An idea is white house is exploring in part because they believe that democrats are so convinced of the need for mass migration, their cities should take the thousands who come. We have to look at all options across the table so that the towns right there on the border arent taking on the entire burden and that were shifting some of that burden to places who constantly claim to want to have open borders and want to have an open city. I want to read both those reports. I dont think well get new facts. The obstruction case is based largely on what the president said openly in tweets and press conferences. I think well see a different analysis of the law as to whether a president can commit obstruction of justice if he fires somebody like comey, who he is entitled to fire. Bill whats important about the two reports . Youll have conflicting reports. One report saying he is guilty. One report saying he is not guilty. He wants to get it down to 50 pages. He is right. There should be a rebuttal and should have been issued simultaneously with the report. Well, i think one thing thats important is we know from the barr excerpts he quoted directly from the report which told us there was no collusion, neither tacit or expressed. We know we wont get anything in the report that will contradict those statements and interesting what the russians were doing. We know there was no collusion that was found but hopefully well see in this report Additional Information about what russia was doing and interfering and working. Bill is that how youre approaching this when you get the 400 pages looking for a summary . What are you looking for . Being on the intelligence committee. This wasnt just about the Trump Campaign. It was also about russias interference with the election. The access to intelligence they have theyll give us a greater under stang. What exactly were the russians doing and how in the future can we protect our election process . Sandra we know it will be the critics will say we cant draw any further conclusions and we dont see enough. We gave him the assignment is coming conclusion. It would be wrong for portions of the report to be released to congress and not the public. Adam schiff and his mignons are saying the barr statement says there was no criminal collusion found. The quote says that they were unable to establish a collusion at all. So if theyll twist words that we all can read we certainly dont want to give select access and then let others tell us what it says. Bill trey gowdy told us two weeks ago we know 50 , half of what russia was doing in 2016. That sound about right to you . Certainly the whole goal of what they were doing in their espionage tactics are not to be seen or not to be discovered. Thats why i think the Mueller Report will be interesting because they would have had access to things that the rest of us have not had. That hopefully can give us a greater picture. I think it will be the tip of the iceberg. Underneath we wont know everything they were doing or everything they tried. We know what they were doing in the Hillary Clinton campaign and releasing the emails. We dont know what other things they were attempting to do. Maybe well find out. There was no collusion and we know that we did not have the aspect of the Trump Campaign doing that. I do think there should be a concern, though, in knowing what has happened with respect to the Hillary Clinton and Democratic National committee funded dossier where they actually hired a retired former Intelligence Officer that was british for the purposes of talking to russians and then use that information in a way where the government used it to undertake surveillance on the other campaign. I think thats wrong and i think thats a threat. Sandra going back to William Barrs testimony this week and house judiciary chairman jerry nadler over the weekend taking issue with barrs use of the word spying when it came to the Trump Campaign. When he started talking completely without evidence as he said about spying on the on the Trump Campaign, when what he meant was executing judicially ordered warrants showed his bias and acting as a person agent of the president rather than the attorney general of the United States in this matter. Sandra get your thoughts on that. He said complete and total nonsense he used that word and said it is a loaded word that he perhaps shouldnt have used. This is great evidence why we wouldnt want the committees of congress to receive one piece of information and the public receive another. Here we have words twisted that we already know what the information is. We know that there was surveillance on the Trump Campaign. To have him on television saying this is absurd, there is no evidence of this. We all know the evidence. There will be some redactions and they will go to issues such as means and methods or techniques and grand jury testimony issues. All information that hopefully well understand the purpose of its redaction. The basic core of the work thats been done by the Mueller Group and certainly their conclusions i think well have enough to be able to understand exactly how they got there, what they looked at and why we should be able to take this as a complete report. Sandra how much will this change things, the actual release of this report do you think . It matters what it says. I dont think it will change much. We already have the language where the barr excerpts from the Mueller Report state that they could not establish that there was even any explicit coordination or cooperation or collusion.
