"the greg gutfeld show" takes it from here. >> fox news alert. without a vote on democrats' massive $1.7 trillion spending package after republican senator mike lee proposes and an amendment to keep title 42 in place, watching fox and friends first. >> ashley strohmier in for carley shimkus. congress cutting it very close to a government shutdown at the end of tomorrow. republicans say democrats would rather take a bill that dramatically increases military spending and fund the government and vote for order security. >> this bill full of democratic priorities but nothing to protect the border. quite to the contrary, it contains language undermining border security. i insisted we had one amendment come up or down vote, whether to preserve title 42. because title 42 is the one thing is that in between us and utter chaos. we already have total chaos, so bring us to utter chaos of it expires which is about to. all i want is an is an up-and-down vote. chuck schumer and the democrats are terrified of an up-and-down vote. they want absolute pandemonium and chaos on the border and they are terrified of this vote because they will lose, as they should lose. i'm standing firm, demand an up-and-down vote. if they don't give us the up or down vote, this'll be very difficult for them and it'll probably cost them the omnibus. >> the bill, the large one, unveiled days before the funding deadline and it includes $575 million for family planning, 410 million to reimburse middle eastern countries for their border security. $55 million to restore the salmon, and a million to the michelle obama walking trail in georgia. >> while that battle goes in washington, migrants are overwhelming el paso and some residents say they can't step out of their front door without seeing a sea of migrants. >> lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are begging biden to get down there. kevin corke joining us live at the latest. >> good morning to you. to say things are at a breaking point in el el paso, texas, wih respect to illegal immigration is apparently a gross understatement. the problem in fact has become so acute that the city has resorted to opening up its convention center to house hundreds of migrants and perhaps even more as of last, arctic weather dips towards the borderlands. local residents say migrants are now showing up at their front doors, "a fire pit, they jump over and they sit there and huddle. and the scary thing is there's a lot of people behind there, you don't know." things are so awful that democrats on capitol hill are beginning to distance themselves from the administration's border strategy. from henry cuellar, "the you should immediately and foment policy for asylum-seekers where they request for relief in an orderly pathway and there should be strong consequences, including removal, for those who don't follow proper procedures." in case you're wondering about the numbers, they are stunning. compare 2020 when there were 40 or 58,000 plus migrant encounters. so far this year? more than 2.3 million. much more, dhs still hasn't released the encounter numbers for november. >> i share your feeling of frustration and the need of more urgency and i want to see that starting with the white house. >> at the president should be here, you think? >> what a speech. it's really bad news for putin that zelenskyy got this huge cheer from congress. i predict zelenskyy will get that additional aid and we saw a very strong support from biden saying we'll stand with you as long as it takes. this was really a triumph for zelenskyy both in congress and the white house. >> president zelenskyy jokingly said he'd asked for more patriot missile's but i think he was pretty serious but listen to this exchange be it want to get your reaction. >> what's going to happen after patriots are installed? after that, i will send another signal to president biden that we would like to get more patriots.
