Can you believe some of the left are making a big deal about how President Trump has bigger salt and pepper shakers than his guests at the white house . Rich hush limbaugh joins Rush Limbaugh joins me later this hour. The i. G. Report is finally being released tomorrow, so we may have a split screen for some of the coverage because democrats also set to have a big hearing in the House Judiciary Committee presenting the evidence they say they have of the president after the release of a lengthy report. And chairman jerry nadler this morning says hell presume by introduce articles of impeachment later this week. Lawmakers on both sides reacting this morning. We have asked the president , weve invited him to testify, to send witnesses, weve invited him to send his counsel to crossexamine witnesses. Hes declined to do all of this. If he had any exculpatory evidence, they would have brought it forward. Clinton actually committed a crime, nixon committed a crime. Theres been no crime in this case at all. In fact, the facts dont equal up to it. Were impeaching on inferred evidence . Ed republican debbie lasco joins me with her thoughts, but we begin with our correspondent, david spunt, he is live on capitol hill. Good afternoon, david. Reporter good afternoon to you. Day two of a working weekend here for house judiciary democrats. They are meeting to rehearse for that big hearing tomorrow when they formally receive the Intelligence Committees report and figure out how they want to move ahead with impeachment. As you know, it is full steam ahead for many democrats. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on thursday announced she is formally Going Forward with articles of impeachment. Congressman David Cicilline spoke with Chris Wallace just a few hours ago. Listen. The Judiciary Committee will hear from the Intelligence Committee counsel who will detail that the president of the United States attempted to coerce a foreign leader to interfere in american president ial election, to assist him in his reelection, undermining the National Security of the United States for his own benefit. This is a classic example of an impeachable offense. Reporter ed, think of tomorrow as opening arguments in a trial. Its really one step closer to voting for impeachment on the house floor. This morning congressman mark meadows also weighed in. We have the judiciary team changing the guidelines and the rules for what impeachment is all about. All of a sudden theres newfound evidence by jerry nadler and his team, its because the facts are not supporting their argument. Reporter and late friday the president s counsel announced the administration really wants nothing to do with participating in the hearings. Judiciary chairman nadler invited the white house to send witnesses. That will not happen, but i can say this morning, ed, on the way in one congressman said she still willing to allow the president s team to participate. We hope that the president will engage. After so much shouting about the unness of the process and lack of unfairness of the process and lack of due process, he has had numerous occasions to come before us, at least two in the Judiciary Committee, to present his case and his evidence. And the fact that he doesnt tells me a lot about the weakness of his defense. Reporter that hearing will gavel in 9 00 tomorrow morning, expected to last all day. As for a timeline on articles of impeachment, ed, as you know, youve been here on the hill, many said they believe this week, some people say possibly next week. But most believe it will be before the end of the year. Ed we appreciate that, david, as we await that News Conference in pensacola, this fox news alert. We are learning more about the victims of fridays shooting who are now being honored as heroes. Our correspondent Jonathan Serrie is live in pensacola with more as he awaits the News Conference. Jonathan . Reporter in fact, ed, if that News Conference begins, we will take you there live. In the meantime, what know so far we know so far, the navy says the three victims who lost their lives were all aviation students here at Naval Air Station pensacola. They include ensign joshua watson, a 23yearold from alabama, airman mohamed hatham, a 19yearold from st. Petersburg, florida, and a third student not pictured, airman apprentice Cameron Scott walters from richmond hill, georgia. The sailors who lost their lives in the line of duty and showed bravery, when on fronted, they didnt run confronted, they ran towards the danger and saved lives. The fbi has officially identified the shooter as mohammed alshamrani, a 21yearold Second Lieutenant in the Royal Saudi Air force who was among hundreds of foreign students from ally countries who studied aviation at the base. A u. S. Official says the suspect hosted a dinner Party Last Week in which he showed videos of Mass Shootings and that authorities are questioning several saudi students, at least one who was seen recording video as fridays attack unfolded. Florida senator marco rubio, who met with faith officials, tweeted today investigators worked through the night here in pensacola. Its important we learn how and why this attack happened so we can fix any shortcoming in our vetting of Foreign Military trainees because this is an Important Program for nas pensacola and america. Northcom is calling for increased random security checks at its bases as a precaution to prevent future incidents like this, and the fbi is asking anyone with more information on the shooter or his activities leading up to the shooting to contact them at 1800callfbi. Ed . Ed all right, jonathan. Working long hours, appreciate it. Lets bring in arizona congresswoman debbie lasco, republican who sits on the Judiciary Committee, also on the Armed Services committee. Congresswoman, thanks for coming in on sunday. Thank you for having me. Ed i appreciate it very much, because theres a lot of money to get to. Just breaking in the wall street journal, our sister publication, i want to summarize it briefly are. Theyre saying, you know, so weve got this saudi airman, 21 years old, Second Lieutenant in the Royal Saudi Air force. Hes training with the americans. More than a hundred countries do this, theyre supposed to be our allies. He was about to graduate in august, about to complete the program. But it appears that last year he went back to saudi arabia, and the story basically is breaking news that the saudi government is investigating whether he was radicalized on that trip last year. What do we need to do to get to the bottom of this case and make sure the vetting in this program is better . Well, obviously, we need to review the vetting process. I represent Luke Air Force base in arizona, and we also do training of pilots there for a number of different countries. So not saudi arabia, we dont do saudi arabia in arizona, but this is very important. Obviously, this was someone that was out to get other americans. We dont know all the facts yet, but its obvious to me that this needs to be reviewed. The whole vetting process needs to be reviewed, and standards need to be higher. Ed absolutely. What about a review of our relationship with the government of saudi arabia, the kingdom there . Supposed to be an ally, supposed to be a friend, but listen to your colleague, republican matt gaetz was on abc, and then earlier on fox friends there was a Lieutenant Colonel whose son trained at pensacola at one time, and he had some strong words for saudi arabia. Listen to this. Theres a special kind of grief when the bravest, most patriotic americans are putting themself in harms way to train people from other countries to be able to protect and defend their own country and then they kill us for it. Of course what happened in pensacola has to inform on our ongoing relationship with saudi arabia. Its also time that, you know, the saudi prince, you know, come forward and, you know, he says hes sorry, he says hes angry, he says he loves america. Thats not enough. If he really loves america and he really means that, he needs, he needs the full disclosure, full disclosure to these families about who these foreign nationals werement. Ed congresswoman, you sit on the house Armed Services committee. Whats going to be done to make sure the saudi government is really cracking down on terror . Well, i think its best to get all the facts first before we comment and prejudge things. I mean, weve had these type of Training Programs for years, and its good to develop relationships with other countries. And so i dont want to prejudge it. Lets make sure we get all the facts out first, see what has to be done, and then lets decide what were going to do. Ed yeah. We certainly hope to hear some more of those facts at this News Conference. Before i get to impeachment, one last question. I dont want to forget the heroes mentioned at the top of the show. One of them who tried to stop the shooter we dont have a photo yet of mr. Walters but then ensign watson was dying and in his final breaths were told that he went to the First Responders and pointed out where the shooters location was so that they could stop him and that he could save other lives. Well, im sure his family is in great sorrow today, but i want to say to his family and to all of the people that are heroes, thank you. Thank you. America thanks you, because people like you are the ones that save our country and protect our country. So thank you for his service. Ed absolutely. What an inspiring story even amid the grief and the tragedy. As i mentioned, its a hard turn, but i do want to get to some of the politics of the day because youll be sitting at this hearing tomorrow. And our report that david spunt mentioned about the constitutional grounds for impeachment, theres one part in particular where the question is not whether the president s conduct could have resulted from permissible motives, it is whether the president s real reasons, the ones in his mind at the time, were legitimate. Are the democrats focusing on actual evidence against the president , or are they trying to divine what was in his mind in. You know, as you said, i sit on the Judiciary Committee, and since january we have really been doing impeachment like inquiries. I mean, nadler even called it that even before it was formal. So its really hard for me to put any faith in what the democrats are doing right now. I mean, its really sad because they are really lowering the bar of impeachment standards. I mean, i its unbelievable that yesterday Late Afternoon they dumped on us, republicans, thousands and thousands of documents when we have the hearing monday morning, and we asked for those documents over a month ago. This is just a continuation of unfair process, rushed process. Theyre making up stuff. I mean, for goodness sakes, they did polling asking, okay, quid pro quo doesnt work good, lets change to bribery. And then they kind of, like, redefined what bribery means. I mean, this is unconscionable. I know some of these democrats on the Judiciary Committee, and i like some of the democrats on the Judiciary Committee. I wish that they would see what theyre doing. I think they are blinded by hatred for President Trump, and i just dont understand it ed well, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as you know, insists its not about hatred, but understandable you and some of the president s allies feel that way. Quick last question, got about 30 seconds. Does do you believe nancy pelosi has the votes to push through impeachment on the house floor, these articles we expect later this week in or cnn is reporting that some of these moderate democrats are telling their leadership in private, im not sure were onboard. Well, i dont know for sure because im not in Nancy Pelosis inner circle. But i think they have the votes. I think they were going to do this. It was predetermined. I mean, they were going to do this for months now, maybe years now that theyve wanted to do this. I think they have the votes, but i think theyre going to lose members over this. Ed congresswoman debbie lesko, we appreciate you joining us this sunday. Thank you. Ed up next, well get the democratic reaction. Is Speaker Pelosi jumping the gun by calling for these articles before the hearings are even over . Plus, iowa frontrunner Pete Buttigieg facing new scrutiny over his work with a high profile haw firm. Were live from the trail, and were keeping an eye on pensacola, florida, as mentioned, where the fbi will update us and the nation on the deadly shooting at a naval base. You see officials are starting to arrive from the fbi on the deadly shooting in pensacola. Lets just listen and see what theyre saying . Looks like theyre still setting up the room, obviously, so were going to stay on this for a second here. Okay, we just got a two minute warning, so why dont we go to iowa where we find our correspondent ellison barber, because shes been tracking Pete Buttigieg and others. Okay, were not going to go to ellison. Pete buttigieg on the trail there in the hawkeye state. We also today have joe biden and john kerry who just recently endorsed him are in New Hampshire. Joe biden recently wrapped up the no malarkey bus tour. Lets bring in ethan barron, liberal radio talk show host, left coast news. Im sorry that were a little shortened here, but its good to have you on the new show, ethan. Give you a chance first before we get to 2020 real quick on impeachment, what are your thoughts . Well, look, its a clear process laid out in our constitution. The democrats are following it, and more oddly is the white House Counsel is the one asking to rush it with his letter that came out on friday. Theyre documenting it, the republicans have been part of all of the hearings from day one, so this is a normal and political process. Its not a civil trial, its not a criminal trial. The house is like a grand jury. The president has declined to participate as well. This is moving forward the way it should. Ed where are we on 2020 . Because there are a lot of republicans on the hill, and you heard one of the republican congresswomen saying this, that essentially you cant beat the president at the ballot box, so youre trying to impeach him. I dont think thats right. I think doing the right thing when a president is violating numerous federal laws allegedly as being put fort in the impeachment, we have a lot of issues moving forward. Doing the right thing even when you dont complete a crime is still something that gets charged in regular courts, and thats what the democrats are moving forward with here. Ed i want to read something from salon. Com. They had an interesting story where theyre going after the president , of course, but they come after the democrats. Trumps corruption and criminality, they claim, will not be enough motivation for a sufficient number of voters to reject him at the polls. To force him from the white house is and into a life of shame, they say, the democrats must answer some fundamental questions. What do they stand for . What vision of a better america do they propose . And how will they make it real in without that clarity of vision, there is little hope of victory. This is a liberal publication calling out your party. How do you answer that . Instead of just investigating the president , whats your partys position . I think thats a great point. And impeachment is not about nullifying an election, its not about 20. That is a separate process. So the primary is about the election, you know, talk about mayor buttigieg, but joe biden is on a roll, he has a long track record to demonstrate what he will do for america when he wins the nomination and runs in the general election against donald trump. Thats what that is about. And joe biden is absolutely laying that vision out to to conflate the two is a mistake. Ed there was an interesting bit on saturday night live last night. Theyre usually poking fun at the president , but they went after the speaker of the house. Watch. I am not impeaching trump because i hate him. I pray for him all the time. [laughter] lord, help donald trump. If he has to be president , please make him a little better at any of it. [laughter] and please, take him. Not to heaven or anything, just somewhere else. [laughter] prayers are a little passive aggressive. No, no, no, some of them are aggressive aggressive. Ed shes invoked her catholic faith this week inzitsing she insisting that she doesnt hate the president. What does it tell you that maybe not even saturday night live is buying that . I think its interesting because, remember, the progressive wing of the Democratic Party was pushing her, saying why are you dragging your feet . I think she was very deliberate in this process, shes absolutely followed the facts where they lead and done it in a fashion that will stand up to scrutiny, which it is. And, therefore, you know, when she says she doesnt hate the president and she prays for him, i take her at face value. Ed okay. Lets get back to 2020 as we await this News Conference in pensacola. You know, i teed it up with Pete Buttigieg, he still leads some of the polls in iowa, but as you know, the former Vice President , joe biden, is trying to make a, you know, kind of have a surge there with the no malarkey bus tour. Some people sort of laughed that off, his critics, and then he got the endorsement of john kerry. Still doesnt have the endorsement of former president obama. Real quick, what are your thoughts on where we are with biden and buttigieg . Its interesting, mayor buttigieg is showing hes new to National Politics with some of the things that are tripping him up. We know joe biden, exactly who he is, where east been, what he stands for, how hes led on Environmental Issues since the 1980s in the senate. He has strong, people of color support in south carolina, nevada and others. Thats where mayor buttigieg is doing well, in iowa, which is not representative demographically of the nation. I think joe biden is in great shape. Ed you saw a live picture of him a moment ago in New Hampshire with john kerry. Remember, john kerry was left for dead in iowa and ended up winning it with a late surge. Joe biden trying to repeat. That hope to have you back soon. Thank you so much, ed. Ed in the meantime, as noted, we are awaiting the fbi update on the shooting at the Pensacola Naval base. Now they seem to be conferring behind closed doors. Were going to take a quick break and get back right after this. Doing whats right, not whats easy. So when a hailstorm hit, usaa reached out before he could even inspect the damage. Thats how you do it right. Usaa insurance is made just the way martins family needs it with hasslefree claims, he got paid before his neighbor even got started. Because doing right by our members, thats whats right. Usaa. What youre made of, were made for. Usaa now and forever more. Every gift helps keep them alive and shows your love to gods p. To to to to whether you can help one time o month you will recieve gods blessings when you bless these children o. I pray that god will speak to y now. We need your help more than ever before. Ed all right. Welcome back to this fox news alert. You see were still beating. Theres the podium, we are waiting for fbi officials, maybe other local Law Enforcement coming out as well. Theyve 2007 the two minute warning given the two minute warning, were waiting for them to come out. The wall street journal is reporting that saudi authorities are now investigating if the pensacola gunman was radicalized inside the kingdom last year. Remember, he was a saudi pilot who was training with the u. S. Military at that naval base in pensacola, florida. He was expected to be finished with that program in august, next summer, august of 2020. And, obviously, before that happened, had a dinner party shortly before this rampage. And at the dinner party, officials are saying he basically was showing videos of Mass Shootings, something that was obviously deeply disturbing was also here in new york city, visiting museums, visiting Rockefeller Center. You see the shooter right there, mohammed alshamrani, 21yearold Second Lieutenant in the Royal Saudi Air force. You have various republicans on the hill like matt gaetz pressing saudi officials for answers as this investigation continues. Were expecting fbi officials, potentially local Law Enforcement, Navy Officials as well from this base could be there. This will be happening any moment. I think in the meantime, we have jenna ellis from the trump campaign. And if that does not start, lets bring her in, because house intel ranking republican devin nunes was talking today about not just the impeachment drama, jenna, but the fact that we are expecting the fisa abuse report coming out from the doj Inspector General. Lets start with that report, because we havent had a chance to talk about that yet as we await this breaking news. Welcome, first of all, jenna. Thank so much for having me. Ed the democrats want the focus to be whats happening in the House Judiciary Committee tomorrow, but theres a report from the Inspector General thats important as well. Well, do they really want the focus to be on the, whats happening in the impeachment, or is this really kind of their focus away from the i. G. Report . Because i think thats going to be a really important report, and its going to be important for the American People to see. I mean, we know that there was spying on the trump 2016 campaign, and whether or not there will be charges, i think we have to wait and see. But thats going to be a really important day tomorrow. I think, ed, as far as the impeachment drama here, were seeing a couple of things. We had the report come out from the senate Judiciary Committee yesterday that said a really, really important thing that i want to highlight, because they said specifically that past impeachment constitutional parameters are no longer sufficient to address impeachment. And so they actually went on to say that, and im reading here, that the impeachment, quote, exists not to inflict punishment from wrong doing, but rather save the nation from conduct that endangers the rule of law ed all right, jenna. Well, that will be jenna, pardon me, the News Conference is about to start. That will obviously be a big debate. I apologize, but lets go to this fox news alert. Here are the officials. And the loved ones of those who were killed and wounded in this attack, i made a commitment that all the resources of the federal government of these United States would be brought to bear and no expense would be squared, and everything would be done to bring all the resources necessary to promptly investigator this attack. Investigate this attack. I also committed to the family and loved ones of those who were killed and wounded that there would be relentless effort, that the effort would be 24 7, and thats exactly whats to occurred. We have all the resources here in place now at pensacola Naval Air Station. They are in place. And the personnel that are there are working 24 7 shifts to do all the things that are done in investigations, to get them promptly addressed and resolved. I have here with me today special agent in charge rachel row has of the federal bureau of rojas of the federal bureau of investigation. In a few moments, she will give you a status assessment of this investigation. We also have with us here today a number of other folks who are critical and key leaders of the component agencies. We have here with us to my far right special agent in charge of the fbi jim jewel, special agent in charge rovas is immediately on my right. We have James Sparrow of Homeland Security investigations and mr. Matthews of the naval criminal investigative service. These are the key agency head leaders that are out there working 24 7 on this investigation. I want to make one comment before special agent rojas is involved here. Beyond the investigation itself about what happened and whether and to what extent other individuals or organizations were involved in the attack that occurred, we know and understand that there is concern in the Community Whether theres any sort of ongoing coordinated efforts or activity by anyone that create a risk or threat in this community. And i can say to you as a lifetime member of this community that i feel comfortable knowing all the things that i know, with all the sources that i have which include all of the intelligence apparatus and everything of the federal government. Without going into critical detail here at this moment, i would be perfectly glad for any member of my family to be out in public going to stores, going to restaurants and living our lives here in the panhandle, because i believe knowing everything that i know that the Community Safe and theres not any sort of immediate, direct threat of any additional terror threats at this time. At this time i will pass things over to special agent in charge rachel rojas. Good morning. Thank you, everyone, for being here. Thank you for being patient. I know that [inaudible] and i do appreciate your patience. But as i said earlier from day one, this is our chance to get this right, and im going to take my time to make sure i get the information out as quickly as i can, but i need it to be accurate. So i am special agent in charge of the jacksonville division, and i represent here in pensacola. My name is rachel rojas, again, for those i have not met. It is nice to meet you all today. Thank you, again, for your continued efforts to responsibly cover this tragedy and get the story right. My goal today is to con ray the facts convey the facts about this investigation. My goal here so to make sure that i give you the most accurate and timely information and that its reported accurately in the media. Today were entering our third day of investigating this horrific attack at nas pensacola. It took the lives of three innocent victims and forever changed the lives of eight others who are, thankfully, thankfully, recovering from their injuries. Last night we confirmed that the shooters been identified as a 21yearold Second Lieutenant in the Royal Saudi Air force who was a student naval flight officer at Naval Aviation schools command. While there are many reports circulating regarding the shooters motivation and his a alleged activities leading to his attack, i can tell you that we are looking very hard at uncovering his motive. And i would ask for patience so we can get this right. We have received Media Questions about the disposition of some of the shooters classmates. There are a number of saudi students who were close to the shooter and continue to cooperate in this investigation. Their saudi Commanding Officer has restricted them to base, and the saudi government has pledged to fully cooperate with our investigation. I thank the kingdom for their pledge of full and complete cooperation. We are, as we do in most active shooter investigations, working with the presumption that this was an act of terrorism. This allows us to take advantage of investigative techniques that can help us more quickly identify and then eliminate any additional potential threats to the rest of our community. As we have stated multiple times, our investigation has not led us to any information that indicates any credible threat to our community. As we speak, members of the Fbis Joint Terrorism Task force and the fbis Counterterrorism Division are working tirelessly to discern, if any, possible ideology that may have been a factor in this attack. But theyre working alongside members of our criminal investigate i Team Investigative team as well. So we are all on the same page. No matter which direction our investigation ultimately takes. So far the fbi has dedicated 80 special agents and task force officers, and there are nearly 100 professional staff from field offices across the country on this investigation. That is in addition to the many, many resources that have been provided by the atf, ncis, hsi, fdle and numerous other state and local agencies. Today we are here collectively focused on conducting additional interviews of witnesses, base personnel and the shooters friends, classmates and other associates. Our main goal right is to confirm right now is to confirm whether he acted a alone or was he a part of a larger network. We currently assess there was one gunman who perpetrated this take and no arrests have been made in this case. Finish there have been many reports that the fbi is searching for or unable to find certain individuals. I can report that the fbi is working side by side with the u. S. Navy, and they have confirmed to us that they have 100 accountability on all International Students from nas pensacola. This is a large investigation. We have not yet completed every interview. And we will continue to set up many more interviews over the next coming days. But this is not indicative of any danger to this community. This is an active and gone going investigation. We are seeking those facts. And in order to do so, we are conducting these interviews. Once again, our investigation has not led us to any information that indicates that there is any credible threat to our community. However, as always, we encourage you to keep an eye out for each other, especially after a tragedy like this one. If you see something, please, say something. And if you saw something, anything, please, provide that information about the shooter that you think that might be relevant in this case. There is absolutely nothing too small. Anything you have, we will take every single tip seriously. And we encourage you to come forward. We have designated representatives on our tip line which is 1800callfbi. And if they are available to take any information that you are willing to provide about him, where youve seen him, any of his activities, anything you may know, please share with the Law Enforcement community. In the next coming days, we will continue to rely upon our partnerships with multiple agencies, and only some who are here standing with us at the podium here today. But were also going to continue to rely on you, the media, and our community. The answers we all want may not come quickly. Our experience tells us that its better to take our time and do this right rather than to rush and potentially come to inaccurate conclusions. We can that if you wait for the facts and for us to run down any and all investigative leads so that we can all Work Together as one to bring justice to the victims which is why were here today, the loss of our victims and those that have sacrificed through their heroic efforts at nas pensacola. Its why were here. So we can Work Together for them and now their families. So with that, well take some questions. How would you describe your relationship with your local Law Enforcement, particularly Escambia County Sheriffs Office who were the first ones on the scene . How critical has their information been from their first moments to where you are today . As i mentioned in our remarks, the relationship and partnerships have been critical, and we are very grateful to to Escambia County and its heroic efforts of his deputies on that day. One of a kind. And we are very grateful for their response. And we thank him every day for that. And we are very fortunate to have wonderful partners at all levels, the local, state and federal. If i can quickly just add one thing and well go back to you. I want you to know a little bit about whats happening out there, i wanted to share a little bit about whats happening on scene in particular with regard to the mindset or the momentum that we developed. When we came and hit the ground federally, sheriff morgan, deputy chief, chief deputy simmons, the stories that we heard about the heroics of the Escambia County sheriffs deputies and the military Security Forces that engaged the shooter and knowing all the details that we know, more will come out later, it motivated all of us. Sometimes at three or four in the morning on these 24 7 shifts, but we wanted to salute sheriff morgan and deputy chief simmons for instilling the culture that resulted in those two folks at their office wading into that gunfire. It was a motivator and still is a motivator for us. [inaudible] talk about the several saudi classmates of the shooter. One our reporting shows that there was a dinner party where mass shooting videos were showed. Can you confirm that happen, and more importantly, do you believe anybody knew about this attack beforehand . As you know, we still have a lot of answers just as you do out there, there are a lot of answers that im not prepared to answer as we continue to investigate. There are several students that are cooperating and providing information, and as we continue to vet those leads, i will provide that information as soon as i can. But i do have to have the integrity of our investigation, so i wont be answering very specifics. As i go through that and we continue to share information, if i can and as soon as i can i have numerous press officers in here to make sure that as immediately as we can get that information to you, we will be sharing it. [inaudible conversations] do you believe there was anything nefarious about any videos that were taken . Again, as much as i would love to answer any questions about the videos or any other presumption of information thats out there, my goal is not to continue the misinformation campaign. Im here to just continue to gather facts. Theres a lot of review, theres a lot of followup information that needs to be done to insure that information has been evented and its accurate and it can be shared. It will be. [inaudible conversations] can you talk about [inaudible] again, the gun weapon it was a. 45 glock. 9 mm, that has been confirmed, he did pressure it legally and lawfully. The atf has the process listed on their web site. There is readily available Public Information for you to get that and how they can purchase a weapon lawfully [inaudible conversations] ms. Rojas, you talked about controlling the misinformation. A very simple question that can help clear out any misinformation. Did somebody record the shooting as a it happened . Again, there ising obviously, a lot of information that there is, obviously, a lot of information that continues to be vetted. As you know, this is a navy base, theres a lot of review that still needs to go on as to whats happened that day but you said and as we continue to do that, we will do so. If theres misinformation, please clear it up for us. Next question, please. [inaudible conversations] could you repeat that . I didnt hear the first one. Is the fbi looking at alshamranis travel into and out of the United States [inaudible] the country in 2018 and at some point left and reentered in 2019, in february . Can you confirm that or tell us where he might have traveled . Again, these are investigative leads. Obviously, we are going to check all travel information. We are very fortunate to have numerous agencies and partners here to help us vet all that information out. As those details become available, we will be sharing that information. [inaudible] can you confirm it was a glock. 9 mm, and can you tell us what state . Again, im not going to confirm the state, but it was florida. 9 mm glock 45 . Model model 45. Can you tell us the level of cooperation [inaudible] again, like i said, theyre not in our custody. But as i said, theyre not in our custody. A lot of the individuals that were on base are cooperating with their saudi official government, and they have been instructed to follow their commanders lead. They are on base, and they continue to assist us in answering our investigative questions. Ladies and gentlemen [inaudible] are you investigating this shooters background in saudi arabia . Do you have agents working with Saudi Arabian authorities on the ground there . We are working with every Single International and domestic partner to insure that we vet every single lead as necessary. Last question in the back right there. Is it true the saudi government has offered to pay the victims [inaudible] im sorry, that has not come to my attention as to what the saudi government has paid or not paid. I have told you that the saudi government has pledged their cooperation and their commitment, and they have done so to this date in helping us with the questions and investigative leads that leads to the shooter and his classmates and associates. [inaudible] all right. Thank you very much. [inaudible conversations] ed okay. Youve been looking live, obviously, and listening to this News Conference down in pensacola, florida. Let me briefly recap a lot of information, most important headline is for the first time the fbi and the special agent in charge you heard from is saying their presumption is this was, in fact, an act of terrorism in pensacola. They added another important piece which is theres currently no credibly threat credible threat to that community in pensacola or the country writ large. They have 80100 fbi agents, officials working this case. And a key question theyre probing is whether or not the shooter acted alone or was part of a larger network. Thats an obvious question weve all been wondering. Theyre probing it but do not have an answer, reluctant to go into detail. One of the other most interesting pieces of information several saudi students who survived are cooperating. They are on base in pensacola helping the fbi authorities. So what are they telling, will be very important in the days ahead. Lets bring in walid phares, fox news National Security and Foreign Affairs analyst. I appreciate you joining us by phone. What struck you about the News Conference . Well, first of all, the fbi and the other Law Enforcement agencies have provided the public, all of us, with very clear information. Number one, that they dont have evidence now that there were others involved, but that could change fending on investigation. Depending on investigation. Number two, the shooting at the base was by one person. So those issues are clear. And the first point, basically, is that they are cooperating with the saudi government because it involves a foreign national, saudi pilot, member of the armed forces of saudi arabia, so this involves cooperation between the United States and saudi arabia. It involves cooperation here in the United States and across all the agencies and, of course, inside saudi arabia as well. Ed our sister publication, we noted at the top of the hour, the wall street journal, is reporting and just broke the story a short time ago that saudi officials, to your point, are now investigating whether or not the shooter, the gunman who is now dead, obviously, killed by Law Enforcement in the middle of this tragedy, he took a trip last year to the kingdom. And the journal is reporting that saudi authorities are investigating whether or not this student was radicalized on that trip. What do you make of that . You know, ed, that is going to be the Biggest Issue after determining the actual facts, is how the radicalization occurred. Let me just give you i have been teaching and giving seminars to many, many foreign officers over the past decade including saudis, including middle easterners. And the issue of radicalization has always been there including for the saudis. The Current Situation in saudi arabia is that there is a mass reform against extremism. So now for the saudis, its a crucial issue. Its an issue of National Security, how come, why would there be a member of the armed forces radicalized and how. So they are, they have a big a task ahead of them. Ed yeah. And you add some important context. I understand there are dozens of countries, allies of the United States who participate in the program that you mentioned where we are training some of their military officials like this pilot in this instance. But something went horribly wrong here with this tragedy, and there are all kinds of officials now demanding answers about whether there should be more serious extreme vetting of who exactly is participating in this program. Another point i want to ask you about, walid, is the information of the dinner party maybe the night before this tragedy in which the shooter allegedly showed videos of Mass Shootings. There have also been reports that the shooter was here in new york city, visit ised Rockefeller Center visited Rockefeller Center, saw the Christmas Tree lighting a couple of days before this tragedy. Obviously raising questions about whether theres a terror cell, other people involved here, whether they were scouting out other sites. We dont want to get ahead of the facts, certainly, number one. And number two, the special agent made clear at one point in that News Conference i dont want to add to what she called a disinformation campaign. But when asked about some of those specifics i just mentioned, she refused to confirm or deny them. What do you make of the trip to Rockefeller Center, for example . You know, ed, based on the many years and cases weve had here on the homeland, i think, obviously, she is right. Because any little leak, any story would take the entire media and Analyst Community into developing analysis. It is much better to stick with the facts that the government, the fbi is providing. But as you said earlier, i mean, of course who was radicalizing him [inaudible] weve got to operate with what we have right now. One aspect i read about, quickly ed yeah. Both in saudi arabia and the United States is the social media. There needs to be [inaudible] ed no doubt about it. Walid phares, fox news National Security and Foreign Affairs analyst, we appreciate your insight on a very difficult day as we struggle to get some answers to these important questions. Thank you.
