Something i think also is important is that actually real wage growth is at 3 and has been for roughly 10 months now. So while there is a lot of debate about a lot of concern that says were adding all these jobs but not ages increasing youve seen it now for 10 months 3 or higher. I think a few months back there was a number that was disappointing and next month it was revised up. I think the economy continues to grow with great strength. I thought for example that the interview he did with pierce morgan may have been the most president ial interview ive seen him do. At every level he was moderated. If they are going to hold contempt charges for mcgahn or for bill barr it could be a court battle and take a year the play out. Whats their strategy . Right, i think its political and not really legal. At the end of the day or not a legal strategy. At the end of the day the ultimate weapon they have is this threat of contempt and they are already playing the endgame of announcing theyll pursue it. Thats why you see a real nonreaction from heavy weight like barr who has been down this road and been attorney general and knows that the options for the house are limited. He doesnt seem to be exactly fearful of the concept of contempt. Nobody welcomes it but he is not afraid of it. Bill what would the courts do . The courts dont want to touch this stuff with a 10foot pole. Its an area between the executive and legislative branch. To jump to contempt maybe nobody wanted to work it out on the house side. Slow in terms of dealing with it most likely. They wont want to address it. They want the parties to work it out as a balance of power principle. You mentioned could be a year or more. Most likely unless an energized judge gets involved they will look at this and say we dont want to get into it too quickly. Bill in a year or more you are looking at campaign season. Maybe thats the strategy. Well see. What about john durham and what is he doing on behalf of bill barr. He is really starting to sink his teeth in the fisa abuse, etc. What should we watch out for that . Durham is a pro. Aggressive but fair and push hard for evidence. Getting access to things through the inspector general, grand jury, declassifications. He will look hard at all the issues surrounding the origins of these probes. The comparison how the hillary email probe went and the trump, steele. There are a lot of questions. It shouldnt be breaking down on partisan lines. For public investigations the d. O. J. And f. B. I. Will play fair and bring their best game. Dont look like they did that. If anybody will find out for sure and announce his findings with credibility it will be durham. The trip wire you either cant join or you leave the joint Defense Agreement if your guy starts to cooperate with the government. This seems to be the ground zero moment where everybody realized flynn wouldnt be in a position to be part of a joint Defense Agreement because he is cooperating. Doud gently fishes for a heads up and characterizes as saying in some form meaning there are bigger issues than just the typical case when the president is your client. I dont really take it as nefarious. The written report from the Mueller Probe leaves out the last sentence but reassuring him i dont want you to trip up on any confidences. His defense team started the hearing making a motion for a dismissal of the third degree murder charge. A steep road for them to make an argument considering a jury has already found noor guilty of third degree murder and Second Degree manslaughter from a conviction from a shooting in july of 2017. Noor and his partner were responding to a 911 call placed by justine demond about a suspected Sexual Assault taking place in an alley behind her house. When they got to the alley they heard a long bang and due mond the officer fired his weapon. They tried to provide lifesaving assistance but justine died at the scene. I think in this case the members of congress and particularly the Oversight Committee believe their institutional interests are at stake. Congress usually gets what Congress Wants because their investigative powers are very broad. When someone says we arent going to cooperate, Congress Views it as important to assert its authority and play it through the legal channels. Sandra when you say theyll fight it referencing william barr and don mcgahn. What does that look like . What it looks like what theyve already done. Theyll act like theyre cooperating or try to find some middle ground with giving the documents. The executive branch is asserting some of those documents are privileged. A legitimate legal argument. Theyll try to negotiate. Your question is good. It will go through the courts. Congress will go to court. Executive branch will go to court. Executive branch will say here is why we think it shouldnt be disclosed to congress and congress will say why it should be disclosed. Sandra what is the root cause of this contempt . The root cause of this contempt depends on who you ask. I think the facts bear it out. In this case, the root cause is the fact that the Oversight Committee, which is the main investigative body in the house, they want documents that they believe they are entitled to based on the constitution which is rooted in their legislative authority. So they need to make it clear that they get what they want and as i mentioned, on the other part of that is the executive branch, coequal branch of government and they have rights, too. Sandra there could still be an accommodation process and the urging is for the committee to not move forward so quickly and work something out. Thats a possibility . Absolutely. Like any other litigation. If the parties can get together and work something out they can do that. Sandra how overall can they respond . William barr based on the law and don mcgahn as far as this fight back, what well eventually see from them. Mcgann is not the same as barr. There are different issues with respect to barr. With a guy who is now a private citizen, don mcgahn, if he wanted to on his own he could go in there and cooperate even if the white house doesnt want him to. What did you find out . Well, were at Police Headquarters in new canaan where the call came in two weeks ago. Her friends calling police after she missed several appointments the day she was reported missing and also wasnt picking up her phone. They became worried and started calling police. So while the efforts to locate jennifer indense filed this week new Canaan Police have over 200 tips and have also received almost 70 responses to requests for surveillance video. Police sources confirm with fox that the girlfriend of her estranged husband met with detectives at her Lawyers Office yesterday but declined to talk about what was discussed. She could possibly provide investigators with information about the day jennifer disappeared and it could help her legal situation. She and mr. Dulos will be in court tuesday. They found blood evidence in trash bags dumped in hartford. City crash is processed and sifting through mountains of trash for days. Law enforcement sources say there are over 25 investigators working this case every day. Theyve gone through the park where jennifers vehicle was found may 24 along with multiple properties collected to foetis dulos. They have been in a divorce battle since 2017. The husbands divorce attorney filed paperwork to get off the case and were waiting to find out the custody of the dulos children. Is grandmother filed for temporary custody of them this week. Before we jump into this we have to make sure we arent lumping everyone together. We have no idea what caused the deaths of these three people. The couple that just came forward and they had specific complaints. They talked about severe abdominal cramping. Excessive salvation and tearing. That makes me concerned for something called for exposures to pesticides. They were investigate ed by the nazis in 1934 as a nerve gas and seen it in terrorist attacks. We use them even in the United States for pesticides. Theyre more regulated in the United States than other aspects of the world. Could it have been they were exposed to those, possibly. The three deaths, autopsy came out yesterday saying all three of the people who died they have enlargeed hearts and pulmonary adeem yeah. They could have had a weakened Health System . We have to look into this deeper. Werner had a known heart condition. It could be something benign. The other two, holmes had a bill there is a lot we dont know. What Legal Options does this new colorado couple have that has come forward and saying hold on a second. It sounds familiar to what happened to us . The fact there is so much we dont know about what caused the illness or in the case of colorado couple were they really sickened at the hotel . So much time has passed. They were there last year. Nobody ran tests on them at the time to know what caused the illness. The colorado couple probably will not be able to do anything. When you talk about the people who died. If they died here and a hotel were responsible for doing something that brought about the wrongful death, they would have a lawsuit against that hotel and probably some other entities. It is different in the Dominican Republic because they dont have what we have here, discovery process. And during the discovery process it makes it a lot easier to determine what the heck happened here. Toxicology reports are pending. Theyll show us if theyre doing a test for organic phosphate poisoning. Sandra to be clear the couple in the top left are the couple who passed away after what happened to them and the woman on the top right died . The couple in the bottom left said they got sick. The resort was asked to comment and they said they could not respond to the latest colorado couple coming forward because of the pending litigation. We havent heard much from the hotel itself. So far what ive heard from the hotel theyre denying the liability and explaining away these mysterious deaths. There is a big tourism. Americans going over to the Dominican Republic. It will take a hit if it turns out they accidentally or intentionally poisoned these people. It will be a mess. I want the toxicology done in the United States. I dont know where its happening at the moment or if the bodies have been flown back there. I will trust our system more. Sandra the woman from colorado said when i heard about the deaths at this resort it made me want to scream and cry. Final thoughts. She said that she smelled a bad smell when they entered their hotel room and remembered seeing someone spraying the air conditioning unit. My concern is if you ever feel that you smell a chemical or have any concern of being exposed to a chemical you want to get medical attention right away. We cannot jump to the conclusion that all of these are related right now. There is far too much information we dont have and ill just be very curious to see what happens.
