Button or will there be another stimulus bill . They were already trillions a disgrace to our nation, of dollars that have been sent out just in the relief packages made it impossible for us to deal with other countries from the bills prior to that and so what you need to see now is a including russia. Team coverage now, charlie real reopening of the economy in heard live. A safe way and do it on a consistent basis. Good morning, President Trump i know some states are starting to reopen safely and theyre is saying that these newly having good success, some states released transcripts by the are holding back. House Intelligence Committee prove what he has been saying i think what youre hearing and for years, that there was never ive talked to so many Business Owners from the smallest local any collusion with russia and restaurants to the largest that Top Obama Administration businesses that say we need to officials knew it. Start getting people back out again in a safe way because people want to start getting back out safely and thats the what youve seen so far is incredible, especially as it relates to president obama. Only way youre going to get this economy open but there is if anyone thinks that he and some real negative Health Consequences to keeping things Sleepy Joe Biden didnt know what was going on, they have shut down and youre already starting to see Mental Illness is on the rise, people that another thing coming. Arent getting their normal according to the transcripts checkups where you can detect come on then deputy things like early cancer is not attorney general sally yates told the Intelligence Committee happening and it needs to happen that she was shocked to learn the former barack obama knew widescale. And the depression and loss of hope that goes with losing your job and your about the Incoming National security advisor Michael Flynn business has a negative and the Russian Ambassador at consequence. So we know businesses are the time. Already showing, we know how to and look at this from the former do this. Lets start getting it done widescale before they talk about director of National Intelligence James Clapper, i things like bailing out states never saw any direct empirical that were already failed prior evidence that the Trump Campaign to covid19 or radical ideas or someone in it was plotting like the green new deal. Were conspiring with the russians to metal with the lets focus on helping families election. And businesses safely get back its just a frequency and to work. Prevalence of the of them that ed thanks for coming on. Was of concern. All of these transcripts and documents were released sandra President Trump yesterday as exhibits to the meanwhile said to take part in a governments motion to dismiss Michael Flynns case. Ceremony at the world war ii President Trump is now calling memorial in washington. His former National Security a few moments from now to advisor and the attorney general commemorate 75 years since ve heroes but congressman adam schiff is outraged. Day. We will bring you thats when it he said this, flynn pled guilty to lying to the fbi about his begins. That is a live shot so we will illicit russian contacts. Be watching that for you. His lies do not now become calling on joe biden to drop out truths. The dismissal does not exonerate of the race saying that she is willing to take a polygraph test him, but it does incriminate bill barr. In the worst politicization of after accusing the former vp of the Justice Department in Sexual Assault. History. The response from bidens team is next. Keep in mind, President Trump just said this morning that this is only the beginning, that more campaign is taking this documents, more transcripts are likely coming and you even position that they want all women to be able to speak confirm that yourself with your reporting last night. Safely, i have not experienced ed the acting dni over to that. The Justice Department waiting veterans you know Mortgage Rates have fallen to to see what was in that satchel. Kristin fisher, things are starting us off this morning. Sandra thank you very much. For more on all this, lets bring in charlie hurt, opinion editor for the Washington Times in a fox news contributor. A lot to dig into there. First, i want to throw up the piece in the wall street journal this morning. Writes about the molar coverup, it was an effort to give affection of legitimacy for the fbis disaster and says flynn got justice on thursday and they would be no broader reckoning until we see the full record. Full transparency and a review of the molar probe itself. The nation got taken for a ride, and continued with the special counsel behind the wheel. What is your reaction to all of this this morning . Kim is exactly right, great to see mike flynn got justice yesterday and the charges have been dropped. But theres something very rotten going on here and weve barely gotten to the bottom of it. At the very beginning of 2017, everyone knew or should have known there was no collusion between President Trump and the russians but quite possibly the fbi and the government sources were using russian 50year lows. Disinformation to advance a but did you know that your va benefit lets you easily political agenda. We also know that even that refinance to a lower rate . Early, mike flynn had done one call to newday can save you 2000 a year. Absolutely nothing wrong but for some reason, they pursued mike with newdays va streamline refi theres no Income Verification, flynn and decided to pursue this no home appraisal, and no out of pocket costs. Completely fraudulent line about its the quickest and easiest refi theyve ever offered. Collusion between donald trump and the russians. Call newday now. To me, weve known from the beginning that the Previous Administration at the highest levels sought to spy on political enemies during an election. That to me is a blockbuster fivealarm fire, should have been the story of the decade in terms of what reporters in washington were pursuing. Obviously we know that far too many of them were far too busy chasing this narrative about russia collusion, but all this information raises new questions about how far up did it go. Who knew what when the . The fact that president obama and an Oval Office Meeting with high up official surprise them with his knowledge, his deep knowledge, deeper knowledge than some of those in the room who shouldve been should have known more about it than he did asking about mike flynn and what to do with him raises serious questions and it also might explain why so many people below president obama felt like they have the liberty to go as far as they did to run roughshod over mike flynn and pursue this crazy Conspiracy Theory about collusion. Sandra used in the reaction from james comey and others outraged over the dropping of this case, he sounded off, the former fbi director and a brandnew tweet saying this. The doj has lost its way but career people please stay because America Needs you. The country is hungry for honest, competent leadership. Clearly showing his disappointment with all of it. Meanwhile, what comes next is Lindsey Graham talking about the past for his committee. We now know mccain said, not just horowitz without the dossier, thered be no warrant i want to say you and i were against carter page, so my job is to try to coherently without there, joe biden. Revenge but with accountability please step forward and be held explained to the American People accountable. You should not be running on a how the system failed, how and character for the president of why and im going to start with the general flynn case. The United States. Ed tara reid calling for joe biden to drop out of the sandra he wants to call 2020 race in her first oncamera james comey and Andrew Mccabe to interview since the former vp testify. Denied her allegation, the biden he is made that clear but also campaign firing back now saying said he wants Michael Flynn to they are growing inconsistencies be invited to tell his story and what it was like to go through in her story. Peter doocy is live from this before the committee this virginia with more details. Summer, charlie. Thats the very least that we good morning, ada. Can expect from the senate to Brett Kavanaughs accuser was get to the bottom of this taken more seriously than because if they can do this sort joe bidens accuser, then joe bidens accuser is ready to of thing to a threestar general follow the doctor Christine Blasey ford playbook. A guy thats working as a if i could go back one National Security advisor inside an incoming president ial second, some of those who supported her but now have found a reason not to support you say she was under oath weird would administration, who cant they do it to . And to listen to those comments from jim comey, to me they sound you go under oath . Absolutely. Like someone who is trying to they say shes subjected keep it together, who knows that herself to cross examination, the jig is up, that this thing would you do that . Absolutely. Is not going to end well for h of the complaint she says that she filed with the senate him. In 1993 still has not been bill barr, attorney general bill barr has been very clear that he intends to get to the located but another document bottom of this. From her Divorce Proceedings in he intends to clean house not in 1996 serves as reades recently a partisan way, not because of any sort of allegiance to any political anything but because hired a lawyer is evidence and this is a total miscarriage of corroboration of her claims, her justice and an abuse of power at then husband describes reade the highest levels of the department of justice. Recalling of Sexual Harassment episode in bidens office and that she eventually struck a sandra because we just heard from the president all all of this, he was asked about deal with the chief of staff of the Senators Office and left adam schiff, the Intel Committee her position. Chairman, and he shared his strong thoughts on the matter. Heres the president just a reade now claims, so the biden short time ago. Adam schiff is a crooked people are pushing back a lot harder than before saying this. Politician, one of the worst ive ever seen. This guy got up there and he every day, more and more lied and lied. I said we could sue him for inconsistencies arise. Women must receive the benefit of the doubt and come forward fraud and then they said no, and share their stories without because he did it in the halls fear of retribution or harm, and of congress, hes got immunity. We all have a responsibility to guys like that end up going ensure that. At the same time, we can never down. There crooked and bad. Sacrifice the truth, and biden himself last night told a local two months of the American People here that this morning to station down in florida that the truth here is that reades go back to your point about accountability and claims are flatout false. Responsibility, what ultimately do you see happening with all of ed peter doocy, thank you. This now that the flynn case has sandra . Been dropped . Sandra look at all of this final thoughts. Mean for the Biden Campaign . Thats a big question this morning as the presumptive adam schiff for years has democratic nominee looks towards been telling his supporters and november. All of america that he had that spring in the associated evidence of russian collusion editor for the wall street journal and that he couldnt share with the the fox news contributor. I want to throw up on the screen American People. Again, he was lying not only to here. Regular americans but to his own supporters and telling them these lies. And this is a guy who we now know not only did he not have obtained exclusively on several that secret evidence that he occasions, it says the petitioner related a problem she couldnt share with people, he was having at work regarding knew or should have known beyond Sexual Harassment. In u. S. Senator joe bidens any doubt and that all of his office, told me that she eventually struck a deal with claims about russian collusion the chief of staff at the in the case against Michael Flynn was complete bunk. Senators office and left her position. So that documented evidence that sandra and his words, she did talk about harassment in charlie hurt, fox news contributor. Good to have you on this morning, thank you. The office, that is evidence of her claim, although peter points you and i were there, out pointing out inconsistencies joe biden. Please step forward and be held with assault and harassment when it comes to that document. Accountable. You should not be running on shes talking about harassment with her husband and character for the president of the United States. You want him to withdraw. Her husband is saying in this i wish he would, but he document i believe that was a divorce proceeding that they wont. Were in the middle of that she ed tara reade speaking up shared this comment with him. For the first time today. At the end of the day, we are this has recently uncovered Court Documents now show reade still pretty much in the same position as we were several days did share her claims more than ago which is that as troubling 20 years ago with her then husband. Peter doocys life with the as these allegations are and i details. Good morning, peter. Think that democrats will take them with concern, this is not good morning. This newly unearthed document going to be something that just was written in 1996 by reades gets brushed to the side. The problem here is that shes exhusband during Divorce Proceedings and published by the claiming one thing, he is st. Louis tribune and in it, he denying it, and her document writes about a traumatic that she said she submitted to the senate when this happened Sexual Harassment episode he remembers her telling him about her time in bidens office. Either cant be found or the senate is saying we wouldnt be able to release it anyway even and that she eventually struck a if it were here, theyre not deal with the chief of staff of even confirming that its there. The Senators Office and left so the public is left very much her position. Now this document does not adrift here, there is not mention Sexual Assault which substantial evidence either way, reade claims now just and if she did submit a document Sexual Harassment which she said to the senate, you would think she did not mentioned in her that they would be an effort by initial complaint, a complaint that still not has been located if it exists at all. The Senate Republican controlled so now the Biden Campaign is senate to release this to show starting to push back harder evidence of this having against her allegations with happened, and it hasnt been released yet. This. Every day, more and more inconsistencies arise. Sandra so you go to the women must receive the benefit of the doubt tha and come forwao youth statement from bidens chief of staff on behalf of the share their stories without fear former Vice President saying of retribution or harm and we all have a responsibility to this, i have consistently said assure that. What is the truth here, that she at the same time, we can never never came to me. Sacrifice the truth. I do not remember her and had tara reade is so confident in she come to me in any of these her memory of these allegations, circumstances, i would remember now says she would do the same her, but i do not because she did not. So what does all this tell you thing, go under oath and publish about how the Biden Campaign the results of a lie detector test. Took a polygraph controlled made proceed from here considering we are entering by someone on her team, is that midmay in november quickly approaching. Just on that point that you something you want to do . Im not a criminal. Raised, she said she went to three people in the office, none today on joe biden schedule, of those three can remember her saying anything of this sort to he says he wants to give remarks them and two of them didnt remember her from this afternoon about the economy the wall street journals reporting. She did however mention it to the morning after his inaugural virtual rally was really slowed another intern on capitol hill, down by major technical and they have said yes, she did difficulties. Mention this. So theres little bits and pieces of data out there. In ed peter doocy, to the question of the campaign thank you. In the election, this is a hard sandra the unemployment one for the republicans to use rate heading 14. 7 in april now against biden because as you know, the president has a number in double digits. The highest since the of actual harassment and assault allegations against him and has Great Depression. It has ten more states are now set to ease some coronavirus spoken on tape of the language restrictions today including california and texas. Of Sexual Harassment. This latest jobs report so its very difficult for the revealing 20. 5 million jobs were republicans to use this against biden and the question is lost in april. In President Trump was whether or not its going to optimistic when he shared this on fox friends this morning corrode his support within the democratic party. Saying the economy will bounce i think the reason that you see back. The president flagging in the we can have a fantastic next polls now and dropping in the year, we will have a record or polls is not because biden is doing one thing or the other, almost record next year. We are going to have a this is much more right now all transition in the Third Quarter and is happening already. About the management problems that hes had with the covid19 crisis in the economy and the fact that we are at 14. 7 sandra liz claman from the Fox Business Network will join us for the opening bell as we unemployment. Finally, heres more from that interview with tara reade. Released from jail finally after she was sentenced for violating lockdown orders. She took a polygraph what prompted the reversal . Texas Lieutenant Governor dan controlled by someone on her patrick joins us next. Team. Is that something you want to i just want to thank all of do . Im not a criminal. You who i just barely met, and joe biden to take the polygraph. Now youre all my friends. Sandra final thought on that this morning . You mean so much to me. Joe biden has said he didnt and this would have been nothing do this, joe biden has said if without you. Papers were submitted to the senate, please release them, im hey not sure what polygraph one way thats mine. Or another would do, but again, ill buy you a pony. Advanced hydration isnt just for kids. Which is not a good thing for the Biden Campaign for this to pedialyte helps you hydrate during recovery. Be out there. The problem for tara reade is the documentation that she says would support her position either doesnt exist within the senate, maybe they cant find it or they have founded and there are rules that prevent them from releasing it, though thats kind home values are up, and Mortgage Rates are at record lows. Advanced hydration isnt just for kids. Of odd in this particular case. So we are stuck in this position thats good news for veterans with va loans. Thats me. Local authorities, and it was a giant overreach by this judge that showed no mercy and no compassion for a lady just trying to protect her employees and her business. Im a Small Business guy, when you take away someones business ed President Trump about to speak at a big ceremony in washington that will commemorate from them, you take everything they earned in their life and the 75th anniversary, ve day everything theyre going to marks a surrender of earn, she stood her ground and she broke the rules, should have been fine 50 bucks or so and nazi germany, a holiday very special for world war ii veteran who was reunited with his should never have gone to jail. Brother on this day in 1945 this judge was coldhearted. After they were separated at the ed i want to get to laredo battle of normandy. He is now recalling that but lets finish in the dallas emotional day. Area. When i heard footsteps the judge, the local judge has about a week or so, where do you running down the road to get think her case fines up . Home and he spotted this, we first of all, we have to look just threw her arms around each at this judge on a number of other. The last time id seen him was out in the field and normandy levels. It behind her. Ive never met the judge and so i think we cried. Ive never met shelley or talk to shelley. I got involved because we saw ed what an emotional story. Live in london with a look at this was a giant overreach. How this historic day is being i dont want to make it too remembered in the face of a new political but everywhere we see invisible enemy as a president in the country from the calls it, good morning. East coast of the west coast where you see seven to coney and measures coming from democrat good morning, and they should have been teeming with hundreds governors and county judges and of thousands of people all some attorney generals and coming down here to commemorate local mayors, this is not the the end of world war ii and america that we are and it sure celebrate that great victory against the but because of is not texas and he does not coronavirus, this centralized represent the way texans think location is eerily quiet. A 75 years ago, the world saw and most judges think. Just had no compassion or the Biggest Party they had seen them. Empathy whatsoever. Ed i will get to the radio and it came during the biggest war the world had seen, although in a moment but on that point when you bring in politics like the battle in the pacific arena that, when in these local was still raging, millions Officials Say hang on, you and celebrated across the u. S. In the u. K. , today in a more muted Governor Abbott had these stayathome orders. Way that is being remembered and certainly not justifying throwing winning in jail over continued. Across the u. K. , there have been cutting peoples hair or ceremonies, Prince Charles whatever you want to name here, laying a wreath on the half of Queen Elizabeth, Boris Johnson but you issued these doing the same at downing stayathome orders and theyre street, going to see just trying to follow orders and keep people safe. President trump soon commemorating the dead and there my son who is now a u. S. Have been celebrations across attorney was a criminal court judge and he was a tough judge, the u. K. Including by the but he also understood mercy and compassion and an important key Aerobatic Team and by here, discernment. World war ii vintage spitfires, every judge has to have a lot of but moving forward, it changes from remembering the dead to quality. Is not an easy job. Celebrating that victory. But this judge showed no again at social distance levels discernment whatsoever. Have been allowed by the police and remember, he didnt send her and people encouraged to to jail because she violated the order. Celebrate. He sent her to jail because she i hate came after six long years of war when the finally wouldnt grovel and apologized surrendered and millions lost to him, apologize to him. Their lives including over a quarter million americans in who does this guy think he is . Europe and africa alone. He couldnt have happened this woman stood her ground and if i had been a judge, i without them. When the u. S. Came in and turn the tide of that war, 75 years wouldve said you broke the executive order. Ago today, king george the im going to find you 50 bucks, second gave her a radio address get back and take care of your to the nation and exactly 75 employees and families. Last point here in the final minute, as i understand that you this is a solemn but glorious have a manicurist and someone who is doing Eyelash Services and the other point on this is hour. I wish that franklin d. Roosevelt had lived that it was basically neighbors to see this day. Snitching and telling the police theyre doing this, lets go get them. Sandra president harry truman this shows you how quickly addressing the nation 7 75 years ago announcing the end of world war ii in europe. We should see the president and days in jail, 180 days for the first lady shortly at the growing eyelashes rate of people celebration, but what were your thoughts since he listened to those famous words from that had their eyelashes done. President truman . All i know is our barbershop, i most of the people alive today really did not experience have not had an air cut for a week for the last time that world war ii, and when you start happened was in the 70s so im looking forward to getting my to think about it, it is the haircut today. But im glad these women are seminal event of the 20th okay. Century and its the scale of it ed absolutely, im looking forward to a haircut as well. That just grasps you appear to Lieutenant Governor patrick. You need one, was going to make that comment. Had 15 nations involved in this ed meantime next hour, we conflict. Will speak to Shelley Luthers we had 70 million troops attorney whether she chooses to pursue further legal action or involved, 17 million of them dont miss it. Were killed, fortunately only 400,000 of them were americans. Sandra meanwhile, moments away from the opening bell on we had somewhere in the wall street on this friday neighborhood the civilian morning. Liz claman will be joining us as estimates are shaky because its difficult to get a hold of all wall street reacts to the of them but somewhere in the highest Unemployment Rate since the Great Depression. Neighborhood and its beyond brandnew embers out this comprehension around 60 to morning, but there arent some 70 million civilians were killed and why was that . Bright spots that we will point because we were no longer out. Plus, three marines hailed for fighting wars away from civilian bravery after stopping an unruly populations. World war ii changed warfare. We are fighting in and around passenger making threats on an international flight. Civilian populations. One of those heroes will be strategic assets where cities joining us live straight ahead. And towns that were being taken and civilians were certainly right in the midst of it, something we had never seen on a scale like that. The second thing that strikes me as the leaders. The leaders themselves. We had hitler who started it in europe and we had starting in the pacific family have roosevelt and truman and churchill and stalin who ended it. And what happened, the rest of the 20th century was meet jim. For jim, comfort is king. Fundamentally changed by this event. We had two superpowers who which is why when it comes to his dentures became accelerants by war, their only new poligrip cushion and comfort will do. Economies and their military the first and only formula with adaptagrip prowess put them on the world cushioning technology. Stage in a way that they had choose new poligrip cushion and comfort. Never had before and at least in the case of the United States, we were not seeking that role but it befell thomas. The two great superpowers stood facing each other with nuclear weapons, but because everybody who was an adult at that time who owned those weapons new what that war was like that they had just ended and knew the next one would be worse if these superpowers ever clashed, so war was prevented not just by those leaders and nuclear weapons, but also i think it gave rise to International Organizations to try to prevent war. The United Nations for example, the world bank, the International Monetary fund, nato itself standing up against the warsaw pact and then i think the United States did something ive never seen in history before. We went back to germany and japan, the two countries that killed hundreds of thousands of americans and wounded much more than that, and we recovered those countries, brought them back and they have thriving democracies today and flourishing in capitalism as well. Extraordinary events as a result of world war ii and the leaders certainly made such a huge difference not only in bringing about this calamity, but ending and let me tell you something, rodeo. It and also setting the world on i wouldnt be here if i thought reverse mortgages took advantage a much better stage after it. Of any american senior, or worse, that it was some way to take your home. Trust aag for the best reverse mortgage solutions. And Washington Monument representing the start of our country as world war ii kept his so you can. Aggression away from the retire better. American people. Sandra more on those veterans that will be joining the president , i want to get to your thoughts on this, gregory 97 years old of phoenix sent a coded message of the world that the germans had unconditionally surrendered. As you see the president arriving there at the memorial in washington im also participants in the dday invasion that turned the tide in the war include Stephen Miller f maryland, Harold Anglin 97 of pennsylvania. What a moment and a site this is, lets all take this in together. Weve worked to provide you with the financial strength, stability, and online tools you need. And now its no different. Because helping you through this crisis is what were made for. Ed, we are watching this together, general jack keane is joining us as well as we are about to see the president and the first lady. Sandra that is the opening bell ringing on wall street on this friday morning as we cap ed its interesting another week looking at markets because just yesterday he declared this national day of this morning, the dow up 333 prayer and the first lady participating there at the white house for that and points, the april jobs report is general keane, this is a moment for the commanderinchief to out good as expected, a horrific try and bring this nation month it was for americas labor together. This is an extraordinary market. A record 20. 5 million jobs were lost in april as the time, ed. Covid19, weve never had an experience where the entire world is dealing with one event Unemployment Rate jumps to 14. 7 . Since world war ii and thats that is the highest since the what covid19 represents to us in terms of this global Great Depression. Liz claman joining us now, pandemic, so it is an anchor of the claimant count extraordinary moment given what down on the Fox Business Network the world in this country is and even though those horrific dealing with and we are numbers have now been reported, remembering the past and the the market seems to be going up scale of that major events. Quite a moment for the preside president. Perhaps betting that the worst when that weve seen the may be behind us. Mobilization, General Motors and other Great American Companies Good morning. There is one component within pulling together to manufacture this report for the month ventilators, manufacture masks, of april which is totally the president this week venturing out for the first time in a couple of months outside of disastrous that its probably promoting this market to the washington and outside of the upside bringing in some of the white house to go to arizona for one of those mask manufacturing bullish players, and that is the fact that 18 million of the 20 plants, and it does also bring you back to world war ii when we and a half Million People who have lost their jobs in a month, had the arsenals of democracy where these Great American companies were helping with the war effort. 18 million have described themselves as temporarily laid all Major Industrial off. Meaning they do actually believe companies were part of the war that they will be hired back and machine effort. Automobile companies were making the tanks and trucks, everything thats because the entire economy was told to shutter. For the war effort. Thats a really good point here, the shipbuilding industry was so if youre looking for a tiny turned into making battleships, little positive movement here, aircraft carriers, destroyers, it is from that portion of a submarines, et cetera. Everybody in this country to very big report that looks pretty disastrous. Some degree was involved in this major war effort. Sandra thats right, and we had women in the workforce on a scale we had never seen the weight of job losses we are before. Seeing glimmers of hope there is ed lets pause for a moment and watch the president and the first lady. Flowing as we slowly claw our way out of this. We also historically look at oil and gasoline demand as an indication of what is happening with the economy and perhaps thats a bright spot as well. Heres a headline in the wall street journal this morning. As states reopen, thirst for gasoline returns. You will make her see gradual recovery in demand as coronavirus restrictions ease but warning next month could be tough so at least for now, are we starting to see some of that pickup in demand as restrictions ease hunt some folks get back to work and get back on the road and driving the car . What i would turn to is i would look at number and left. [taps playing] will burgess came out with its earnings yesterday and very interesting, they do have to lay off more than 1,000 people and you can tell its heartbreaking for the company. I will tell you that one of the points that jumped out at me with that is he said the writer volume is moving up from what he saw in april. I think that is certainly a decent site here. Both of them sang the volume of people picking up the phone and saying i like to get back in an uber because my area of the country might be reopening, so you will start to see gasoline sales begin to follow but be cautious here because gasoline has simply fallen off a cliff. I dont know about you, i have been filled up my car and five and a half weeks. But going into this weekend which is mothers day, i just want to get in the car and drive. So by the same token, watch out for things like the green energy economy, meaning you now have people who will be using the scooters more, uber said it was investing more in the scooter business and rental bike business because they dont want to expose themselves to drivers or public transportation. Where there are losers, they were winners. People got to hang on and hope. Really interesting and perspective is everything is well. As you know, the unemployment sandra President Trump and the first lady marking 75 years rate reported for april was not since the end of world war ii in as high as the average of analyst predictions and the europe after the world war ii number of jobs lost also was not memorial in washington, d. C. As high as predicted. General jack keane is still joining us and these veterans supposed to be over 21 million with whom the president is but the real Unemployment Rate speaking with now and saying high back to each one of them, headline that comes out of this, they were faced with the the real Unemployment Rates for those workers that are no longer challenge of traveling amid the looking for work as there is a covid19 outbreak and faced with the risk they said they want to be there, supposed to be overseas but they said will be 22. 8 , but President Trump was there at the memorial, saying on fox news a short time ago. They viewed the commemoration as he believes in his economists a blessing to all who fought, are advising him, larry kudlow coming up, advising that this died, and served in economy will bounce back and world war ii. What a moment for us all to take that the jobs will return. This and as americans. A final thoughts this morning as we see the dow up 288 points. Absolutely. I cant imagine letting any listen, youve got to belie impediment stop them from getting to this event where they would be able to honor all of believe. This is an incredibly violent experience for the u. S. Economy, their teammates and also share but it may be an equally in this experience with the dramatic bump up off the ground president and the American People, nothing would keep them once things come back. From this event, not covid19 or the question becomes what happens in the fall. The obstacle of travel. Theyre here because they want to be there in their heart is will be tackling all of that really here. Each day on the fox business but it is a moment in time where you have to look and say this is sandra go ahead, add. Ed i was just thinking hopefully a century of about the national day of prayer experience ones and 100 years or once in 200 years and just hang as well, sandra and in there. As you look at the markets general keane. Tweeted overnight as our nation youre bouncing back, markets heals, our spirit has never been tend to seem four to six months out. Stronger in general, as you suggested a moment ago, there is in this Economic Data is Rearview Mirror looking so that a chance to pause and reflect on what weve been through and its should be a little bit encouraging certainly. Been a remarkable couple of sandra really something to months and its not over yet. See the dow back above 24,000. He will count as down to the thats absolutely the case and what a learning experience closing bell on the Fox Business Network. Thank you, liz. For everybody, for american citizens around the world, for and as i just mentioned next the leaders of all of these hour, we will get brandnew countries, no one had the reaction from the white house, answers at the beginning but everyone has better answers now National Economic Council Director larry kudlow will be joining us to discuss the as a result of whats transpired and the way this country has administrations plan for the economic recovery. Responded and the leaders throughout the country is really what do they plan to do moving quite remarkable. Forward to get things back online. Ed this fox news alert sandra just the highlight from georgia, President Trump the eight world war ii veterans, age 96, they were asked to join reacting to the video of that the president at the memorial incident that sparked nationwide today and general keane, talk about the memorial in the outrage. Different way we are seeing this i saw the tape and its very disturbing. Looks like a really good young day at the conclusion of world war ii in europe, 75 years ago, the way we are celebrating guy and it looks its a very disturbing situation to me and today, things are obviously looking much different amid the my heart goes out to the parents at the family on the friends. Ed the president calls pandemic here in the that disturbing. United states, but still the a Steve Harrigan live in atlanta president said it was so important for him to honor those with more. Good morning, the georgia veterans and to arrive at the bureau of investigation acting memorial today. Very quickly just 24 hours after the police made no arrests over we are a very patriotic 74 days. They arrested two white men in country, unabashedly selling one the murder case against of the definitions of that patriotism is never to forget 25yearold black man, ahmaud arbery. The shooting took place in those who have sacrificed so southern georgia back in much for the country to be one february. Only got National Attention after a video of the shooting of those today. Was posted. And we have done this for the dailymail. Com photos show generations and honoring our dead. Even includes those back during Gregory Mcmichael and his son travis being let out of their the civil war and the home in handcuffs. Revolutionary war. In a meeting with florida africanamerican leaders, a so this is a remarkable moment virtual meeting, former Vice President joe biden said for america. Weve always made this commitment, we have never the shooting was a modernday forgotten and honored those who lynching. Shot down in cold blood, sacrificed to help this country be a great country that it is, right before our very eyes. And its being celebrated around so plainly and unmistakably the world, and many of the without mercy. The event started with a 911 countries suffered so much more in the war than we did because call that reported a black man running through the neighborhood who had been inside an open air their civilian populations were in the war and they were targeted by the war. Construction site. The mcmichaels father and son and even in germany today while got in their pickup truck armed there celebrating the end of the with a shotgun and a handgun and try to chase ahmaud down. War, they are also celebrating in their words the liberation of a scuffle ensued and the shotgun germany from nazism. Was fired three times and arbery which polluted their society for a generation. And thats a very important was dead. The senior mcmichael is a former Police Officer and has distinction that they have about this day has much as we have in ties the law enforcement. One of the prosecutors said the terms of defeating nazism. Shooting was in selfdefense and no arrest should be made. Arbery was unarmed and said the ed when you look at that former High School Football memorial youve been noting in standout enjoyed running. Today would have been his 26th washington, set up so you can see those columns of individual birthday. Back to you. States, all of these remarkable ed Steve Harrigan, young people in america who came thank you. Forward to serve this great country and we had on the screen sandra attorney general bill barr defending his decision a moment ago that there were to drop the case against former National Security advisor fewer than 400,000 living Michael Flynn. As a do things go from here . World war ii vets in america now, so many dying off every senator rick scott will join us single month and obviously many next. Senior citizens have been targeted by this virus, and you once i saw all the facts and wonder how we make sure that we some of the tactics used by the keep their memories alive and fbi in this instance and also that we never forget their sacrifice. That memorial is a way to do the legal problems, it was an that for sure, and im completely convinced it will easy decision. Continue on this day and other days like it and that monument is absolutely beautiful and so majestic, and every veteran that goes there i think theyve never forgotten their experience, most of the world war ii experience with defining Life Experiences for them and thats the reality of it. Many were involved in this war for many years and even if they were only involved in it for a year, the intensity of the conflict that befell them was so significant, and it did set them on a different path as a result of this conflict that took pla place. So im convinced we will continue to honor them, and commanding the airborne which was significantly in world war ii, i have been around world war ii veterans for years, and i have a Close Association with a number of them and i tell you, ive never met a group of people that i more admired in my life and it was just so enjoyable to be around those who were still alive and many of them who were no longer alive. They became my friends and my js in every sense of the word the ree reef now honoring the casualties of war. What does it mean to you and to those eight veterans who are there with the president , to have the president stop for this moment and acknowledge the enormous sacrifice that was made with so much happening in this country right now and the president and the first lady obviously making this the priority today . I think those veterans, they feel fortunate to have lived this long and they think of it how often they have said goodbye to one of their teammates that shared in this world war ii experience. They have probably spent the last 30 years giving that, and here they stand right now, and i think it is those memories that are very much alive in them, the spirit of their teammates who went into this for and faced it together, and its the only way you can deal with that level of fear, the only way you can cope with it is to be there for your teammates had and what drives you forward and keeps you doing whats being asked of you is that you dont want to let your teammates down. Thats what gives you the courage to move forward under fire even though you know by moving forward, theres a high likelihood youre going to be killed. And that is in intensity that they experienced and they will never, ever forget. And the emotion of those moments and the fear of those moments and what they shared with each other. Ed we continue to watch the president of the United States and the first lady talking as they taken the world war ii memorial in washington, d. C. , marking the 75th anniversary of ve day. A moment ago, the president and if you have moderate to severe psoriasis, first lady, it was a remarkable. Little things. Can become your big moment. Shot of them taking in the memorial with the thats why theres otezla. Lincoln memorial just down the otezla is not a cream. Its a pill that treats plaque psoriasis differently. Way, and on the world war ii memorial was that simple sign, with otezla, 75 clearer skin is achievable. Here we mark the price of dont use if youre allergic to otezla. Freedom. What does that mean to you . It may cause severe diarrhea, nausea or vomiting. Just think of it, what we otezla is associated were up against. With an increased risk of depression. Tell your doctor if you have a history of depression we were up against formidable or suicidal thoughts or if these feelings develop. Military powers in the pacific some people taking otezla reported weight loss. Represented by japan who at the beginning of that war had a much your doctor should monitor your weight larger navy, had more troops and may stop treatment. Upper respiratory tract infection under arms and we did, the and headache may occur. German war machine the world had tell your doctor about your medicines, and if youre pregnant or planning to be. Never seen anything like that more machine before. Otezla. Show more of you. The odds were actually against us, and we persevered. Before world war ii, under arms in the United States army, we had less than 300,000. We had no money to do any training. Sandra a 19yearold College Student finds 135,000 and we grew that into 16 million in cash by an atm sunday then he from under 300,000, 16 million called the police right away. From all services participated Albuquerque Police thinking him in that conflict, all of them for doing the right thing and had to be trained, all of them came from every walk of life to say they plan to offer him a job be involved in something and as a Public Safety officer. None of them had been involved studying criminal justice right now, the money was mistakenly in anything like this in their entire life before but yet they left there by a bank came together, follow their subcontractor who was supposed to fill up the atm with all that orders, they persevered and achieved one of the greatest victories in the history of man cash. They made it a very, very mankind. Its absolutely unacceptable and what it wouldve meant if they dangerous situation and been had won. Able to maneuver it but it was a and here, they gave birth to very dangerous situation what they did. Freedom, freedom that we are all living through this day as a these are dirty politicians and dirty cops and some horrible result of what they were willing people and hopefully theyre to sacrifice. Going to pay a big price them day in the nottoodistant sandra he was the president and the first lady, future. Ed President Trump on concluding their walk around the memorial there, laid the wreath, fox friends, the doj dropping its case against Michael Flynn now after internal honor those veterans and spoke memos were released that raise serious questions about the fbi to the eight world war ii veterans that were there present probe. Today. General keane, its a wonderful to have you join us through all joining is now a of this today. Senator rick scott. What a shame, isnt it . Your final thoughts as the president wraps his time there at the memorial . This is the opposite of what you expect out of your government. My final thought is the is is clearly political bias spirit that we saw on display is alive and well in this country. With the fbi so im glad ive always had faith in the bill barr is doing the right American People, and theyve thing. Ed this is a always driven me. Wall street journal editorial when i was on active duty all my drops the prosecution with a new years, i always believed i was evidence about the fbi. Answering to the American People, and i was absolutely we recommend the filing for proud to serve them and i think readers who think this couldnt happen in america. Recounts the fbi mr. Flynn had the American People stand strong today, their spirit is alive that we saw on display during world war ii. Colluded with russia but the fbi its been passed on from one generation to another, and we kept the investigation open have leaders who grow out of after it received a transcript that to understand what this of mr. Flynns conversation with the Russian Ambassador to the country is, what the constitution is, and its the u. S. So that begs the question, was people who elect them, its the this a fishing expedition . People who are the strength of you know he didnt break the this country, and that is what i law. You shouldve told the truth of the fbi and he said he was draw from this moment. Ed general, we can hear the emotion and your voice as confused, but was it just a you talk about your own Service Fishing expedition . Here is what we. We know the cold the fbi was to this great nation. Talking about these important issues all around the world but bias. Its important for us to reflect your own great service, 38 years using that process to spy on the Trump Campaign and then when to america. We probably dont say it enough, they were shocked that but thank you, sir. President trump won, they go after people like Michael Flynn. Great talking to the both of you today. This is what the obama ed it just remarkable to administration did. Lets not forget, look at what hear general keane reflect on the irs did, they went after that. Conservative groups. So this is wrong and people need sandra absolutely. Ed the nation tries to mobilize to battle this virus. To be held accountable. This is not what people expect out of their federal government. Sandra that concludes the ed in terms of ceremony at the memorial barron, accountability, they believe washington, d. C. As the president returns to the white house. Well be right back. Theyre righting a wrong. Here he is. Ill let you react. Ive got great news for veteran homeowners. Initially tried some theories of how they could open another investigation which didnt fly but then found out they had not technically closed the earlier investigation and they kept it if you have a va loan, nows the time to call newday usa. Open for the express purpose of trying to catch only a perjury their va streamline refi helps you take advantage trap for general flynn. Of some of the lowest Mortgage Rates weve ever seen. One call to newday can save you 2000 a year. Ed you also had fisa, these haves intelligence one call can lower your payments by this time next month transcripts are spilling out, and it turns out that without verifying your income, adam schiff and other democrats knew that there was not without getting your home appraised, and without one dollar out of pocket. Collusion between the Trump Campaign in russia and yet the its the quickest and easiest loan newdays ever offered. Investigation went on and on. So my question to you is this one call can save you 2000 a year, every year. Prosecutor is looking at all of this. They use the word accountability. Are we finally going to get accountability and will there be criminal prosecutions . If we want people to trust their federal government, the Justice Department and there has to be accountability. You did it, they would want to hold you accountable so why shouldnt they be held accountable . Having the exact same views, there will be accountability here. Ed part of these Court Documents that are spilling out, we learned that sally yates who had been the obama Justice Department pulled over into the investigation said in these documents that she was informed by then president barack obama in early january 2017 before President Trump had been inaugurated about these conversations between general flynn and the Russian Ambassador begging the question how high up did this go . Sally yates seemed surprised that it was president obama telling her about those calls. Its pretty shocking. We have to get all the facts. But heres what we know, we know the Obama Administration had political bias against conservative groups. There are agencies that target people. That cannot happen again in this country. The only way to stop this is Holding People accountable so it will not happen again. Ed appreciate you coming on today, thank you sir. Sandra marines jumping into action how these three were able to restrain a disruptive passenger on board an international flight. Captain daniel cult was one of those heroes on that plane. He will join us live to tell us how that all went down. [squawks] only pay for what you need. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Eh, not enough fiber. Chocolate would be good. Snacking should be sweet and simple. The delicious taste of glucerna gives you the sweetness you crave while helping you manage your blood sugar. With nutrients to help support immune health. Speaking to well, ed, it was or markable to share that moment with you and general jack keane, too, for the 75th anniversary of the end of world war ii in europe. We all took it in together. When a moment that was. Ed it really was, to really reflect on the sacrifice of so many, to basically save with Mortgage Rates at record homlows, s. With nutrients to help our freedom. That makes it hard for me to transition to coffee cake, but one call to newday can save you 2000 a year. Look, at the end of i promise at the beginning of the week. Its that simple. With their va streamline refi, theres no Income Verification sandra [laughs] you have to ed i was going have an or home appraisal. I just wanted to end by saying the coffeecake was great. Happy mothers day to your mom, to my mom, and most of all happy mothers day to you. Have a good weekend. Sandra did such a great thing, happy mothers day. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. And to all the moms out there, its tough times. Youre doing a great job. I think i sent this message out on fox friends. Hang in there and thank you for all that you do. We love all the mothers out there. Ed all the things going on. Moms are normally juggling a lot, and a whole lot going on for moms and dads. Well never forget that. Have a wonderful mothers day. Ill see you on monday. Sandra you, too, ed. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. Outnumbered starts right now. Harris we begin with this fox news alert. We are awaiting the White House Press briefing this hour, amid fastmoving developments in the russia investigation. Attorney general bill barr is defending the justice to permit decision to seek a dismissal of its criminal case against President Trumps former National Security advisor Michael Flynn. Ag barr says fbi officials said a perjury trap for flynn. And that there was no basis to investigate him in the first place. W pp89k0nowii;c÷wco3 [a this virus is testing all of us. A crime cannot be established, here. They did not have a basis for and its testing the people on the front lines the counterintelligence of this fight most of all. Investigation against flynn. So abbott is getting new tests into their hands, people sometimes plead to things delivering the critical results they need. That turn out not to be crimes and until this fight is over, we. Will. Never. Quit. Because they never quit. Sandra you may have heard the story by now, three marines jumping into action on a flight from japan to texas when a disruptive passenger was making threats then locked himself into the bathroom. The Flight Attendant unlocked the door and the marines quickly restrained that man for the rest of the trip. Captain daniel colt was one of those three marines on board. Im being hailed a hero when he joins us this morning. Thank you so much for being he here. Im glad to be here. Sandra what a story this is. Can you first tell us how this all went down . He was a routine flight back home to the states, the three of us were allowed to go home early from deployment. We got approved to move during the military stop order and then what started out as a normal flight suddenly about halfway through turned into an interesting one where there was this individual who barricaded himself in the restroom, started yelling some alarming and threatening things and then we eventually decided to step in and help the flight crew take care of the situation. Sandra i read that youve gathered into a tactical stack outside of that laboratory that he had locked himself into to try to stop him from going anywhere, but also to protect the rest of the passengers. Describe how you and your fellow marines approached the man ultimately. So it was kind of funny when the three of us talked afterwards, we all realize that we were halfasleep with her headphones and watching a movie so it took us a while to realize what was going on but by the time we figured it out, moved over to the bathroom and we just kind of naturally positioned ourselves in a manner to be prepared for him to come out or for us to go in and then pretty much we told the Flight Attendant to unlock the door and we take care of the rest. So i grabbed the guy, pulled them out into the hands of the surgeon and then we got him down to the ground and zip tied in. Sandra that is just amazing and by telling that story, realizing all three of you are different ranks, but i know youve described that you are all prepared for a situation like this but the crew members on board stepped in too because those zip ties were not in your possession, one of the crewmembers said ive got these and you ultimately use those zip ties to stop him from going any further. Thats correct. The Flight Attendant already had the zip ties in his hand by the time he reached the door so i think he knew what was going to happen next and then he actually was the first person to zip tie him the first time, so that Flight Attendant helped as well be held him down and then got to that second one so luckily had a couple of extras so we had to zip tie him a second time and actually duct taped into the chair which the crew was able to provide as well. Sandra your battalion commanders responded to all of the attention that you and your fellow marines have received and said i knew all three of them and he calls you men of action. Did you ever see anything like this happening . Absolutely not, especially just trying to go home. Youre on a flight just watching movies, you dont expect to have to be on alert, so that was one thing i never thought would happen to me personally. I always see stories of Service Members doing some kind of act to help out but i dont think either of us saw that coming. Sandra its an amazing story, thank you so much for your time this morning and thank you for your service and thank you for stepping in and protecting a lot of those passengers on board and the crew, thank you. Thanks for having me. Ed perfect transition, it is a ve day marking 75 years since the end of world war ii in europe. President trump will take part in the ceremony this morning honoring our troops. And 20. 5 million jobs lost, the worst monthly job loss on the record as the coronavirus takes a devastating toll on the economy. So with many states reopening, will things start to get better from here . We will talk about it with the administrations top Economic Advisor larry kudlow straight ahead. Sandra meanwhile, a stunning reversal as a Justice Department moves to drop the criminal case against President Trumps former National Security advisor general Michael Flynn. Welcome to a brandnew hour of americas newsroom, happy to say its friday morning. Im sandra smith. Ed im ed henry. The Justice Department finding that the fbi interview of general flynn that led to the charges against him was unjustified and conducted without any legitimate investigative basis. Those are their words concluding prosecutors could not prove their case, the attorney general william barr defending that decision. It was an easy decision, yes. I think easy because once i saw all of the facts and some of the tactics used by the fbi in this instance and also the legal problems with the case, it was an easy decision. Sandra earlier this morning, President Trump spoke about all of this on fox friends. It was just a total hoax, a made up story, a disgrace to our nation. Was a very dangerous situation what they did. These are dirty politicians and dirty cops and some horrible people and hopefully theyre going to pay a big price someday in the nottoodistant future. Ed not to the fallout on capitol hill, good morning, ch chad. Good morning, ed. This was a big case by the special counsel, prosecutors wanted to know why Michael Flynn lied about talking with the Russian Ambassador and republicans now are questioning why this happened in the first place. As soon as this case is dismissed, we will be pursuing the Flynn Investigation to try to explain how it got so off the rails starting with offering general flynn a chance to come to the committee and tell what it was like to go through this. Republicans are ramping up their probe of what they believe were Justice Department abuses unfairly targeting those close to the president. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says attorney general barrs politicization of justice knows no bounds. The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee jerry nadler has scheduled for an oversight hearing that was postponed due to the pandemic. A no really wants to hear from barcomb house Intelligence Committee chairman adam schiff sees a pattern. Bill barr once again doing the political dirty work for the president in making this go away that the president tried to get jim comey to make go away and then fired him when he went in. Try to get Jeff Sessions to go away and he wouldnt. This comes as a house Intelligence Committee last night released 6,000 pages of more than 50 interviews in the original brush or pro back in 2017 and 2018 and even democrats interviewed for that investigation say that they saw no direct evidence of russian collusion in 2016. Ed may be more documents coming, thank you. Sandra joining us for more on all of this, chris wallace. Good morning, thank you so much for being here. Well get your reaction to all of that, but first, more from bill barr and that brandnew cbs interview reacting. Of crime cannot be established here. People sometimes plead to things that turned out not to be crim crimes. Sandra what does all of this tell us about what happens next . We heard a bit from Lindsey Graham they are about people, politicians being held accountable after all the years of this. What it tells you, sandra, and good morning is the partisan divide in washington if you are Lindsey Graham if you are a supporter of the president , you think that the entire russia investigation was a hoax, and you think that the fbis decision to interview Michael Flynn at a particular point about his conversation with the Russian Ambassador, when the set up in an effort to try to get him to commit perjury and then discharged with it. If you are a critic and you heard jerry nadler there before, you think this has been a legitimate investigation, you think that you know the fact that Michael Flynn wasnt convicted, he pled guilty twice to lying not only about russia but also about his dealings with turkey while he was a National Security advisor to candidate trump in the event that bill barr is more of a personal attorney than for the president than the attorney general as i say. The partisan divide continues, and this will only increase th that. Sandra fox news reporting yesterday that adam schiff was in panic mode after the revelations of some of those brandnew documents and the American People were able to see some of the depths of those conversations. You go back to adam schiff claiming that he had evidence of collusion. He is responding to the doj moving to drop this case and a brandnew tweed he says this. Flynn pled guilty to lying to the fbi about illicit russian contacts. His allies do not now become truths. This dismissal does not exonerate him, but it does incriminate bill barr in the worst politicization of the Justice Department in its history. Chris . As i said, the partisan divide is if anything even deeper. In terms of adam schiff, it was always in embarrassment because these interviews that were done, republicans were in charge of the house Intelligence Committee then was the chair back in 2017 and 18 before democrats took control of the house, nancy pelosi became a speaker and adam schiff took control. During that period met, he came out and said he had hard evidence of collusion between the president and the russians, then candidate trump and the russians, and he was called by a lot of us on that when the Mueller Report came out and couldnt make a case about collusion when you see the actual interviews with a number of people including James Clapper who had been the head of the director of National Intelligence during the Obama Administration, all of them saying they didnt have hard evidence of collusion. Just raises the question as to what was the basis on which adam schiff said that in the first place. Sandra meanwhile, i want to transition now to joe biden and the accusations against him by tara reade. Megyn kelly sitting down and a brandnew interview asking this key question. Would you go under oath . Absolutely. Would you do that . Absolutely. They also point out that she took a polygraph controlled by someone on her team. Is that something you want to do . Im not a criminal. Joe biden should take the polygraph. You want him to withdraw. I wish he would, but he wont. Thats how i feel emotionally. Do you want an apology . I think its a little late. Sandra obviously made a lot of headlines. Whats your reaction to that this morning . Tara reade listening to her she is a credible person. She sounds like a serious person and she makes her case for the fact that she was a victim of harassment and Sexual Assault. On the other hand in the end, i think youve got a much stronger case than Christine Blasey ford because there is many more instances of people saying that she told them contemporaneously about this happening. Christine blasey ford didnt tell anybody for a quartercentury or more but in the end, theres no hard evidence. Its his word against her word, and there doesnt seem to be the kind of reaction from democrats that indicates that they are going to jump ship on joe biden or try to force him out as a democratic nominee in contradiction, i will say to how they reacted to the kavanaugh case where they said accusers must be believed, her here there saying they must be listened to and checked out and there is no smoking gun. There is no Firm Evidence that what she said happen happen. So i look back at this and i say she accused kavanaugh and he is on the supreme court. A number of women accused on the front, he is on the white house. And my guess is despite harry reids accusations that unless something dramatic comes out that joe biden is going to end up as a democratic nominee. Sandra interesting take on all of that period of meanwhile, what this all means for 2020 is a big question and how joe biden has been able to handle the restrictions due to the coronavirus. He held this virtual reality, virtual tamper rally, there was a lot of awkward moments, lets listen to this together and ill get your thoughts on the other side. Please welcome Vice President joe biden. Introduced me . Good evening. Thank you so much for tuning in. I wish we could have done this together and it couldve gone a a little more smoothly. Sandra just to be clear, that was not our Technical Glitch. Those with a Technical Glitch is that he had to overcome. Did they introduce me yet . Am i on . We were all experiencing those problems as we work from home and joe biden as well but how is this going to affect his run for the presidency . Someone made the case that it could be a good thing but that was kind of awkward. It was awkward. Im glad you pointed out we have had some Technical Glitch is ourselves and we are professional broadcasters. This new world of new Technology Works remarkably well but it doesnt work perfectly. In terms of biden and in being a captive in his tv studio basement, one expects at some point thats going to end. We are still six months from the election so i dont know that thats going to be a big deal in the end, and some would say that given that biden does have a record for messing up, for malapropisms that may be to the degree that he is flying under the radar right now, it works to his benefit and not against it. Right now, he is leading in almost all the polls so maybe the basement is a pretty good place for him to be right now. Sandra i guess that is going to be well see as the months go on. Chris wallace, always good to see you, thank you. You bet, thank you, sandra. Ed in the meantime, releasing a second video now showing captured former u. S. Special forces soldiers. In the video, one of the americans is allegedly detailing his role in a planned coup, this according to the venezuelan president himself denied by the u. S. Government. Chris jenkins is live from our d. C. Bureau with the latest details. More captive videos emerging, these are the second former being interrogated by members of the regime and in one of the videos acknowledging he knows his actions were illegal detailing the failed coup mission in which he says it was outlined in a contract signed by the ringleader and selfproclaimed architect of this operation, also a former green beret wh who is working wh venezuelas opposition. Barry was detained with fellow green beret who said he believed their role was to secure an airport that could be used to transfer to the u. S. After capture. Earlier this morning on fox friends, President Trump was asked about and heres what he says. This was a who broke a group that went in there, people from other countries as a group of people that when in, and saw their pictures on a beach. Wasnt led by general george washington, obviously. This was not a good attack and i think they were caught before they ever hit land, but i know nothing about it. Id say the government has nothing to do with it at all. Vowing to use every tool they get the two americans released and hes wearing different clothes and appears disheveled as he is questioned about secretary pompeos comments and then there is this according to the wall street journal, they both appear to give physical cues by looking around that they are under duress. We will see and more about that developing. Meanwhile democratic lawmakers are starting to demand from the administration they share any information they may have on this attack. Ed griff jenkins, thank you. Sandra for more on that dallas salon owner jailed for refusing to close down the salon, now released amid outrage over the justices decision. Well be speaking to her attorney about that case coming up. Plus, the toll of the pandemic on the u. S. Economy is the Unemployment Rate surges and the u. S. Loses a Record Number of jobs in april. So is the worst over and how long will it take to turn things around . White house Economic Advisor larry kudlow is ready to go and will be joining us next to way again. I think theres a pause in the form of negotiations, going to take a look of things at the end of may and early june and see where we are in the economy. Pedialyte helps you hydrate during recovery. Sandra fox news alert on the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic. The Unemployment Rate in the u. S. Surging to 14. 7 , the highest rate since the Great Depression. In u. S. Employers cutting 20. 5 million jobs during the month also setting a record for the postworld war ii era. Joining us now, larry kudlow. Good morning and thank you so much for being here on americas newsroom. Its really something to see those numbers and its amazing to think that we were all sitting here just a few months ago talking about the booming u. S. Economy and here we are now with double digit unemployment as a result of all of this. Is a tough story, a lot of heartbreak, a lot of hardship in those numbers we saw today. This is of course a function of the virus in the pandemic. I think of it more as a pandemic because i dont think the economic policies because this at all. In fact, economic policies gave us a rolling recovery. We were growing at 3 at an annual rate in the first two months of this year, believe it or not, january and february and then here we are. So this is difficult, very difficult. In a couple of quick things, according to estimates from the Economic Advisors here, about three quarters of this job loss in april, looks like temporary layoffs expected to return to their job, that means neither will be paid by the ppe program, the payroll protection program, or in some cases unemployment or in some cases the Economic Impact assistance checks, so weve done the best we can, President Trump has assembled what a mass a 9 trillion rescue plan working with congress in a bipartisan way, Federal Reserve lending and money creation, its not something you want to do year in and year out, thats for sure, but it is something you do when youre trying to rescue the economy and trying to get people through what is a temporary but very, very difficult problem. So perhaps some of that is working. On that point of what else you may do in terms of government rescue, nancy pelosi saying she wants another 750 billion in what would be 4. 0 in terms of stimulus, politico has a story this morning they were even some democrats saying they are worried its going to be a costly wish list, a political priority that may or may not be connected to the coronavirus. Are you going to hit the pause button on some of this deficit spending or are you ready to have a new stimulus bill . We are in that period right now, probably through the end of may as the economy reopens across the country, safe reopening is really the key that unlocks the economy. That is so important, and President Trumps guidelines and governors guidelines are working in place, so im getting more optimistic about that. The president himself has said he wants lower taxes and regulations and a Strong Energy sector and fair and reciprocal trade. And those of the policies that created a boom over the past three years, those of the policies he would like to extend. From time to time, talk about payroll tax cuts, he is talked about infrastructure through the rural areas, talked about some restrictions and liability limits, Small Businesses can open up okay, talked about covid19 and safety regulations, think of this for a moment. Going to be a big change in corporate behavior whether you are large or small. Detroit looks like it is going to open up in the next ten days. Theyre all coming up and now all over the world all over the country. I think personally and i think the president agrees with this every nickel they spend on safety features whether it is temperatures or some form of testing or whatever should be expensed, it should be deducted immediately so they never pay any taxes on that at all. So lets use the Free Enterprise system, lets reward success. Thats the president s philosophy and i think thats going to be his policy. And thats why really the second half of this year should grow by 20 off of the difficult Second Quarter and 2021 could be a terrific american recovery. 2021 with the right policies in the right administration and the white house could be a fabulous economic year. The big trump recovery out there is a big american recovery out there. To back to that point, came on to respond to the job numbers as morning, here is the president and his own words on fox earlier. We are going to have a fantastic next year. We will have a record over almost record next year. We are going to have a transition in the third corner and its happening already. Those jobs will all be back in back very soon. Sandra you look at the u. S. Stock market, climbing back into positive territory triple digit gains on the dow, of 322 points. Are you concerned the market might be getting ahead of itself or how optimistic are you that you can see that shark bounced back in the economy . The market has been trending higher since march 23rd i think and its up quite a bit up over 30 . So you dont want me to do and i dont want to give you any shortterm market forecasts. I dont want to make your show but i would just say thats a very good signal that the market looks ahead. The market just got slammed in early march and turned out to be a predictor of how hard this pandemic contraction was going to be. So all in, thats a good sign. As awful and heartbreaking as aa jobs losses for the month of april reported today, much of that will be temporary layoffs, so that could be a glimmer of hope. In i dont want to downplay the hardship but it could be. Weve seen even the weekly unemployment numbers still rising unfortunately but they are slowing down, so its early. We will reopen and when we do, count on American Ingenuity and some good policies to get back on track. Ed when you talk about the jobless claims still very bad, is the worst over . I want to think so, edit, but i have to say when it comes to once every hundred years pandemics like this, economic miles are not helpful. So i dont want to go out on a limb. I believe as the economy safely reopens, thats the key, and the virus numbers have flattened out nicely. That unlocks the economy, and that unlocks a return to work for all americans. I believe with the timing is in the precise numbers, i dont know, but call me hopeful and optimistic, i love President Trumps mind this morning. Sandra hope is good as we conclude another week here, its been a heck of a ride, thank you so much for your time this morning. In the meantime, new fallout from the decision to drop that case against Michael Flynn. A slamming the former fbi director james comey, himself firing back. New reaction, hes next. I thought the purpose of the investigation was to investigate russian collusion. The way i read the memo is it was go find something, bring us back. There was no counterintelligence investigation, its just an arrogant head of the fbi full of hubris who wanted to send agents over to mess with Michael Flynn. Today was a great day for bill barr. Was a lousy day for jim coming. Ed voicing outrages newly released transcripts as they admitted they had no empirical evidence of collusion between President Trump and russia during the 2016 campaign. In the meantime, department of justice decided to walk away from the criminal case as you heard the president s first National Security advisor. In ranking republican of course on both the House Judiciary Committee and the oversight committee. Good morning. Jim comeys name was justin evoked, he was on twitter last night saying the doj has lost its way look over your people, please stay because America Needs you, the country is hungry for honest competent leadership. James comey calling for honest competent leadership. Your reaction. Thats exactly what we have with bill barr at the head of the Justice Department, was exactly right when he described it was a good day for america when this information came out, a bad day for jim comey. Everything we learned this week confirms what we already knew. This entire investigation was baseless and was baloney. Remember what they did, they went and spied on the Trump Campaign, they use the dossier to get the warrant to do so. The dossier they knew was false and was russian disinformation and was paid for by the clinton campaign, the dossier written by Christopher Steele who was told the Justice Department that he was desperate to stop trump. They used all that and then they go set up and that shows just how baseless this was, and i hope they take another hard look at jim comey because he was the guy responsible. He was the guy at the top of the guy telling peter strzok dont drop this investigation into Michael Flynn even though the agents doing the work said there was nothing there. Ed meanwhile these transcripts under devin nunes and adam schiff, seem to be according to People Holding back and putting these transcripts out so for now, the acting dni says hes going to put them out until adam schiff puts them out and heres one bit from there. The former dni have the president obama, i never saw he testified long ago undergrowth anand a direct empirical evidene at the Trump Campaign or someone in it was plotting, conspiring with the russians to metal with the election. When he was on cnn, the president might be a russian agent, the president might have colluded, how can these folks say one thing in public on television and another thing undergrowth . I dont know because i dont know how you do that. Seemed to me they were lying when they were talking in public but they were telling the truth when they were under oath being deposed and again, thank goodness that ric grenell pushed venices that we got this information out there which confirms there was never anything there. You know what i think is interesting . We have had a lot to talk about this insurance policy, i think the insurance policy initially was the investigation itself but it began to morph into other things. Morphed into going after Michael Flynn, that was an insurance policy, flynn who had a background in intelligence concern that he was going to figure all this out and expose it all. But then i think the insurance policy for jim comey really became the mueller investigation. We should never forget, he wrote about this yesterday. Should never forget he leaked those memos to do what . To create momentum for the special counsel and who did bob mueller hire . Peter strzok, lisa page, this same group of people to cover up what they had done. Thats something that we need to look into seriously because i think that in the end became the real insurance policy. Ed in terms of pushing this forward, how high up did all of this go in the Obama Administration. I want to show the video, i was tipped off yesterday that he was headed to the Justice Department late yesterday afternoon, im told there are documents and there he was bringing to the attorney general william barr. We dont know exactly whats in there, but they were a people this case suggesting that maybe has the acting dni ric grenell has seen some documents that suggest sally yates and others for saying privately that barack obama knew about a lot of this with Michael Flynn a lot earlier than we know. What do you think is in their . I dont know either. Lets hope they get to the bottom of this. That is what john durham has been charged to do by the attorney general of the United States. So we expect some completion of that investigation this summer and we look forward to seeing it but as i said before, he was the guy in charge. He was a guy as bill barr said a year ago, he was the head of the Upper Echelon of the fbi but it was a failure of leadership, it all goes to jim comeys lets hope they figure all this out. But i also want to know is when did they first learned about these documents related to Michael Flynn . Did they know about this before the Midterm Election in 2018 . And why did they wait . Where has chris wray been in this process . Why didnt we have this information in a much more timely fashion . I remember a few years ago when the Inspector General at the irs knew about what took place there and wouldnt tell us until after the 2012 election, this is a pattern that concerns me. Ed we just showed the fbi chief on fox friends raise questions about what hes been doing and a lot of people looking for answers, appreciate you coming on today, thank you. Sandra a texas salon owner who defied a lock down reopened her business was released from jail yesterday on orders of her states supreme court. We will now hear from her attorney who joins us next. Theyve ever offered. You can lower your payments by this time next month without having to verify your income, without getting your home appraised, and theres no money out of pocket. Call newday right now. n. Q9 they are compelled to step to the front lines. And into the unknown. For all of us. It means being there for each other. Thats why state farm is announcing the Good Neighbor Relief Program we know our customers are driving less, which means fewer accidents. So state farm is returning 2 billion dollars to auto policyholders for the period ending may 31st. And well continue making real time decisions to best serve you our customers. Because now, more than ever, being a Good Neighbor means everything. Like a Good Neighbor, state farm is there. When he finally pushed back a final time, i just woke up one day and said i have to open, my stylists are calling me and theyre not making their mortgage. Right now, i still am not caught up. Im two months behind on my mortgage and i just decided i would open to create a safe place for the stylists and to make sure that i wasnt the reason they werent making mon money. Sandra that was Shelley Luther on hannity last night after she was released from jail. Luther was arrested for reopening her salon the midtexas lockdown orders. She maintains that it was for the wellbeing of her family and staff so that she could make enough money to feed her own children. Joining us now is her attorney, thank you for being here this morning. So first, describe to us because you had multiple cases like shelleys before you, hers became more highprofile, but tell us about when she came to you and said ive got to open my doors. I need to feed my kids. She came to me through some other people and said i am in dire straits in the executive orders i dont have to pay my bills, they just say i dont have any income so i said if you want to do this, there may be repercussions. You can actually go to jail when she said im willing to take that risk. We have to do something, so thats where we started going that path so thats why her case became more widely known. In the other plaintiffs were either operating in the dark or not opening. Took a brave person to stand up and say no, its time to take action. Sandra i want to talk more about that in just a second but we have dan patrick from the state of texas on our program earlier talking about the potential fallout for the judge in this case. Listen. We have to look at this judge on a number of levels. Was there any judicial misconduct . Number two, he is on the ballot in november. And for shelley, i hope it puts this behind her. Ive never met the judge and ive never met shelley or talk to shelley. I got involved because for the attorney general and the governor just because we saw this was a giant overreach. Sandra is she considering any further legal action . Sure. We are going to have counterclaims against the city. Those havent been filed because busy making sure that she got out of jail. We believe that the temporary restraining order on which the contempt order was based was not valid, so we are fighting that so its potentially an unlawful arrest to begin with. Judges are protected. Ive been in this courtroom any time and i respect the judge. We disagree on a number of issues obviously but hes a judge and im not. So we are just doing what were supposed to do, so the judge issued his order, we filed for an application of writ of habeas corpus, he goes all the way back to england and it all worked out. At least in the shortterm, this battle is not over at all. Ed the president has brandnew reaction on the fox news earlier this morning responding to shelleys release. Heres the president. Shes an incredible representative for a large group of people that want to do the same thing. They want to get back to work. Everybody has done what they have done, and you can only do that so long. Sandra it raises a bigger question, and ill get your answer to it about the precedent that this particular case might set. I know you represent others, but the broader question in a pandemic like this when someone is told to leave the salon doors closed and she says i cant feed my kids, at what point does an individual have the right to disregard laws or orders that are in place because they decided that this is not right for their family or that they cannot feed their children . Its a great question, and its one of the most important questions. In this country and in this state, we use the legislature to pass laws and so when you start going into a situation where there is an emergency and the executive start issuing rules that look and smell like laws but theyre really not laws, you lose the nuance of value properly put together a lot and you have to make these changes along the way. We would not have filed this lawsuit, shelley didnt open the first day or the first week she closed like everybody else did but after a period of time, you recognize that things have to get more rational. It cant just be we are going to let the day cares do whatever they want. We are going to let the Liquor Stores operate without restriction. Is going to have all these other people operate but youve got salons and stylists all have 1500 hours of training much of it on hygiene and taking care of their clients. So when people say its just a haircut, its not about a haircut. Its about the people who were doing the hair cuts and earning a living and at some point, these rules have to recognize that they really not that dangerous. We are balancing dangerous here and we cant just simply say all of you people just have to take the sacrifice and everyone else gets to keep their job, it is not lost on anybody that everybody in the courtroom was making money to be there except my client. Sandra it is a fascinating story that has captivated the nation as we all go through this together. Appreciate your time this morning, keep us posted. And i know you just told us this is not over yet, so we like to followup with you, thank you so much. Ed the meantime, now marking the 75th anniversary of a very historic moment, bringing world war ii to a close in europe with the surrender of nazi germany. Ed taking a playful jab or two with tom brady right there but all for a good cause, form the biggest superstars in sports facing off later this month and a charity golf match between tiger woods and manning versus Phil Mickelson and brady to raise 12 million bucks for coronavirus relief. Joining us now, Sportscaster Jim Gray and a fox news contributor. Good morning, jim. That was serious trash talk there, just a fas back check. He got a summons in tampa and someone told him get out of the park where he was working out and he gladly went along. Theyre having a little fun with it. Ought to have some fun. Went into a nextdoor neighbors house where he thought he was going one of his first days in florida and all was a bunch of nothing but it made franzen playful talk right there, that was very funny of peyton manni manning. Ed also said hes hated now in boston. A lot of people who like all those super bowl wins. Lets run through their real quick, here is Phil Mickelsons master win, won three times in 2004 through 2010, tom brady as i noted six super bowl wins, might pain me to say that as a giants fan but lets give him his due, two super bowls and is the one doing the trash talking. And then of course tiger woods was the remarkable story of 2019. Five times hes won the masters including that come back in 2019. How do you think this is all going to work out with two professional golfers in a couple of quarterbacks i could hit the ball pretty well . I think its going to be a lot of fun and its a terrific event and obviously, two natural rivals. So its going to be a terrific thing and they are raising all of this money and in fact, there is an event that is coming a week before with vicki fowler and matthew wolf going to play at the golf club which has never been on television before and theyre going to play rory mcilroy who is a number one in the world and thats going to raise a tremendous amount of money, so the golfers are really doing their part and theres a terrific interview on foxnews. Com that we did with rory mcilroy last night about the seminal golf course and about that match and you can take a look at it up right now. Ed historic course right on the ocean. Ben hogan used to play there saying it was the toughest course to get ready for the masters so its going to be a rare look for people to see. I think the broader point when you take a step back, people are hungering for these charity matches because theyre waiting for everyone to come back. Right, and its great that the golfing world has taken this step, so many people who need help, this can provide it taken for the general public and can also give people the ability to contribute. Going to be a lot of fun and its great to see these things coming back. Ed fox did that with the very first concert to raise money for coronavirus relief, now we have america cheers together, thank you for coming on. Sandra brandnew fallout from the Michael Flynn case, the case against the former National Security advisor has beenli dropped. And what happens . Refinance when Mortgage Rates drop. President trump about to take part in a major ceremony, the president will be joined by a group of veterans of the world war ii memorial in washington. That is scheduled to begin about 30 minutes from now. We will bring you that and go their life as it happens. In the meantime, fox news alert, the House Intel Panel release and transcripts of over 50 closeddoor interviews about the rush of probe. The transcripts show that top obama officials said in private they did not have empirical evidence of collusion between russia and the trump team. Welcome to a brandnew hour of americas newsroom. I met henry. Sandra and good morning to you, ed. Im sandra smith. This coming as a Justice Department drops those charges against National Security advisor Michael Flynn. Pleaded guilty twice to lying to fbi investigators back in 2017. All this coming after release oi officials that maps out internal deliberations about the purpose of that flynn interview. The president says his former advisor is innocent. It was a made up story, a disgrace to our nation. These are dirty politicians and dirty cops and some horrible people, and hopefully theyre going to pay a big price someday in the nottoodistant future. Sandra we have all angles covered for you this morning, reaction from House Minority whip Steve Scalise coming up that we begin with Kristin Fisher live at the white house for us this morning. So there are two big revelations to come out of these transcripts that were released just yesterday by the house Intelligence Committee. The first is that former president barack obama knew about these intercepted phone calls between Michael Flynn and the Russian Ambassador at the time and this is coming from the then Deputy Attorney general sally yates who testifies she was surprised when the former Vice President told her about it during a meeting in the Oval Office Just days before President Trumps inauguration. The second revelation is that Obama Administration officials from susan rice to James Clapper testified that they had seen no hard evidence of collusion with the russia. James clapper said under oath, i never thought any direct empirical evidence at the Trump Campaign or someone in is just the frequency and prevalence of them that was of concern. President trump said this morning on fox friends that those two revelations and everything within these transcripts confirms what he has been saying for years, that there was no collusion with russia and that Top Obama Administration officials knew it. They try to take down the president of the United States, a sitting duly elected president of the United States. Before i even one. What youve seen so far is incredible. Especially as it relates to president obama because if anyone thinks that he and Sleepy Joe Biden didnt know what was going on, they have another thing coming. All of these transcripts were released yesterday as they moved to dismiss the case of Michael Flynn, praising attorney general bill barr for doing so the congressman adam schiff is outraged and said this dismissal does not exonerate him, but it does incriminate bill barr and the worst politicization of the Justice Department and its history. President trump says expect more documents to drop in the coming days, but first and about 20 minutes, said he wanted to commemorate the 75th anniversary of ve day which marks the end of the war in europe. And then this afternoon going to be having a meeting with Republican Leaders from capitol hill and then just this morning, we learn he is now planning to head to camp david tomorrow morning. Sandra . Sandra all of that is coming up, thank you. Ed meantime, congress divided among party lines as they moved to drop its case against general flynn. Nancy pelosi claiming the politicization of the Justice Department knows no bounds, those are her words. Lets bring in Steve Scalise, one of the Republican Leaders in congress. Good morning. Its good to see you, what are your thoughts on how all of this happened and why we are only learning now that obama officials some of whom have been out in public for years claiming that there was collusion between russia and the Trump Campaign in private under oath said something different. Its really a remarkable discovery. Weve been talking about this for a long time as you can recall years ago was starting to beat this drum that there were dirty cops within the fbi, that they were conspiring against the donald Trump Campaign before he was elected president as you heard him talking about their and then they try to entrap and set up general flynn and forced him to plead guilty to something he didnt do and in essence trying to bankrupt the guy. In not only owing him an apology, there needs to be accountability at the highest levels of the fbi and the people within the fbi at the time who knew this was going on and in essence set up we know some of the names already. Hes at the heart of this but it does go up to jim comey, does it go up to president obama and Vice President joe biden at the time period of where they aware there was no collusion and still there Justice Department was going after targeting donald trump as he was elected not even sworn in and some of his top officials including general flynn. Ed lets stay on that point, just named all these folks, did it go all the way up to president obama . There is now basically testimony thats come out in some of these documents from the flynn case that suggested sally yates at the Justice Department revealed that it was president obama who informed her that he knew all about his calls with the Russian Ambassador and she seemed surprised by that. And so did it go all the way up to president obama . It looks pretty clear that it did. And wheres the reaction from president obama, where are the press questions towards barack obama and joe biden about what they knew and when they knew it and why they didnt stop the fbi from going after an innocent man . Im glad that the Justice Department finally fixed the problem that they created. He tried to destroy a mans life because they wanted to get him fired. He wrote that in the notes and there was nothing he did wrong. Trying to get the new duly elected president are established with foreign leaders to get a new policy implemented which is what the American People chose donald trump to do and theyre trying to undermine those efforts from within the fbi. Those people need to go to jail. Thats something that happens in third world nations i shouldnt be tolerated in the United States of america. Ed he said some people should go to jail and people out there watch all of this play out and have seen it for years now, nobody actually has been held accountable. The president had some thoughts on fox friends and ill play it and let you respond. A guy like james comey who is a sick man pleaded so cute with hillary. He was trying to play acute trying to help her and ultimately, might have hurt her. Theres something wrong with him. But its all coming out and id love to watch it stepbystep day by day, thousands and thousands of pages. Ed james comey in his defense put out a tweet last night saying the Justice Department has lost its way and then basically, he is innocent. You see it right there, please stay because America Needs you, honest competent leadership. Ill tell you, the honest competent people want the house clean more than anybody. Those bad apples that are still around and those that have already left and disgrace need to be held accountable to restore integrity for the large majority of the people over there that are working hard for the American People. They were bad people over there and we know it. Theyre starting to get exposed but we are just getting close to cutting off the head of the snake and the Justice Department is doing a thorough investigation. Id like to see it go ahead and start seeing charges brought. Losing classified information but seen enough just in public documents that show you that people abuse their power that agencies like the fbi and others and they need to be held accountable to send a message, number one that what they did wrong isnt going to be tolerated, but also to anybody else who is thinking about doing that. We all have our political views but when you work for law enforcement, you have to
