Tonight officers are pouring over the crime scene where 1yearold was shot and killed late last night. His grieving father and grandmother speaking out on hannity tonight. For the cowards that did this, you should be ashamed of yourself, because everybody talk about black lives matter. What about baby lives . What about teenager lives . You took an innocent child from a mother and a father as well as the grandparents. And i dont think its fair. Shannon and its not just new york and chicago which saw another violent weekend. At denver is now on pace for its deadliest year in a decade. Alex hogan is tracking it all, she joins us live from new york, good evening, alex. Good evening, shannon. For the fourth straight weekend, gun violence continuing to plague new york city and just tonight in brooklyn, five people were shot, three separate incidents just minutes apart, all victims of driveby shootings. The crime surge across the nation sounding alarms. New York City Police responding to 28 shootings this weekend alone, up 600 compared to the same weekend last year. According to the nypd, there were 35 victims, that number up 483 . Among the dead, a 1yearold child. Suspect opening fire on three people and a baby boy at a barbecue late sunday night. The adults are recovering, he died at the hospital. In a virtual town hall, alexandria ocasiocortez blaming the uptick in violence on a combination of high unemployment and economic desperation. They put in a position with a feel like the evening to shoplift some bread or go hungry that night. Crime is a symptom of a Disease Society that neglects its most marginalized people. And we do not solve that probl problem ted williams pointing elsewhere to the increase in crime. What youre finding in new york in major metropolitan cities are gangs trying to take over gang turf and as a result of that, you have a lot of shootings. Bill de blasio has been attributing the violence to the pandemic and court system. The nypd however pointing to inmate releases from city jails during covid19 and recent police and bail reform. As protests continue for an end to police brutality, more attacks on Law Enforcement are being caught on video, like someone throwing an egg get an officer and even a man putting one in a headlock. This weekend there were protests clashes between the black lives Matter Movement and the blue lives Matter Movement, but again, as we move forward, mayor bill de blasio is telling people despite the tension remaining high twin police and the public, the city has come back from worse befor tonight. And tonight in new orleans, police said 9yearold is dead after being shot in the head. Two teenagers were also wounded in that same shooting. The victims were approached on foot by at least one suspect who opened fire on them. No information has been released about a motive or possible suspect in the troubleshooting. Heres the white house may be trying to send a message, denying a request for federal dollars to help minnesota rebuild following weeks of looting, arson, and destruction in minneapolis and st. Paul. Hundreds of buildings were decimated after the death of george floyd in the protests that followed as some police say they were forced to abandon their posts and told to stand down. As progressive minneapolis troubles to rebuild, and Vice President bidens campaign is actually adding staffers to traditionally blue minnesota, which Hillary Clinton won in 2016. President trump says that the summer of violence will give come november. Cities that are liberally run, i call them radical lib and get they will go and march on areas and rip everything down in front of them. If thats what you want for our country, you probably have to vote for sleepy joe biden. Shannon for analysis, we are joined now by fox news senior political analyst brit hume. Good evening. Hi, shannon. Shannon okay, so were waiting to see how this plays out with voters. The atlantic though thinks its not going to be a good combination for the president , the headlines terms america is slipping away. There is some headline as hes trying to assemble a Winning Coalition with the dwindling number of sympathetic white voters. They say the makeup is not going to help them. Americans today are far more racially diverse, less christian, better educated, more urbanized, and less likely to be married. Almost all of these changes complicate trumps task in trying to rally a winning Electoral Coalition behind his alarm against marauding angry mobs, fascism and the violent mayhem weve seen in streets of cities run by liberal democrats. How do you think the whole situation affects the election come november . Well so far it seems to be helping former Vice President biden. Hes ahead in the bowling nationally, which is less important than the lead he holds in the key swing states. So if we are to believe the polling, trumpets trailing and we are seeing also at the same time in the polling weve seen on such things as black lives matter suggests that its enjoying quite broadbased widespread majority support. Thats despite the violence of the president has talked about, that despite this poisonous atmosphere in the cancel culture and the rest of the things that weve seen in our streets. And i think im a little skeptical of the polls. I wonder whether people in this climate are either unwilling to talk to pollsters at all, or whether theyre willing to tell pollsters the truth about how they feel about any matters that implicate the issue of race. I dont i cant i cant prove that, that the polls are off, but i cant also i can also easily believe that people look at this violence and vandalism and rioting and looting and the tearing down of statues of people who include, you know, abraham lincoln, and ulysses s. Grant and others and that they approve of that and then of course on top of that you have this cry on the left to defund the police. Joe biden says hes prepared to redirect funds away from the police. Thats defunding. So i really wonder when all is said and done here at the polls will stay the way we have been. Shannon Victor Davis Hanson has a thoughtprovoking piece where he talks about this complaint the other direction. For now, some swing voters are in paralyzed despair. They believe in blm, antifa, the media, the left, the university, the corporations, the military, silicon valley, and wall street perhaps they will put an end the question is if voters think if we dont trump come in there because theyve been raising, that things will calm down and maybe voters were fighting saying that their best strategy. Thats an interesting piece. I saw that piece, shannon. He also outlines, if im not mistaken, in that piece, an agenda that the president might choose to run on. Its a sensible agenda and it plays to his strengths. So if the president would seize it so far the president talks a lot about what hes against and so on but he really hasnt outlined a second term agenda. And you do wonder whether he thinks that he can just go into the election saying it took in the middle of a pandemic with the economy in trouble, deep trouble, but its hard to believe it can come back very much farther without everything reopening. Whether thats going to be enough. So i think theres a lot of reasons to wonder whether the president has so far at least one a particularly Effective Campaign and it seems to me likely that he needs to do better. Shannon this week and a lot of folks in the media were trying to build up this fauci versus trump kind of situation, the headline was the white house turns on fauci as trump virus fights. The president has said, hey, listen, i think a lot of it we dont agree in every thing but i think is a good man. The white house has denied accusing them of doing when it comes to fauci, trying to discredit him. What do you make of how that is being portrayed . Im not sure how seriously to take all that. I dont think theres any doubt that the president on a number of accounts is disappointed in fauci. After all, dr. Fauci said in late february, even later than that, we didnt have much to worry about and only margie said theres no reason for anybody to be Walking Around wearing masks. I admire dr. Fauci, i think hes as dedicated a Public Servant as we have but that doesnt mean hes been right about everything, hes been wrong about some things. And i think, you know, one of the things thats a feature of what we see in the media about this pandemic is its all about things like infection rates. Theres another side to the story. Theres mortality rates. Theres the question of who is being affected. How sick are they . How much of a danger it poses to children and all of the rest of that. In the public has been confronted with a lot of conflicting information on that issue and you know, a lot of it has been harmful with the president s cost because it makes things seem quite dire one perhaps they may not be, despite the rising infections, as dire as they seem. Shannon yeah, you and i and millions of other americans and people around the world read a lot about everyday and trying to separate fact from fiction us but we will continue to do so people have good information and make good choices. Brit hume, great to have it with us. Thank you, shannon. Shannon well, roger stones weekly today. The Justice Department releasing president terms or effect declaring that in addition to the 40 month prison sentence, is to your supervised release and 20,000 fine were entirely wiped away. Roger stone speaking out tonight to our sean hannity. The most important thing here is the gorgeousness of the president s act. I know there were many, many, many people who called him in an election year, dont do this. I knew he would take some shots for this, but i think most people, most fairminded people understand he saved my life and at least on paper he gave me a chance to fight for vindication. Shannon stone says he will campaign for the president s reelection this fall. A judge is left of the restraining order that prevented mary trump from promoting her upcoming book. Washingtons nfl team is changing its name under major financial pressure from corporate sponsors like fedex. As the Washington Post points out tonight, while there is considerable evidence that native american and progressive elites wanted to change, a majority possibly, a large majority of native americans had no specific problems with the name or logo. Somewhere the underlying original message for people like george floyd earlier this year but the messages now getting lost in resolving protests and cancel culture. Whats happening now, or turning into a circus. You know, we are going to spend all our time instead of talking about racial equality and Racial Justice and economic justice, we spend all our time worried about who is kneeling and who kneeling, what things are being set on buses, whats being set on jerseys. I think we are missing the point. I concern is turning this thing into a circus instead of trying to do some good stuff. Shannon lets bring a format of a and g. O. P. Congressional candidate burgess owens, good to have you with us tonight. Thank you, shannon, looking forward to it. Shannon so lets start there, charles barkley, huge nba star, sports star in his own right saying the emotional origl message was about what they do is inequality and belief in the justice of brutality for the george floyd case. The branch off into so many other places with renaming things, cancel culture, taking down statues, some people think some of thats very positive. Im of it is getting too far off the path, that we are losing the message about george floyd, his life, and others who have been in the same situation and sadly lost everything and lost their lives. What you think about where we are in this stew of different messages now . A couple things. It never has really been for the left, george floyd, this has been a good spot for them. I will say the thing about people like charles, myself, im a republican, we love our country, and we both have what i call common sense and critical thinking. I think thats what america is going to approach this. Look at this is Bigger Picture and see just what they are truly drawn towards. Its not destructiveness, its not tearing down buildings and burning up his missus, its coming together and being harmonious. I will say it is also about the redskins thing. This has been a progressive goal for years. Thats not something new. They just continue to go at it. Ask yourself what have they done for the American Indians over the last five or six years, whatever its been, they still have the most poverty, suicide, ng for those people because they dont care about the people. Just like blm, which is based on marxism, they do not really care about black lives, allblack lives, so i think americans will get it and we are just not into hatred and destructiveness. We are drawn towards freedom, opportunity, so we are going to do the right thing now that the gray is gone, we see what we really have, its a very, very dark, leftist and a very positive uplifting helpful america on the right. With President Trump. Shannon okay. So lets talk about this specific issue with regard to the redskins. Raymond, representative of the oneida unit indian nation, sayst now the racial slur is what we has to change and thats what theyre changing. There are those who are very skeptical about why dan snyder is doing this now. The Washington Post said the biggest lesson is the power of money, seeing that the protests were prompting Big Companies to speak out against racism. Afted n fedex, nike and pepsi to take a stand against the teams name. They asked other inv within a week they had more than 85 firms represented more than 600 billion in assets. We know there are those within the native American Community who found that this is a slur. If they were hurt and offended by this. Thats been going on for a long time. This piece in the Washington Post as it looks like its the financial pressure thats finally got to dan snyder, what do you think . First of all, 90 over 90 of American Indians are okay with the name. They see it as a place of pride, to be honest with you, so its never has been the American Indians. We have people like nike what were seeing, shannon, it is we are are seeing the result of decades of leftist teaching our kids that are now running the show. So nike, wherever they might be, acrosstheboard, that either they are clueless in terms of what we are fighting against with marxism or their complicit. It really is about the dollar bill. With nike and the nfl or just remember this, its all about shiner. They want to make sure they get there billions of dollars from 1. 6 billion versus the 300 Million People here in america. They know revenue is going down here and they need to get a bigger place, so if we understand the Bigger Picture, leftists care about power and money more than americans and patriotism. If we remember that we know who our enemy is and that begins the democrats, independent far less and republicans that come together and realize we are fighting for our culture, our future and our kids and that means we are on the same team and we are against those who fight against it, which is the leftists, the marxists that are now running the show in so many corporations today. Shannon yeah, listen, i like your ideas talk but independent far less, democrats and republicans working together on things that are good for the country, hard for them to find a place of agreement but we know that they can do it when its best for the people of this country. Burgess owens, thank you for being with us, we will see you again soon. Thank you, shanna, talk to you later, all the best. Shannon okay. Shannon new video tonight from the allentown, pennsylvania, police in response to protests over an officer putting his knee on a black mans neck during an arrest. The original 232nd clip shows an officer kneeling on the man outside a hospital on saturday. The new video taken from across the street shows the officer approached him after what police say was a Mental Health or drug induced episode. When officers tried to take him in the custody, they say he resisted arrest. This is a fox news alert. Authorities are asking for your help tonight for leads and tracking down the people who vandalized statues of the virgin mary in new york and boston as attacks on christian targets appear to be ramping up. Correspondent richardson has has our report tonight, hey, rich. Good evening, shannon. A police in two major American Cities are investigating vandalized religious statues, a virgin mary in boston and another in new york. In elmhurst queens, the New York Post reports a masked person spraypainted the word vital across a virgin mary statue akathisia Preparatory School in seminary. Boston police say they arrived at st. Peters parish in dorchester where another statue of the virgin mary had been set on fire. Police say someone had started the fire on the plastic flowers in the statues hands. Thats according to the boston herald. The archdiocese of boston says it plans to clean and restore the statue. Shocked. Disappointment, sadness. You know, the image of our lady is so important for us in our faith. For my heart. They dont believe, thats okay. They dont believe. But the people that believe, we would like to have that clean and neat. Boston mayor martin walsh said in the statement, any act of hatred and destruction towards religious figures is deeply saddening and unacceptable. Regardless of faith, it is our responsibility to be respectful towards others religious beliefs. And another report out of boston this weekend says residents there discovered swastikas carved into the concrete into the street. The fbis most recent public data says the Police Reported more than 7,000 hate crimes nationwide in 2018. Nearly 19 of those based on religion. Shannon. Shannon rich edson, thank you very much. Tonight, the u. S. Conference of mayors is backing a proposal by Congressional Democrats to study slavery reparations. Based on inflation and hours worked by and other measures are starting to narrow down the overall costs for most operations ranging from 12 trillion up to 6. 2 quadrillion according to a new survey. The 6. 2 quadrillion estimate announced to 151 million for descendants at a price tag for all 27 million americans come about 19 million each. Talk about it with charles locke, the author of we want equality how the quite to my cry for equality gave way to preference. Thank you for coming back. Thank you for having me. Speeones let me read this from a washington a new study from three College Professor says that the ultimate cost could be 6. 2 quadrillion, comes after trillion and 1 quadrillion has 15 zeros, the theory suggests a payment of 151 million each and as we said the tossed every person would be 18. 96 million, every american. I dont have that kind of money, i dont know about you, charles. It sounds very unrealistic, is it unfair pandering in an election or to suggest that this is something that could actually happen here in the u. S. . Well, the quick answer is yes. Talking about not having the money. Not just the u. S. , if you look at that number, i think the global gdp is like 142 trillion, that number is 43 and a half times that number, you might as well give every black person a mood and a unicorn as well. It makes no sense. I think anybody who sees this should be offended by it. Whatever your views are in reparations, i dont agree with that but i have some really smart people who do and i think that like anything else, Public Discourse if you want to have a conversation, let both sides do it like earlier guest was part of a panel, they talked about reparations, he needs to elected officials. Business people than everyone else if they want to have that conversation but i want to quickly say, whatever that conversation is, its important to know, because i know we have blm cannot be at the table. Black lives matter, as would set in conversations before, they do not have black interests at heart is plenty of people out there do. There is you need to focus on the american descendants of slaves. Other people who really care about whats going on a black communities. Those of the people you need to contact, not black lives matter. Shannon let me ask you about that because both you and burgess brought that up and they say that is the entire mission of the organization. We know that if you go online, you read their statements, their position, things that theyve advocated for, they are not hiding from them. Is a lot in there you may disagree with, but they say they are the ones who have raised this to the level that we are even having the conversation to be talking about the value of their lives. Without a doubt you give them credit for the porsche in the spotlight, without a doubt. But you cant discount youre being fair, but you can say i get that they say this other stuff. Nothing on their site is black. When you interview them, you see them on the different shows, they talk about marxism, they talk about my number one goal is to get rid of trump. People who truly care about the black community, you bought an interview them, they may not like trump, they may like obama, however. But what they say is this is what the black Community Needs to move forward and we will talk to anybody who is in position of power to get what we want. You look at what the Hispanic Community did the other day, trump, and the black community, thats a big site between those forcing i dont care with this man stands for, hes the guy in seat, government tax dollars, lets go get what we deserve another people are saying no, lets sit on our hands. They are not saying anything thats actually going to help the community. This is clear. You cant discount what theyre saying. What theyre saying outside of police brutality, theyre not saying anything else but if you get back to this, theres trouble 41 million in the study, they are not 41 million youre including people who i know, right. Who have been here five or ten years from ghana and just became citizens last year, but they werent how do you draw that line . Shannon well, the studies and conversations will continue and when it comes to black lives matter, again, theyre not hiding what their positions are on a number of things if you want no more, check them out, read our information and see if it lines up with your own personal opinions on these very hot button issues. Charles love, great to have you, thank you. Thank you. Shannon all right, how the pandemic is reshaping the president ial election, even in red states like texas. Recent polls show Vice President joe biden making had was in the south, possibly leading in texas. His coronavirus magma difference . Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is a Fox News Contributor and joins us live to discuss, good to have you back. Thank you very much, shanna, great to be back with you. Shannon all right, we want to put some of these polls. These are real clear politics averages in the number of key red states. Showing the former Vice President with a lead according to the polls that compiled in a number of these battleground states up in florida, basically tied in arizona and texas and President Trump leading in georgia, but not a number of states are starting to really struggle with coronavirus. Joe biden is trying to make the case that hes better equipped to handle it. Do you think that is swaying independents and some of these key voters were very worried . I cant imagine that people somehow believe joe biden would be better able to handle the coronavirus. My goss, he cant handle an iphone. Its pretty evident that he struggles with the most rudimentary things of the world and i think theres a lot of frustration and you always take frustration out on whoever the mayor, the governor, the president is. Its just the way it works. So theyre some of that going on. But i cant imagine that there is a serious feeling out there in the heartland of america that joe biden is prepared to manage a real crisis. If you look back at his career, 50 years, hes really never had that significant of a result of anything hes done other than plagiarizing other peoples wo work. So i just i know the polls are an important part of things, but they are a snapshot, and i trust them about as much this year as i did four years ago, which wasnt very much. Shannon okay. Well, the former Vice President continues to point at dr. Fauci, theres been a lot of chatter this weekend over the white house forcing fauci out. The president is that i respect the guy, i like them, we dont agree on everything, but the former Vice President tweeting tonight we shouldnt have to beg this president to listen to the experts and thats the case hes making. I will listen to the experts, this president is not listening to his own task force, so how do you rebut that . Its nonsense to say hes not listening to the task force. Hes been listening to them. The amp limited virtually everything they asked for, but i do think joe biden needs to remember that nobody elected dr. Fauci to anything. His information is very valuable, we should respect it, we should take heart in it, but at the same time, the president s job is not just to simply say what do a few scientists believe, and theyve been wrong. Remember and i know you do also so that dr. Fauci originally came out and said this is not going to be a big outbreak, its not going to be that frightening. While, three weeks later, its going to end the world. He first said lets dont wear masks, its dangerous to wear masks. If your where a mask you could really be doing damage to yourself. Now, youve got to where mask and if you dont, youre going to kill grandma. So theres been so much information that has changed medically. Think its a little unfair to say, well, its the president s fault. No, the president has taken to heart the information that hes received. I think more than a lot of people may have expected him to, but ultimately hes got to look at the big picture of decisions, how much is this affecting the Mental Health of americans, how much is it affecting our economy and peoples capacity to live a normal life. All of those things are important. And shannon, something i wish people would recognize, hear people say i think the governors to demand and force people to wear masks. I think the better approach to leadership is to modeling the behavior, explaining Good Behavior and yet ultimately trusting that people are going to make decisions based on what they trust about what the government has told them. So if the government wants them to wear masks, give them good information, and let them make that decision. I dont mind wearing one, but i dont want telling me what ive got to do. None of us do. Shannon well, and we see that people when they get conflicting information off and lose confidence in what theyre being told, so we try to keep up as we learn more factual information and provide that to folks so they can make good decisions. Governor, looking forward to your mask next time, thanks, governor. Thanks, shannon. Shannon more news next. Mon pizzas here. Whoa is that shaq . Shannon more latenight protests in portland, Jonathan Hunt is digging into one of the groups report of the responsible for at least some of the unrest. Hello, jonathan. Good evening, shannon. For some 40 days and 40 nights now portland has been gripped by protests that have frequently turned violent. With both protesters and police blaming each other for that violence. On saturday night a 26yearold protester was hit in the head by some sort of impact munition, meaning a beanbag round, rubber bullet or sponge bullet, fired from lawenforcement lines. He is in serious condition in a local hospital right now. Videos posted on social media showed him kicking some sort of smoke or gas canister away from himself in the moments before he was hit. But did not appear to show him involved in any violent protes protests. Portland courts have restricted local police from using crowd control munitions against nonviolent protesters. But federal agents are not restricted in the same way. The department of Homeland Security has sent officers to help protect buildings like the federal courthouse, which is been a frequent target of protests. Every night we see violent, violent criminals trying to break down, trying to get into that federal courthouse. A federal courthouse is where law and order takes place and we have again, violent criminals shooting commercial style fireworks, molotov cocktails into that courthouse. Among the many loosely formed groups involved in the protest, according to the reporting of the Seattle Times is the Pacific Northwest youth liberation front. With members say they are anticapitalist and antifascist. They have been accused by portland mayor ted wheeler of blatant criminal violence and last night via twitter, the man appealed to all sides to come together to move our city forward in peace so that we can begin the necessary work of rebuilding, reforming, protecting our community from a Global Pandemic and dismantling systemic racism. We must end this nightly violence in portland, lives are at stake. But shannon, with the police force that feels under siege in the protest movement that feels it is utterly justified in facing down those police officers, peace seems like a distant process in portland.
