The republicans got 53 of the statewide vote for the state house, 54 for the state senate. 51 for the congressional race and then you had about 21 candidates in that special election for the senate that ultimately wound up with Kelly Loeffler and warnock and georgia is still a republican state. Despite what Stacey Abrams and the democrats might have you believe. Steve i have been reading that Stacey Abrams has been motivating her side of the base and she has raised at least 6 million so far for this special election. But its curious. You said that david perdue actually out performed the president. He got more votes than donald trump did. But jon ossoff actually got fewer votes than joe biden. Right. Steve the question is, erick, if joe biden is not on this particular ballot and he is not. Its between these two. Do people show up . I think republicans definitely show up. Republicans in georgia tend to have advantage in the Runoff Election they turn out better. The democrats have certainly tried mobilize themself and activate the urban corps. Upper Northern Counties outside of atlanta. Hugely republican. Always reliably turn out. They will this time. Republicans motivated to keep Chuck Schumer from being the majority leader in the senate. I read one you said you said the libertarians may actually show up and vote for david perdue because of his support for the Second Amendment. In georgia, libertarians really are a Second Amendment group. They got 2 of the vote. If they werent there david perdue would have gotten over 50 . Typically half of them wont show up. Even if half of the bib terrence show back up that puts perdue. Jon ossoff doesnt resonate outside of the area. You got to get 30 of the black vote in georgia to be competitive and ossoff couldnt poll that off. Steve lets switch geers and talk about joe biden. Tens of thousands. In the case of wisconsin, 20,000, arizona, the lead has slunk down to 12,813 and some networks havent even called that yet. None of these results have been certified yet, so the president of the United States says i want to find out everything so before i go forward, and is well see if anythings substantial enough to change the election result. If i was an elections lawyer, and i dont see enough evidence of enough fraud to turn over the election, youre going to need it in a place like michigan where youve got to really throw out 180,000 votes, but the president s got a right to challenge. Nothings been certified. Let him do what he needs to do. If something changes, do it. In georgia, i think they have to manually recount the ballots. Get rid of the suspicion. The Trump Campaign has filed lawsuits and submitted affidavits, last night Lieutenant Governor of texas dan patrick offered up to a million dollars, encouraging people to report voting fraud from anywhere in the country. He said if you know of it yourself, report it to your local Law Enforcement because thats how things like this would be uncovered. Hes putting some money there. The New York Times this morning has got an item where they contacted officials in 46 states, and they interviewed either the governor or the secretary of state, and they asked them if they had any evidence of voter fraud, ainsley. And not one of them in 46 states saw any voter fraud. Ainsley all right. Well, thats actually good news, isnt it . Because we dont want fraud. We want to be able to trust these elections. But kayleigh, with the administration, she was on last night, and she said in wayne county, michigan, alone, she held up a stack of papers when she was on tv, 234 pages of evidence of sworn affidavits, signed by notaries. She said 60 of the ballots add had the same signatures, 60 . 35 ballots no voter record but counted anyway, 50 ballots were run several times through the tabulation machines. Ronna mcdaniel said, you know, that is if this is, if they find out there is a legal that is stealing. She said stealing faith in the election process and these 70 plus million voters deserve to know that theyre not forgotten. Look, will it be enough if they find out there is anything illegal or nefarious . Probably not for a win for President Trump when you look at the numbers. But we need to know because we need to fix the problems before theres another election. And i hate to break it to you, brian, but were going to be talking about another president ial election in about three more years, if not sooner. Brian yeah. Ainsley weve got to figure out the problem. Brian yeah. Weve got to stop with the a ballot at home which means its really hard to verify those addresses. Meanwhile, lets talking about joe biden, the president elect. He was talking to foreign leaders who are calling him and hes calling them. I wonder if the fbis listening in on those conversations . I wonder if there are one president at a time . Heres what joe bidens saying will be his philosophy which he says is different from trumps philosophy. Im letting them know that americas back. Were going to be back in the game. Its not america alone. Ive had the opportunity to speak with now six World Leaders , and the response has been very wholesome, energetic. I said when we announced that the next president is going to inherent a divided country and a world in disarray. The reception and welcome weve gotten around the world from our allies and our friends has been real. I feel confident that were going to be able to put america back in a place of respect that it had before. Brian right. Well see. In south korea its mixed. Hes more popular than donald trump in south korea, but in terms of the south korean leader, he goes i know more attentions going to be given to north korea, and theyre nervous about that. Russia has not called, china has not called. I just think its such a double standard to say its okay to have conversations. In those conversations did you talk about a policy switch, maybe to germany when he talks to the german leader . Hey, dont worry about it, im not pulling too troops occupant . Is that insubordination . Meanwhile about his track record, robert gates whos been working for democrats and republicans including president obama as secretary of di defense says this, remember in his memoirs, i think hes been wrong on nearly every major Foreign Policy and National Security issue over the last four decades. I, for one, am hoping he breaks that streak because that does not give me a great sense that he has a great sense about our Foreign Policy. Steve well, joe biden, yesterday he was trying to he did not want to directly address the legal challenges and things like that. He said, look, theres only one president at a time, and hes the president right now. He said the Electoral College is going to meet in december and then certify the National Election in january. And it sounded like he was okay with that. Ainsley, its interesting because we made a lot about how the gsa has not turned over 6. 3 million in Biden Campaign to the Biden Campaign to start their operation. And he said, you know what . Were going to be okay with that too. The problem is by the gsa not recognizing the incoming administration, it is impossible for them to do background checks on people who will be in the cabinet. Ainsley right. Steve he did saw he was going to be announcing a chief of staff shortly, and dont be surprised if we hear some of the names for the cabinet before thanksgiving. Ainsley yeah, yeah. You know, itll all work out in due time. You have republicans that are saying just be patient, let us get the courts to make a determination before we move forward and we concede if thats going to happen. But well have to see. You know, when you hear a President Biden or a president elect biden speak, he sounds a lot like barack obama. Remember he went out and did the apology tour, and he wanted to global issues . And then President Trump took office and he was like, no, this is America First. Were not going to be paying more money than other countries for issues theyre responsible for, and he was tough. In the last decade or so, steve, no state has added more fortune 500 headquarters to texas, and theyve gained, by the way, over a Million People from other states, mostly new york, new jersey, connecticut, my home state of illinois, california are just streaming into texas because of the zero income tax, zero in texas. And, but the way, dont forget about florida, steve. Floridas another state that has no income tax that has had Huge Population gains. Steve yeah. It used to be new york had a bigger population than florida. Floridas just surpassed, you know, new york as i believe the thursday biggest state in the country. Steve right. So this is a big story, how people are streaming out of blue states, robert, and theyre going to red states with low taxes and less regulation. Steve thats right. And, robert, how many of your friends from wall street or new york city have said, you know what . Im a new yorker at heart, but i love to keep my money, so im going to move to florida, texas or one of those other states . You know a lot of guys. No question, i have a lot of friends that moved to florida. Im not in new york, im a bostonian, but i do love new york city. One, when i ran ubs, you know, you have to look at front office a lo gist ines very different Ally Logistics very differently. As steve said, we moved a lot of our people to tampa, and so we didnt have everything new yorkcentric. We had our front office in the main hubs new york, san francisco, dallas. Texas is very, its a great state to do business, and its even becoming a better state because of whats happening in austin and dallas where so many young people, which, by the way, mabley democrats mainly democrats, have moved there, and the recruiting has been incredible for companies. You have great tax, you have, as steve said, not a lot of regulation. But you also have a great pipeline of recruits which is incredibly important. You have Great Schools out there. Im not a nontexas guy or a nonflorida guy. Business can go to all 50 states, you have to do whats the best. Secondly, ive never been 1230r9ive of supportive of financial transaction taxes. I dont think it makes sense. Its an over the counter market, you dont need to add a tax to it. So im not surprised that people are leaving for data centers elsewhere. Here the point though, look, its not just the financial transaction tax, its the income tax, and its not just companies, its families that are moving. Dont forget about tennessee and states like utah and idaho and montana that are growing very rapidly. And its because these blue you know, look, i love manhattan. I used to go twice a week. I havent been there in a while because of covid, but the combination of not dealing with the crime problem and the riots, shutting down the economy, shutting down restaurants, high taxes, my point, robert, to you is we we know low taxes is a good economic incentive. Why does biden want to raise taxes . Steve, we should be clear here. First of all, america just spoke. Joe bidens the next president. He actually flipped pennsylvania, wisconsin, michigan, arizona, likely georgia. We kept nevada, we kept new mexico, so we should just be clear that america just voted, and joe biden won. So the idea that all of a sudden this blue red purple lets just be clear, its america. Americans can go anywhere. And if texas is deemed to be a great place to do business, people should go there. Im not dissing texas or florida. Im saying that theres a lot of good things about texas. But lets not down new york. Theres a lot of great things in new york. I mean, if theres modernization of policing that could help things get better, everybody wants to do it. Provide the money for that. Of course. Brian whatever the cops say and whatever the experts reveal. By the way, in new york, front page, 2,400 officers have said i quit. Thats a 25 increase of all of last year. So it is a run for the exits because they get no support from this terrible mayor. And if it was so bad, why didnt jim clyburn say this earlier . It would have meant a lot for the country. Yesterday, the judiciary chairman, Lindsey Graham, asked andy mccabe to come in and explain himself to what he was up to during the russia probe in the 2016 election. Heres a little of what he gave and what he received. If you knew then what you know now, would you have signed the warrant application in june of 2017 against carter page . No, sir. Did you mislead the fisa court . I signed a package that included numerous factual errors. General flynns been prosecuted for lying to the fbi. You lied to the fbi, and you arent being with prosecuted. General flynns situation and mine have absolutely nothing in common. I never, ever intentionally misled the fbi you were fired for lying, were you not . I was fired as the result of a deeply unfair and flawed i. G. Investigation. Brian unfair and flawed which he referred to which said there was a reason for the investigation. Whatd you think . I mean, mccabe got mauled yesterday. What you doesnt show was ted cruz absolutely grilling him about the logan act. And, ins essence, you know, this sort of reminds me of some of the hearings weve had on big tech and social media where the senate brings people in, they grill them about things, but what are you going to actually do . Personally, im sort of over the theatrics of this kind of stuff. What are we going to actually do . Are we going to actually start arresting people . Are there going to be consequences, or are we just going to do the theater version of this . In essence, mechanic cape really mccabe really screwed up here. Brian theyre all not telling the truth. At different times they deny not knowing Different Things, is so their stories dont intersect as all. Of course. Brian lets just take a look about how much time the ore networks put into this, msnbc, cnn, abc, nbc, zero minutes. No one covered it at all because the russia thing just doesnt matter anymore. Can you believe it . You know, brian, one of the things i talk about in my book is that theres four types of fake news. A lot of people think fake news is just a completely madeup story or when the headline is different than the text of the story, but one of the types of fake news and i think probably the most nefarious, most dangerous type, is when the media wont show you something that goes against their narrative. And that is exactly what this is. It doesnt help msnbc or cnn or even abc or nbc, it doesnt help their narrative to talk about this story, so they just pretend that the hearings dont happen. And, thus, that leaves everyone sort of believing Different Things depending on what channel you watch. And thats a dangerous situation for a healthy democracy. Brian and all i can tell you is were not sure whats going to happen with these legal challenges, and it looks like joe biden did get more votes than the president right now, but the president got other 70 million over 70 million votes. So this one might have caught some folks off guard. Just be aware that this is going to be, perhaps, a hurricane or a very strong Tropical Storm once it moves inland overnight tonight. So hurricane watch in effect and Tropical Storm warnings. Theres fort myers, theres tampa. Thats where we have our tornado watch because these land falling tropical systems especially east of the center of circulation, thats where we see tropical tornadoes, and they can be quite destructive. Flood advisories in advance of this, 25 inches going to cause some flooding. Of course, florida, youre prepared for these types of storms. However, this one, you know what . It snuck up on us a little bit. We had a landfall in the keys a couple days ago and now a second landfall with heavy rainfall, storm surge, certainly, and Tropical Storm force winds at least, maybe Hurricane Force winds as well. Things changed, but he still is up there, he still is jumping, and i should mention this they jumped out of a twinrow to have plane, they were originally going to jump out of a military plane from world war ii and then a different one from the vietnam war but, unfortunately, because of covid, that wasnt able to happen. We are going to walk to joey, but of course, we have to make sure that you can still hear me. Steve we can see you. Go ahead. Abby nobody lands on top of me. Hes just hang out. And then when we final lu got turned around where we needed to be, she took over and just made it so easy. Abby was he a good, good person to tandem with or difficult . He was excellent. Hes done this before, its like he never stopped. [laughter] abby what was it like there up in the plane with these generations of veterans who are dating back to world world war . You know, i had a korean war veteran right beside me, and the smile never left his face. He was smiling before he got on the plane, smiling on the plane, and you could see the look on his face, he wasnt worried about anything. He was just ready to go. And, you know, they had a little trouble because its like fitting an elephant into a she box [laughter] and he was just along for the rude. And, my en, the i mean, the smile on his face took the worry out of mine. Abby i love that. And four branches of military, correct . Was there any smack talk . I think we were all kind of on the same team for that one. Well do the smack talk on the ground, be friends up in the air. Abby fantastic x. How long have you been doing this . Ive been jumping for 10 years. During my career ive been pretty much jumping out of airplanes. Abby and how does today rank amongst those times that youve jumped out of these airplanes .
