The Judiciary Committee now trying to get mueller to come testify openly before the entire committee and then you have senator burr and the Intelligence Committee continuing to focus not on the issue of collusion, but focusing more on the issue of russian attempts to undermine democracy and thats an overwhelming that is overwhelmingly getting lost. The importance of that. As a legal matter this is not a close call as both of you mentioned now and the lead into this. What the democrats are seeking as you pointed out is grand jury material and other sensitive material that is not traditionally released and it is barred under the law. There is no reason to issue a contempt finding and the democrats will lose on that. In fact, it was wrong even when they did it to senator clinton when jim comey got up and said all the bad things about her and said but we arent going to prosecute her. You dont threaten the attorney general of the United States with jail time and fines to start a conversation. It is absolutely ludicrous. What has happened here really is they have weaponized the critical oversight responsibility of congress for their raw political purposes. I think the American People will be very frustrated by this. Many republicans including doug collins asked democrats including jerry nadler why not hold off on the vote until we hear from Robert Mueller . Will we ever hear from Robert Mueller . The problem is the committees of jurisdiction, judiciary and intelligence that have the critical responsibility of oversight are being impeded in our work. But when the chairman of the committee and the radical leftists on the panel are using and abusing the processes and procedures in this way it impedes what were able to do.
