At least and no one knows exact number at least 90,000 afghans have been killed since 2001 remember there was a civil war before that. And then the soviets involved in afghanistan with the war for a decade before that. Beyond that for the United States, well more than 2400 u. S. Servicemen and women have been killed in afghanistan. More than 20,000 wounded in that conflict. 8,000 troops are on the Ground Department of defense would like that to go to 25,000 by end of this year and close to zero as they can get it by next year, of course, at least some of that depends on what happens in these talks. You know i also tell people when you have one party rule mild rule they call it in a city for so long, theres going to be corruption. And just last year we had our mayor indicted for pay to play. So i think people are starting to understand what voting for the Democrat Party every year looks like. Youre so brutally honest my goodness yes he did. He did but in a special election i was going up against such a huge name right he used to be the president as naacp and then that time remember we were on the coronavirus lockdown. So we werent able to go door to door talk to anybody about what we can bring to the area and so important right now that our team is out there 7 days week. Because now we can talk to people, and help them understand what a difference we can make in the area. Especially alongside Trump Administration. You know i tell people you have to look at the facts here the Trump Administration since the lockdown we lost so many jobes in the past four months. Weve regained 10. 6 million thats half what have we lost and thats what President Trump does hes good at bringing in careers and good at making sure the economy is great and roaring thats why i talked it in the Rnc Convention speech and people really want careers. Extreme heat in the western portion of the country. 113 degrees currently in phoenix, only 80 degrees in los angeles. But heat is going to continue to pile and not just a heat but the humidity thats making it so dangerously hot in some of these locations. So we have heat warnings watches, earses, stretches from the Desert Southwest, into california, and then running you all the way up the coast. Fairly widespread area here where were looking at temperatures up into the triple digits. Not just today but the next couple of days. So our current numbers out there if you add in the humidity this is the feels like temperature. Youre up over 100 degrees well over it in the phoenix. But close to 100 degrees there in los angeles. And even some areas in the Central Plains and then to the north getting up close to triple digits. So a lot of heat still lingering in country. That does not go away for your sunday forecast. And a lot of areas this is actually going to be hottest day of the entire weekend. 105 degrees in los angeles likely tomorrow. That heat will continue to bubble and even pool its way up into the center of the country again looking at middle 90s up closer do 100 degrees. There are states and youve primarily are focusing on the southern border area. States where theyre just overrun with animals that would otherwise be killed in shelters right . Thats exactly right. Question get most of our animals out of the state of texas, new mexico, arizona, and Central Valley of california. And theyre just completely overrun and so they have, they dont have many options. They can adopt and foster them out. Transport them, but sadly theyre euthanasia is one of the tools to help control the population. So we step in and fly as many animals as we can fly them basically from north to south, and thats where my 16,000th animal this past week. It was a great feeling. Jon how many animals in a typical flight . Yeah it really, jon, it depends on the size of the crate. So if there are a lot of minpim i can put 250 animals onboard. But more recently weve been trpghting a lot of the larger dogs that are more difficult to place. And so our average flight is between 80 and 100 animals per flight. Jon and talk about why this works so well. If you were trying to do Something Like this using the airlines. It could never happen, could it . Yeah. Like, you know, theft their own requirements about the crate sizes, temperatures, times of year, and a lot of airlines wont fly the animals during the summer because the temperature is on the tarmac too high. Now, we, the aircraft is not airconditioned. But once you get above 10,000 feet it is niece and cool for them so when were making four or five stops on one of our typical flights, we try to be on the ground for no longer than 30 minutes at a time offloading, taking on fuel. And going on to next stop. Jon so youll load with animals say in texas, and then youll stop in california and idaho, and i dont know three or four places on your way back home . Yeah. Exactly. This past week, i flew 95 animals out of lour raydo texas and montana so that was a long day. But it was also very rewarding. So who pays for it and what does it cost the shelters . Yeah. Well we dont charge. We dont charge send or receiver and rely strictly on donation of the generous folks out there who understand they can be part of the solution by donating to a charity such as ours. Now i would like to point out that, you know, Charity Begins at home so if you can help your local shelter that would be great if you have anything else or welcome to take it at dog as my copilot we can always use the help. How do these animals react when theyre in the air in your caravan . Thats a good question. If when were first loading them they are trying to get to know each other especially when im loading crates and we have little empty space leftover and we have packed that aircraft as we can. And once that engine starts, they all kind of calm down, and get very quiet. Now they have had a rough life and hear that noise, and honestly, i think theyre wondering is it going to hurt . But what they dont realize is that they got Golden Ticket were flying them from a facility that uses euthanasia and only fly animals to the organizations that will never put down a healthy animal.
