One including a written statement and then the new accusations, a fourth accusation turns out to be an num anonymous allegation senator gardner. Kavanaugh assaulted a woman when he was drunk. Kavanaugh denying that. There was for a time a fifth accuser, that has been debunked. The accuser recanted it involved a boat in rhode island. Now lets get to the hearing. Dr. Ford as you mentioned and dr. Kavanaugh will have questions. The republicans bringing in the veterans sex crimes prosecutor. We have excerpt from dr. Fords testimony. I thought bret was accidentsly going to kill me. Kavanaughs attorney Beth Wilkerson speaking ought about the allegations had this to say. If they thought the allegations had any merit they should have come forward before and there would have been plenty of time to do what you want to do. You have to question the motive when they come forward with the most salacious allegations the day before the hearing. Dr. Christine ford has said there was zero chance that this is a case of mistaken identity. She knows who Brett Kavanaugh is. Brian its interesting because these guys are not coming out and saying i assaulted her. They are say i had an encounter with heir. Senator grassley talked to her monday. Talked to them again on tuesday. Steve their lawyers. Brian to see what the story is. That has to factor in at some point in the testimony today amongst the 11 republicans, primarily, perhaps. Ainsley if you look at the polygraph test she originally said remembers four boys at the party, Brett Kavanaugh, mark judge and pj smith. They all deny any of this happened. She cant remember the fourth boy that was there she said her female friend was there too lee land inghanm. She denies know Brett Kavanaugh and any information on this attack. Dr. Ford took a polygraph test four boys and couple girls there the Judiciary Committee is going to be asking her about these disparities. Steve democrats are saying look at all these accusations, republicans, mr. President , have you got to withdraw his nomination and asking for more requests for more information as well, more investigations. Meanwhile, the republicans, many of them, are fuming saying these are just blatant, partisan attacks trying to keep this man off the Supreme Court. At least thats what Lindsey Graham said last night right here on the channel. So there is five allegations, varying degrees of reliability. All of them in my view here is the only thing i know is con sis tent when it comes to judge kavanaugh there are no rules, no boundaries, dlirvelg deliverables they are trying to destroy this guy. Do you really think Brett Kavanaugh is a gang rapist when he was in high school and nobody knows about it until 2018 . Saying he is the dad of a girl who witnessed Brett Kavanaugh pressing a girl against the wall. There is no name, no address and contact. Brian starr hearings when they started working together. Steve there are a number of accusations out there. The sixth accuser a man who had written a letter to the senior democrat senator from rhode island he has now recanted and said i made a terrible mistake. Im sorry did i it nonetheless the president of the United States says he is going to be listening to the accuser and mr. Kavanaugh today. Might put off the Rod Rosenstein meeting as brian said. And the president admitted that he is skeptical of some of kavanaughs accusers because he says he has been falsely accused in the past as well. They have destroyed a mans reputation and they want to destroy it each more. People are going to see that in the mid terms. When he brought up this latest accuser Julie Swetnick in college and this party was evidently when Brett Kavanaugh was in high school. She claims. Steve she graduated three years earlier from another school. Brian she never went to college actually. She claimed kavanaugh was prengt when she became a victim of one of those alleged assaults. She doesnt say at first you see the headlines and hear the story somehow Brett Kavanaugh along with his buddies were drugging women and gang raping them. Okay. Then you read the story and you find out this party had something similar going on over 10 times that she witnessed she was a victim once, sadly that she claims in this affidavit. But Brett Kavanaugh was not the perpetrator nor was his buddy mark judge. So what is the problem . Well, they witnessed it and they were part of it. Did you witness anything . No. But i have witnesses that back up my story. Steve she is accusing them, mark judge and Brett Kavanaugh of drugging girls so that he this could assault they will. Brian she does not say that in the affidavit that she has proof they did that nor did she see it. In the affidavit Alan Dershowitz who seems to know a lot about the law says this affidavit is so openended any good lawyer or defense attorney would be able to tear this thing apart in 30 seconds. Its an embarrassment to the law that anyone would file an affidavit like that filled with hearsay, filled with well, i was raped, but he didnt rape me. He was there, he saw it, where was he . There was a witness, people told me, it would happen 10 times, i went back and knew there were more rapes, even though she knew it was going back she went back. I went back to the party. Thats the problem with the affidavit that was released as avenatti goes out there and talks about himself for the next three or four hours on National Networks and you think by the end not only is avenatti not worthy the Supreme Court justice he is the worst person ever. Well, this is a disgusting smear, a very good man Brett Kavanaugh. It is really troubling to see on many levels what they are doing to brets family and his reputation. But, also what they are doing to future victims of real assault, what they are doing is using a political cudgel against a political opponent but having real life impact on future victims. This is a disgusting display by democrats that i you know, i think we are unfortunately going to see repercussions of this forever. Not only in Supreme Court nominations but our politics in general. Many people are asking now is there enough time now between now and the mid terms if they decide not to vote him in, is there enough time for republicans to bring in someone new and vote on someone else for the Supreme Court . You know, i dont think that thats going to be necessary. I think Brett Kavanaugh is going to acquit himself very well today. Up against these, just unfounded smear tactics by these outoftouch democrats. And i think that its going to be important for our base to wake up and understand what is going on and the ramifications of losing in november and we had better turn out to the polls because that is going to be the difference between the trump agenda continuing and ending. You have to wake up the people who are not as politically involved as us on the couch and you over there in the studio. So, what do you think people on the outside, who arent going to dive into these stories like we are, what do you think they are thinking right now who often have sons and daughters . Thats right. Ive got to tell you that Brett Kavanaugh, just as an example, your average personal is looking at these outlandish, just disgusting allegations of a gang rape. Look, this man was the number three person in ken starrs operation investigating the Monica Lewenski Sexual Assault of bill clinton. The clinton war machine took down every Single Person in the 1990s who was associated with that investigation and this never came out . 15 years after his high school finished. After he left high school. Closer than it is today. And he was involved in the highest sex crime allegation in modern American History and nothing came out back then. This is ridiculous. If democrats are able to win back the senate, we would have a path to blocking trump from picking any of the arch conservatives on his short list is that what we are seeing right now . I have got to tell you when i get a chance to influence potentially the next Supreme Court nominee, the gloves are going to be off here. Every a history in this country of president s replacing ideological seats with very close ideological people. So, if Justice Ginsburg or Justice Breyer were to leave, President Trump would historically replace somebody who is close ideologically, not necessarily as far as left but somebody who was more moderate or even a liberal. But the only way to find out is to question these accusers. How do you do that and not look like a bully or come off as somebody questioning somebody Sexual Assault. Thats a difficult thing. Look, there is a bunch of United States senators with a lot of different experiences both republican and democrat. But none of them have the experience of the prosecutor they are bringing in that will basically prod Brett Kavanaugh and dr. Ford in their memory, in their background, what they are able to say as fact and the what they think they believe. And that is a very important thing for the American People to see. But a seasoned prosecutor is going to know very seriously where the boundaries are. And that is very important. It is a theater, thats what this is. Brian i hope not. I have learned and listened to and i have read and i weigh that evidence with what judge kavanaugh has said throughout these hearings and what he said last night and i believe the women. No, whatever he says tomorrow it will not change my view. Ainsley she believes the women. Judge that is preposterous whatever he says tomorrow will not change my view. This is telling us that if you want judge kavanaugh to be confirmed you are going to agree with him no matter what dr. Ford says. If you dont want dr. Ford confirmed you will agree with whatever she says. Brian what about what chris coons put forward . Thats not the law. Brian is he right to say its not a court of law and thats why i feel the way i do. Hes trite say its not a court of law it is not the burden for Brett Kavanaugh to prove anything. The case has already been made for Brett Kavanaugh with respect to his qualifications. Steve right. His experience and intellect. I watched him being grilled on the constitution. He has a want to line a plus 2. 0 zero comapsd of constitutional jurisprudence which rivals Justice Scalia at that point in Justice Scalias career. He is representing a woman by the name of Julie Swetnick who essentially is telling the story that she went to 10 house parties. Ainsley there is her picture. Steve back during this time period where she saw Brett Kavanaugh and mr. Judge get girls drunk and they were. Brian drugs. Steve gang raped. The affidavit that was filed on her behalf by mr. Avenatti, Alan Dershowitz, one of the sharpest legal minds in the world, has some problems with it listen to this. That affidavit is so deeply flawed and so open ended that any good lawyer, any good defense attorney would be able to tear that apart in 30 seconds. Its an embarrassment to the law that anybody would file an affidavit like that filled with hearsay. I want to know who drafted it. I would want to know why they didnt fill in the gaps. If there are people who saw. This name them. Was she raped as she says by kavanaugh, by judge . Did he see it . Was he in the room . Why didnt if there were gang rapes like that, how did it not get to the police . Ainsley also, i was reading an article about her exboyfriend. He comes out and says after we broke up, she was threatening my family, threatening my wife and threatening to do harm to my baby at the time. Even her own friend who was there said i dont think we even knew Brett Kavanaugh that broke down. You see new allegations kind of cropping up and the real common theme here is each one when you start pressing on it. It crumbles. The ramirez one also, no actual allegation no actual inszs who will testify and say yes, and even as recently as yesterday, her lawyer going on tv saying, actually, ms. Ramirez cant say with certainty that Brett Kavanaugh is the one who did. This im going are you kidding me . They bring out a new one and some of them, you know, one of the ones yesterday was even rekanted before it was even a few hours old. Its really getting wild here. So what do you say to people who are looking at all these things and you are saying holes in these stories and you are right. But you do see a pattern. What do you say to people who say well, there is a pattern here . There is a pattern of unsubstantiated and later discredited allegations. That are being pushed forward by the democrats. Im not saying each of these people is getting in a conspiracy. Im saying every time the democrats get a whiff of anything, they are trying to bring someone forward. Push them into the limelight and its also particularly craven here because they were going for a long time on fbi investigation talking points. We need the fbi to investigate. If i were questioning her, i would want to know if she could be more specific as to the year, the time, the date, the place. What was her recollection. And then why were there not friends of hers that would corroborate what took place . Why is there so much doubt . Because what were seeing, i think, is kind of a p. R. And these folks, some of whom took Campaign Donations from harvey weinstein, palled around with bill cosby and going to jail for being a sexual predator for assaulting someone criminally. Three of them voting to refuse to move bill clinton from office for having sex with an intern right behind me in the oval office. I want everybody to see what this is about to them. This is hyper partisanship, hottie, hypocritical hapless democrats on the senate Judiciary Committee who is the president is absolutely right here to destroy a man. So he has been willing, under penalty of either perjury or lying to congress, he has been willing, again and again, to testify, so he has been waiting for 11 days. We know what both of them are going to say. Their statements are all for the public to see. I think the process has been very accommodating for very unique and unusual situation. But, everything that the left has said that they are concerned in here, getting to the truth, having her be heard, not having her be ignored and insulted. Today came out with the sworn testimony or the interviews by some in the senate with these two men who say it was them, they were there and they had sexual contact or oea assaulted. The other thing is for these gang rape allegations, i would tell that woman go march down to the Montgomery County courthouse today and file your claim. Because, as i understand it as a fully recovered attorney of many years, sex crimes have no statute of limitations in maryland. So, why is she not why didnt she years ago or why isnt she even now trying to get that prosecuted there. Is it because there is not a lot of evidence of that . And then as i read it the senate Judiciary Committee will have a vote and if when judge kavanaugh makes it out of committee, i guess when they schedule the next vote through the weekend or next week when the Supreme Court sits for its next term then we will know whether judge kavanaugh has enough vote to make it to the court. Steve sure. Before that everything is speculation. Honestly it plays into the media game. The Mainstream Media game of palace intrigue and personnel and personalities instead of principles. You heard President Trump in his own words, in his own voice last night say that this is a sham and a shame. And what they have done to a man and his wife and his children. We all talk to each other. We are all politically different. We are all very different. But we are all we are all Mainstream Media who lives here think they can run into Brett Kavanaugh and Ashley Kavanaugh and those two young girls in the local grocery store, the coffee shop. Is he skeptical of the way this process has rolled out not just in the senate Judiciary Committee in the 12th hour a man who has successfully undergone six thorough vets by the fbi. And they are thorough, trust me. Talk to everybody who has ever known you. Go through lots of papers as well as they should. He succeeded that way. No one ever came forward for 36 years. Talking about allegations of conduct as a teenager. Became a powerful man along with female law clerks and they support him. Not a scintilla, not a whiff of an allegation. And so the president is also talking about the unfairness of the process. That somebody can submit answers to 1300 written questions, produce over 1 million documents. Have 30 hours plus of sworn testimony to the same committee. And sit and have authored over 300 opinions that everybody has scoured. Over 300 opinions have that have been scrutinized over time on the d. C. Circuit. And nothing. So the president is also saying its unfair and the president is right. Guilty until proven in the because you are nominated to the Supreme Court by President Trump . Its terrible to try to shame and blame and name people merely because of who is nominated to the Supreme Court. The president is tough. Judge kavanaugh is tough. He wants to clear his name as he told your colleague, Martha Maccallum, and i hope he shows some righteous indignation today. Because i know its hard for him.
