He needed a procedure where they inject surgical cement into the back to fuse the bones, and the doctor told him if it was done within six months, it was tremendously successful. It is now april 26th, it hasnt happened. Reporter bring him back to the er and what happens . Out, totally out and i was trying to wake him up. They were putting medication in his iv and thats when wayne opened his eyes and he said to me that he felt frozen and i asked him, i said are you cold . And he said no. And then he turned his head towards me and he said hun, get me out of here, i dont think ill make it. Reporter do you think there is a secret list and do you think your husband was on it . Yes, i think my husband was on the secret list and i do believe there is a secret list. Reporter and you said to me tonight you think your husband might have been the last person on that list because he die add month ago. He died a month ago, yeah. He was probably the last person. Its now been five months and nine days. They went in this morning. He got the iv, he was in the gown, getting ready to do the procedure and he said when did this happen . He said december 7th. He said you know what, this is not going to do any good. We should have caught this earlier. She said she feels like this is hell on earth and said ainsley, there are no more tears to cry. She said we got up and left and now my husband is going to be on oxy cotton twice a day and another muscle relax sore for the rest of his life. They said they needed to do this immediately. Yes. There are so many stories we do and over the course of years of us being in this business, weve done so many stories. This is a story i walked away with such a heavy heart and i still do and pray and think about them every day. You stay in contact with them . I do. They have become my friends. There cant be enough done to them for what they are doing to veterans. Even nbc news reported ea internal memos revealed that the va is playing this whack a mole for at least six years now, since obama has been president using scheduling tricks to hide substantial delays that exist in the Va Health System for veterans. The department under secretary for Health Administrative operations said its come to my attention that in order to improve scores on assorted access measures, certain facilities adopted the use of inappropriate scheduling practices, sometimes referred to as gaming strategies. So they have known about this. This is 2014. This memo came out in 2010 for crying out loud. You had not only us but, you know, you guys here at fox, the coverage youve done is fantastic.
