This is one piece of it, the unemployment numbers, but we also need to look at other aspects of the economy that are not working for people who need it most. The job numbers are positive. When you look at this jobs report, specifically hispanics and african americans, theyre doing pretty well in the trump economy right now. Certainly these numbers are one piece of reflection of what the economy how its affecting them. When you look at Rising Healthcare cost prices, certainly these communities are being hit the hardest. When you look at the fact that inflation adjusted wages have actually declined, that we do see the job growth actually, you know, starting to slow down. And whats up with outsourcing in this trump economy, where youve got federal contractors who basically have outsourced more jobs at a record high under the trump economy. There are all of these facets that are absolutely hitting working families hardest. Hang on. I got to push back. Youre saying wage growth is going down. Im looking at my computer here, because the Labor Department says wage growth remains steady at 2. 7 in june in terms of wage growth. You said wages are going down under donald trump. Thats not true. With, i said that inflation adjusted wages have declined. Thats a reality. You cant just look at it through one trumpfocused talking point lens. You have to look at how working families have been hit decade after decade. By the way, wage growth has been outpacing inflation, which means people have more purchasing power. Meanwhile the reason you said job growth is slowing. Thats because more people are rejoining the job market. Military, opening the armed forces to foreignborn recruits, expanding the ranks of those with specially medical or Foreign Language skills while giving them a pathway to citizenship. At the same time the pentagon struggled to vet the increasing backlog of foreign recruits, many with murky, unverifiable backgrounds. Last year, after an assessment revealed some recruits had lied on background checks, the pentagon froze the program. We could not continue what weve been doing without an espionage. So we are taking the steps obviously to save the program if it can be saved. And i believe it can. Thursday the Associated Press citing Immigration Attorneys reported the pentagon as further cracking down on the program, abruptly discharging 44 foreign recruits. The a. P. Story hinted strongly it was driven by the president Trump Administrations antiimmigrant policies, prompting a flurry of angry responses. Its highly suspicious, because these individuals are in the country legally, enlisted in the army a long time ago. It appears the army got tired of spending resources, processing the background checks they were ordered to do, so theyve come up with a specious excuse to kick everyone out. Late today Defense Department officials told fox news that the 40 cases outlined in the story include recruits from china, apartment complex, and iran among others, and that the large majority of cases are not recruits from central or south america, quote, this is the normal process of adsquarefoot kateing security clearances. Military analysts say these types of discharges are hardly unique to foreignborn recruits. Its called a deep fake. You can see a trajectory develop where within a year or two its going be really hard for a person to distinguish between a real video and fake video. These videos could potentially have very serious consequences. At some point someone will take the next step and weaponize it. It takes forensic capabilities, technical capabilities, to show its not real. By the time its done, its been widely disseminated. How does it work . If you have enough video and audio of an individual, a Computer Program using an algorithm can mimic that persons voice and facial expression. Earlier this year, a director made a deep fake video for buzzfeed, appearing to show former president barack obama disparage President Trump, using two programs called aftereffects and fake app, the minutelong video tooking roughly 56 hours to render. President trump is a total and complete [bleep]. Now, see, i would never say these things, at least not in a public address. But someone else would. Someone like jordan peele. Obviously these kinds of videos have the potential to do a lot of harm. Thats why a research arm of the department of defense is currently working on technology to detect the socalled deep fake. Ed .
