And heres why. If you are obese, you are making a lot of inflammatory chemicals in your body and thats what covid19 does, too. And you have a higher risk of sleep apnea at night, all of which puts you in a position where covid19 can have an negative impact. Obesity is one of the biggest problems. Zero corroborating evidence at the time, no contemporaneous evidence and yet, there was a complete pylon and feeding frenzy from the opposition and from the media, sort of working in concert. In this case we dont have definitive proof ive either way about what happened but we do have contemporaneous evidence that at least five people had confirmed that this woman, tara rita, told them about what happened at the time, allegedly. And of course there is that larry king clip that we heard from peter doocy. And thats in terms of response to it from most of the press. Sandra you heard from stacy abrams her response to those allegations and heres more of that. I believed then and i believe now that those Women Deserve to be heard because too often, they are not. The New York Times investigation of her allegation, the New York Times investigation does not support the accusations against the Vice President. I believe the biden i know and i think that he will make women proud and he will make america proud. Sandra so when we hear from joe biden on this guy . I just want to say, notice that the line from stacy abrams and from others now, and women should be believed. Its much of the media standard. Its a Democratic Party standa standard. That may be the most jawdropping and revealing evidence of the entire story, the fact that mr. I would just say that those of us who said back in the cavanaugh era that we should wait for evidence, and if there is no evidence that its unfair to crucify him over and allegation, i think that exact same standard needs to be applied to joe biden and its a relatively High Standard but thats how things work in this country. The presumption of innocence is sacred and crucial and critical. It should apply evenly on both sides, but the standards ought to be the same for both sides. But ive already noticed today, we are getting hit big time with people panicking and stocking up on meat. But we have seen that the plants out west have closed about a third of their business down so production has dropped about 33 . Part of it is retooling like you mentioned, it slow down the line and they are also being supersafe about distancing for everyone, 6 feet apart. And, 70 of the people dont want to come into work. On top of that right now with the restaurants closed, it puts a big burden on the supermarket to get all this meet up and get all this product into the store. So i can see already in the story, since the panic started, even though i dont see the panic right now. Lets talk about this carefully as we have to. You alluded to Something Else a moment ago, Something Like 7 out of 10 employees dont want to come in and the families are concerned about being up close with customers. We are paying 2 in extra appreciation pay here, so that helps. But what i cant figure out is the restaurants are closed, why arent these up people applying for jobs . Quickly i want to ask you about something that Lindsey Graham said, he said our statebased unemployment system are by the volume of claims and its actually incentivizing people to leave the workforce compounding problems. But the thing i noticed was they were dots on the ground, you had masks on employees. This is a serious issue as states and cities have opened up, what lesson have you learned early on that you think others can apply about safe business . First of all, thanks for shopping with us. One of the things, we have had over 2 Million People now come through stew leonard snow since this whole coronavirus thing h hit. Everyone at the store is wearing masks. Everyone wears gloves. As you can see even down here we have on the floor, we have striping to keep people socially distance. We have signs up like this right now, stay 6 feet apart. For businesses opening right now, i would say first of all, dont expect everyone to show up. The second thing is if you would have to convince your customers that that is a clean this place they can be all day. Every night this entire store gets a super washdown and sanitation above cdc guidelines. I think a new business opening should do that, too. Then we are going through with these up blitzes all day constantly wiping and cleaning things down. Customers today are very, very nervous about going into any kind of infected area that they feel is not clean. So thats the second thing really i would recommend. You have to have Hand Sanitizer and safety wipes are here to stay. Ed is good advice. We had a Connell Mcshane saying there are some businesses like your business where folks are opening up and, folks that are opening up in retail, people are not coming out right away. They have some of those concer concerns. I know early in this crisis people were running out to buy toilet paper, but whats the demand right now out there in terms of customer volume . We have the same number of customers that are just buying almost twice as much on each trip because obviously they dont want to go shopping as much. But weve noticed when this first hit, everyone panic buying and it settled down. We could see like normal customers now, you know, actually we have had some customers. You got to move alan. You got to move. But what we wanted was all the shoppers would be 6 feet apart. At the big thing weve seen is curbside and delivery has gone up tremendously. This is probably an insta cart chopper right here shopping for someone right now. 25 delivered. Ed you can see in real time how you are trying to manage that to try to make sure the i also get too full. Its a whole new business for grocery and a whole lot of other businesses. Weve been waiting for Major League Baseball to start and other sports leagues to end and baseball which was supposed to start a long time ago is now looking at potentially the end of june or maybe as early as july. July 4th seems like it would be the perfect date. Without a lot of ideas to run of arizona that all 30 teams were to play there. Texas and florida also under consideration as possibly hosting some Major League Baseball games, maybe that would be the beginning of the season. Usa today is saying, theres a possibility that baseball could be looking at spreading it six divisions, the american and National League, into three divisions total. Get rid of the american and National League season alone and create three divisions. And east, central and west. The breakdowns are very similar to the way that situations look generally. Only one difference really, the Pittsburgh Pirates usa today says could play in an east division and they are normally in the central. And the whole concept would be, stadiums would post the teams that they normally would but there wouldnt be any fans there. But the games could get played. If this comes to be, you talk about the best time ever in the world to have one of those spots in those seats that overlook wrigley field, you might be the only ones who are watching baseball games this year. Ed but the idea is you create those new division so you limit travel perhaps, so you have the yankees and the mets and the reds all in the same eastern division, they would be going back to and forth to california and arizona and all of that. We will have the olympics in july of 2021 and in japan, it doesnt necessarily look good unless there is a vaccine that we dont have. Still in a little bit of a wait and see.
