Of the ceasefire at 8 00 a. M. Hamas launched an attack on an israeli unit that was working to destroy, to dismantle, some of these crossborder underground tunnels. Now, during that attack at least two Israeli Soldiers were killed. Another one captured by hamas. The Israeli Ministry of defense saying it was Second Lieutenant hadar goldin. He has been taken by hamas, according to the israelis. Although hamas political wing has denied it. And theres no word tonight yet from the military wing, although a hamas leader in gaza in cairo rather, has sort of essentially admitted to taking this Second Lieutenant. Now, the Israeli Military saying they will do everything they can to get him back, to recover him. What that means exactly isnt clear. It may mean from what were hearing right now a massive push into the southern part of gaza where he reportedly went missing earlier today. We are hearing of an expanded military operation in Southern Gaza right now. Now, both the u. S. And the u. N. Have condemned hamas for this attack and for breaking the ceasefire. Secretary of state john kerry saying that it was a unilateral and grossly gross violation of this ceasefire. President obama weighing in today calling on hamas to release this missing soldier, to get back to negotiating. But from what weve seen now the Israeli Militarys pushing into gaza, escalating the fighting here. At least 16 palestinians have been killed today in addition to the more than 1,400 that have been killed in the last four weeks. The bigger question, monica, is what happens next. Israel is going to have to make a decision do they go allout to try to rescue this soldier or negotiate with hamas to offer some type of ceasefire to get his release. Theyve done that in the past with negotiations with hamas, but it comes at a very high price. More than 1,000 palestinians, many of them hamas fighters who have blood on their hands, were forced to be released in the last negotiations with hamas. Thats something most israelis dont want to see again. But to do this military operation to try to rescue him, that may be even more bloody and costly in terms of the violence that were going to see here, monica. Conor, thank you. Meanwhile, president obama delivered a surprise statement from the White House Briefing room earlier today. And two questions on a wide range of topics including the shortlived israelihamas ceasefire. Wendell goler is standing by with details. Hi, monica. The president said it will be tough to put back the ceasefire between israel and hamas, but the u. S. Will keep working toward it and called on people to stop criticizing secretary of state john kerry for his efforts. He said the israelis have a right to defend themselves but innocent civilians in the cross fire have to weigh on our conscious. He also touched on the border crisis saying unaccompanied children have to be cared for. And since congress hasnt been able to pass money for it, hell issue another of the executive orders that republicans have criticized him for. Im going to have to act alone because we dont have enough resources. Weve already been very clear, weve run out of money. The president also defended cia chief john brennan, some of whose workers snooped on Senate Staffers. And he said a soontobe released report will show the u. S. Tortured some people after 9 11, but said we shouldnt be sankt moan yous about it. Wendell, thank you so much. Another disturbing report from our southern border. A Detention Center holding 600 illegals in mexico is placed in quarantine because of an outbreak of chickenpox and t. B. Foxs own william la juenes is standing by with the details. This is a former Border Patrol Training Center in artija, new mexico. It is on lockdown, quarantine indefinitely after 89 tested positive for tuberculosis and outbreak of chickenpox. This is not supposed to happen. When immigrants are arrested, theyre medically screened before leaving the border to detention facilities around the country. Problem is chickenpox incubates two to three weeks before showing symptoms allowing others to become infected. Around horts and pets all have to be quarantined, blood tested and quarantined before they can cross borders. Why are we having 300 and more illegal Border Crossers unscreened, untested and disbursed into the public as fairly quickly as possible . Thousands of those immigrants are now joining families across the u. S. Worrying some about the cost, others about their childrens health. So a week ago fox news asked the administration for hard information. How many immigrants have been quarantined, tested positive for contagious disease or hospitalized for pneumonia, pregnancy or another illness . It provided zero information. Yesterday, however, an inspector generals audit did find officials exposed to some and in some cases contracting t. B. , scabies, lice and chickenpox, and immigrants unfamiliar with bathrooms resulted in unsanitary conditions and human waste in some locations. Now, the administration complains about misinformation and fear mongering but refuses to provide the statistics that would allow taxpayers to judge for themselves if the risk posed to the Public Health is blown out of proportion or real. Monica. Looks like quite the Public Health crisis developing possibly. William, thank you so much. Here now with reaction to all of tonights breaking news is former Deputy Assistant secretary of state liz cheney. Great to be with you. Thanks for having me on. I want to start first by getting your reaction to something the president said earlier today in a presser. He was talking about the enhanced interrogation techniques used by the Bushcheney Administration after 9 11. Even before i came into office i was i was very clear that in the immediate aftermath of 9 11 we did some things that were wrong. We did a whole lot of things that were right. But we tortured some folks. We did some things that were contrary to our values. He used the word torture there, liz, your response . You know, monica, this president is an utter disgrace. You know, hes got a situation where as your last two reports showed youve got crises erupting around the world, and he is expending more time, more energy, more passion, more aggressive activity in targeting and going after patriots, heroes, cia officers and others who kept us safe after 9 11 chlgt hes lying about what they did. Hes slandering them. He went to cairo and did it in 2009. Today he did it from the podium of the oval office. Its a disgrace. Its despicable. Do you think that he is invoking what the Bushcheney Administration did after 9 11 . Because his plate is now full of cascading scandals and International Crises in large part a direct result of his immediate weakness as commander in chief so hes going back to try and cite battles from the early 2000s . Absolutely. He would like to change the subject. But the press conference should be watched in its entirety. It was an amazing and stunning display of a president , a leader, a commander in chief who seems to take no responsibility whatsoever for anything thats happened on his watch. And i do just want to say his comment about the enhanced Interrogation Program were focused on this report that is now apparently going to be released at some point, a democraticwritten report from the Senate Intelligence committee. And its very important for people to know that the way that report was done was essentially a star chamber. The people who were involved in the program were not interviewed. The report that was written to prove a point. And its a report thats going to slander people. The people involved, the cia officials who in part of the program, kathryn her ij reported earlier tonight were not even allowed to read the report and were not interviewed about the program. So its a disgrace. The president of the United States is now leading the nation at a moment when the threat from terror is growing across the world when hes done absolutely nothing about it. And frankly seems not to understand that hes responsible. That he is leading the United States, that the United States needs to lead the world and yet he just sort of sits back and, i think his tag line today from the press conference was, hey, we try. We try. Well, that isnt good enough when the United States is under the threat that were facing. Yes. Its really pathetic. Liz, i also want to get your reaction to something that dovetails with what were talking about. The senate was taking a look at the enhanced interrogation techniques and now we learned that the cia hacked into Senate Computers and was actually spying on the u. S. Senate as they were going through all of this. This to me is an outrageous abuse of power and yet right now we only have two democrats on record, udall and heinrich, but theyre asking for the resignation of the cia director john brennan. The cia has been spying on u. S. Americans here at home and yet we get crickets. You ought to know better than anybody if this was going down during the bushcheney years, they would have impeachment proceedings underway already. If any of the multitude of things that this president has been responsible for in large part completely trampling on the Constitutional Rights of americans. And when i think about the trampling hes done on our constitution, it has to do with using the irs to target political enemies. You saw that the cia director, brennan, took responsibility, apologized. We dont know the full extent of exactly what happened there. But again is that enough . Is that enough to have the cia director just say, whoops, our bad, we spied on american citizens, we spied on the u. S. Senate, sorry. No, monica, you know weve got to go back and look at the statute. The kind of review that went on as i understand it could have been authorized by the director of national intelligence. We just dont know the details of exactly what was going on. We do know though that this was happening at a time when classified material, classified information had gotten into the hands of Senate Staffers and they werent supposed to have it. And we also know it was happening at a time when the democraticallyled staff was writing a report that is very focused on slandering the officials who kept us safe. So part of a much, much larger picture. I think weve got to be careful about exactly what happened and condemning brennan on that particular point until we have all the facts and we know exactly whats happened there. I agree with you, liz. The way it looks now either the cia director blatantly lied or oblivious for the lawlessness going on under his watch. Great to see you. Thank you. Thank you. Coming up, the former head of the cias bin laden unit says president clinton lied about his reasoning for not killing Osama Bin Laden when he had the chance. Hell be right here when we come back. Stay with us. This the year you spend more quality time with your. Dog. And this is the best time for big savings at Bass Pro Shops fall hunting classic. This weekend save up to an extra 100 on a new bow when you trade one in. Plus free hunting seminars. Welcome back to hannity. Last night sean reported on newly surfaced audio of former president bill clinton saying on september 10th, 2001, that he once had a window of opportunity to kill Osama Bin Laden but decided against it. If i was Osama Bin Laden hes a very smart guy. I spent a lot of time thinking about him. And i nearly got him once. I nearly got him. And i could have gotten i could have killed him, but i would have had to destroy a little town called kandahar in afghanistan with 300 innocent women ask children and then i would have been no better than him. And so i didnt do it. Joining me now to react to this shocking audio is the former head of the cias Osama Bin Laden unit. Michael, you are now on the record after hearing those comments from bill clinton just hours before the 9 11 attack calling him a monumental liar. Its not the first time that description has been applied to president clinton. Tell us how hes lying about this. Well, he not only could have killed bin laden, but he had a year in which he could have killed him at his leisure, monica. He had at least ten opportunities, four of which i would say would have been almost completely clean of any Collateral Damage of civilian killings. And he chose on each occasion not to do it. I have no reason why except he seems tor more concerned with what the world thinks of him than what American People think of him because he refused to defend them. Michael, when you said that he had multiple opportunities, at least ten, times when he had Osama Bin Laden in his sight, his defense is, look, the intelligence just wasnt solid enough. We couldnt really act with any great degree of certainty here. Do you believe that . I dont think so, maam. We constantly told the director of central intelligence, mr. Tenant, that the intelligence was not going to get much better because this is a target thats not a nation state. In addition to that its just a question for me that comes to my mind anyway what is the president s job if its not to protect america . At the time mr. Clintons talking about his lieutenants were going around to the congress and the media saying we were afraid that Osama Bin Laden was about to acquire a Nuclear Weapon or a weapon of mass destruction. How much good intel how perfect does the intelligence have to be to try to defend americans from that kind of threat . Michael, Osama Bin Laden had declared war on the United States in 1996, right in the middle of clintons presidency. Do you think that bill clinton did not take that declaration seriously . I think much of the Intelligence Community didnt take it seriously. And frankly, one guy declaring war on the United States is an unusual situation. But after he bombed two embassies in africa, clearly the war was on. And everything that has flown has flowed after clintons refusal to kill Osama Bin Laden when he had the chance has been disastrous for the United States. And now we have an enemy thats much bigger than it was in 2001. Im sorry, but i think the matter of civilian casualties among enemy in an enemy country is irrelevant when it comes to the president s job of protecting the United States. And he uses that as a crutch all the time. As does mr. Obama. Do you think hes a coward . I think hes a moral coward, yes. I think his behavior is evidence of a mor wall cowardess or just the simple pleasure in being the toast of the town. The toast of the world. Now weve seen both clintons, mrs. Clinton in benghazi, mr. Clinton with Osama Bin Laden, both of them preferring to make sure their policies look good and they look good today world rather than protecting americans. I think the one message americans should get is that clintons really dont care about protecting americans. Well, i appreciate your time and your service to the country, michael. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you. Thank you, maam. Joining me now with more reaction is someone who was a very close advisor to former president clinton for many years, Fox News Contributor and my friend. Hello. You heard michael there. I did. And you heard my question whether or not president clinton took Osama Bin Ladens declaration of war in 1996, did he take those seriously . Yes, of course he did. He was concern, maybe wrongly, about Collateral Damage. He was concerned about the intelligence. And he was also concerned about relations between india and pakistan and the wrong perception being drawn from a missile attack. So those were his concerns. I remember discussing them with him and with thenNational Security advisor sandy burger. He may have been wrong. And with the passage of time you might draw a different conclusion. But i think Michael Sheuer vastly understates the case. It was the commander in chiefs call, but was there anybody else around bill clinton arguing the opposite position that he should just try to take him out . You know, i didnt hear those conversations. I would say having spoken as i said sandy burger, he was very concerned about the reaction of seemingly adversarial arab states, to Collateral Damage concerned about the quality of the intelligence and concerned about whether we would just miss i dont think there was ever a sense that there were four times we absolutely could have gotten him clean. What do you think this does to bill clintons legacy . I dont think it does much, monica. I think that Everybody Knows that bill clinton is and was a patriot. And to say that hes a moral coward i think is vastly, vastly overstating. Wouldnt you agree that it does have the tone of political expediency. That he put a political calculation over National Security and making these repeated calls not to attack bin laden . I would put it a different way. I would say there was a balancing test he used. Certainty of success versus the risk to our position globally from failure. He made a judgment whether it was right or wrong history will tell. Quickly, what does this do if anything to Hillary Clintons 2016 president ial prospects . I dont think it does anything to Hillary Clinton. Doesnt call into judgment sort of the clintonian judgment . I think her questions will have to do with her service as secretary of state and benghazi. There are probably still questions to answer. Doug, great to see you. Thanks so much for being here. Weve heard president clinton in his own words say he had the chance to kill Osama Bin Laden prior to the september 11th attacks but he chose not to. So now were left wondering if clinton had recognized the al qaeda threats posed to america and had taken out bin laden, how many lives could have been saved. Joining me now with reaction is debra burlingame, her brother was pilot of flight 77 crashed into the pentagon on 9 11. And also joining us fdny deputy chief jim riches, his son also killed on september 11th. Welcome to both of you. Great to have you here. Both of you just heard bill clinton in his own voice hours before your son, jim, was murdered by al qaeda, and, debra, before your brother was murdered in cold blood by al qaeda. Im going to get your reaction to clintons word. Debra first. Well, i happen to agree with michael. I think the moral vanity is fairly dripping from his voice. And remember those words were spoken just hours before the attacks took place. I heard those words where hes talking about 300 innocent women and children and i thought of the 3,000, ten times that amount, innocent women and children, five children on my brothers plane, that were killed a few hours later. And lets be really clear, monica, it wasnt just socalled innocent women and children he claims to be worried about. He pulled the operational plans to take out bin laden because you had a Hunting Party consistenting of the royal family from the united arab emirates, a saudi prince was there at the location were talking about hunting and he was a friend of bin laden, bin laden would sometimes join him to do his hunting and falconry. These are some of the same entities that are now donating millions, millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation where hilla hillary, chelsea and bill clinton now devote all of their time and effort. Jim, you heard michael earlier on the show talk about the fact there were multiple opportunities for bill clinton. He had Osama Bin Laden in his sights at least ten times and failed to pull the trigger. You lost your son on 9 11. To you is that an unforgivable offense . Of course it is. I think he was a disgraceful president. He was horrible in everything he did. If you look at 9 11 commission, they had numerous times they could have got bin laden. He didnt do it. I was down there picking up the bodies and body parts of 1,000 people, never recovered anything. My sons body and all of them crushed to pieces. Theyre hurt, families had to suffer and hear this today that he said i could have killed him. 200 people were killed in u. S. Embassies in africa by bin laden before this. And he didnt pull the trigger. He had no guts. He was a moral coward and a coward for not pulling the trigger until, like she said, they were surrounded with other terrorists in that town. And its Collateral Damage. My fatherinlaw was a captain in world war ii. And he said when they attacked germany, people were thrown and shooting out of buildings, they shot the building down, no questions asked. Thats what should have happened here. It does seem according to michael that the evidence, the intelligence, was pretty solid each time they had him in his sights and wouldnt pull the trigger because of Collateral Damage. Looks like he was more concerned about that Collateral Damage than the thousands of lives that were at risk and that we lost on 9 11. If you look on 9 11, they were dancing in the streets in saudi arabia, all through the middle east. Thats when they should have dropped the bomb. We should have went after them all there. Thats wrong for what they did. And i think he was wrong. He should haved pulled the trigger and he didnt have the guts. And they have all these prisoners in guantanamo now. Dont leave people behind, thats ridiculous. Weve seen part of the trades like the bergdahl trade with the taliban. Debra, let me ask you a bigger question here, what does this say about our tendency in the west wishful thinking. Even though the enemy tells us exactly who they are, what they believe and exactly what they intend to do whether its bill clinton or so many others in the 20th century and 21st century, we dont listen. We dont take those threats seriously enough until the threat is right on top of us. Well, i think, again, it goes to the moral vanity. Were willing to sacrifice our own children and grandchildren to prove what good people we are. And going back to this idea that you had innocent women and children, were seeing the same kind of argument going on now with israel targeting hamas where innocents are killed. Id like to remind people that when bill clinton in that tape referred to it as a little town called kandahar, first of all, its the second biggest city in afghanistan. Thats not what were talking about. Were talking about his terrorist camp, which was a terrorist Training Center miles from kandahar. It was a military compound where thousands of terrorists trained. You couldnt get within sight of that place it was so secure. And all the women there would have been jihadis as well. Remember when our guys went after bin laden at abbottabad, it was his three wives that attacked the navy s. E. A. L. S. First. They had to be taken down. I think its utterly moral vanity. And jimmys right. In world war ii, a lot of innocent people died at nor man di, a lot of french civilians died. But as Northern Alliance general who was so disappointed after a twoyear rehearsal of taking down bin laden, are there no men left in washington . Are there no men left . He wasnt just fighting didnt become a legend in afghanistan just because he was fighting for afghanistan. He was fighting for the free world. And he knew it. And thats the kind of large big thinking that we dont have in our leadership today. Yes. Youre absolutely right about that. Debra, jim, we have to leave it there. Thank you so much. Im so sorry for your losses, again, on september 11th. Thank you. God bless. Coming up next here on hannity. There will be jihad today and jihad tomorrow. Welcome back to hannity. Theres newly uncovered video of a u. S. Born jihadist, mohamed abul take a look. No matter if you like it or not, there will be jihad. You think youre safe where you are in america or britain, i have one word to say to you, we are coming for you. And i am glad to say this, finally i get behind cameras and say this. We are coming for you. Mark my words listen to my words you think that you killed Osama Bin Laden. You did nothing. You sent him to abdullah. You sent him to paradise. You think you won . You never won. Youll never defeat islam. You, bush, any of your leaders. Well, that video was reportedly recorded the day before he blew himself up detonating a truck filled with bombs in syria last may. The scary part is this man was a florida native. So how worried should americans be about homegrown terrorists . Here to tell us is terrorism expert steve emerson. Steve, good to see you. We know that since nechb weve seen a number of these homegrown terrorists. What can you tell us about the profile of american citizens who join the jihad . Well, the profile is expanding. You saw in the video here he was a college dropout, caucasian and western totally western. His english was impeccable. But i must tell you as yogi b berra said deja vu. There are hundreds of americanmuslims who went to afghanistan to fight the jihad against the soviets. And then they returned. Guess what happened . In february 1993 the World Trade Center blew up. But that time only seven people were killed. Not enough until 3,000 were killed eight years later. So, you know, historys repeating itself here. This is a shot across the bow. And frankly there are many, many more jihadists, not necessarily planning to carry out attacks, but who can be mobilized on a moments notice. Thats the problem here. And the problem is exacerbated by the fact that we have an administration thats in bed with these radical islamic groups who pretend to be moderate or civil Rights Groups that have basically curtailed the ability of the fbi, i. C. E. Agents, to monitor, do investigations or even prosecutors. Prosecutors now have to petition the department of justice to use the word jihad in indictments. This shows you the extent to which this administration has neutered the whole campaign to stop jihadism and basically interfere, monica, with the ability of fbi agents to do their job. We saw what happened in boston, right . Yeah. Why didnt we stop that one . Its really unbelievable. And you and your group, the investigative project on terrorism, have done extraordinary work in pointing out how the fbi, city and state Law Enforcement and now the Border Patrol with essentially an open border with god knows what kind of terrorists coming over the southern border how they have really been ham strung by regulations and Political Correctness restricting their ability to monitor the islamic communities and the border. Let me ask you this because it ties into what were seeing with hamass war on israel. Talk to us a little bit about president obamas feckless policy and lack of moral clarity here and very tepid support for close friend and ally israel how thats imboldened both the Muslim Brotherhood and the Muslim Brotherhood military wing hamas. Monica, you couldnt have said it better, but let me be absolutely clear. The president ial this administration has essentially embraced and legitimized the Muslim Brotherhood, which is the godfather and parent of all sunni terrorist groups including hamas, including Islamic Jihad and al qaeda. And for the administration to make a distinction between al qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood is simply murderous. And thats what theyve done. Theyve lifted all restrictions on Muslim Brotherhood visits to the United States. Theyve negotiated with them. And basically last night when kerry announced a ceasefire, he said the ceasefire will lead to negotiations over underlying grievances. Thats like saying that negotiations with hitler would lead to a resolution of underlying grievances. Like his hatred of the west, his hatred of jews that killed 6 million, theres no underlying grievance of these groups other than destruction of the jewish state and ultimately establishment of islamic caliphate. I put squarely and fully the blame of the hamas buildup of rockets and their tunnels that started in december 2012 when Hillary Clinton first negotiated the ceasefire between israel and hamas that forced israel to lift the blockade and allow hamas to get concrete and steel, which they used to build tunnels and they used to create rocket launching facilities underground. That resulted in the most recent war, which has caused basically strategic survival of israel to be for the first time to be at risk. Yeah. Its unbelievable to me that this white house through its actions has essentially legitimized the war criminality of hamas. Steve, we have to leave it there. Thank you so much. And thank you for all of your hard work and monitoring whats going on here and abroad. Former minnesota governor Jesse Ventura is walking away with 1. 8 million after a jury decided he was defamed by the nowdeceased author of american sniper, navy s. E. A. L. S. Chris kyle. Stems from an allegation in which kyle claimed he punched ventura in a bar in 2006 for badmouthing navy s. E. A. L. S. Military families are of course outraged by the entire case and say the suit should have been dropped when kyle was killed in texas last year rather than target his widow. Here now with reaction is former navy s. E. A. L. S. And the author of lone survivor, marcus lutrell. Thank you for being here and thank you for your Selfless Service to this great nation. By the way, anybody who hasnt already seen lone survivor, run, dont walk, go see it tonight. Its a brilliant depiction of this mans heroism. Marcus, let me start by asking you, i know that the entire navy s. E. A. L. S. Community is outraged about what Jesse Ventura has done in going after this veteran, this war hero, chris kyle. Can you tell us what your reaction is to this verdict and your reaction to how the media has handled this . Let me just start by saying that im not here to speak for the navy s. E. A. L. S. Community. Im not here to speak for nsw, for the navy or any branch of the military. Im kind of here on behalf of the kyle family. Chris couldnt make it, obviously because hes died a little over a year ago. And she couldnt be here because shes at home with her kids trying to wrap her mind around the fact that shes got to go to the murder trial of the alleged individual who killed chris. But, let me just say a couple things as navy s. E. A. L. S. , one is that we covet the families of the fallen. Thats one of the most important things we do. And that applies to our most senior frog all the way down to our jr. Seal cub. I understand this mentality just as good as anybody. When we engage, when we get into a fight, we fight to win. Obviously we roll through, walk over or basically obliterate anybody or anything thats in our way. And i think when you do that sometimes you lose sight of the big picture. When chris died, this thing probably should have died with him. But it didnt. And it kept on. Now, i dont know what happened. I wasnt there. I cant attest to what happened in the bar that night. I cant attest to what happened in the courtroom over the past few weeks. But i know that the jury came to that decision and thats a the beauty of america is we have our judicial system. Sometimes it works in your favor and sometimes it doesnt. When i heard about it, you know, i was upset. And ive gotten hundreds of emails from team guys, senior to me and junior to me, both giving me talking points on both ends of the spectrum. You can only imagine.
