Fence jumper in court. Why did the secret service allow an armed felon in the elerator. It is right for a 20 20 mack over of the secret service. And a man suspected of kidnapping heather graham. And now listeninged to another case. How much does he know and when keys they need to crack open the mystery. It is all happening now. And first we start with our top story. Meeting in the oval office about isis. And criticism of the obamas handling of the crisis. Israeli Prime Minister netanyahu meeting with obama. He is linking isis to iran and hamas. They join us live from the white house. Reporter the two leaders talked about islamic extremism and they have different priorities and that carried over from the speeches in the u. N. General assembly. President obama is under the pressure with the democrats who are wary of u. S. Involvement in iraq. And republicans ask if he understands the threat of isil. I will be brief. Bb, the work we are doing and degrade isil, and the broader agenda that i have discussed in the United Nations which is mobilizings coalition. And United Nations last week, mr. Obama spoke of enlisting muslim nations to go after alqaeda and extremist and stop them from recruiting and crossing international borders. Prime minister netanyahu said to defeat isis and allow iran to have Nuclear Weapons is to lose the war. It is the statute that you worked so hard and leave its a power. I hope that under your leadership that doesnt happen. This is the first meeting since israels summer war in which palestinians and israelis were killed. They must find a way to change the status quo and Israeli Citizens are safe and you dont have the tragedy of school children. Right now ebola is in the United States. The first patient diagnosed here treated in a dallas hospital. The director of Dallas County and Human Services said everyone who came in contact with the patient is carefully monitor and especially family members. The virus can only spread through close contact with bodily fluids. We need to do here, trace everyone in contact carefully and stop it in africa and not only their sakes but ours. Dr. Stephen gardener is a specialist in the new york hospital. This person travelled on a direct flight to dallas and wasnt feeling well and sent home with antibiotics and returned in the ambulance and diagnosed with ebola. What else could have been done so he didnt go out in the population . That makes it scary. The only way you can get it is with somebody who is symptom attic. It is similar to cases in west africa they had no contact with patients with the disease. You are probably getting calls and emails and people are skeptical about the information. If i was on the flight with this guy for hours. He was using the restroom. And air is recirculated and people who had no contact with symptomatic folks and they tested positive for ebola, do you think we are getting the full story. No one is trying to cover it up. But the virus can change and mutate. This virus as it transmits easily and we could be in big trouble. I understand there is a press conference in texas and see if we get anything knew from that as well. The contact tracking is what they are using, going to everyone, those people came in contact with. Is it practical and hopeful we will control it . I believe we will. We have better medical equipment and plans than in africa where sterile techniques are not practiced. It is a much different situation. I think we are so worried about this. 36 people die about the flu. Thats true. So keep things in perspective. It is a tragic situation, 3500 people have died in west africa. But you need a cluster to spread. You will always get an isolated case. At the airport. The guy has a fever. What is the history . The symptoms are not always true. But we need customs people to talk and get an idea. Have you been sick and well be ahead of the game. Cvc said people who scan for fevers and ask questions and if he is not symptomatic at that moment still wind up coming here, we are so globalized. Are you worried about the freedom we travel around the world . I am not worried about case s. But i am living in iowa and got little chance i will get the disease. And we have known about the disease since 1976 and hasnt caused clusters. But at airport customs, they have to know what they are looking for. Fever may not be the answer. And there are plenty of great reasons to move to iowa and now you added to the list. Great to see you. We want to hear from you. In light of the first people diagnosed. Should the u. S. Ban flights from africa or done it already. Go to fox news. Com asking now. And the student protestors in hong kong setting a deadline for the top official to move aside. Protestors say the leader must resign or they will move in and occupy government buildings as the massive protest against beijing are growing. We have more from johnathon. It is just after 1 oclock a. M. In hong kong. Tens of thousands are protesting a blatant and undemocratic power grab. The clock is ticking for the chief executive of hong kong to it step down or face the next stage. The occupation of government buildings and in the root of the protest is a decision by beijing, when the next chief of hong kong is elected only candidates controlled by beijing will be considered. It is with anger and the disappointing people of hong kong people that we cant have our basic human rights and voting for our leaders in hong kong. N beijing leaders have said little. The patience with the movement occupy center may be running out. And an editorial read on the main china broadcast and published in the state run daily newspaper said, occupy central has brought harm to hong kong and misfortunate to the public. If it continues unchecked, the consequences would be unimaginable. The community of hong kong should Work Together to support the government of hong kong and support the hong kong polices decisive Law Enforcement to restore social order in hong kong and soon as possible. And the warning of decisive Law Enforcement action reminds some of 1989, that was just before chinese tanks rolled to tenimin square. That is a chilling. Thank you. I was talking with dr. Gorner and we referenced an ongoing News Conference governor perry talking about the reference of ebola. He said the one case came in contact with school age children. They are not showing signs and symptoms. But they are going to be monitered. This case is serious. Rest assured our system is working as it should. Professionals on every level of the chain of command know what to do to minimize the potential risk to the people of texas and of this country for that matter. I would like to ask dr. David blaky, head of the Health Services to share with you the efforts that are ongoing as we address the issue, david . Good morning, i am david makingy and commissioner of the state department of Health Service and appreciate you being here today. I want to echo the comments that were made by the governor. Our thoughts and prayer ares with the family. They were notified about their loved one having ebola yesterday and it is a scary diagnosis and our thoughts and prayers are with them and with the treatment team, those individuals in the health care that are caring for the individual. Texas has been taking steps to make sure we are prepared. A lot of education has taken place and a lot of protocols are put in place and we test for the virus since august, and we are able to do that in our laboratory. And we are not only taking place in the state level but here in the local level in this hospital. They took it seriously. They are educating their staff and putting their own protocols in place so that were ready to care for an individual, this individual that showed up with ebola. And we have been on the look out for this. I had the opportunity today to spend time with the team. And talk to the Management Team and hear how they are preparing for a long time for this event. And i had the opportunity to talk to the infectious control practitioners and go on the ward and see firsthand the work they are doing. And they are doing a great job. They are providing compassionate care. They have a committed staff that are providing top notch care and they are doing it in a safe environment. They have a whole ward that is dedicated to the individual. And a whole team of again, professionals that are competent caring for this individual and doing it as i noted in a safe compassionate environment providing excellent care. And honestly this disease is scary, the large number of individuals and some of the points that dr. Freidden e emphasized needs to be stated. And i want to reiterate. People cannot transmit the disease until they have symptoms and individuals who dont have symptoms are not going to transmit the disease. And the chance is 0. This virus is not transmitted bee the air. It is not transmitted by the water. It is transmitted with direct contact with an individual and with their skin or blood or secretion or bodily fluids. And if there is a contaminated needle. It is not transmitted through the air or casual contact with other individuals. And i want to make the case that you know, this is not west africa this is a sophisticated city and hospital. And the dynamics are so different than they are in west africa that the chances of it spreading is very small our laboratory is developing the ability to do the test. And do it in the laboratory and that is available for the state of texas. We do a rapid diagnostic test. The controls worked as appropriately working. And make sure our laboratory folks are safe and it was done in a safe manner. And a lot of work and investigation is attacking place and the family was identified and contact was made and messages have been conveyed to them about how we need to approach the situation and we will continue to work very closely with the federal partners in the cvc governments and mayor and judge thank you for being here today. And with the full support of the state of texas to make sure we protect this is all hands on deck. We understand that and we have great local partners. And everyone has marching orders and understand the importance of that collaboration. And in the cvc. Well open it up to those of you in the media and questions in the individuals on the podium here can respond. We are categorizeizing his condition as serious but stable. inaudible a check list was in place for ebola in this hospital for several weeks and dr. Ed goodman to my right led the implementation of that. That check list wasute likewised by the nurse who asked that question. That nurse was part of a care team and it was a complex care team taking care of him in the emergency department. That information was not fully communicated with the full team and the full import of that information was not factored in the clinical decision making. The over all clinical presentation was not typical at that time yet for ebola and so as the team assessed him, they felt clinical it was a low grade common viral disease. That was the presentation. inaudible . He volunteered that he had travelled from africa in response to the nurse operating the check list and asking that question. inaudible i cant answer that question, because that is one piece of information that would be factored in the entire clinical picture. The clinicians did not factor it in and it was not part of the decision making. inaudible inaudible that is a question that is really not in my domain. inaudible we are carefully assessing that now and that is being investigated so we are investigating it. I cant give you specific information. We will look carefully at that. inaudible i would call that, not factoring in all of the information among the team that was present, so that all of the information wasnt present as they made clinical decision. inaudible that information was not obtained when the patient was in the emergency room. And you have been listening in a press conference out of texas and you can hear the question about the ebola patient and why he was turned away when he first went in to symptoms and was not diagnosed until days later. Well have more after this break. How much money do you have in your pocket right now . I have 40, 21. Could something that small make an impact on something as big as your retirement . I dont think so. Well if you start putting that towards your retirement every week and let it grow over time, for twenty to thirty years, that retirement challenge might not seem so big after all. That will play out in the senate and house. Larry, you are the biggest braniac and you are like carniac and you know everything that is happening and what do you see that the senate will turn republican . My guest is that the republicans will win the majority. And that is the probability all a long. There is grat gradual movement for the senate and arkansas. And iowa. And which we are now leaning to the republicans and colorado which is still close. The fly in the ointment is kansas. Why did you just pick iowa leaning republican . Well, i have a lot of respect for the Des Moines Register poll. I dont have a lot of respect for many. But des moines has a excellent traffic record. And that is a primary reason. They have an excellent track record in iowa. And iowa is a swing state. It is the year of the great revolt in kansas. You saw that in the primary when the incumbent was notably to get over the 50 percent mark. And now, the democrats got the candidate it withdraw. It is a oneonone race. And that is norman versus roberts is a close contest. And the republicans have a rescue team in kansas and it is deep lered. You think they will pick up six if not more . We are five weeks out. And they may afford to lose kansas if that happened. They might be able to afford kansas and still pick up the ones they need. House talked about getting in the magic 245 you think they wish for that number and what do you see happening there . 11 would give them 245. And that would be the best since harry trumman is president. We have measuring rods and sticks for poll tigs and does it matter . They are likely to gain seats. Thank you so much. And under a month to deputy and well follow it close. Thank you, eric. And a man accused of running in the white house with a knife. Well have the latest on the case. And a search for a College Student taking a dramatic turn. He could be linked to a killing of another coed in the state. Is the list of possible murder cases going to continue to grow . Ugh. Heartburn. Did someone say burn . Try alka seltzer reliefchews. They work just as fast and are proven to taste better than tums smoothies assorted fruit. Mmm. Amazing. Yeah, i get that a lot. Alka seltzer heartburn reliefchews. Enjoy the relief. Praising his agency by president obama. And circulating this memo and making a point to highlight the efforts and to track and cause attention to threats by isis. This after president obama called out clapper and his team for dropping the ball. I think our head of the intelience community acknowledged they underestimated what was taking place in sir y. He didnt say, just say that we underestimated isil. We overestimated the ability and will of our allies, the iraqi army to fight. You called the group by its name and outlined the problem that is there and the president was getting more intelligence than what you were able to access. Thank you for mentioning it and having me on. This is a simple issue. People writing about middle east politics and i was not the only one was raising the concern about Islamic State of iraq and taking advantage of malikis secitarium. We had open source intelience and the news and reporting. And the president has access to highest level and the multibillion intelligence aprattic and he couldnt come to the conclusion . It is it absurd that he said it was a failing on the intelligence and not his own party. Ed henry asked if they would be declassified so people could see what he was getting so is it fair . Dow think that the briefings will be declassified and how helpful would it be . The briefings and president ial daily brief, it is based on high level sources and human intelligence sources that are finely protected. And it may get release if there is pressure to. That and the political pressure grows, it is something that the white house will consider as Bush Administration did with 9 11. It would be inevitable they would be redakted because of the sources and methods involved. Our Intelligence Community is working around the year. And these folks many times risking their lives and you join others that are concerned that we may not have enough intelligence personnel on the ground and trying to make the rest of the operation ultimately effective. That is a big issue. It is easy for me to say in the chair. But they would be deployed in syria in dangerous circumstances. And the problem is, the concern about putting people in risky situations we are hampering our ability to get the human intelligence we need to penetrate and break down from inside the Islamic State. And we have time left. There are concerns about baghdad and attacks coalescing by isis and around baghdad. The pentagon dont have Immediate Court reporters that baghdad is going to fall. How critical is it at that juncture . It is a big issue. You consider the fact that the is state controls fallujah, the people will know well, the concern is that they can push in baghdad and as they have been doing in 2013, massive car bombing campaigns and destabilize. It is it important that the United States is able to restrain that response. And that will involve intelligence issues and at the same time prevent the iraq from falling further in the arms of iran. Interesting, and thank you for making time for us. Thank you, shannon. Protestors in hong kong threatening to take over government buildings tomorrow if the chinese backed leader doesnt quit. And for six days, the streets are filled with tens of thousands of citizens demanding that beijing back counsel. And what do they mean for us and what could come next. Author of the coming collapse of china. Today is National China day. And they are protesting against what communism brought them. Nclearly people in beijing understand these. They started out small where the government offices are and spread throughout hong kong and now in the New Territories and up to the doorstep of china itself. Last wednesday, we saw a protest in shanghai where they asked democracy for the people in hong kong but for themselves. And people in beijing have to understand that democracy can affect them. How do they react if the students take over the buildings tomorrow if the publics Republic Army is on the doorstep and what do they do about the other citizens that are demanding freedom . We saw an editorial that talked about unimaginable consequences and we have to refer back to monday when state media talked about sending in the state police over the border in the hong kong. Hong kong authorities have generally left the area. Police with drou and clearly the Hong Kong Government is on the heels and the students are in charge and beijing is nervous. And well keep an eye on all of that. Thank you for joining us. Thank you, shannon. Eric we have an alert. The dow is down 245 points at this point. And that is biassed on newly released Economic Data and construction back in august. And well keep an eye on it. And toxic gas from a volatile volcano. Rescue workers recovered 12 more bodies in japan by the volcano. The search is resuming despite the toxic gases and fears of another blast. They are not sure about the unaccounted hikers. But estimated that there were hundreds in the area. They are bringing the dead down the mountain and thousand troop ands firefighters are there. Relatives are waiting in a nearby hall for news. There is a link between antibiotic and obeseitty. Children who take more antibiotic by age two are likely to be oboes by age five. All right. Doctor, the study is interesting. Your kids get sec and this is the first thing they do ask for you wait two hours in the waiting room and they charge 2,000. And they dont give anything. And the parents are not happy. A mocks sillen. And studies show for sore throats and earaches and v1 sinuses. Antibiotics are doing nothing. We have healthy bacteria, but if you are taking antibiotic. Nbacteria help keep down theical rows and control the metabolism. And a mocks ti sillin. You kill the healthy. And you alter that connection and that leads to a change in the way you absorb theical rows. The percentage of kids under two who get antibiotic. 70 percent had two doses of antibiotics. And parents should be proud to keep them from getting antibiotics. They dont fight viruss. So think twice about it and dont pressure the doctor. Look, you can have antibiotics and they increase weight 40 percent. What . Well not do the experiment on kids. And these kids are oboes and that will be an oboes adult. And you have antibiotic description. That would persuade a parent. And you know how tough it is. 1 or 2, and 3. And the parents are like i will have house full of sick people. And give me antibiotics. And you get a z pack. Can i get it. It does nothing. They are caused by viruss. Keep them off and listen to your doctor, but try to avoid. When the doctor gives you a prescription, why are you giving it to me . Ear infections dont need to be treated with antibiotics. If we are getting in a season of winter and snivels. And most of these are caused by viruss. It does nothing for the ebola virus. There is nothing. And i would argue with the doctor why am i getting antibiotics and can the child not get it and still get better. What is the deal with the virus . It needs to run its course. Run the course and you are going to the doctor and sit there and you have it already. And you think it may be better. It didnt make you better. You would have gotten better anyway. And these himmings. If it last more than eight days, call your doctor at that point. But a week you are better. And your body is blessed to foot off the urge of antibiotics. I dont have a good reaction. And for me that is dismren. And you gave us good advice. Ndemand no antibiotics. You heard from the doctor. Ninvestigators in virginia are trying to figure out if this man could be connected to a third missing persons case. A woman who vanished in 2009. Could he be a serial killer . We know were not the center of your life, but well do our best to help you connect to what is. Trying to mislead you about the effects of proposition 46. Well heres the truth 46 will save lives. It will save money too. Im bob pack, and im fighting for prop 46 because i lost my two children to preventable medical errors and i dont want anyone else to lose theirs. The three provisions in 46 will reduce medical errors and protect patients. Save money and save lives. Yes on 46. As the search for Hannah Graham continues, investigators are trying to figure out if the man suspected of abducting her is linked to yet another unsolved case involving cass anneda morton whose body was found in 2009 on the mountain in virginia. Now Authorities Say they are studying other unsolved homicide and missing person cases in the state. Joining me now to talk about it, keith rogers, retired lieutenant detective for the new Jersey Police department. Great to have you in. Youve talked about this case before. There were questions you raised then. Kudos to fox. Of course, we dont know yet if thats the case. Theyve linked dna to one case. Now theyre going to have to open up all these cases in that area. It looks like it may be pointing in that direction. Every case will be reopened. Every individual who was interviewed will be intud. If theres any bits of evidence from hair fibers to maybe dna and other areas, all that is going to be looked at, reexamined, and then theyre going to Start Connecting the dots. Police have said theres a forensic connection between this case and morgan harrington, a young woman who went missing in 2009. Theyve previously said the 2009 cause was connected to a 25z case where they did survive the attack and was able to help police with some type of sketch. Would it make sense that somebody would be so prolific if there is a connection . If this suspect is connected to all of them that it would carry on for such a long period of time without him being caught . The mystery to me was the long period of time. Were talking a year here, a year there. Thats the challenge for police. Serial killers work shrewdly. He could have commit these acts over a period of a long period of time. Thats the challenge for police to connect though dots. We know there are allegations regarding him back to, i believe, 2002 where he was accused of rape. It sounds like this could be pretty farreaching. Sure. Not only in that state, but youre going to see police in states surrounding that state look at their cases. Every homicide case involving the characteristics of this case, what im talking about is the they were all females. A certain age group, certain time they were reported missing. You might even have as broad as nationwide. Dwoent know where this fellow travelled if, in fact, i wont emphasize that thats the case. He is a suspect in one case. Police say a potential link to another murder case as well. We dont know at this point. Would it surprise you if he is ultimately responsible for multiple cases if he actually confessed and came to some sort of deal with prosecutors or does someone like this we wont say him, but somebody who is a proven serial killer, are they somebody who will always remain in denial, or are they occasionally the kind who would say ill tell you where these bodies are, lets make a deal . Eventually theyre going to do that. Theyre going to make the deal because they know theyre caught and theyre going to go away for a long time. What surprises me is his background. Theres really no known criminal history, no known trouble. He seemed to have a good job and was someone in the community that there were no questions about. Usually you would get people saying,a, the behavior is something not right. Theres just something wrong with their behavior. This case, floz evidence of that. Its going to be really interesting. It will be. Steve, good to see you. Thanks so much. Eric. Shannon, over a fence, through the yard, and right zip into the front door, and youre 80 feet inside the white house.
