They dont want to ever have a presence several city blocks. Blaming democrats and their policies for what is going on now. We have to hold the establishment in various cities accountable. In the protest movement on capitol hill. What is carried out by mayor jenny durkin and no surprise that tens of thousands of people in seattle are calling for her resignation. I can tell you the only thing that went awry day after day its the first protest may 30th was the police under orders to the Democratic Party establishment and may or durkin. It was the police making things going awry. All right, we will take you inside the autonomous zone, somebody on the ground at the scene with abandon precinct but first we take you to White House Correspondent kevin corke with the president s latest response to what i was going down in seattle, good evening. The president has been seriously critical of the mayors handling of the chaz zone, capitol hill autonomous zone in the citys downtown area. Its been quarantined off to the police and operating as its very own space. But to hear seattles mayor tell it, that is no big deal. We have a summer of love, four blocks in seattle that you saw pictures of that is more like a block party atmosphere. It is not an armed takeover or military. President trump seems to strongly disagree. He said on twitter, seattles mayor say about the takeover city is a summer of love. The liberal dems dont have a clue. The terrorist burning and pillaging our cities and they think it is just wonderful, even they must have the takeover now. I saw her break down my saw her leave, i saw her absolutely with no control and i saw her make a lot of bad decisions, including, dont do anything to affect anybody. Meanwhile the president was asked what he is looking for in terms of Police Improvements and he said listen, i dont like choke holds, but i also want to see compassionate strong Law Enforcement. Meanwhile the president heads to west point tomorrow to give commencement to 1100. Second lieutenant and he does so with tension with some former and current top military. He has been criticized by james maddox, john powell, and he has welldocumented disagreements with defense secretary mark esper and even had to watch his general millie for watching over to st. Johns and what some fear with a political improvement of the president s walk over. All of that said, the president is still full steam ahead and ready to celebrate the long gray line. The ceremony will mark his first address to the graduates at west point. Now in the senate in new york you are not supposed to have more than 150 people collectively at a graduation. You still have to have distancing but it is important to known this, shannon, tomorrows event will divide that directive. Keep in this in mind it is a military base to west point is not bound to the rules. We will have live coverage right here on fox but for now back to you. Shannon sure will, kevin, have a great weekend. You too shannon. Shannon one week from tonight we cover the president s first rally in more than three months in tulsa, oklahoma. There is plenty of criticism that the trump rallies are more dangerous than social justice protest where violating social distancing guidelines themselves. Both sides of the stories from Leland Vittert or, hey, lee lynn. This brings up some serious questions about the message from politicians about Public Health because based on their statement, it appears some politicians believe your susceptibility to the coronavirus at an event depends on the political views shared at that event. We are going to defeat the radical socialist. The president s rally a week from tonight. The democrats have dire warnings. He will have a rally. Hes going to have a rally. And he doesnt wear a mask. I mean, come on. Biden possible vp pick val demings the president s plan to hold rallies in florida and elsewhere as we experience a resurgent in covid cases its irresponsible and selfish. That was thursday and on monday she tweeted a picture of herself, i joined a healing and hope rally to speak with the communities and none of the people pictured including herself wearing a mask. Bernie sanders tweeted saturday congratulations to all who are out on the streets today peacefully protesting. Together we will defeat trump. He worries about the health of those supporting the president by attending the rnc in august tweeting he is a threat to the country and must be defeated. Who is excited to . The trump supporter who attend friday must agree not to sue if they contract the coronavirus. A rally to me is a celebration. And logically, it would have looked wrong. Perhaps a bit of good news for anyone protesting or rallying. 1 of seattle protesters tested positive for the coronavirus after weeks in the streets. Today the cdc said that guidelines do not endorse but everyone, shannon should still wear a mask. All right, leland, thank you very much for digging into that. So if you are wondering what the original residents of the socalled capitol hill autonomous zone and think about the new neighbors and what is going down, well, check this out. I live on capitol hill for 30 years. The amount of graffiti, the amount of trash, the lack of respect for the Small Businesses breaks my heart. How much longer is everybody going to stay in this area . Im not the leader so i cant answer the question that im not making a decision on. Every Single Person here has their own mission. Shannon well a couple of confrontations, one between the police and the other between black lives matter and the occupiers of the chaz. Appeared in the doorway of the east precinct station where heckled and may have been pepper spray used but according to one local reporter on the screen, black lives matter supporters showed up to support the police and complained the occupiers are now hijacking the blm message and they were booed for that. [boos] not everybody will have the same opinion. You have taken the meaning away. Check this out. Im not done talking, boy. Shannon blm eventually gave up trying to talk to them. The next inside the chaz, he joins us, leo how are you tonight and what is new. Im doing well, shannon, thanks for having me. What i can tell you about being inside the zone today is that right now, really trying to get together to really look at what is next. Now that they have pulled the area around the east precinct for almost a week now. They are discussing possibly renaming the zone because they said that they didnt really vote on it and chaz came about. But one of the speakers said hes unafraid. President trump potentially sending in the military. And the crowd responded with some vulgarities aimed at the president. And so he said that he said things could get dangerous if the president decides to bring in the federal government to bring the area back under government control. He said that they will have to decide for themselves whether or not want to be on the way if it comes to that. So we heard one resident there just a few minutes ago saying, listen ive never seen so much disrespect and trash and graffiti. We have Small Businesses and many of us have lived here for decades. And they dont sound too thrilled about what is happening here. The mayor says it is a acceptable like atmosphere. She also said that spirit of the president doesnt understand whats happening for the box of the city. And for decades been a place for selfexpression and they are having movies, snacks, free food, stepper kids to do. How do those two things with what things upset residents and as the mayor said have a summer of love here. So what i can tell you, there is actually a lot of support in the local community. Right now what we are seeing them a lot of food donations given. One of the nearby nightclubs was actually a stashing point for a lot of supplies. They were bringing them out to stage further incidents on the zone. There was one resident talking to the occupiers, asking them what the next steps were and that he was generally supportive of what they were doing. But obviously, they had a lot of questions what exactly autonomous zone mean because they literally live inside of the zone. So it is kind of a mix really. And so based off of that one individual, he said the neighbors were talking to each other. Again they were generally supportive of the idea. It is a matter of what they were planning on doing about it. I can tell you again because of the lack of decisive leadership in the zone, they are still trying to figure it out. One individual addressed the crowd today saying he believes they are not ready to hold the area if the police to side to move in today or tomorrow. Shannon well we heard from the police chief who said, listen we didnt want to give up the precinct. They went back to visit it. She said she is worried the Response Time to people calling for help in that area have tripled. She has real concerns that the police can get to people who need help. They didnt intend to implant in that area. Really quick before you go, the visit with the police did you know about it, and are they trying to move back in . Yes, so obviously, they didnt want to give up the precinct. All of this has been decided in similar to what we saw in minneapolis with the third precinct when i was there. The Minneapolis Police were holding that area until the marriott there mayor and the exact same thing, they didnt want to give up the precinct but the leadership inside City Government decided to give it up. So yes, it does seem like they are trying to fill out what their intentions are and how they will respond in case they do come back. So i can say that there are some Police Officers in these precinct. Theyve been in there since thursday. So it is kind of a wait and see. They are trying to see with the city leadership is going to allow them to see if they can come back into the area. Shannon all right, julio, thank you for being willing to go to the different cities and reports on the ground so we know what is going on. Good to see you. Thank you. Shannon all right, inspired by the seattle autonomous zone, a heckle of demonstrators in asheville to set up Autonomous Community on the steps of the tennessee capital. Now they set up according to reporters, standing in solidarity with the seattle occupiers and declaring a society free of Law Enforcement. One problem Tennessee Republican governor said Tennessee Law expressly prohibits camping and not designated as a camping area and that law will be enforced. We will watch that appeared brandnew in our efforts to defund the Biggest Police department information. Plans for the reform push for nationwide most swiftly in the epicenter of the movement in minnesota. Correspondent alex hogan with the latest for us tonight, good evening, alex. Good evening my shannon, here in new york city at the city council found a way to carve off 1 billion off the nypd 6 billion budget for the 2021 fiscal year. This after weeks of protest calling for transformative change. Police reform sweeping the nation. The bill honors breonna taylor, nonnormed 26yearold emergency room tech who died after being shot eight times by the police in her apartment. A rallying cry, this movement has been save your name. A profound sense of hope that i now signed this legislation, which writes Breonna Taylors name into law and into the history of the city in this country forever. On top of police reform, some cities are the need with officers in schools. Charlottesville, virginia, and denver, colorado, are now one pushing to not have them all together, shannon. Kentucky removing a confederacy president , Jefferson Davis from the State Capitol building. In washington cec, nancy pelosi to remove several statutes from the nations capital. Questions about her own familys complex history on the issue. She breaking news Trace Gallagher is on the case tonight. Hey, trace. Shannon, good evening this is not the first time nancy pelosi has called for 11 confederate statues to be removed from the halls of congress. It is the second time. Back in 2016 after the violent protest involving White Nationalist in charlottesville, virginia, pelosi asked then House Speaker paul ryan to remove the statutes. But critics wonder why during close his first tenure as House Speaker 20072011 she never called for the statues to be removed. It is notable that pelosis latest stature demand came on the same day President Trump said he would not consider renaming military bases named after confederate figures. Something pelosi also. You listen to who they are and what they said. And then you have the president make a case as to why ebay should be name for them. He seems to be the only person left who doesnt get it. The House Speaker says she gets it, but she has never as far as we can find addressed the fact that her late father thomas was the mayor of baltimore in 1948, he oversaw the dedication of a monument to confederate general Stonewall Jackson and robert e. Lee. At the time, Mary Dalessandro said should be inspired by the two generals. Today, the Veterans Group would not consider general jackson and lee as inspiring, in fact they consider them terrorist and equate naming military bases after them to naming military bases after usama bin laden. Nancy pelosis father might be surprised by comparison, but then todays democrats are not yesterdays democrats and certainly not yesteryears democrats. Shannon. Shannon Trace Gallagher in l. A. , thank you very much, Trace Gallagher. The statues come down but the flag comes out. Protesters vandalized Christopher Columbus and miami. So Downtown Business and a new group in response calling it the citizens coalition. The first order of business draping an American Flag over the damage statue. Protesters in seattle continue to occupy the block autonomous zone tonight as businesses and cities across the country must decide how or even if to try to rebuild after being ransacked. New york post columnist john horwitz puts it this way something horrifying is happening to the American World sense. The plain evidence of one oh size and the form of wanton destruction is overlooked. In favor of offering some generalized support for the cause. Lets discuss with princeton jurisprudence Professor Robert george. Professor, welcome back good to see you. Thank you, shannon, its great to be back on the show. Shannon i wanted to read your tweets which is interesting and sparks this conversation. If someone wants to give you a reason that joining the cause, listen to his argument and critically discuss his merit. If he believes you to accept his ideological dogwood or shimming in his rituals, dont give an edge. Professor, im hearing from a lot of people who feel like whether they try to stay neutral or quiet or out of the topic, that is being used against them as well these days. Because shannon come america is the worlds greatest experiment. In all of history of the greatest experiment the republican governor with liberty. For that experiment to succeed and not feel it is critical to maintain our Civil Liberties freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion and so forth. That is the responsibility of all of us. That means we are required to seek the truth and speak the truth as best as we understand the truth. That requires that we have courage. Courage to speak our minds and not be bullied into silence. Certainly not allow ourselves to be intimidated into saying things we dont leave. There are plenty of people prepared to threaten us if we say the wrong thing where we dont say what they want us to say. Our obligation only to ourselves and like character and conscience but to this great experiment and liberty, republican government is to speak the truth as we see the truth. Not to be afraid, not to be bullied. Shannon here is what senator tom cotton said and sort of a warning to everybody out there enforcing this right now. If you think it is just limited to statues or tv shows, you would be wrong. It is what could be coming soon for any of you. Shannon or the people currently enforcing what is okay and what is not okay as far as the police. Yes, it is a big problem. People will have to stand up to the bullies. They will find my shannon that bullies are cowards. They always are appear they get their way when people capitulate to them and yield to them. But when people stand up and exemplify some courage it is the beginning of the end for the bully. Again i cant stress the importance enough of saying it is not just for our own sake, for our own selfrespect that we need to stand up and speak the truth. And listen to other people willing to engage in argument, willing to consider another persons point of view. It is an obligation not only for but also to maintain this rare, precious thing in all of history. Selfgovernment, republican government, government not only of the people which all government is for the people, even the government of but by the people, by the people, and that means it begins with speaking the truth out loud as we best understand it. Shannon i want to read you something quickly. It is inevitable redemption happens but in that space before the comeback, the best tool remains for the court of Public Opinion to demand apologies and utilize social media for accountability to set a rubric for engagement. The tor the title of the articl, can you give us a final word . Yes i can about that. What you see all over the country, people apologizing, confessing to since they did not commit, engaging with the Chinese Communist coal struggle sessions. This is reprehensible. And people who do it should not be praised. Quite the contrary. Our heroes are the people who stand up and speak the truth out loud and refused to be bullied and intimidated. As i said we should be prepared to listen to another persons argument, but we should never permit ourselves to be bullied. Shannon i do think there have been a lot of conversations the last couple of weeks. I think for all of us to have an open mind and may consider where we may have been wrong about something as healthy but as you said we have to draw the line when it comes to corporate principles. Professor come always good to see you think you. Thank you. Shannon do all slogans matter equally . That is next in night court. You are the u wa jury free of stuff you dont want. One a day Natural Fruit bites. A new way to multivitamin. Excuse me. Uh. Do you mind. Being a motour . What could be better than being a motour . The real question is. Do you mind not being a motour . I do. For those who were born to ride, theres progressive. Little things. Can become your big moment. Thats why theres otezla. Otezla is not a cream. Its a pill that treats plaque psoriasis differently. With otezla, 75 clearer skin is achievable. Dont use if youre allergic to otezla. It may cause severe diarrhea, nausea or vomiting. Tell your doctor about your medicines, and if youre pregnant or planning to be. Otezla. Show more of you. Shannon this in a fox news will are under fire for planning to hold the first rally in months in tolls have. The president we are told will change the date tweeting a short while ago out of respect for this holiday in observance of this important occasion and all that it represents i have therefore decided to move the rally to saturday, june 20th in order to honor these requests. So the move tonight by the white house. That rally will be saturday instead of next friday. And to time for night court, we have stories presented to you. The jury for your consideration. When washington, d. C. , mayor, a huge moral black lives matter with yellow letters on 16th street, couple of blocks in front of the white house, she was hailed as a hero. Others think she has gone far enough. But now she has a dependent peer of a group of activists claiming she is violating the First Amendment by showing preference to a colt orthodoxy. Tonights general counsel for the National Center for life and liberty they begins. And it assistant attorney general, john, welcome to see you both. Thank you shannon. Thank you shannon. Shannon exhibit a, john, the mayor tweeted this black lives matter is a place for healing and strategizing protest but think it to the artist dpw employees and resident demonstrators fighting for change together we stand to say out loud, hashtag black lives matter. So she has allowed this painting on the streets that these folks are challenging. I think the plaintiffs have a good case and they should win. Once the city opens up part of a space for people to speak, they cant start discriminating and letting some people in and keeping some people out because they disagree with the viewpoint or content of the speech. So once d. C. Starts saying, if you are for black lives matter you can paint murals or have demonstrations here, the city has to allow people with other viewpoints to exercise their free speech rights also was on the same place. Otherwise, picking and choosing what it likes and dislikes and the free speech clause prohibits. Shannon that is what these folks are arguing. Exhibit b, washington time squares, she writes this, the three plaintiffs asked the court to alternate other banners down the street, so she is not showing favoritism to a group, and blue lives manner and the second banner, is green lives manner and the third and final banner requested is all lives matter. Shannon, this is a garbage lawsuit, they are trying to make political speech into a religion and what they are saying is black lives matter is somehow religion when it is just a political viewpoint. Government Officials Say they can say we are proLaw Enforcement or concern how people are being treated. All of that is protected under immunity. I think the plaintiffs in this case are torturing the facts to create a lawsuit that doesnt exist. Shannon and want to ask about something about a lot of folks are saying ive seen this already and its about liability waivers. Now going to be part of hair salons, jams, theme parks and more. Colleges and universities are talking about this. Rallies, political revenge we have to sign a waiver. Cbs has it this way, activities like skydiving, liability waivers are expected to become commonplace and ordinary settings where social distancing is a challenge that includes theme parks, life events, beauty salons and doctors offices. So a quick take from both of you on that. David come i will start with you. Shannon, they worked with thousands of churches and we are highly recommending these waivers be posted, put on websites. What we want people to do is intelligently assumed the risk. If they come to a public event whether a theater, church, sports event, they need to be able to make the decision and if they are assuming the risk, they will not hold the host responsible for covid19. There is a lot of information in these waivers are a great idea. Shannon gentlemen, what do you think . With a stick . I dont think they will make much of a difference. I think people know, more importantly, how are you going to prove that you have covid at paris line, or that restaurant . I think mostly business, follow whatever the state and local guidelines are and you will be okay. Yeah, some of them are very clear before you ever get in the door, mask, hand sanitizing and they will tell you what they were doing in an attempt to prevent liability also so. David and john, thank you for being with us tonight. Thanks, shannon. Always an honor and appreciate your leadership. Shannon Law Enforcement officers across the country say morale is lower than ever and calls for drastic changes in the way they do their jobs and harassment while they are out there too. Lucas tomlinson takes a look from the polices point of view. Congratulations to build a sign. Governor cuomo wasting no time overhauling you new yorks finest. The legislature has quickly passed the forms in the nation. President trump himself. This has happened. So you have to be careful. With that being said to come i think it would be a very good thing that should be entered. Across the country more protesters and politicians demanding change. But many cops are pushing back. The head of chicagos powerful Police Union Says now is not the time to defend the police. The politicians are making it that much worse. The mayors press conference say it was all about a player to smolder and tie out. Did indeed abandon their responsibilities. And their obligations and their oath to serve and protect. We should all be discussed at. At least 600 Law Enforcement officers injured in the wake of George Floyds death, some killed. Including david dorn and Homeland Security officer in oakland. She wants justice for all. There has been so much talk regarding george floyd and his family. Which is fine, however, i think at the same time, my brother should be recognized as well. Houstons police chief agrees. Communities of color and poor communities need us more, need good policing more in the communities and quite frankly, it is not left us policing. It is disheartening, demoralizing. And you are constantly demonizing the media. Our brothers and sisters. Ive been on here for many years, the citizens of chicago. President trump spoke to david dorns widow last week. So far all is calm and peaceful in the nations capital, shannon. Thank you. Im saying that because you stood up for the word of god. And as believers, as the church, we have to pray for our president and have his back. When he raised that buyable up after those folks burnt that church, we are in a spiritual warfare. Shannon that was evangelist business professor and nfl safety jack brewer after of the president restoring, and a roundtable in dallas talk about keeping the faith. In the discussion for the search of racial reconciliation. Lets continue that, jack brewer, thank you for being with the spirit thank you so much for having me, shannon. Shannon i want to ask you about breaking news we got in a few minutes ago. The president is tweeting about the decision to move his rally that was scheduled for tulsa next week. A previously scheduled for june 19th, a big deal but unfortunately however this would fall on a holiday. Many africanamerican friends and supporters reached out to suggest we consider changing the date. Out of respect for the holiday, that is what they are going to do. I heard from a lot of people too, jack concerned that either the administration didnt recognize the significance of that day, and oversight but they hoped he would reconsider and it sounds like he has. It is a total oversight. I grew up in texas. We were at the state that actually receive the information that we were free. Back in the 1800s come i think it was 1865 and you know it is near and dear to my heart. We celebrate all of my life and i think the president had a good thing. I dont think he was intentional, actually a know it was not intentional. A lot of people around the country are learning about what that is pure that is a great thing for our country. I call on the president to name this a national holiday. I think the entire nation should be celebrating june 20th a victorious day for our nation. Shannon i want to ask about the ongoing conversation about supporting the president. You were quoted that you said to him at one point, he was the first black president. You said a lot of things that are controversy old. Does it bother you at all, terry crews, we covered his case this week and also former Football Player and famous actor told he is not black enough simply to suggest that we all need to sit down and admit our wrongs and try to reach across and make things right. You know, it is about reconciliation at the end of the day. You know, i have a lot of my brothers and sisters who i call black no matter what their skin color is. Had scan of brass and hero pool. So in my eyes, i think President Trump should be credited for doing so much for africanamericans, going against a systematic oppression that we face. When you look at what he did with criminal justice might go into those prisons all the time around the nation. And so i have to give him credit. My family members are locked up for 1020 years and because of broken criminal justice system. We will have to see what the president is doing for education, historical black colleges with billions of dollars and no president before him ever went that far and care that much for young africanamerican kids growing up. So you have to give credit where credit is due. We have to quit divisiveness. You may not like what he says but based on his policies whom he is the president and his job is to pass policy to help our kids and help our future. Shannon you mentioned yesterday faith is a big part of this but how so . We have to get the peer of god back in our country. We are watching our kids. We see that the things kids are doing, listening to music they shouldnt be listening to. All liberal progressive leaders have done what they can to push god out of the schools, to push god out of her speech. So we have to get back to the peer of god. We have to get back to really bringing the country and around love. God is love. Is our savior. Shannon as you said to come if we can see each other in the image of god and respect each other, at least from that starting point is a good place to start. I hope we can continue the conversation and we wish you the best to try to do the same. God bless you, shannon, thank you for having me. Shannon thanks, jack a 6yearold to inspire the rest of us to reach out and help a stranger.
