This has been a long hard slog as Congress Advances this bill just before christmas. Lawmakers realized they couldnt leave for the hock holidays without Stocking Stuffers for the public, but bear in mind when the process began. This covert bill has taken far too long. We started these negotiations before the first day of summer in june, the longest day of the year. And here we are now headed into the darkest day of the year. The first day of winter. Talks on a fifthround of coronavirus aide started and stopped and started again all throughout the summer and fall until finally, a massive package came together over the weekend. But its a lot slimmer than what most democrats called for. This package is nowhere near enough. House democrats passed three times more relief in may, a republican colleagues did nothing. We passed more than doubled this two months ago, our republican colleagues did nothing. This package is not commensurate to the magnitude of the crisis we face. We need to do more. There was fingerpointing over who was to blame over the christmas crisis. Its not too little, too late, its directly targeted and exactly what the country needs right now. If after the new administration comes in they want to advocate more, we will take a look at it based upon conditions in the country at that time. Now heres whats in the bill. Direct payment checks of 600. Most liberals and some conservatives push for 1200. There is a onemonth Eviction Moratorium and the bill protects jobs with another infusion of cash for the paycheck protection program. Whats not in the bill is a liability shield and no money for state and local governments but both sides will try for another bill next year. Now heres what to look for. Mitch mcconnell and joe biden served together in the senate for years and they were friends, can they cut a deal on the new year . The senate right now is voting to align with the house of representatives and we should have a final vote shortly. They are requiring a 60 vote threshold here, shannon. Most times it takes a simple majority to pass things in the senate but because they had to skip over parliaments parliamentary hoops to get this done before the government funding deadline at 1159 tonight they are subjecting this to a 60 vote threshold and we should have a final result momentarily. President elect biden is still mulling his options for attorney general but his incoming press secretary insisted to fox news yesterday that no matter who it is, the person will be a neutral arbiter of justice when it comes to the investigations currently underway. He will not be discussing an investigation of the sun with any attorney general candidates and he will not be considered comic discussing it with anyone he has considered for a role or future attorney generals. Hunter biden isnt the only democrat in the hot seat, there are increasing calls for Eric Swalwell to step down from the house intelligence committ committee. This following revelations about his past ties to an alleged chinese spy. If there is no way Eric Swalwell should continue to serve on the Intel Committee. Going to request that every Single Member of the House Intelligence Committee get the exact same briefing from the fbi that i did. Because if this individual sitting on this committee, Eric Swalwell, they have to know the background of whats going on. Operative say what matters most is national security. You cant have someone sitting on the Intelligence Committee that may be compromised. Eric swalwell says he did nothing improper insist the entire stories and nothing but a political hit job. We do know he cut off ties with that alleged buyback in 2015 after the fbi alerted him to an Ongoing Investigation into her activities inside the United States, but he has not said anything on this matter for a few days now. This was a very significant effort and i think its the case that now we can say very clearly that the russians were engaged in this activity. They believe the russians gained access to private data in multiple agencies including the department of commerce and energy. The full impact of the breach is unclear but he said i have been fully briefed and everything is well under control. Russia russia russia is the priority chant when anything happens because mainstream is for a financial reason petrified to discuss the idea it may be china, it may. Hours later lawmakers pushed back. I was disappointed in the president s comment but i think would come to recognize that the president has a blind spot when it comes to russia. The other interesting thing is the attorney general was asked whether a special counsel was needed to investigate claims of voter fraud and he said he didnt feel one was needed. Let me get this straight, a special counsel was appointed to investigate the real donald trump based on malicious rumors get verified facts about Hunter Bidens business dealings which dont want the same treatment . What do you think about that decision . There are other investigations ongoing. There are a lot of investigations ongoing and we saw time. I would not count out a special prosecutor for the larger issue of china and how china has used its leverage, not only in politics but in academia. This is a larger issue that i think bidens have just taken advantage of, and clearly we have a whole Intel Community that is concentrating on russia as a problem, which it is. No one wants to diminish the problems that we have with russia. But china is a crisis and what has been happening over the last decades is we have had numerous democrats really downplaying the start from china and i think the bidens just took advantage of it. And this whole idea of, look over here, and pretend that russia is a crisis when we know that china is the crisis, i think that is concern for a lot of people. It crosses into many different issues. Politics, certainly we see it in sports and international diplomacy, the u. N. Is flooded with chinese spies and influences and academia we know. So we got to understand that china is a crisis and has been a hidden crisis for way too long. Shannon and House Minority leader Kevin Mccarthy talked about this in the context of his congressman Eric Swalwell where there are growing questions. He has not answered our questions from our producer or fox as try to get information directly from him but here is what minority leader mccarthy said. Is a very Junior Member just in his second term he gets married to the Intel Committee and the exact same year, they were concerned with what they saw . He was put as a ranking democrat over the cia. I do not understand how this has continued this loan shannon Speaker Pelosi has said she has confidence in congressman swalwell as a number of highprofile democrats have put the g. O. P. Continued calls for him to be removed from the Intel Committee. Does this go anywhere . Anyone who has ever seen the classified version of whats going on with the chinese leverage, its not just Eric Swalwell its local officials that started when he was a local official. There are people in positions of power like president elect biden, and his wife had it, harris had it, mike pence and his wife karen haddad as well. There are enough people doing this on television that i dont think people want to see their local representative to ensure that its safe and i appreciate the argument that shes making because as you pointed out we are not exactly sure how the distribution is working across the board. We know that a nurse or woman of color was a first person to get it in the United States but how has distribution gone since then . I would actually take congresswoman omars side on this issue. Im not sure how they will react to that. You cant redistribute wealth and the free system because wealth is not distributed, its earned. In a free country where people are not forced to stay in new york or a particular state, you cant take money that people have earned and say you will take it from one person and give it to someone else who hasnt earned it without there being repercussions. Its good that mayor de blasio is being honest and he supports the scheme of redistributing wealth by force but its a terrifying thing that someone could articulate that in a free country without repercussions. So i hope that people in new york who have already expressed frustration with how he is managing his city do what is necessary to make sure that people dont have their wealth taken from them. Election integrity and upholding of constitution and rule of law is always worth the time and effort and thats what mark meadows tweeted today become a state. I think what weve seen is a failure of the Judicial Branch to weigh in on Election Integrity, that was an absolute failure there. It was a failure of the state legislatures to do their constitutionally mandated obligation and so what President Trump and the Trump Legal Team are willing and continue to do is illegal and constitutionally appropriate method to ensure we preserve Election Integrity and we know that six states violated the rules in the 2020 election. We cant allow that to prevail because if cheaters prosper we will never have free and Fair Elections again in this country. God knows everything about us, he knows our name and how many hairs we have on her head to come im glad still got some. You know me well enough that thats the truth. Im interested in people doing what i did years ago, get rid of the religiousness in your life and have a real relationship with god, then go on an adventure of a lifetime. Its because god put me there. Theres a purpose to everything he does in our lives and i think people are terrified these days and they are scared, everything seems random, there such a sense of fear. Because if we are not trusting god, what sees us through his our faith. When we are afraid and we are hiding and we are paralyzed with fear, we are obviously not trusting him. And we are human. You talk about the book, i mean this trusting doesnt mean that nothing is ever going to go wrong and you will have a fairy tale life. You are very open about difficult things that you went through and some of them very publicly, but even through that, as we think about what a tough time people had this year, it was good on the other side. There were purpose and things of themselves and the other side. Always. Jesus side to come in this world you will have trouble but fear not, i have overcome the world. The truth is, if we trust him, he says he will have trouble and tribulations and trials and Everything Else but he says i will be with you through them. I am the path, i am the path to the other side of everything. And if i didnt believe that shannon, i would either be in betty ford right now or bellevue, for prison for having shot frank.
