He was frequently seen around town riding his bike. He was a big fan of the San Francisco giants. He was always funny and always friendly and gone way too soon at the age of 63. Martha Robin Williams career spanned 40 years, cracking people up at one moment and turning in an oscarwinning performance next. His first character mork was on the show happy days. They liked it so much they decided to give him his own show. The spinoff was morning an ws mork mindy. You have nothing to lose about your shells. He joked about falling off the wagon. He was in the rehab its my understanding because he fell off the wagon. It was because he realized he was about to fall off the wagon. It doesnt sounds like the action of someone who would take his own life. Mike wallace who was depressed the last 30 years his life told me when you are in ma depressive state, you can get the news that you have just lost all of your earnings and your pay and everybody has left you. You can also get at the same time the news an uncle you didnt know just left you 20 million dollars. Both pieces of news would be the same. Thats what depression is like. Its a bottomless pit. In a time and a world when you can pick a spot on the map where there is trouble we pay honor today to Robin Williams for giving us a chance to stop and laugh. Martha just to be able to entertain everywhere he went from the uso to the troops to broadway stage to television, to the movie screen. That is a gift and he gave it to us very generously. We talk about him throughout the next hour. But there is of course much more news today including the violence and chaos in iraq. Prime minister Nouri Almaliki pushing back. Listen to this. The president named a new Prime Minister designate dr. Haider alabadi. This is a First Step Towards forming a government that can unite the different communities. Almaliki says thats not happening. There has been so much focus on the movement of isis but there is a battle emerging in the streets of baghdad today. This is the worst possible situation. The government of iraq is under mortal threat from isis these terrorist forces spreading across the country and now it hooks like the government of iraq could dissolve into infighting at this moment of their greatest peril. What maliki does now is critical. After this decision to replace him was announced he went on television suggested he was going to fight, maybe even suggested some of the armed forces might be loyal to him and just spelled out a complete disastrous scenario while u. S. Officials from the president on down were expressing support for the change. So what maliki does in the next few hours and days will be extremely critical. Martha abadi has 30 days to establish a cabinet. Maliki is shiia and he has always had support from return. When we pulled out of iraq thats where he turned for his support. Is there any chance they could come to his aid and try to keep him in power or have they given up on him as well . The new Prime Minister abadi is also shiite, but can he bring other elements, sunnis into the government in a way that maliki basically purged the sunnis as soon as the United States forces left. What the iranians do is completely unclear at this point though they seem to be inclined to favor a change here because really we are looking at just complete disaster if maliki somehow manages to fight this decision and if he has some armed forces, some militia at his disposal. It seems to be in everybodysnt to make this change happen. If you are the leader of isis you have got to be look at this saying there is vulnerability in baghdad. Considering whether thats a move in your pocket as well. Thank you very much. Well be watching. The terrorists march from syria across iraq. Critics say the president and the white house, too slow to act. The fact that president obama and his advisers did not think a wellfunded terror army was not going to cause enormous damage is inexplicable. Martha new details in the racetrack death involving tony stuart. What an autopsy is revealing as the Police Continue to investigate. Also in the death of Robin Williams. The demons he battled in his personal life while he made so many of us smile along the way. Oh, my god and that became our passion. And my rewards points wont expire. So you can make owning a business even more rewarding. Ink from chase. So you can. Martha back to a story we covered in detail yesterday as we get more information about the death of race car driver kevin ward. An autopsy showing the 25yearold ward died of massive blunt force trauma. Investigators said they found no evidence of criminal intent but they have not ruled out the possibility there could be charges. They are breaking down of single video frame they can get their hand on. Still no word on when stuart will return to the track. Bill president obama coming under fire for what is called a slow response to terrorists in iraq. Bill yoo riley laid out the argument that the president did nothing to contain them. Bill what did the president think these people were going to do . They are not subtle. They are killers. They murder women and children. They rape, and target christians and other nonmuslim religions. They are the worst of humanity. For one solid year the most powerful man in the world did nothing to contain this threat. Bill karl rove is here from austin, texas today. A lot of this stuff is in the rearview mirror. The critical question now is what do we believe the president is willing to do given the circumstances . Well, first of all, the president lacks a strategic framework. He seems to be trying to do nothing. If you are forced to do something. Do as little as possible as late as possible. Thats inadequate. Three years ago when he declared the red line in syria and took no action to create an alternative to the jihadist, that was the problem. So is the problem with leaving iraq without a status of forces agreement. It was he who made the decision it would require the Iraqi Government in a moment it would have to provide legislative approval of of any agreement of any treaty. The president has to act. Hes uncomfortable with questions of moral clarity. He likes to view the world in shades of gray so hes not spoken out as this threat emerged. Today he would like to do as little as possible and put this in the hand of others rather than leading in the. Bill lets probe deeper on that. He constantly says no troops on the ground. Chuck hagel says its all drilled into their mind. If you think of the way the president has taken on his presidency he wanted to get out of iraq. Given that, do you agree with oreilly that he does not want to lead on this . Absolutely. The president would prefer this to go away. But the threat of islamic terrorism is not going to go away on its own. It must be confronted and described in the terms that it is. Its evil. Its positive evil. We need a strategy to deal with it. Maybe we dont want to recommit 10,000 or 20,000 rooms to iraq but we want to take action to help stop thick which means using american air power which the president himself and Vice President biden said would be a cool available to us. It means using u. S. Troops, u. S. Special operators to help with targeted terror missions. It means stepping up our assistance to the kurds and iraqis. On the second point that hasnt happened but we have 750 Service Members dispatched to iraq and you have to assume they are helping out on this. There are airstrikes, very limited. And based on the reporting they seem to have an effect if you believe the recording. When you have a mobile artillery piece getting ready to shell irbil and a 500pound bomb drops on it from a hornet, its gone. But these are pin pricks. Yesterday what was the total number, four sorties . This is maintenance. Its not degrading. The isis forces. Its hold where we are. And thats inadequate. They are gaining strengther day and we need to help degrade their forces so the kurdish troops and the iraqis can take them out. Bill doug schoen came on our program last thursday. He worked in the bill Clinton White house. He said the president should not go to Marthas Vineyard, he should cancel his vacation. Everybody needs a vacation, do you agree with shown o schoen o. We are at a key point, a Pivotal Point in the history of the middle east and the president needs to be on duty. Whether he can do that from Marthas Vineyard or not. I do know hes disengaged. He has no strategy. Hes doing this by the seat of his pants moment to moment and thats inadequate. Bill well see what happens next. Thank you, karl. Martha reaction continues to pour in over the death of Robin Williams. We have people weighing in from hollywood, in boston as well this morning. The scenes of many of his movies where they are gathering today. More of the amazing performances. Bill rowfests an american i out of control after a deadly shooting. Bill remembering the life of Robin Williams. He took voice acting to a new level with his turn as the animated genie in the disney classic aladdin. 10,000 years will give you such a cric dmrks the neck. Wow, does it feel good to be out of there. Im telling you, nice to be back, ladies and gentlemen. Where you from . Whats your name . Aladdi nirks. Can i call you al . Bill a simple tweet with a picture of the genie holding aladdin saying genie, youre free. I read that when he was young he was shy and he could make his mom laugh by making fun of his grandma. Martha he did 51 voices and characters in 2 1 2 minutes. We talk about tensions still rising in the st. Louis area days after police shot and killed an unarmed black teenager. Things are continued to boil over. An unruly crowd smashed windows, set fires and threw rocks at the police. Reports of gunshots out there as well. Mike, what do we know. More clashes with police and protesters toned down from what we saw off the weekend. Most of the demonstrations and clashes centered around the ransacked Convenience Store which was looted in sunday protests. The police fired rubber bullets into the crowd of demonstrators. From the end five people were arrested last night and thats in addition to 32 people arrested over the weekend. He was nonviolent. He never got into a fight. If you want to honor his memory, honor his memory by seeking justice nonviolently. Michael brown was the 18yearold who was shot and killed by police. There was another shoe store that was looted around the other side of st. Louis. Police suspect its connected to the demonstration but they cant say definitively. Martha we understand the family has started to speak out. What are they saying about the investigation so far. They have hired civil rights attorney benjamin crump. They doubted the Police Version of what happened, that Michael Brown pushed the officer back into the cruise kerr and attempted to grab the officers weapon. He was chased and shot. Then when he put his hand up, that the police who are supposed to protect him repeatedly shoots him. Reporter the department of justice is conduct an independent investigation. It will not replace what the local police are doing on the ground. Bill ukraine sending a message to moscow. Will Vladimir Putin muscle his way into ukraine . Martha we get unique insight into the life and legacy of a comedic genius. Robin williams gone. He was involved in the business of making people laugh. Sir, ill be your surgeon. Martha Robin Williams an actor of remarkable range. There is a role he played as a loveable doctor, patch sea docke doctor, patch adams. A preliminary investigation indicates it appears to have been a suicide by asphyxia. Police are going to hold hah News Conference. There has been an autopsy performed. That will happen at 2 time eastern time, and we expect well learn more. Joining me now is dominic patton. A reporter for deadline hollywood, the center of where this country is reeling right now. So many friend he was surrounded with in that town. What do we expect to hear at 2 00. I think what well hear is more details about what exactly happened when the First Responders entered the home of Robin Williams and his wife in marin county. This area is literally just across the bay from San Francisco. Weep expect in the press Conference Tomorrow to get more details about what happened when they were in the house. They got a call at 11 55 a. M. , pacific time. They were there by noon and he was declared dead at 12 02. A forensic examination is scheduled and there is a toxicology examination scheduled. That actually people shouldnt get raise too many hackles about that. Thats fairly common in situations like this. Robin was very honest about his battles with addiction and depression so it seems part of the course. Reporter reaction pouring in from so many corners and in hollywood we saw reaction from antonio banderas. Clearly everybody is very sad, very upset by this news. I think hollywood has been hit by a number of tragedies. Philip Seymour Hoffman who was in patch adams with williams. In heaven the angels are probably laughing because robin is entertaining them. But in hollywood there is a sense of loss. You guys earlier with your tributes. But this is a man who not on was an oscar winner, multiple emmy and grammy winner and multiple golden globe winner. The breadth of his talent and the depth of it was astounding. Martha you take people for granted, we all do, whether its personal or professional. Somebody you feel like you grow up with and when one of these people goes you feel like a part of you is also gone because we all drew up watching Robin Williams from mork mindy, through goodwill hunting, and the world according to garp. I was a kid in the 70s. He was an alien on the show and he transformed all of us. As his career got richer and deeper. One of my particular favorites is the fisher king. Then aladdin which was a tour deforce. I feel quite privileged. I was privileged in the 80s as a teenager and in 2009 to see him perform live. Let me tell you as chris rock said so well proving that presentity is not only the soul of wit and also tribute. So sad, so funny. Martha going through the things he said last night. He talked a lot about finances and downsizing and its hard to imagine that he didnt have enough money because he made so many movies. Is there anything more to that do you think, dominic . I think everyones finances are complicated. Robin had three children who are now grown up. Im assuming colleges, expenses and what have you. Hollywood as an industry is changing dramatically. The way people are paid, the days of the 20 million film wool are just film role are just gone. But lets be honest. He was 63 years old. So perhaps when he talks about downsizing, a lot of that is Lifestyle Changes. He got married a couple years ago again and he had a new life for himself. This was a man who wasnt worried about paying his visa bill but he was looking at Lifestyle Changes and thats the natural arc of getting older. More importantly in many ways, robin, he was so brave and so honest in talking about his issues with addiction and depression. In many ways i hope out of this people will realize you suffer from both those diseases at least they can learn from Robin Williams, they were not alone. Well let everybody know, we get more information from News Conference, autopsy, funeral plans, all of that still to come today. Dominic, thank you. Bill a high probability russia could invade ukraine. Claiming is amassing troops along the border under the protect of delivering humanitarian aid. Ukraine says it plans to turn away the convoy of nearly 300 russian aid trucks. Ambassador john bolton now a fox news contributor, thank you for your time. I guess in Eastern Ukraine you have two towns, where the separatists, their backs are against the wall, they are surrounded. What gives here between putin trying to help them with humanitarian aid along with troops amassed on the eastern border . I think the government of ukraine and nato believe the hiewf man tearan aid notion is a protect and this convoy will have ammunition, farms and perhaps russian soldiers and special forces to come to the aid of the separatists. The Ukrainian Military has done a better than expected job in rolling the separatists back. And i think putins options are limited and they are down to abandoning the separatists or going in a in a more substantive way. You can look at the trucks crossing the border. You can see what the car go is. Ukraine said they will allow the convoy in if the International Committee of the red cross is allowed to inspect it. I think the russians are unlikely to do that because there is little doubt that those trucks which Russian Military personnel boast on social media are red army trucks painted over. I think natos concern is legitimate. We know the russians have been conducting military maneuvers so they are ready to go across if thats what putin decide. Bill do you think russia is going to invade ukraine . I think it would be a mistake. He may have concluded given the weak western response so far that he could get away with it. Bill you think we need to aid ukraine but i dont see this administration moving that way, do you . No, and i think thats part of putins calculus. I think that weighs in putins calculations. Bill thank you, john bolton, mr. Ambassador. Appreciate your time. Martha the president taking serious heat for comparing isis to the j. V. Team. Remember that . How does he explain that now . Bill the u. S. Offering sworn testimony on those lost lois lerner emails. On the advice of my counsel. sound of garage closing nobody touches my dodge dart, jake johnson not even your best friend slash neighbor . No one i can still get in craig id like to see you try all id have to do is roll in, dude. Lets see it i choose not to right now come on indiana common, let me in. Let me in mmmm let me sit in the car mmmm dont touch my dart bill president obama taking heat over the assessment of the dangers of isis back in january. The president dismissing the militants as amateur saying quote analogy we use around here is if the jv team puts on lakers uniforms it doesnt make them kobe bryant. Bob beckel is a former Campaign Manager and cohost of the five. That was 8 months ago, calling them jv. Is that one would you like to take back . These guys have been overestimated from the beginning. Usual talking about 2,000 to 8,000 fighters. And i think what was expected here after hundreds of millions of dollars in training the iraqi army is they would stand their ground and fight instead they dropped their guns and ran. It raises some serious questions whether it was worth our time to put together an army. Bill also in that statement he went on to talk about jihadists engaged in local power struggles and disputes, often sectarian, you could argue part of that is right. But various local power struggles . These guys want to take on the world and they want to inspire others. Sure they do. But these strikes have been going on for hundreds of years. A lot of this is tribal. They are gathering some of the nastiest guys you can gather up as you move forward. What he saw when the kurds got weapons, they should have gotten them earlier, they forced them back out of two towns. If the iraqi army would stand up and fight i think they would stop these guys. This is not a massive military force. They are brutal and they do horrible things but they are stoppable. You just said you would support arming the kurds. The kurds are probably the Strongest Force in the country, right . Sure, sure, and the toughest fighters. They have been fighting the turks on the border for a long long time because they want their own country. Im sure the cia got into them and once they got those we upon bill we hope the reporting on that is correct. I think it is. Bill but here is what the president said about whether they saw this thing coming or not. Did we underestimate . I think that there is no doubt that their advance, their movement off the last several months has been more rapid than the intelligence estimates and i think the expectations of policy makers both in and out of iraq. I dont know how i feel about that. Hes the commanderinchief now. I think the intelligence on this thing was well known early on but it has to do with organization, tactics, whos involved. It doesnt deal with the matter of time. When you sweep through an area this big, this fast, the only reason you are doing it is because you have no opposition. Bill people argue that if he had helped the rebels in syria he wouldnt have to do this today. Do you think this administration do you think this president has a hard time recognizing the enemy . Not hard time recognizing the enemy. I think he has a hard time recognizing the impact of the movement of one enemy in one country and how it impacts on enemies of the other country. What happened in syria, had we gotten into syria earlier and armed the moderate in that group, this crowd would not have developed. They did, and they then formed up their own organization. Bill now where they are today. Final question. Do you think this president wants to engage in a way thats effective . I think you will see exactly like the balkins. You will see air power increase dramatic all. We are not going to put soldiers in there anymore we know that. Bill they say that of 15 minutes. Can you depend on the iraqis . A lot of people assumed all that training you might have had a few soldiers but apparently not. Bill you will be there . Ill be there. Martha the cost of sending things through the u. S. Mail keeps going up, up, up, the u. S. Postal service is losing billions. You cant even wrap your brain around this. We are after he waiting new details on the death of Robin Williams. Martha on the irs story officials are back in the hot seat over what happened to those lost emails. Officials giving sworn information to the courts on how the emails were lost. Anything these sworn declarations that is worth drilling down on . They walk us through the forensic examination of lois lerners damaged hard drive. The first i. T. Guy to examine why lois lerners laptop wouldnt work says although i made multiple attempts to run the test, each time the test would freeze. The failure of the test confirmed the computer was not operating properly. . Then a tech specialist said i noticed a welldesigned concentric scoring. That means two circular gowjts were carved into the data center. The hard drive had in bar code on it. Why no bar code . In a sworn today declaration the chief officer says they use bar code property tags that are placed on whole equipment, not component parts. It was decode and barbed with misequipment and transferred to an external contractor for destruction. The bottom line is nobody is going to find it again. Martha thats interesting detail about that gouged concentric circle that went into the hard drive. We would like to know how that happened and if there is an innocent reason for that happening. What is Judicial Watch saying about this . They will be on our air later. Their statement says this latest irs filing seems to treat as a joke. Frankly it seems the coverup continues. Bill he ran on it, he did the and he took a victory lap for it. Ending the war in iraq. President obama is he changing his position on his story today . Martha we wait for the News Conference on Robin Williams and his death and the details and the autopsy. More news to come. This is unfortunate that that happened. We are here visiting, walking on the hollywood walk of fame, and to know one of the great individuals in the industry passed away. When i was 12 years old i saw mrs. The world looks very different from up here. You dont believe me . Come see for yourself. Just when you think you know something. You have to look at it in another way. Even though it may seem silly or wrong. You must try. Martha brandnew hour of americas newsroom. Bill the comic found dead in his home yesterday in an apparent suicide. Fans creating a makeshift memorial. William lajeunesse is live at the last factory comedy club. Certainly a lot of sadness. Good morning. There is, for someone called the funniest man alive his own world was often short of laughter because he suffered from depression. This is where Robin Williams got his start on the comedy circuit doing standup. The sign behind me captures the sentiment of his colleagues. Robin williams rest in peace, make god laugh. Instead of a moment of silence his fellow comedians shared with us an evening of laughter. He was a caring, nurturing person. Its such a loss. It really is. Its so sad. He showed us how to do it. There were no limit with him. Not on could he be so fun and crazy. But then he would bring you back and make it a judgment or a point about society and you would think this guy is really, really smart. He was amazing. Reporter all the celebrity 2008s seem to capture the sentiments much many people, shocked, sadness, stunned. And a word you dont usually hear about actors and egos, sweetness. Robin williams was a sweet man. Bill the problems for him run deep. When did they first begin . Reporter what experts dont know and im sure his therapist does, is which came first, the addiction or the depression. He grew up very middle class. He was born in chicago. Raised outside of detroit. Then he moved to los angeles. His mother was a model, his father worked at ford. Married three times, they children. As this career flourished he became addicted to cocaine in the 70s and 80s. His wakeup call he says was the death of the john what liewshy y and the birth of his first child. A photograph was taken with a sales woman from dare question queen. A perpetual workhorse he had four films in the works and staged a screen, nightclubs and television. Fellow actors say he was a joy to work with. He was involved in the business of making people laugh. Thats a serious thing in our days in the violent world in which we are living. The guy was tremendously talented like no other. He had his own benchmark in comedy and acting. I mean he wont have you know, we wont see an equal. Reporter i spoke to his agent of 30 years and he said Robin Williams was the real deal. When the agents father died williams planted a red word for him. He said he was respectful and always a gentleman. Martha it was 1998 when he won the oscar for his supporting role as the psychiatrist opposite matt damon in goodwill hunting. Talking about life and about love, the bench in the boston Public Gardens become a memorial as fans are traveling there to leave flowers and scrawling quotes from the moste. Bill he was a major supporter of the u. S. Military and the uso. 13 visits to various countries, even then he was open about his personal troubles as you will see in this clip from kuwait. I come here for you because i believe you are amazing. Its good to be in a room with fake beer having just gone the out of rehab. I was violating my standard quicker than i could lower them. But, oh, oh. Im not going to forget that. I have never had an entire audience go, forget you bill so good, so good. The uso releasing a statement, one of the great comedic actors. Mr. Williams trasmed around the world to lift the spirits of our troops and their families. March where he said they martha he said they were his Favorite Group to entertain. He also was an incredible improve phenomenon. During a famous appearance he talked about how improve was one of his fast it parts of performing. He used an audience members scarf. I would like to welcome you to iraq. Help me my name is robin. Would i like to welcome you to the first openly gay show. Why is tonight different from all others . Because we are going to dance. Welcome to ian chest. First of all, tonight we are going to cook football. Martha he still had that scarf. Bill the addiction and depression is largely misunderstood. Well talk to a psychologist on how to recognize it and hope those who suffer from it. Robin williams age 63. He and Christopher Reeves were in the same class at juilliard. They only take 20 freshmen and he and Christopher Reeves ended up being in the same class. I knew one of the teachers there. He said he was oh incredible. He said he wouldnt show up for class for several days. Then he would show up and blow everyone away with a hamlet monologue okay, guess you can show up of three days. Just an incredible talent. Bill at 2 00 eastern time there is a press conference in california. Well get that to you when it comes our way. Martha lets get back to news from iraq. Is president obama doing an aboutface on his narrative on this subject. Less than 48 hours after authorizing airstrikes on isis militants and air drops for trapped minorities. Is the president blaming president bush for the lack of troops on the ground. Here is the president on this subject in 2011 now. Today i can report that as promised the rest of our troops in iraq will come home i the end of the year. After nearly 9 years americas war in iraq will be over. Martha here is the president saturday with a very different tone, watch. What i find interesting is that the degree to which this issue keeps on coming up as if this was my decision. In order for to us maintain troops in iraq, we needed the invitation of the Iraqi Government and we needed assurances that our personnel would be immune from prosecution. Reporter ron fournier joins us now. Good to have you with us today. Thanks for being here. I want to address this issue of the sofa agreement. That seems the to be the crux of what the president is argue. Hes saying its not my fault we didnt get a status of forces agreement which would have aloud us to keep a peacekeeping force there. Maliki wouldnt let us. Is that true . Its a thin read. Anyone who looked at this as an independent, the United States could have convinced maliki to give us the authority we needed. The president didnt want to have troops there. You know, to his credit he promised the american people, elect me and ill pull troops out. In 2011 as you showed there, he had a Mission Accomplished event say we got our troops out of iraq just like president bush had a Mission Accomplished event that we supposedly won in iraq. Neither president was right. Now this president is trying to claim almaliki. I find it disingenuous. You are the president of the United States. And secondly you kept your promise. It was your fundamental promise bringing the parties together in washington. But the other one was ill pull folks out of iraq and he got that done. Now hes trying to walk away from it because of whats happening over there. Martha one of the things we count on a president to do is to have some foresight. There were plenty of voices that said if you want to hang on to the gains that have been made here we need to leave some forces in place. Weep know when we pull those forces out. Maliki had to search for other friends in the region. In was military support because we were gone. There is a case to be made that that left us with the situation that we have today. Im less hung up about that. You are right we want our president s to have foresight. But we also know our president s arent perfect and they cant see into the future. It would have been nice if president bush would have seen what would happen and how much money we would spend going after weapons. Mass destruction that were not there. It would have been nice if president obama had known isis would be there if we pulled out. At least be honest with us. Dont be shifting the goal post and dont say its not hide fault. Be honest with us. Explain why it is you decided not to keep troops there. More importantly what are you going do to make sure these killers, these jihadists dont come and hit us here at home. Thats what i want to know. I dont want to hear blame. I want to hear answers. Bill reports of a suspected isis sympathizer arrested at a new york city airport. What was this persons intent. Congressman Peter Congress is our guest. Martha heart stopping videoed of a baby stroller rolling on to the subway tracks. Well show you what happened. Bill powerful storms causing significant flooding in detroit. I saw six cars getting stuck going home. I have my suitcase from tennessee. So i have i jammas. And we have a little food in the car so thats a good thing. Bill Governor Rick Snyder bringing in additional state troopers. One woman had a heart attack after her car was stranded in those floodwaters. Martha reports a suspected isis sympathizer arrested at jfk. Federal prosecutors say Donald Ray Morgan pledged allegiance to the terrorist group and he just returned from an 8month day in lebanon. They picked him up on federal weapons charges. Congressman peter king is on the Homeland Security committee. He knows a lot about these things and he joins us now. What do you make of this case . I would say first of all the fact that he was arrested is going to be charged indicates that fbi takes it seriously. Evening is still under seal in the case. I would not think that he is actively working with isis. I would look upon him as selfradicalized. A person inspired by groups like isis and there are two types of threats we have to worry about. One the actual soldiers of isis who can be sent here to attack us and others, those who are selfmotivated. Selfradicalized, those inspired by isis and the al qaeda movement. Martha you make a good point about the way he was tweeting. They say the tweets are something he picked up on. He pledged allegiance to the leader of this group. You say that doing that in such an outward way is an obvious red flag and may indicate he is not serious. What about those who may have american passports and may pose a threat to us at home. I dont think thatter isis supporters will be as easy to catch as this one. There are hundreds on scene fighting against isis who can come to the United States without getting a visa. They can come in under a european passport. The ones with americans passports are the ones we have to monitor carefully. Martha we spend 8 billion a year on tsa. Is there a concerted effort to track down these isis passport Holding People from europe and the United States . Is in a new group, a new task force designated to work on finding out who these people are . There has been an intensification of effort. You mentioned tsa, Homeland Security, the fbi, the intelligence and Law Enforcement community are concerned about this. In addition to that we are getting strong cooperation from our allies who are attempting to monitor everyone going through europe to syria. There are transit points. They can go through turkey. With americans we have had an instance of an American Fighting alongside the rebels and they went back to europe and was killed in a suicide bombing. He made one trip back and that we werent aware of. Martha its a very tough game and only one person needs to sneak through those protections in order to cause us problems here at home and we know that is part of their m. O. Peter king, congressman, thank you very much. Always good to have you with us. Bill the price of a stamp keeps going higher. But the post office keeps losing money. 2 billion in just three months. Martha he was a real force of nature. But a long struggle with addiction and depression, something many people in this country can relate to. More on the legacy of Robin Williams. Should i stand here like an object . No, you do even eclectic celebration of events. You do fuss which, fussy, fussy. Martha graham or twila. Or michael kid or madonna. Madonna. The u. S. Postal service a downward financial spiral. Reporting 2 billion loss from april through june of this year. The fighting increase in package revenues and a price hike that kicked in earlier this year. Stuart varney, before you go, what is going on here . Those are grim numbers. It would have been worse if it was not for fedex, and mail and the taxpayers in reserve. Fedex is helping . Postal Service Delivers 2. 2 million fedex packages per day. They get paid for that. Without that, they would go so soft. Junk mail, the only area of mail delivery at went up in terms of volume so they did reasonably well on junk mail, and so lost 2 billion in 13 weeks and they could not put 5 billion into their Retirement Health fund as they were supposed to. I feel we do this story every three months. The bottom line problem is the Postal Service would like to slim down, it would like to be more efficient but it cannot make any moves at all without congressional approval so congress will not approve. Congress will not approve what . Stopping deliveries on saturday morning. The Postal Service wants to end it. The Postal Service says we have too many constituents who like saturday morning deliveries. We will give you a subsidy instead. They would like to sell other products, vegetables for example, i dont know what but other services. Congress wont let them. Local businesses do not want them to. All sorts of things they would like to do, cannot do. We keep on doing this story every three months. Billions of dollars in losses. Is it this bad in england . Last year the british privatizprivatized entirely thel service. They sold the Postal Service. Like they did the airlines . And the phone company . What is the chance the United States would do that here . Not a prayer. He likes government, he wants government, he is not going to privatize. You have congress to deal with, would they want to sell off the entire Postal Service . Politically unacceptable. See you at 11 00 a. M. A shark goes behind the lens shooting a video beneath the waves with a camera strapped to his fin. Coming up. Plus president obamas iraq strategy. What else can he do, what are the risks . Is there a strategy to stop isis . Apparently obama has none. A disturbing shift in the tactics being used by terrorists on the ground in iraq. We may soon see the future u. S. Airstrikes and that could be possible but the president has ruled out ground operations so what happens now . National security correspondent joins us in the pentagon. How exactly are these tactics changing at this moment . According to u. S. Defense officials, until now isis was behaving like a wellorganized army moving with strategic intent taking military objectives. Now we see a partial shift to classic insurgency tactics. With regards to the targets, one of the things we have seen is they have been in the open, they are now starting to dissipate and hide amongst the people. The targeting will become more difficult. In some ways that shows how effective airstrikes can be. One reason they marched so quickly across iraq is the air force to not really exist. In order for the airstrikes to be effective, u. S. Ground forces would be needed to permanently push isis back. There will be no reintroduction of american combat forces into iraq. There is tension between the pentagon and white house state s department because once again the military they feel is being asked to fix a problem after diplomacy failed but given a very limited mission. The secretary was asked about a photo of an australian boy in syria getting a lot of attention, jennifer. It is this propaganda photo of a sevenyearold boy, an australian boy taken to syria to fight on behalf of vices. He had shown holding the severed head of the soldier. It elicited a strong response from u. S. Victory of state tod today. One of the most disturbing, grotesque photographs ever displayed of a sevenyearold Child Holding a severed head with the support and encouragement of a parent. Parent. Martha thank you. Bill give it power struggle at the top. A new Prime Minister ending the rule of the u. S. Has supported. The spokesperson and advisor for the u. N. With in the studio, good morning to you. This frost on the ap an hour a ago. Almaliki order not to interfere but to secure the nation. What is going on here, what we believe, who is on whose side . The Security Forces tweeted out last night a statement basically saying they are there for the security of all iraqi because there is this rumor they are loyal to him. People were already coming together at his ceremony to swear him in. I think almaliki is feeling the pressure over the last several weeks and we have seen the iranians dump him, we have seen others dump him, the americans dump him. We have wanted him out, but we really havent had a diplomatic plan to pressure him. Our arab allies could have played a much larger role if we had a diplomatic plan to pressure him a while ago. Once they dont view, theres not much left. Bill what is the diplomatic plan on behalf of the United States . Im troubled by this july 25 letter from susan rice. She wrote the speaker of the house, not getting very much attention, but our National Security advisor is asking for congress to remove the war authorization that had been going on. First of all lets just say if you are going to play to your liberal base to say candidate obama wanted all troops home for his fulfilling his promise, let the political people right these letters, the National Security advisor, shouldnt that person be wanting as much power on the table . Isnt that person the one who should be saying i want war authorization everywhere in case i needed . The titles National Security advisor. Bill the fact she is writing that tells you what . This is totally politics. Moving all troops from iraq and afghanistan, they are panicking right now becauseir base is seriously troubled by what is going on in iraq. I will give you one more examp example. Last night on msnbc this morning on msnbc, there is a panic at the state department. They dont know how to react to their liberal base crumbling because they see president obama going back into iraq. All were asking for is to have a diplomatic plan. You dont have to resort to military action immediately, lets have a plan. Bill do you think they can keep the country together . I hope so, but we should be playing a supportive role when all of our allies in the region to do what we can. Bill so maybe. Do you think this president despite the fact every 15 minutes saying no boots on the ground, are they going to be dragged back in . No boots on the ground is exactly what this letter is, politics. You cant have a commander in chief that takes away the threat of military action, even if that is your plan, dont give it aw away. Bill good point. Martha. Martha this child in a baby stroller rolling off the platform onto subway tracks. Wmostly what happened here. Bill a lot of pain for a lot of years, we will talk to an expert about depression how to help those who suffer from it as we remember from age 63s life of Robin Williams. I was just outside the coffee shop and i started crying. The inexplicable emotion of a true loss. Captain obvious i probably wouldnt stay here tonight. Man thanks, captain obvious. Captain obvious id get a deal for tonight with deals for tonight from hotels. Com. And you might want to get that pipe fixed. Bill dramatic video of a baby and a stroller falling in the tracks in london. The father turned his back for just a second and a gust of wind pushed the stroller on the platform and down on the tracks. A woman leaps onto the tracks to rescue the baby. Another man pulled the stroller back on the platform only moments before another train pulls in. Martha a little lock on the back. Amazing. Lucky. The institutions, you know what i mean . You havent taking a medication, it is going to be fun. All right, mr. Williams. Look, flipper. [laughter] right now there is a man going what are you doing . You are a nice man, you wont hurt me. Thank you. Dont be afraid. The source went away. Martha great to see Johnny Carsons utter delight watching Robin Williams. His first appearance with Johnny Carson in 1981. We now can play the police are set to hold a News Conference later today. The actor was found dead in his home of an apparent suicide. The news director for tmz and we have with us clinical psychologist who is the founder of the Hills Treatment Center in medical. What can you tell us . They didnt release information about exactly how Robin Williams killed himself. Law enforcement cap that back overnight, but i can tell you just confirmed it was a hanging inside of his residence. So far they have not found any suicide note or anything left for his wife or family. We broke the story on tmz. Com on july 1 only a few weeks ago he checked himself into a Rehab Facility in minnesota. I spoke to people that were around him at the time he entered the facility and he said he had not fallen off the wagon. Very widely known he has struggled with addiction, but usually when someone 20 years sober checks into rehab he would think they had fallen off the wagon of some sort. He had not, we are told, he was just struggling and internalizing that addiction. Someone who talks to him as he checked himself in a few weeks ago said he seemed like it might be a little too little too late for him, he was in such a place but obviously such a shocking situation. Law enforcement has just released that it was a hanging inside of his home with no note. Martha what terrible news. What goes through your mind . What goes through my mind is that he never should have left. Thousands and thousands of americans suffer from alcoholism and depression. There are two major issues here, the first thing is you need to go into a Treatment Center to be stabilized in your alcoholism and addiction to get into recovery and sober. But then comes the more difficult part at diagnosing what the chemical imbalances going on in the brain. Now you really need to be in treatment three or four months and stabilize at only in recovery but education that you are not depressed anymore, having symptoms like bipolar, mania, depression. Until that happens, released from the Treatment Center. Left way too early. Martha in terms of how he was feeling about life, his career, any information on that . I can tell you one of the interesting things looking back a few months on interviews he had done, he mentioned some financial struggles. You would assume Robin Williams has a gigantic estate, some net worth predictions and some numbers online were around 130 million but he did an interview recently of selling one of his homes, almost in bankruptcy, needed to kind of settle some of those things so we always look at those things when Something Like this tragic happens because when we worked on Michael Jacksons death, michael had addiction problems and actually struggling with chemical dependency. In this case we knew robin had been sober over 20 years. I spoke with his publicist and his people at the time we were about to publish the story on july 1 and they were very adamant robin was fine, he had some issues he needed to work out to stay committed to his sobriety, but he wasnt off the wagon, wasnt something where he needed to detox or stay in the facility as a gentleman was saying, simply told me she needed to kind of refocus himself. Obviously when he went there, people have a lot different look at what he was like and his issues. It seemed to them when they first talked to them he had probably waited too long, maybe because he didnt want to put himself out there as such a big celebrity, but it had been way too long and he was in dire need of treatment. Martha thank you, good to have it both with us today. Bill happening now rolls herr way with jenna lee. Bill yeah. Jenna any predictions . Martha i think it is a girl. Jenna why .
