Chief gallaghers attorneys and wife, who has been by his side minute by minute throughout this trial, said outside the court it was a case that should never have been brought. What the money allows them to do is make sure no tricks are missed. No voters are missed and they can get people to the polls. Thats the way theyll fight this campaign. Sandra ive told where the crowds are that massive covering the Royal Wedding the security detail is looking for somebody who is moving away from the crowds. The crowds are looking towards one thing. If somebody is going the other direction it is something to zone in on. There will be a lot of additional officers on hand. What are the numbers like . Millions of folks here. Look, everybody is fighting to get jobs and manufacturing jobs and those types of things but i have to tell you, this country, if we cant stand up for the flag, if we cant just rally around the flag and things that are patriotic, come on, america. This whole idea theyre politically offended by this, that and the other i just dont buy it. In part it has to do with being antitrump. They say donald trump wrapping himself in the flag and hugging the flag and you have the other segment of the population that says now ill be against the flag. I really do believe the two of those are tied together for some people, a few people. That is out there. What makes it really simple is when you didnt commit the crime. Ive been able to see the videos, to see the pictures, to reach out to friends who could contact the iraqi general when ncis would not. It was our honor to be able to help his Legal Defense and be there in his hour of need especially since weve almost keep in mind almost sent an innocent, decorated navy seal to prison for the rest of his life. Keep in mind the other officers there. People above Eddie Gallagher who took the same exact picture have never been charged with a crime and will never be convicted of it. His lawyer pointed out he is the only one being charged with that. That loyalty factor is huge, though. When we look at our navy seals, we have always heard about that loyalty factor within the seals. Eddie gallagher called that into question in the interview this morning and says it needs to return. Absolutely. Eddie gallagher is an extremely loyal individual. He didnt speak a word or point fingers or assign blame to the actual guilty parties. He knew that justice would prevail but it almost did not. Thats a travesty and it will hurt recruiting. It is hard to bring young men and women into the special operations unit. What is next for Eddie Gallagher . What an eloquent defense of her husband for a long period of time. What an amazing woman. He was convicted of one charge of posing with a corpse and he will be sentenced today. The jury in this particular case sentences him. They could award him no punishment up to four months. Since he served a lot of time in pretrial confinement. Even if they give him the max of four months he walks out of a courtroom. This is a federal conviction. It will be carried around unless the president pardons him. There is another piece, though. The navy can try to fire him administratively. Thats when you saw senior chief gallagher and his attorney this morning talk about going to the special Operations Command and having a conversation. Theyll try to ward that off. Bill you have watched this closely. You think the jury got it right . Im always loath as a former military judge or prosecutor to say whether they have it right or not but the jurys verdict should be respected. The military Justice System worked here. The prosecution did a terrible job. I think the prosecutor was inexperienceed. You could tell that from a lot of different angles. The immunity deal that went south. The medic who testified who wasnt impeached properly. Im not sure an experienced career prosecutor would have even brought these charges in the first place, bill. I just dont think it would have happened. If it was we would have seen a lot more. I dont think they had the umph to convict him. Homicide cases are hard to prove in the civilian world. In the military world thats tough. Sandra the case was almost thrown out because of the prosecution. They had to eventually admit that they did tap the emails, leaking to the media, monitoring the emails from Eddie Gallagher to his legal team. There was this trial has taken a lot of twists and turns throughout. Finally as far as what is next for Eddie Gallagher, do you think the president steps . I dont know what the president will do. It is in his discretion to pardon him if he wants to. The next battle for the defense that they talked about this morning is going to his command and saying look, please dont fire this guy.
