To maelanias speech mishap. You work hard for what you want in life. You work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond. Poverty and violence at home, war and destruction abroad. Well ask Trump Campaign chair Paul Manafort what bounce they got from their convention. And a sunday panel that shows the dnc working against Bernie Sanders. How will that play this week . All right now on a special edition of Fox News Sunday. You are looking live at the Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia Flyers and the 76ers and this week, site of the Democratic Convention. Starting tomorrow, this hall will be filled with more than 4,700 delegates, as the democrats nominate Hillary Clinton for president. And hello again, today from the fox news skybox, from this vantage point, well watch clinton make history as the first woman to top a major party ticket. Well also hear from a roster of headliners, president and michelle obama. Bill and chelsea clinton, Bernie Sanders and clintons new running mate, tim kaine. What message do democrats hope to send voter this week, join. G lets start with the big news this weekend, why tim kaine . Hillary clintons job this week is tim kaine has that experience, hes been a mayor, senator, on the Armed Services committee. He brings that part of the package. She wants a real partner who can help her produce the real results that are going to make a real difference in peoples lives, thats going to be key in this campaign, American People want action, they want their economic lives uplifted, tim kaine brings the same values to the job that she does, and that will be a very powerful combination to get washington working for real people again. But there are some real differences on issues between clinton and kaine, cane wants to ease some regulations of banks under dodd frank, he supports the hyde amendment, and as governor he backed requiring parental consent for minors seeking abortions. So theres some differences. They talked through those differences and when you talk about tim kaine, keep in mind, hes got a 100 rating from planned parenthood, hes a practicing catholic and hes personally opposed to abortion, but he said that row vre v. Wad the law of the land. On some of these other issuesliissues like like ttp, Hillary Clinton has confirmed her criteria for trade deals being met, they have to protect american workers, protect jobs, make sure they dont reduce wages, make sure they raise wages and protect our National Security. Tim kaine is in line with her to make sure that this is what tim kaine said about t 3rks p, the pacific trade deal. He suddenly announced he was opposed to tpp. Hillary clinton said there were things she didnt like about it too. We very critically negative towards national interests, changes who has to own how much of a business, to qualify at the Vietnamese Company or the malaise yachb company. I dont think theres any enconsistency here, nobody said this is terrible in every i and t has been dotted and crossed. Hillary clinton who thought and talked about them, and then at the end of the deal, it didnt meet her test. All right, les talk about the other big issue as you get into this convention, some Bernie Sanders supporters upset about cane, because they that that hes too centrist, but what theyre really upset about, was a wikileaks leak on friday. Which seemed to show that the dnc was favoring clinton instead of sanders, in early may, the dncs finance chief for kentucky and west virginia, can we get someone to ask his belief . Does he believe in a god . He skated on saying he has a jewish heritage. I read he is an atheist. Sanders never, ever had his argument together, that his campaign was a mess and responding to sanders criticism in april, dnc chair Debby Wasserman Schultz wrote, spoken like someone who has never been a member of the Democratic Party. We have spoke to several people in the sapders cap, trump is tweeting out, maybe theres going to be a philly fight. And theres also a report that debbie Wasserman Schultz is not going to speak at this convention, is that true . I. First of all, i believe the gentleman who sent that email, has apologized. The one about sanders religion . Hillary clinton has been a woman of faith her whole life, she was raised a methodist and believes very strongly in the creed of her faith. We dont believe anybodys religious should be an issue in any campaign. What about the larger issue, which is just the idea, that all of these eric mamails show tha dnc had its thumb on the scale. Lets keep in mind what happened here, most experts on Cyber Security say that this is a bad hack working in concert with russia. We know about three emails, we dont know anything else thats been said inside the dnc, what we know about the course of our primary system, 30 Million People voted, they voted in open primaries, we had independents voting, we had democrats vote, she won 54 of the delegates. I understand that she won, but did the dnc have its thumb on the scale . I think the dnc will have a full review of all these er emails, all these actors acting in concert with russia, theyre kind of trying to meddle in what we believe was a fair and honest election. Do you believe it was russia that tried to i think when 30 Million People vote in the primary system, the second most in history, and the ballots consider counted at the ballot box, and Hillary Clinton got 16 million votes, second only to herself and barack obama, i think these elections were fair, i think we should wait for the review, the full review of this and not jump to any conclusions on any side. To apologize, would seem to indicate that that was an accurate email. If the finance share apologizes and the finance chair should. I dont think the election was rigged. But the question is whether the dnc favored clinton over sanders. Thats a different issue. The issue here is these primaries are largely fought out on the ground with voters. The dncs impact in these things is minimal compared to the results. What candidates in campaigns spend and do on the ground, talking to voters day in and day out. Thats whos determined to win. And we were assured by the dnc that we wouldnt have what happened last week at the rnc, that they wouldnt do sound checks, but every convention, they do sound checks so if you hear some extraneous noise, does Hillary Clinton have full confidence in Debby Wasserman Schultz and will she stay in her job through the election . I honestly have never had a conversation with Hillary Clinton about debbie Wasserman Schultz and Democratic Party. Thats the honest truth, i have never had that conversation. So i cant sit here and assure you of anything. There are reports out today that she may not speak at the con vengeance. Do you worry that this could disrupt a convention . No, i dont, we have got a lineup thats extraordinary, i think youre going to see a strong contrast between the disunity, the dif vieiveness. Were going to be talking about how the strength of america is in your unity, our diversity and the fact that we have always been at our best when we lift each other up, not when we ter each other apart. I want to talk about a controversy at your convention. On thursday night, youre going to feature whats called the mothers of the movement, a group of mothers and other victims, relatives of victims of police shootings, why . Well, look, i think these women have been suffered a tragic loss, we havent released our full program about the range of things we have talked about. But we have the need to have both respect for our police, and we have seen tragic shootings in dallas and baton rouge obviously and respect between police and communities. And i think people in the police, Law Enforcement field, agree with that, nobodys happy when the communities and the police are not working together to solve crimes. I was just going to say, heres why i bring it up. Philadelphia, this citys Police Union Says it is, quote, insulted by the exclusion of police widowings and Police Family members and if they say that youre talking to the victims of the shootings, but not to the victims of the police who were assassinated. They said when eight cops were assassinated in the last few weeks, why arent you honoring them . First of all, respectfully to the Police Officers in philadelphia, we have not released our full program yet, as you know, there are many events that, and speakers, the majority of which have not been released yet. That will happen in the forthcoming future. But these women have been on a campaign to talk about the relations between police and their communities. The communities that suffer the highest crime in the country, who want to be protected, who know that the Law Enforcement people are there in their communities to protect them. But theyre speaking out because they also suffered tragic losses of children, husbands, fathers, who have been shot, and thats painful for them. And what theyre trying to do is take their loss and turn it into activism, to be part of the conversation to improve these relations with police and kmu t community. At his convention this last week, donald trump, i think you would agree hammered Hillary Clinton. Heres a taste of that. This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton, death, destruction, terrorism and weakness. Clinton was already trailing by 8 points among men and by 15 points among whites. What does your polling show . Honestly, did donald trump get any bounce out of his convent n convention . Honestly, we havent polled during the convention, because its not an opportune time to do that. But as a poller, of swing voters, thats kind of been my sweet spot as a pollster. I think your goal at your convention is you have to speak to people who are accessible to you, but not with you yet. You have to speak to their values and their issues, i think that was a missed opportunity, their chaos, their divisiveness, they felt left out of their party. The government nofr of a host state did not attend that convention. They had an opportunity to show some unity, and instead they ended up showing divisiveness in their speaking about the American People, and a divided party at its core right now. Finally you look at the numbers, i assume every day, the numbers you get. How close is this race, especially in the swing states. We dont poll every day, but just to be clear, the history of president ial elections is theyre very close. We have only had a handful of president s who have been elected with 50 of the vote on their election and reelection, so you expect these to be in a 3 to 6 or 7 range. We won over mccain and romney. I think were stay in that range, i think well see after the convention, who got a bounce and who really communicated and made the point with the voters they need to reach better. So in that three to six points, where are you in that range right now . Were in that range. 3, 5, 7 . Talk to me after the two conventions. Tell me one favor, when you leave here now, will you ask them to stop hammering . I will. You can wait until 10 00. Thank you, thanks for coming in on this very busy week, have a good convention. Up next, the chair of the Trump Campaign, Paul Manafort on if his candidate will see a bounce. Take on any road with intuitive allwheel drive. The nissan rogue, murano and pathfinder. Now get 0 apr for 72 months, plus 500 bonus cash. A looking at the iconic love sculpture at city hall in downtown philadelphia. Donald trump will take an unaccustomed place on the sidelines as democrats get the spotlight. How did trump do in cleveland and where does the race stand right now. Joining me is Trumps Campaign chair, Paul Manafort. Heres what they had to say got the campaign and donald trump. When he says, as he did say, i alone can fix it. Hes not only wrong, hes dangerously wrong. When donald trump says he has your back, you better watch out. He leaves a trail of broken promises and wrecked lives wherever he goes. Paul, their basic message, trump doesnt care about regular folks, all he cares about is donald trump. Well, thats the pot calling the kettle black, i guess you could say. The establishment is represented by Hillary Clinton, and she chose her partner in senator kaine. Senator kaine is the ultimate status quo, hes never had a job in the private sector, hes been mayor, governor, committee chair. He has had no jobs joi s outsid politics. Of course they dont get it. Donald trump does it get, he was nominated because he understands whats going on in america and doesnt care whats going on in washington and hes committed to breaking that gridlock, during that convention, that message resonated. Even the cnn poll, showed that 75 who listened to his speech agreed with him and thought he would bring real change. Thats over 35 Million People who were listening. So that campaign speaks of exactly what we want. Were the change candidate. Clinton and kaine are the failed establishment candidate. Their record is what were fighting against. And for them to say theyre going bring change when all of the problems that were created during the Obama Administration frankly is ludicrous. Now in a strict political sense, tim kaine is a white man from a swing state, doesnt he cut into trumps advantages in some of those areas . Tim kaine is a famed career politician whos never had a job in the private sector and never created jobs. His record as governor hes failed, hes never lost an election, paul. Compare his record to governor pence. During kaines term in office, he tried to raise taxes 4 billion as governor. He came in saying he was going to change the Transportation System in virginia. He did change it. It got worse. Unemployment went from 3 to over 7. 5 . Governor pence cut taxes every year he was governor, brought in new jobs, balanced the budget, has a 2 billion reserve fund as well as having improved the infrastructure, improved health care and education. Those are records of accomplishment. Tim kaine may be what he is, but as far as were concerned hes the perfect candidate. Bernie sanders should be concerned because tim kaine doesnt represent the issue but then the wikileaks of the democratic emails over the last week prove that that was always the plan. And im not surprised. Well see how they take it at their convention. Are you egging on your boss has been talking about a philly fight, are you egging on the Bernie Sanders supporters and delegates to cause a fuss here at the convention . We dont have to egg them on, they have a lot to be complained about. The emails have proven the testimony was rigged against them from the start. The only reason theyre not the nominee is because the pledged delegates were fix from the beginning. As far as were concerned, the people who voted for Bernie Sanders, right now the polls show that 55 are going to support Hillary Clinton, and a number of them who were against the rigged system, can find support in what donald trump has been saying as far as what he wants to do in breaking up the rigged political system, the rigged economy. If theres anybody whos against wall street, its donald trump, not Hillary Clinton who basically lives off the funding from wall street. Lets talk about the convention and your candidate. Democrats are pushing back against trumps description at the convention of an america in crisis. Take a look. This idea that america is somehow on the verge of collapse, this vision of violence and chaos everywhere, doesnt really jibe with the experience of most people. He offered a lot of fear and anger and resentment. But no solutions about anything that he even talked about. Paul, didnt trump engage in fearmongering . Not at all. First of all, barack obama is totally out of touch with america. For him to say the people in country are happy and theyre Walking Around with sunshine in their face is not a realty. I mean it shows that he doesnt even get what hes done to this country. Secondly, as far as Donald Trumps speech, it was a speech of hope, but the difference between what youre going to hear out of the democrats in philadelphia this weekend and what donald trump said is he told the truth. He said, look, i recognize your pain. I understand it. I know things are hard for you. I know youre working two jobs and still barely paying your bills, i know you dont like the Rising Health care costs, i know you dont want to walk the streets, contrary to what president obama said. He said im going to take care of this. And hes got the record to prove it. Then he offered very specific solutions, he talked about his plan to cut taxes, hiss plan to bring law and order to the community, he talked about his antiterrorist program, and keeping terrorists out of dangerous areas, and he talked about his plan to make america independent. He talked about his health care plan, his infrastructure plan. Lets drill down on one area. Heres what trump said about clintons call for a 550 increase in the number of Syrian Refugees we let into the country. She proposes this despite the fact that theres no way to screen these refugees in order to find out who they are, or where they come from. But paul, that just simply is not true. It takes 18 months to two years to screen a single syrian refugee to come into the country. And in fact this year, president obama so far at least has only met half of his target of allowing 10,000 Syrian Refugees into the country in a year, only about 5,200. First of all, chris, theres more than just Syrian Refugees stream skbing into the country. Heres what trumps view is, we have to limit woe dont have one right now. We have open borders. Theres no vetting process, which is why things are dangerous. By wait, wait, wait. But wait. But respectfully, in the case of the syrians, any syrian refugee coming into this country is vetted for between 18 months and two years, thats the system. Chris, when they get here, we dont even know who they are. Not just again, not just from syria, theyre coming in from all places, many other places in the middle east. Trumps position is very clear, we have to have a system that lets us know who were letting in. Hes got a humanitarian approach to it. Create sanctuary cities in the regions of the world where theyre coming from. Instead of having the sanctuary cities in the united states, have the sanctuary cities in their own location. Even people coming here would like that because theyre closer to their families and their heritage. Trump in an interview with meet the press, he said we also have to have extreme vetting for terrorists from france. Is that the way were going to treat our allies, people wanting to come into this country from france, germany and belgium . The difference is that france, germany and belgium we have agreements with, syria, we dont. Syria isnt going to work with us to vet their citizens coming into the united states. In france, generatirmany and tho not. But people coming in from france . Hes calling for cooperative efforts to make sure that wherever people are coming in, that we know who they are, and what they stand for. Im sure you have seen some holes by now, did trump get any bounce out of the Republican Convention, and where is this right now . We think were ahead. Especially in the Battle Ground states which is what we care about more than the national numbers. When you look at what is the result of the convention, frankly you have to look at the last month, because trump has been closing the gap between he and clinton over the last three weeks, so part of the Convention Bump has occurred before our convention. Were confident that youre going to see continued growth in our direction, but the more states that are going to elect trump have moved and were going to see more. Trump has expanded the map. Were not looking at only one way to win as romney encountered. We are expanded the map. Michigan is in play, iowa is in play, connecticut is in play, these are states that the democrats lock down early and have forced us on defensive ground with only one or two ways to win. Its the opposite this year, and that cnn poll showed 75 who were watching agreed with donald trump and thought he could bring about the change. And that message was geared not just to republicans but to democrats and independents too. We think that its going to be a successful result of our convention, the convention itself communicated what we wanted and we think the democrats are going to have problems keeping their coalition together because the establishment is trying to abuse the progressives in their party and theyre the ones in chaos, not us. Paul, thank you, thank you for joining us after a very busy week, always good to talk to you. Thanks, chris, look forward to seeing you again. Up next, well bring in our sunday group to discuss those leaked emails, buwas the dnc playing favorites in the primary battle between clinton and sanders . Youre here to buy a car. What would help is simply being able to recognize a fair price. Truecar has pricing data on every make and model, so all you have to do is search for the car you want, there it is. Now youre an expert in less than a minute. This is truecar. I have to say that senator tim kaine is everything donald trump and mike pence are not. He has the qualifications to step into this job and lead on day one. Hillary clinton on why she selected tim kaine on their first joint appearance in miami. Its time for our sunday group. Fox news political analyst pretty hume, anne geren of the washington post. Bret, what do you think of the clintonkaine ticket . The choice was a wise one, it begins the inevitable pivot towards the center that candidates always make if they want to win. And it also puts forward to the public someone who says, yeah, that person could be president. The importance of the Vice President ial pick fades going forward. But for these immediate needs he fits the bill fine. And the Clinton Campaign thinks its in very good shape, which explains why they didnt try to out the kaine announcement in such a way to try and step on trumps because the suspicion is he wont get much of a bounce. Why did she pick kaine over warren or cory booker over all the others . She picked kaine because shes the most comfortable with him and she checks every box and she didnt feel the need to reach for anything. She didnt feel the need to reach for a very liberal person who would automatically give her something that liberals think she lack. She didnt think she needed to reach for someone with National Security credentials that are very different than her own, she didnt feel she needed to reach for anybody that had experiences other than her own or came from a different part of the party. And i think that shows her comfort level, to her point. And she really feels like he could be somebody that anyone could look at and say, yeah, i could see that person being president and then she never really has to think about it again. As we discussed with joe benson, there is another thousands of dnc National Committee emails that seem to confirm a lot of suspicions that the dnc was helping her defeat Bernie Sanders, does this have the potential to disrupt this convention in what seems to be if not an alliance, but a growing comfort between clinton and sanders and his supporters . When we came into the dnc, the question was how much disunity is there really, when we started off in cleveland, there was some talk about the delegates erupting, that didnt happen. There was still some dissension on the floor, but the disunity continued to build throughout the event, concluding of course be ted cruzs decision not to endorse and to get booed off the stage. And if there are concerns that Debby Wasserman Schultz isnt going to speak, i think thats good for the Clinton Campaign, you dont want any attention focused on any sort of disunity, and i think starting tomorrow, youre going to have two people on stage that democrats really love, Bernie Sanders and michelle obama. That is going to be the focus moving forward. I think the dnc thing is going to fadeaway. Before i bring on george, do you think Debby Wasserman Schultz keeps her job between now and november, or because of the anger and the sense that their deepest suspicions were concerned that they sacrifice her . I dont know, i think if i have learned anything from this year, its how little traditional parties have mattered. Bernie sanders didnt win the nomination, but he succeeded in part not only without the partys support, but he has shown that you can go around the partys support, you dont need their voter list, you can do it all throughout whether its this devision, and you can connect with donors that way, he proved really, as did donald trump that the parties have become less significant than ever. We always i think assumed that the dnc was working on behalf of Hillary Clinton to the detriment of Bernie Sanders, is the leak of these ermails a bi zeal or not . Si dont think it lasts for among, the kind of people who work for the dnc are political operatives and they have political viewings and they have political careers and they have an eye for the main chance and they probably assumed all along that it would be nice to be on the side of the person whos going to win, a person in Hillary Clintons incarnation who has contacts with all the apparatus of the Democratic Party. So they had a career reason for doing this. Also, i mean, its a practical effect and the Bernie Sanders supporters are going to be upset. If youre looking to elect a democratic president , wasnt Hillary Clinton a more likely choice than Bernie Sanders to win in november . Absolutely. The fact that she won after a protracted struggle helped her and it in fact made her a better candidate, it always does. I think on the part of the dnc, i mean when do we think of the dnc, or the rnc for that matter . After a candidate is nominated, he often puts or she puts his or her own person in there, we should been surprised that it happens this time and we shouldnt think of it very much after. For purposes of today, its a big story. Ann, your thoughts . Its confirmatory for the sanders supporters, that there was to their view there was a finger on the scale all along and that clearly there was a selective leak of emails that tends to back that up. That is a perception problem. It is potentially a problem when sanders speaks tomorrow night. It will it gives people who always wanted to have a reason to distrust this process some evidence to back that up. But the good news if youre Hillary Clinton is that the Clinton Campaign and the Sanders Campaign are in good standing. This is the dnc that is the bigger problem, as opposed to being a fight between these two camps in the way that cruz and trump were about the two individuals. Chris, is this at all a kind of peace with the arguments that we have had about the superdelegates, the superdelegates represent the party regulars, and the superdelegates these are people who are not elected as part of the primary process, they are the mayors and the governors and Party Officials and they get to go in unbound and be for whoever they want to be. Exactly right. And they played an Important Role in Hillary Clintons nomination, and they did, these superdelegates, in that sense, precisely what the system was created to do which is to keep somebody whos out there where the busses dont run from getting the nomination. And it is certainly no surprise when you think about that, that the Democratic Party apparatus itself would be tipping in favor of the person they thought was more likely to win, and also actually a democrat, which Bernie Sanders, except for using the party to try to advance hiss president ial aspirations is not. And we should point out, there was a meeting of the rules committee, we talked about the rules of the Republican Convention, they met for hours and hours and hours about the decision whether there should be fewer superdelegates, in that the delegates on the floor have to actually be voted in by real people, by voters. So they decided, let me just finish, and they decided in their infinite wisdom to appoint a commission. Dont they always . That was to reduce the impact of the superdelegates or even the size of their presence here, that will tell us that the superdelegates did exactly what the superdelegates were intended to do in this election cycle and therefore theyre being diminishes. We have no idea what candidates are going to emerge and what issues are going to emerge four years from now. The republicans, perhaps they ought to have more superdelegates. Were going to get to the republicans in a moment. We have to take a break here. When we come back, it was Donald Trumps time to shine, but from melan melanias speech to the ted cruz endorsement. Trurp pushing the central theme of his campaign as he accepted the gop nomination thursday night in cleveland. Asked about the Clinton Campaign, where is the Trump Campaign at the end of this convention, did they unify the Republican Base and were they at all successful in reaching out to undecided voters . I think the party is as unified as its going to get with donald trump as its nominee. And as to reaching out for undecided voters and those who are not already prepared to vote for donald trump is out, but i think his speech is basically all that we have been heard all these months now except louder. If i can use a somewhat imperfect nightclub analogy, she wasnt trying to be the friendly greeter, he was trying to be the bouncer. And i think a bouncer is what at of people believe we need. With the pummeling that Hillary Clinton received this week by the speakers at the rnc convention, how does the Dnc Convention planning to amy, how do you answer pattie, because bill clinton and barack obama will try to rip trumps skin off this week. I think theyre going to spend more time trying to build up their candidate than focusing exclusively on donald trump. Because there still is nom disunity among the republicans, was Hillary Clinton, that was an easy way to rally the troops, in opposition to her. Clinton has been engaged in 100 . Character assassination of trump. Absolutely. And thats not going to stop. But i think youre going to see a convention, at least this is what im hear, is this one is going to be much more focused, on while taking out trump, focusing on a much brighter, sunnier, more optimistic message and one that talks a lot more about Hillary Clinton while also taking on donald trump. And how do they deal directly, with issue of her big we weakness, honesty and trust worthiness . I think come november, thats not going to go away, she cant fix that, i dont think people are going to find her more trust worthy. The answer is whether theyre going to find her with more experience, do they want that kind of president over donald trump. George, you are to put it gently, not a trump enthusiast, two questions, first of all, did you watch the Republican Convention. I did. And secondly, what did you think of it . I watched between innings. The defining characteristic of the speaker, of the nominee himself, with the locker up chants was anger. I dont think the American People have elected an angry president since andrew jackson. And that was 100 years before the invention of television. And television brings the candidates into our living room. And im not sure people want angry people in their living rooms. When clinton said kaine is everything that trump isnt. She could have said cheerfully, a happy warrior, a phrase applied to democratic nominee al smith, and another democratic nominee, herbert humphrey. So the question is s how do they deal with this problem of the perception of mrs. Clinton. I think theyre going to fall upon joe bidens acxion, dont compare me to the almighty, compare me to the alternative. And do you want an angry man in your living room . When you say hes angry, trumps pushing back on the idea that this was a grim speech, or that he was angry, theyre saying he was strong, and he was telling it like it is. Donald trump is the one whos described contemporary america as a hell hole, thats a quote. And when you describe america as people who are afraid to leave their houses because of crime and terrorism, i think its a big problem. And i dont think they think its a hell hole. What do they make of the Republican Convention, do they think they made any gains or got any bounce . Theres things in there they think they can capitalize on. Their dark seasons in the trump message, the ways in which trump steams to be attacking american institutions and americas presence in the world, democrats think they can turn on its head and say, hey, wait a minute, were not failing, were not afaa failed state. Thats one message. There is concern within Hillary Clinton land that trump is resonating on a couple of points, the law and order and security issues, primarily that hes touching something there that is National Security, but also really gets out a number of other areas and unease, social unease, economic unease, fears about safety. And what about the idea e change election, trump very much was arguing shes change, versus Hillary Clintons status quo, hes with the people against the elite. That is going to be a powerful argument for donald trump just because this would be the third Democratic Administration in a row and its been Hillary Clintons bet that it is far better to wrap herself in barack obama than to run away from him. So in a way, that opens democrats think that thats good for them, but it also obviously opens the door for trump to make the accurate claim that shes basically running for a third term, that shes trying to continue the current status quo, and if you dont like the status quo, then hes the change. The last third Ronald Reagan at the Republican Convention saying, we are the change. A couple including david broder said that was the moment he knew the election was going to go to the republican, and it rang true, an he was saying things were going well. Things in the publics mind at this stage, are not going so well. So if the democrats seek to portray this that its a good idea to elect a democrat for the third time, they have to be careful not to fail to acknowledge that a lot of people do not think its going well, theyre really not looking for continuity, theyre looking for change. I dont think its an easy task to defend whats been done and yet say im going to make things different and better, and at the same time, if youre too rosy about it, people are going do say these folks are out of touch. Right track, wrong track, is about 21. This is not 1988, this is not even 2000. There is a desire for change, but the question in front of voters that Hillary Clinton is going to give, is change at what cost . Is it change worth making given what the alternative could be. The megs sajs of i may not be the best, but im better than the alternative. The polls say this is still a close race and in fact has gotten closer since the fbi and james comeys scolding of Hillary Clinton, ask it still a close race . I think its a close race and i think its going to continue to be. Im with joel, im not going to look at numbers until we get out of this convention and see what actually happens.
