to cover. Thanks for coming in and sharing your message, matthew from the freebie can, thank you. Thank you. Melissa with the finale of the Republican Convention now in the rearview mirror, how did the media cover the events of this week mark we will take a look coming up. Jon you mightve caught this, contributor laura ingram blasting themedia in her speech at the Republican Convention. Watch this. To all my friends up there , you all know why in your hearts donald trump on the republican nomination. You know it. You know why he wanted . Because he dared to call out the phonies, the fraud and the corruption that have gone on exposed and uncovered for too long. [applause] too long. Do your job. Doing your job is a novel concept. Jon lets talk about it with our media panel today, Judith Miller is a pulitzer prizewinning investigator and offer and contributor, lynn sweet s Washington Bureau chief for the chicago suntimes so judy, do you accept lauras challenge . She says the media have not been doing thejob, i think shes referring to uncovering Hillary Clinton. Laura is confusing being a cheerleader for a candidate to being skeptical of a candidate which is what we are supposed to be. When donald trump did his mike check and said i love the media as a joke it was only half funny in that hes notsupposed to love us and were not supposed to love him. Were supposed to be skeptical of both candidates. Were supposed to challenge everything they say and yes, that is not going to make us beloved. Why were we so late getting serious coverage of donald trump and even Hillary Clinton . I think with donald trump the problem is more pronounced and that is didnt see him coming and i said 100 times on this show john with you and lynn, yes, we miss his appeal so the story is about his egregious Business Practices came late. The stories about the fact that he wouldnt release his tax return came late. The stories about him not hiring americans but preferring to hire romanians came late but all those stories are going to be out there and theyre going to be repeated and people are going to have to think about these candidates but yes, laura, i agree with you. We should be doing our job and i intend to do it by remaining skeptical of both candidates and everything they say. Jon you mentioned Donald Trumps moment at the microphone where he said he loves the media. Most of the viewers probably didnt see it because it was intended to be a private walkthrough of the arena before his speech yesterday but he was caught on a hot mike saying this and i want to play reviewers. I love the media. Youre so honest. Youre such honorable people. Its about time i said that. Jon i suppose lynn, he knew that would be captured on audio and video tape and replayed at moments like this. What do you make of it . The walkthroughs at the Convention Center are very public. I was there during some of the walkthroughs so this is not a very private occasion and he said, he mocked the press before. Thats not new. Judy has pointed out correctly that we are just trying to do our jobs and lauren knows that. Laura is trying to be provocative and i get it, thats her thing but i think the mistake that the media writ large made was not recognizing early on the anger, discontent, the frustration with a raid system that Bernie Sanders tapped into and that donald trump tapped into. After that, i think that the media is doing their job. You cover candidates and candidates like donald trump who have powerful abilities to just phone into shows and they do it, well, they have their own ways of communicating also so i think laura was just being herself. She likes to use the press as well, right judy . Thats really a little bit of her thing. Absolutely and its very effective and donald called use of the media has been very effective as weve seen but the issue is can 22 million facebook, instagram and twitter followers substitute for a Campaign Organization . Everything i hear is that hes still very weak on that. We can fundraising, week in field operations, etc. We need to report more on that as well. Jon but its also the case as john roberts was saying, he is where he is. He is the republican nominee, he bested 16 other experienced candidates, many of whom have nationwide recognition and years of political, years in the political headlines and money behind them. Hes done all that just by being trump. Youve got to give him that, lynn. Yes, you give him that and he said a few minutes ago and we heard him in cleveland, he was once again very proud and how he had the operation that he won but why would you want to take the risk of not also having a more Robust Organization when you have to have a National Campaign heres one thing i want to point out. Through this whole convention in cleveland, that Hillary Clinton forces were running commercials. There is not one Trump Commercial that i have seen a preview of yet that is going to be rolled out in this state. If he thinks and his brain trust thinks its a good idea to have no paid advertising, that is a novel approach in campaigning but why would you take the chance . So i would think in the National Campaign you would have it both ways so the reporters in his speech were up in the sky box watching them because they were being asked to write checks read lets not look for consistency here necessarily but the media, free media alone which he depended on in the primary not be enough. Jon viewers might wonder what youre talking about those Campaign Commercials for Hillary Clinton have been running in the swing states like florida, ohio and places like that that are going to be very tight area and a handful of states really that are going to determine who our next president is. Judy, final thoughts . Thats whats so amazing. Can the tactics that have worked so well for donald trump in the primary win him a National Election . Thats one of the Big Questions and also who is donald trump . Is the man is he the man we heard last night or is he the man we saw today was more familiar to us. Humorous, kind of selfdeprecating at times. I dont know who he is, were going to find out tell us about his hardscrabble ratings. Exactly. Jon selfdeprecating, im not sure thats always the word i would use no, but it was this morning. P1 judy miller, lynn sweet, thank you. Go long. Melissa ivanka trump has a reputation as one of her fathers most trusted advisors. She took the stage last night and spoke at length about the reasons her father should be the next president. When my father said that he will build a tower, keep an eye on the skyline. Floor by floor, a soaring structure will appear. When my father says he will make America Great again, he will deliver. Melissa the dcbased radio host, rena shar is a gop strategist, a former senior congressional staffer and a columnist for political forum. Com. Thank you for joining us. So ivanka addressed mister trumps perceived weaknesses, one being his 65 percent disApproval Rating with women. She noted the Trump Organization has more female executives than male, women are paid equally and women become moms. She says they are supported, not shut out. He says as president he will change the labor laws, push for wage equality, child care affordable for all. You think she won over some women . Im not sure if she won over women but what she did do was not compromise her own values while not making her dad mad her. That was what was the best thing about this speech is that it was something very true and i thought authentic to her because she is a democrat, shes publicly supported democrats in the past and this speech if you look at the details, this was a progressive speech and im not really sure that republican women could entirely connect with it. The larger theme yes, maybe who ivanka was, yes but in the details not quite so much p7 she did get up there and say she sometimes vote democrat, sometimes both republican, she vote for the person to think is best for the job regardless of party but we are hearing that criticism today that some of what she said sounded more progressive. What you say . Absolutely, when you listen to it sounded like something that would be more appropriate at the Dnc Convention and i dont think but overall i think the people that have made up their mind about donald trump and the party are going to go in that direction. I think they will probably be more people as a result of the democratic invention that are republican that are going to move toward trump out of fear of democrats but to me when i listen to ivanka i thought to myself thats beautiful. A beautifulspeech but i wonder who shes talking about because it certainly doesnt relate to donald trump in any way shape or form taste on the things that he said. Melissa she also said we should look at his actions and not his words and that she works high up in his organization and knows how he really is and people think they know him but they dont. One of the next accusations that she hit on is what we hear about that hes racist and sexist, lets listen to what he said about that. Theres always been men of all backgrounds and ethnicities on my fathers job sites and long before it was commonplace, you also saw women. [applause] my father values talent. He recognizes real knowledge and skill when he finds it read he is colorblind and genderneutral. He hires the best person for the job, period quest one thing we will have to look for next week is to see how the democrats head because ivanka talked about her father being genderneutral, clearly contradicts the many derogatory remarks people made about highprofile women of many types ranging from his opponent Hillary Clinton to women like megan kelly. Hes made a number of insults that i dont know that women can really forgive him for despite his socalled genderneutral hiring practices. Melissa she mentioned that he hired these great people and emphasized that he listens to them. She says that on every one of his projects that hes talking to the super, the painter, the engineers, the electricians asking for feedback, can something be done differently . Harlan, you think this helps reassure people who are concerned about the gap in his political experience . Will he take advice from good advisors . I dont know. I think people are basically listening to donald trump and ultimately what he is speaks much louder than what he said. I dont think theres anywhere for donald to go with but with his current Approval Rating in the Africanamerican Community but donald trump is a huge figure and i think people are making decisions based on this kind of authoritarian presence that he has and its going to be difficult for him to make a lot of headway outside the people that like him now because what he is is powerful. Like it or not, i may not like it but irecognize that is powerful, where he can go i dont know from here. Melissa thank you both for joining us. Thank you. Jon the dangerous heat is blanketing most of the us right now. Is there any relief in sight . Melissa about extreme weather alerts, heat wave settling across much of the country this weekend putting millions at risk for illness and power outages. This is new york citys times square, already boiling and its only going to get worse. The buildings and crowds absorbing the heat. Meteorologist maria molina is live right now in the Fox Extreme Weather Center with the latest advisories good to see you and hello everyone. We are tracking the heat and its going to be impacting part ofthe eastern us , the planes yet again and even across the southwestern us. You are talking about a large portion of the nation dealing with this excessive heat not only temperature wise but with high dew point, a lot of humidity as well and that raising those heat index values across a big portion of the nation. In phoenix right now it feels like 107 degrees, 94 in new york city and the upper 90s in tulsa oklahoma and its only going to get worse as we continue and get more of that daytime heat. By later today after 4 pm it could feel like 109 degrees, that is dangerous heat. 110 in tulsa and it can feel like 110 as well in a mornings so you have a risk for heat illnesses such as heatstroke, make sure you stay hydrated and stay out of that sunshine during peak Daylight Hours and you see in the afternoon those i temperature at the digits and thats going to continue even to this weekend so on saturday and they not only in the planes but also in the southwestern us and even across parts of the eastern us, in dc a forecast high on sunday of 98 degrees so because of all this we have a number of advisories in effect and also excessive warnings across the plains, eastern us and southwest. Another concern is the threat for thunderstorms. Because we have so much heat and humidity we will see storms tapping into that and they could produce storms across parts of the northeast and further went into the northern plains. That could bring severe weather, large hail and even isolated tornadoes will be a concern. The greatest tornado print is in place across portions of the dakotas, especially through the afternoon and evening hours. Melissa thanks.
