Brennan meets with reid and the gang of eight briefings on august 25th. Two days later, he writes the letter. Two days after that, on august 29th, its leaked to the new york times. If thats why i suggested to drop the Plea Agreement and invite Robert Mueller to show the evidence against him. Only recently he filed a motion to suppress the evidence against george. And i know obviously this is now throwing your entire family into chaos and it seems like anybody associated with trumo, this is what they do and they dont seem to care. husbands. Heres my next and last question, will your husband withdraw his plea with Robert Mueller . We are discussing now the possibility and the technicalities behind this possibility with lawyers. Many of them, two of them in particular, highly qualified, have suggested there is a case. This Plea Agreement is even difficult to uphold in the context of a trial by the judge. I think originally the original plan of the Trump Defense team was to cooperate in the hope that the investigation would quickly end. That hope has been dashed, but going back to rudy giuliani, i have an article today in which i say when the truth isnt the truth, making exactly the same point that andy made, a pointe that ive been making now for three months, that in order to fall into a perjury trap, all you need is one witness who contradicts one statement that the person says to the prosecutor. That witness can be somebody who is singing, composing, who has flipped, who has a deal, whos been told either you are going to die in prison or you are going to tell us what we want to hear and any Defense Lawyer who would ever walk a client into a perjury trap under those circumstances has to have hiss license reconsidered. Sean let me ask you a question i was asking gregg earlier, and that is this. Would Paul Manafort be prosecuted now, but for all this, nothing to do with russia, no collusion. That this is selective prosecution, or what you call the criminalization of political differences . You dont have to ask me that question, ask judge ellis, who is presiding over the manafort case. He has stated publicly that the Special Counsel is not
interested in manaforts alleged crimes. They are only interested in squeezing him in order to get him to flip and to either sing or compose. Those are words used by judge ellis against the president.
