Reporter police in new zealand confirmed 49 people are known to have died in the shooting and many of those targeted were migrants and refugees. The shooting started at 1 4 05 pm local time at two mosques in the christchurch lasting five minutes. 41 people died in one location. Witnesses saw heavily armed man dressed in black clothing and heard gunfire. Police found two explosive devices attached to a car and recovered, the Prime Minister of new zealand condemned the shootings at the terrorist attack. This is one of new zealands darkest days. Clearly what has happened here is an extraordinary and unprecedented act of violence. Reporter an australian man is linked to this attack after claiming responsibly for online. And antiimmigration manifesto, a video that attack was posted online though it has been removed. Police, one man has been charged. One person. A male in his late 20s has been charged with murder and should appear in a Christchurch Court tomorrow morning. Three other people were apprehended. One of those persons who was armed, may have had nothing to do with this incident. Reporter 20 people were injured in the shooting and rushed to the hospital. And at high alert, they dont believe theres another incident in the planning but the quiet and tolerance countries in shock. These individuals had weapons, ieds, Law Enforcement agencies, around the world, coordinating a lot of information to see if these individuals are part of a greater cell, a lot of forensics on the evidence they now have and one of the benefits of what occurred this morning if there is any benefit is they were captured alive. Better alive than dead. They are being interrogated and hopefully Law Enforcement will restrict information from them. Heather 74 pages of a manifesto we have been reading in the overnight hours and this person who wrote this asked a lot of questions. One of them, in new zealand, he was living there while planning this attack and decided this was the right community to do this. What does that say about the mentality of this person . The mentality of this person is an individual with very serious mental problems but many people with warped ideology who think they are doing things that are going to help. Where did he get the information for that manifesto . Is there a lighter cell involved in any type of terrorist planning, not only in new zealand but around the world . We are dealing with military combatants. They were dressed in military garb, obviously committed this act in military fashion. It says clearly, we are dealing with very dangerous people. Rob right now for police are saying this sounds like a white guy from australia and if you read through this manifesto it starts off, one thing i want you to remember is the birth rates must change. If we were to deport all noneuropeans from our lands tomorrow the european people would still be spiraling into decay and eventual death. Antiimmigration, he thinks white areas of the world are being flooded by muslims and has a problem with that. What else do you make of the suspect . Look at this individual advancing ideology, that is the danger, trying to send a message that white europeans are being overrun. They have to be stopped immediately. What im really concerned about is did anyone before this act was committed see something and Say Something . We find a Common Thread through most of these terrorist acts a lot of people knew a lot of things but never picked up the phone and called the police. My guess is when they do a forensic analysis on his computer, cell phones, messaging, they are going to find somebody new something down the road.
