Weve a multiple, thousands of medical issues that prevent people from enlistment and if youre going to allow one group to come in and have surgery and go through transition, but other groups . What about groups with cancer or hype Blood Pressure . What about those with flat feet or eczema . You open the doors to allow one group to receive special treatment, what about the other group . The needs of the military art with the needs of the individual that is a common practice and employment law. When you look at the disparity there that you cant pull the military to these employment standards because discrimination in the military is very much based upon your mental, physical, and aptitude tests if you cant meet all the standards you have to cross the border to be fair without treatment. They are all kinds of things like the american disability act, modifying the job so somebody can do it, you have to do that as an employer. People argue the military did not do much does not have the business to do that. The policy is not different in the treatment of hundreds of conditions such as bipolar disorder, asthma or diabetes. These qualifications exist for two reasons, they are able to perform at the level expected. Number one, it is not a disease or illness.
