Todd congressman andy biggs serves on the house Judiciary Committee will be in that hearing today and he joins us now that statement, carley, just read is what he gets to say before he gets grilled by folks like yourself. There are so many areas to Merrick Garland on. Where will you start, congressman . Well, i think the place that you are going to see most of us start is the David Weiss Investigation of hunter biden. And whether Merrick Garland was interfering with that and, also, whether through Merrick Garland and david weiss, whether joe biden was interfering with that so you have got slowwalking of investigations so that statute of limitations end up running and who was doing that . Why were they being slowwalked . We have had whistleblowers come in and testify that their investigation was hindered, that david weiss and hes the guy that ultimately designed this weak Plea Agreement that ultimately even a judge said is not good, not appropriate. Who decided you are going to drop the most serious crimes or the allegations and then give him a Sweetheart Deal with nothing going on when you are putting other people in prison for that . So i think there is a lot going on with that issue and a whole plethora. This is a targetrich environment. So a whole plethora of other ideas that people are going to come on. Carley congressman, what do you think about the Wall Street Journal report that came out over the weekend that says that Merrick Garlands relationship with President Biden has gone from i believe the phrasing was distant to frigid the president is angry that they gave david weiss Special Counsel status. Are you buying that . I dont know that i buy that. It seems almost like a deflection, doesnt it . It certainly gets to the point did david weiss get special favor from Merrick Garland for how he handled the Hunter Biden Deal . I mean, he basically slow walked stuff. He made it easy for hunter biden to get away with stuff. So you wonder, is it real that joe biden is upset about that, having a Special Counsel that actually has favored hunter biden over the course of time . Todd seems like they are creating a little tiff where one may or may not exist. Meantime the first Biden Impeachment Hearing is set for next week, of course, the Impeachment Inquiry is the situation we are facing. Bank records obtained by the House Oversight Committee Show biden family made at least 20 million from foreign nationals while joe biden was Vice President. Here is what your colleague oversight chair james comer told sean hannity last night. What i said on day one of this investigation is we were going to follow the money. And right now we have followed the money. We found the Shell Companies. We subpoenaed the bank records of those Shell Companies. We found wires from five Different Countries from china to romania to ukraine, to russia to uzbekistan to the Shell Companies that were then dispersed to nine different biden family members. Congressman, there are reports that even from the g. O. P. Side that were not going to learn anything new in this hearing next week. So how will this hearing help move this investigation forward . Well, i think this hearing coming up next week is going to actually lay the parameters of what we can get at and what we cant get at. In the sense that we have an expanded authority with the Impeachment Inquiry. And so with that, we are going to be talking about what we have and what were going to be able to get. So, you are going to see probably some more subpoenas issued for some more bank records, more documents that were aware ever. You know, Chairman Comer has done a great job but we have actually seen additional countries in there from which money has come. Most of the attention has been on ukraine. So well probably be doing a lot of talking about ukraine. But we will also open it up and remind people of china and the craziness there from romania, from kazakhstan, from a russian oligarch. All of that. Carley congressman, where are you on the spending package . The investigation, the Impeachment Inquiry shut down if the government shuts down. Why not pass the continuing resolution to give yourselves more time to negotiate a deal . Well, the inquiry will not shut down. The Impeachment Inquiry will still go forward. Congress will still do its work. We will be doing committee hearings. In fact, the vast majority of the federal government just continues on. But what you do if do you a continuing resolution, you continue with the bad Biden Schumer pelosi programs that are in place that allow things like spying on American People that were trying to get rid of. And this notion that youre going to fix this thing in 30 days seems ridiculous when we have had 10 months. We should have already done this.
