It begins by preserving the aca individual mandate, obamacare, repeals the individual mandate, the senate, and then the house permanent corporate and individual taxes, the senate individual cuts expiring in 2025, the corporate that was permanent and then you have the house with the estate tax eliminated by 2024, the senate and the estate tax is limited but not entirely repealed and then, of course, the Child Tax Credit up to 1,600, the senate tax credit up to 2,000 and then you have mortgage Interest Deduction reduced in the house, the Senate Mortgage interest reduction, the same 7 tax brackets topping rate out at 38. 5 for corporate and 20 starting in 2019. I actually did read all of them for you there. [laughter] heather ly start with you, what do you think is the most significant difference . I think the most significant difference is the problem with senate vote, you were talk about things that were written in margins, handwritten in margins, in the middle of the dark of the night, adds for trillions to our debt and obviously is a bigger concern, fundamentally this tax reform bill raises taxes not cuts taxes for 2 out of 3 hardworking americans which im defining as hardworking americans which is really the middle class. In order to be able to avoid Government Shutdown and make sure that we are able to protect the middle class that we are having here, we really have to kind of go back and expose whats happening here and what happened really in the senate bill in the dark of night. Heather all right, lets get to ron, ron, do you disagree . Well, yeah, Hillary Clinton ran on raising taxes on the same people and on raising spending to the point where they would be higher deficits. This is the issue, is that there is there is a real point here, is that the senate bill does raise taxes on tens of millions of americans, a republican bill should raise taxes on no one. House bill is a little bit better. The problem can be easily fixed. Large Corporate Tax cut and not have the biggest ever but still have a pretty big one and make sure that every individual person gets a tax cut, the way you do that is making sure state and local deductions stay there in some form even if you cap it at 15,000 or 20,000, right now i have a 9monthold, im getting a tack cut. I know tons of people who are getting tax increases from the senate bill if thats the one that passes. The house bill needs to be advanced and then the salt deduction needs to be put in there in entirety, could be capped. Thats the way you fix it. The corporate rate could be 23 which is still a gigantic cut, this is what im saying, is that i think we give the democrats too many talking points like the ones you just heard from my colleague because we do see large corporate reductions to get the individual rates down. Make sure every single american gets a tax cut. Heather karen, suspect it im not sure what the word is, democrats are concerned so much about the debt but they werent exactly concerned about the debt before . I think if we are going talk about tax reform and we are really going to have discussion, we are are going to have to be concerned, we are talking about adding trillions. So youre talking about adding millions to the roles of uninsured, you are bringing back on which you will have to pay through Emergency Rooms and other things, tax increases, tax hike on middle class, hardworking americans, you are talking about gutting public education, its completely to your point, it is so extreme that theres nothing that it can really defend, theres really a provision for private jet owners which is not my, its not my neighbors, its not the folks that we are trying to care about here. If we have going to have tax reform, they cannot be provisions for private jet ownership. Heather let me get to ron and ron, what do you have to say about that . Here is i mean, the democrats cant just be talking about deficit and debt when the republican plans are the ones that are causing it by giving people the money back, right . And so if we want to be serious about deficits thats what we should be doing. What republicans are saying we will cut taxes and talk about budget we will look at spending reduction to create a sustainable reduction longterm, what people want, if you talk to normal everyday people they think they should keep more money and see the economy grower and the government live within means. They dont want to see Government Services slash busies takennable government. Heather people choosing not to be covered. Forcing people to buy health care, thats not exactly charity by the government, is it . Heather lets move onto next topic quickly i want to get you both to respond to this. Democrats thrive to go keep americans divided depending and angry on purpose. Oped that was written, this is a quote, i will get your response, american who is see themselves victims of American Society are likely to vote democrat therefore the Democratic Party and media cultivate victimhood among almost all american who is are not white and male, teyran. Its a shameful oped this is what is continuing to divide america. As a mom, as a family hardworking american, i can tell you the biggest thing that people want right now is not a divided nation. We had Foreign Government interfere in our elections to try to divide us. We need to rise above that and as americans come together and i think theres nobody who is root forking that than the Democratic Party. This is exactly what the federal government needs to do, federal law says that you may not have sanctuary policies that interfere with cooperation between local Law Enforcement agencies and the federal government and they are and all jurisdictions need to be complying with all federal laws in order to sif certain federal funding so the department of justice is following through on that and actually enforcing this law thats been on the books for some time now but which has not been enforced as more and more jurisdictions adopt these sanctuary policies in opposition to to the enforcement of immigration laws. Heather and to policy is aimed at helping illegals avoid deportation, do you think if this is allowed or these different cities continue to do this will they be next in terms of what happened with kate steinle . Well, absolutely. The steinle case was not isolated one. Sanctuary policies are a problem because they inevitably result in release of criminal aliens which are a small fraction of the illegal population but the ones that are the highest priority of deportation and so they put the public at risk when they send criminals back to the streets instead of home country and its important that the federal government reassert its authority to enforce immigration laws. Heather how do they do that . Well, they can start with withholding federal funds so that taxpayers are not subsidizing the reckless and dangerous policies. In addition, though, congress has legislation that the house has passed, the senate has not voted on that would address the sanctuary problem even more thoroughly and so its time for the senate to move that legislation forward to because these sanctuary policies are adopted for political reasons but they put people at risk, there are 10,000 criminal aliens who have been released by sanctuary policies who have reoffended since release all over the country.
