They have printed all sorts of things on trump that was itself illegally obtained. So what we see going on here is a blatant display of favoritism and of hypocrisy among these tech companies. Deeply disturbing. Brian so just so you know part of these emails one of the references is on hunter biden talking about this Chinese Energy firm that says saying 10 for h for the big guy here it is. One email sent to biden on may 139, 2017 with the subject line expectation. Guy on including details of Remuneration Packages for six people involved in unspecified business venture. Email outlined a provisional agreement under which 80 of the equity or shares in the Company Split yale among those people corresponded to the sender with h apparently referring to biden. So, you wonder how far it goes up not just hunter biden with the substance problem trying to cash in on his dads name which as untasteful as it is might be legal. It might be Something Else more that be that senator lee, as you think about that i also want to ask you, they said they reached out to your office with this information. Did you know that . That was news to me. I have learned that as of just the last few hours. I havent been able to confirm that we are combing through as you might imagine we receive tens of thousands of emails and we havent been able to verify that we heard from anybody on this. The fact that the New York Post put up this article yesterday and that it was immediately taken down. Information was discovered by a blind owner of a Computer Repair shop in delaware who claims hunter biden brought his computer in for service in 2019 but never picked it up. Its amazing, though, how much the press wants nothing to do with this. They dont want to know if the Vice President of the United States was selling favors from the white house. I mean, thats what the allegation is, is that for money, for millions of dollars to his family, that he was selling official policy, official aid of the United States of america to foreign countries. And as you know, not only that, or facebook and twitter decided to do more than ignore it, to censor it and silence it to prevent people from even finding out the facts of the press story. Kayleigh mcenany put on her personal email or twitter account, she posted this story, yesterdays story about ukraine. And then they wrote, these were their words, twitters words with,. She violated the twitter rules, therefore, they took down or they blocked her from being able to use her account. Jack dorsey then later in the door said our communications was not great, locking the url sharing with zero context as to why were blocking is unacceptable. Finish but what do you, i mean, will the Mainstream Media report the latest which is theyre reporting that he basically did the same thing in china with his Business Partners, theyre reporting that hunter biden introduced his dad as Vice President at the time to his Business Partners in china, they flew over to china together on air force two in december of 2013 according to these reports. What do you think about the censorship three weeks from the election . I think the Mainstream Medias entirely in bed with joe biden. I think their only priority is trying to elect biden. And big tech, look, big tech has been getting worse and worse and worse, but they really crossed a line heres that is very dangerous. For years ive been focusing on big tech censorship of conservatives, of conservative ideas, of shadow banning. Ive chaired multiple hearings on it. But the line they crossed here is the New York Post has the fourth highest circulation in america. They did two things on this. Number one, they blocked all of their users. If you wanted to share this story from the New York Post, you clicked on the link, and you went up to a page that said blocked, this information is dangerous. Well, maybe its dangerous for bidens political fortunes, but thats not really twitter and facebooks call to make. And then secondly, the New York Post itself was sending out on facebook and twitter their own story, and they blocked the post. They blocked the post from sending it. I dont know of any precedent of a major news outlet being blocked by twitter and facebook, of them deciding the following news outlets are not allowed to report major evidence of corruption from one of the two president ial candidates a couple weeks before the election. It is stunning. And for everyone in the media who says, well, its unverified, you know, that didnt stop the New York Times from going on and on and on with what they say are the prime ministers tax return the president s tax returns, and it stop the steele document. Now, that is unverified. In this case i dont know if the New York Post story is right or not, but thats actually what people should be debating, and joe biden ought to be answering those question right now. Brian and they said there was some personal information, personal emails and contacts out there. I think americas gotten great at redaction. We react everything of substance. I think we could have adjusted that. Not everybody gets the New York Post. And theres a lot of people out there who arent watching us, and the networks dont cover it, the other channels dont cover it, its not brought up by the Biden Campaign, so it is working. You guys do an investigation in november or december, fireworks, its a story, it is working. So thats why its a frustrating situation. If George Stephanopoulos is worth anything as an anchor, he will bring this up tonight with a followup, correct . He certainly should. I will say im not holding my breath. You know, Savannah Guthrie of today show ought to be losing their mind because if this is through, joe biden looked her in the eyes and flat out lied to her. If you watch the video, she ought to be really ticked off. A journalist has a right to be upset if a politician, particularly a nominee to the president of the United States, just flat out lies. If they arent pursuing it, shame on them. Steve the last couple days weve watched you on tv during the Senate Confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett. And so, you know, were going to have a little flashback to something that was said yesterday. Its your colleague across the aisle, chris coons, the democrat from delaware. And, essentially, he was asking her would she be an Antonin Scalia clone when it came to deciding issues, and heres the back and forth. Watch this. If Justice Scalia had had his way, wed be a very different country with regards to genderrer discrimination. And one of Justice Ginsburgs most celebrated decisions in 1996 in the case involving Virginia Military institute. Im just getting at how closely you would ally yourself with Justice Scalias jurisprudence. I do share the originalist, but in the litany of cases youve just identified, i hope you arent suggesting that i dont have my own mind, that i couldnt think independently or i would just decide, well, let me see what Justice Scalia has said about this in the past. I assure you, i have my own mind. Is. Steve what was senator coons trying to do, and what did she do . Well, look, they fried to throw tried to throw some rocks at judge barrett. The big news out of yesterday is that the democrats surrendered, that theyve given up. By mud day they were all gone midday they were all gone. And i think they recognize that on the merits, her credentials are impeccable. Shes going to be confirmed. And, you know, its interesting, that exchange where chris coons, he talks generally about equal rights, but he doesnt get into any specifics. Yesterday when i was questioning judge barrett, i walked through all of the cases at the court that are hanging in the balance 54. As you know, these are all the cases that i talk about in my new book, one vote away, going through free speech, our rights to create size our politicians and talk about public issues, hanging in the balance 54, religious liberty, our rights to worship according to our faith, according to our conscience, 54. The Second Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms, the radicals the left wants to put on the court, they have four votes for, essentially, erasing the Second Amendment from the bill of rights. And ill tell you, it is very revealing that not a single one of the democrats wants to debate the for thes or substance of that the merits. They know that their radical agenda for the court is really unpopular. And so so instead, they want to talk about different topics. They dont want to talk about packing the court which i also believe is part of their agenda if they win, increasing the number of justices from nine to eleven or thirteen to try to immediately politicize the court. Thats a wildly unpopular idea. But i think its where joe biden and Kamala Harris are right now. Ainsley the polls show that biden is ahead. If biden and harris one in 19 days, then what happens with Court Packing after that . Is that the next fight . Yeah. Ainsley youre warning america about that. That is exactly right. You know, it was interesting this week, we saw the democrats trying to redefine what Court Packing means. It was a very concerted effort. Their talking points, theyve got a lot of message discipline. Theyre trying to say, well, you know, republicans have been packing the court for four years. No, thats not actually what court pack means. Court packing does not mean nominating a justice to fill a vacancy. Thats what all president s do, thats what happens. Court packing is very different. It is expanding the number of justices. Fdr trued it in 1937 trued it in 1937 at the heart of his power. He wanted to increase from 9 justices to 15. His own party, the Democratic Party, said no and resisted him because they said it would destroy the independence of the court, it would politicize the court. Fdr was wrong then, the democrats were right then. You know, joe biden in 1983 said Court Packing was a boneheaded idea. And now that boneheaded idea, i think, is their agenda number one if they win on election day. Brian and they wont tell you, which shows they know its not popular, but theyre going to do it. Senator shouper says everything senator schumer says everythings on the table. And number three, Bernie Sanders might have lost the nomination, but hes going to be head of the Budget Committee if you guys lose majority in the senate. Hes going to have more power, in many cases, than the president of the United States. People should understand holistically whats at stake this election. Senator, thanks so much. All of these guys have political affiliations, and this is why they cant do accurate reporting. Im not saying that the a allegations are true because i dont know steve right. But i do know theres a lot of smoke here, and its their job to go after the truth. But i think because these guys are so politically tied and its, you know, the Fourth Quarter of this political election, theyre afraid that it may hurt their candidate. The fact that theres not alarm bells ringing from the press that facebook and twitter were suppressing the First Amendment when it came down to journalism, when they know good and well that they publish stories with unnamed sources every single day is just stunning to maine so, again to me. So again, dont be surprised when this happens to your reporter because you didnt speak up for a publication that you dont like. They do actual reporting, they have a lot of sourcing in it, they provided documents, they provided pictures. And so the fact that they wont defend this report is stunning to me. Steve yeah. What about the fact that twitter and facebook both said were not going to allow people to share the lunge to the New York Post the link to the New York Post story . And, in fact, theyve frozen, i think, the New York Posts whole account as well on twitter, so people are, you know, rather than read the story and decide for yourself because they tell exactly the chronology of the events that led up to them pointing out the information, but instead of letting people do that, theyre just saying, nope, were going to be the judge for you. Yeah. Meanwhile in the Mission Statement of twitter, they say that their mission to let information go without barriers. And they are definitely putting up barriers. Look, i think its put sad, you know, im a libertarian. I believe that private business should be able to conduct themselves the way they want to conduct themselves. Steve right. But these people arent acting like they said they were going to act. And the fact that theyre selectively deciding what stories can be published, i think, is concerning for all americans. Well, there was a couple moments like that where its very remarkable for americans to see and especially for girls and young women to see, is the ability to stand up for yourself, defend yourself without being defensive, be firm without being aggressive or mean. I mean, its remarkable stale of a woman who is style its about selfconfidence, its about owning the nature of what it is youre going to saw. Whatever it is someone says to you does not even really offend you because you know who you are. We havent seen that in a very long time in that kind of an environment. So its quite remarkable. We we also saw it in some exchanges with senator harris. We saw it in an Exchange Even with Lindsey Graham when he was also asking her about Justice Scalia, and she said at one point another favorite was, you know, youre going to be getting justice barrett, not Justice Scalia. But its also concerning, ainsley in that, look, we still need to see more women in positions of power, clearly. But the more that we see, the more we see an expansion of the kinds of women who can be powerful and yet we still kind of see women as inheritors of the men who influence them. Inheritors of power, inheritors of ideas. Its very exciting when you see a woman being able to have a mentor, just like men do, and yet expected of themselves and by other people to have their own ideas, to be able to move forward and beyond that. And thats what shes accomplished. She is very exciting. Ainsley all right. So, tammy, another topic making headlines is the exchange between mazie hirono, senator hirono, and the judge about the judge using the phrase sexual preference. Watch this. I is never discriminated on the basis of sexual preference or sexual preference is an offensive and outdated term. Ainsley so merriamwebster, the diction flower, heres the old definition dictionary, before it said orientation, sexual preference. And now after that exchange between the two of them on tuesday, now it says offensive. Whats your response . Its really dumb, and thats one of the problems with, you know, the online framework. Before you would have a team of people who would make discussions about definition. Thats very important. This start ld, i believe, when some expert check on twitter made that point, which is idiot you can. As a gay women, many in the audience may not know that i am, for me it is a preference. For others they would identify it as being an orientation. Whats remarkable here is that youve got and preference, by the way, has been approved and okayed couple until maybe, you know, the day before yesterday. Ruth Bader Ginsburg has used it, joe biden has used it as a phrase, and this was no problem there. But whats ironic here is anyone from the Gay Community would throw in a dash of stall the when it comes stalin when it comes to policing the words we can use with. All the civil rights movements were about being able to define ourselves, to live life that best studented us. And suitedded us. And they are the last people who should be punishing people or determining as the adjective police what it is we can use. And thats, i think, the danger, is that youve got now this clan trying to make it seem as though either everyones homophobic, or youve got to be careful with every word. You know, maybe we need to have a list on our fridges that are tacked up written in pencil, of course with the daytoday changes about whats okay with definitions. Especially coming from the side of politics who say that there are at least a dozen genders. So dont look for anybody to complain about any heterosexual or homosexual whos going to identify as, lets say, as a preference that is the case sometimes, ask were not homophobes or hostile to the gay agenda. Thats bunk. And i think its important for people to realize that. But this is part of the technique of making people afraid and sending a signal that someone like judge barrett is an immoral individual. So the relevance theres also the issue of the authenticity of the underlying information. Were assuming the information is authentic. The fbi could answer that before the end of this segment if they wanted to brian they have the laptop. Theyve got the laptop. Ron johnson has the information, but i dont think senator johnson is equipped to determine the authenticity of the underlying information. The fbi, which works for the executive branch which the president heads, could tell us before the ten of this segment whether or not those emails are authentic and reliable or not. Steve and, you know, the other thing, congressman, is if the fbis got the laptop and, supposedly, somebody who identified themself as hunter biden drops it off at the shop in delaware the fbi, im sure, has figured out whose fingerprints are on the outside. Youre suggesting that the fbi, at the direction of the president , could release that . Well, they could certainly tell us whether or not theres any reason to suspect this is russian disinformation which is always the lefts argument. If the emails are authentic, then there is potential criminality under lobby registration acts. But, i mean, the fbis not supposed to get involved in politics. Thats hard for us to believe after 2016, but theyre really not supposed to. If the information is reliable, then the media provides the noncriminal oversight in our culture. And ive seen no stories there have been more stories about whether Kamala Harris saw the fly on mike pences head than whether or not hunter biden was trafficking in his fathers name and influence. She posted that story from yesterday about ukraine and hunter and joe biden, and her account was blocked, and they wrote on there we have determined that this account violated the twitter rules, and then gives a definition of the rules. Jack dorsey twitter defended it earlier on in the day saying blocking any links, saying they were blocking lunges or images to the story. Jack door su, the ceo, said our reaction on the New York Post article was not great. Blocking the url with zero context as to why were blocking, unacceptable, he says. Did that remind you of the professor that you know . Yeah. Thanks so much for having me on. It really did. You know, i think judge barrett, professor barrett at the time, really brought a standard of excellence to the classroom and being respectful, understanding the material and really just being prepared. I think we saw that. You know, all the rhetoric that was going around, she just stayed poised, professional and answered the questions intelligently. I think thats what we all expect of judge barrett. Brian so you go to the army, go to law school after, and a lot of times when youre a mature student like yourself, youll go visit the teachers afterwards. What was it like when you go into her office . What made her visits different . Yeah. So i went in initially just to ask some questions about some of the material, and i quickly realized she was far more interested in her students than i ever expected from a professor. She asked questions about growing up in montana, my wife, you know, my time in the army. And i quickly realized that she was going to be someone that was a mentor and someone to look up to. And i think thats so rare in, you know, in academic settings to have someone these professors are so busy, but to really take time and invest in her students, it was amazing. And thats kind of how that initial experience went during my first year of law school. Brian and, of course, the experience you had fighting for the country adds to probably what a great lawyer youll be. You also went through an adoption process. Was she interested in that part of your life . Yeah. You know, at the time, you know, i mentioned my wife and i one day want to adopt, and we had great conversations about that. And, you know, as recent as a couple months ago, we started the adoption process, and we knew she had adopted two orphans from haiti. Who better to reach out to. To our surprise, i mean, shes sitting there on the seventh circuit, mom of seven after going through all the confirmation hearings for that position, she reached out to us and just overwhelmed us with resources and sharing about her experience and books shes read, and, you know, we just felt so loved and surprised. But i guess if you talk to nub who actually anybody who actually knows judge barrett, its not surprising because she really does pour out, encourage and love everyone in her life even when its selfless, even when it costs her time during her busy work schedule. Brian and shed walk in a class and say im prolife, im a catholic, did that stuff ever come out, her beliefs . Never. I was doing an interview the other day, and they asked the question were your political beliefs different than judge barretts . I said, to be honest, i dont even know where she stands on those issues. She came into the classroom and made sure we understood the different arguments. As long as we were prepared, we asked questions and had free discussion. She never once came in and said this is how this should come out, this is why i should think that. It was a standard of excellence, it was a respectful environment, but everybody was free to learn and discuss and throw ideas out and really try to rationalize what is the best outcome in this case or the best reasoning to approach this text.
