Before the all important president ial election, donald trump getting back to a key issue thats a cornerstone of his campaign. Concerns over Border Security and immigration. The republican nominee is set to speak at the remembrance project, National Conference honoring americans killed by Illegal Immigrants. Then onto oklahoma and later he will be in colorado for whats shaping up to be a very busy weekend on the campaign trail. Peter doocy joins us live from houston. Peter, you have more on the Campaign Strategy in the lone star state. Reporter mr. Trump here in texas is trying to show the huge human toll he thinks a weak immigration policy can have. He is having a luncheon, hosted by remembrance project, theyre an organization that honors, tries to bring awareness to innocent american victims of murders by violent Illegal Immigrants. They say they want to stop importing additional crime and theyre big on enforcing laws that are already in place. Before trump stopped here, he was at a fundraiser in houston. We talked to the Texas Campaign chairman with dan patrick in the same role with the cruz campaign. He told us that Border Security is the big issue for republicans in the state and that fundraiser like this morning is big because republicans here, wealthy republicans are happy to write big checks for the partys nominee. Has there been further fallout from mr. Trumps remarks about president obamas birthplace . Reporter there has been this morning. The Clinton Campaign is pushing back hard on the part of trumps statement about where the president is born where he tries to explain the origin of birtherism. And her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it. I finished it. You know what i mean. President barack obama was born in the United States, period. Now we all want to get back to making america strong and great again. Reporter now the Clinton Campaigns response to that is that, quote, as multiple independent Fact Checkers have affirmed in years since, neither the 2008 campaign nor the candidate ever questioned the president s citizenship or birth certificate. When you listen to both statements, sounds like both campaigns, clinton and trump, are trying to move past the issue and onto other things. We expect mr. Trump at the hotel behind us in houston any minute talking immigration, his signature issue. When he does, we will try to bring you those remarks live in this program. Lets bring in governor john sununu from New Hampshire and former white house chief of staff under george h. W. Bush. Welcome, thank you for joining us. Happy saturday. Happy saturday to you, sir. First off, lets talk about the fact that the race between clinton and donald trump tightened up in a big way with some democrats anxious that mrs. Clinton is not doing enough to convince voters, particularly millennials to back her campaign. When you look at the latest quinnipiac poll, it shows mrs. Clintons share of young voters dropped off sharply when the polling includes Third Party Candidate gary johnson and joe stein. They could take big chunks of voters away from her. Some worry about lack of enthusiasm from Younger Voters that played a big role in president obamas victory. How do you see it . Well, you know, shes tried awfully hard to pander to the millennials, offering all kinds of things that apply to Student Loans and free college and way left when Bernie Sanders dragged her there. Even that is not really sticking with the millenial voters. Theyre torn between whether or not to support someone offering all of that or whether they want to support somebody, one of whose principal tenets is a growing economy is beginning to stick. I want to show viewers a moment that was uncomfortable for mrs. Clinton during a clinton event. Mrs. Obama was campaigning for mrs. Clinton, talking about the first family pending departure from the white house when she was interrupted with chants from supporters. Take a listen. My family is almost at the end of our time at the white house. Yeah. Almost time. And let me say, i have to say, no, no. She was drowned out by groans from the crowd. This suggests from this crowd, theres no particular loyalty to mrs. Clinton. She has a lot of work to do, doesnt she . I think she has a tough campaign. The issues the republicans are addressing against mrs. Clinton are issues of character and whether shes too ill to serve. The issues on trump are issues of whether or not hes ready to be president and his demeanor. Trump can deal with the demeanor issue in the next five to seven, eight weeks. He can begin to address issues in substance as he has. She has 30 years of character warts to get rid of, and everybody with their eyes can see shes got health problems. I think her burden of proof is much more difficult than Donald Trumps burden of proof. This stage of the campaign in the final weeks before election day, some say mrs. Clinton is to stop going after mr. Trump, calling him names and such because shes throwing everything but the kitchen sink at him. Isnt it time for her to focus on talking about some of the issues . The race has really tightened. Look, she took that strategy because she knows her character and age issues are tough to deal with and she was trying to shift that kind of campaign onto trump. Obviously both candidates i think now are going to Start Talking about the specifics in their programs. But frankly this election is going to be determined by whether or not trump can project good demeanor and whether he has three debates in which he looks president ial. If he does that, i personally think theres nothing mrs. Clinton can do to win. Let me ask you this, as for donald trump, he is making more in roads with republicans who were on the fence about supporting him. What about in ohio where he is now leading and the governor, john kasich, who is republican, continues to say he will not support mr. Trump. Does that matter or not whether trump gets the backing of elected gop officials in these battleground states . Well, it should scare mrs. Clinton that trump is leading in ohio without the support of the governor of ohio so far. I think what trump has been doing is expressing both policy and demeanor thats been bringing republicans along, from those with him from the beginning, he is working on those that probably fall into the category of being willing to hold their nose and vote for trump. Thats the artform of a president ial campaign such as the one he has to run. So right now polls are indicating that trust between both candidates remains a big concern. Many frustrated voters are saying in polls and interviews they may sit it out about they dont like either candidate. It is a problem for both candidates as they have to learn how to address it. As i said earlier though, mrs. Clintons problem is one of character and 30 years of warts are hard to undo in seven weeks. Trumps problem is demeanor, i think he can handle that if he does well in terms of his presentations in the next seven weeks and does well with his demeanor in the debates. Governor john sununu. Nice to see you on this saturday. Appreciate it. Thank you. Donald trump as we have been reporting is trying to move past a distraction from his campaign by declaring the president was, in fact, born here in the u. S. , this after hesitating to say so earlier, and then blaming the controversy about the president s birth a place on Hillary Clinton. Joining us, mike huckabee, former 2016 republican president ial candidate and former governor of arkansas, along with being a fox news contributor. Welcome. Another governor in the house. Governor day on saturdays with uma. So excited. This birther issue, donald trump wants to put this thing to bed. Meanwhile, many in the Mainstream Media and others are saying no, no, no, this is just the beginning, theres more to this and were not satisfied with the answer. I think hillarys got a problem if she tries to make this a big issue about what he said several years ago. In her own campaign in 2008, Sid Blumenthal in the approach to mcclatchey news in d. C. , the iowa operative that eventually was fired from the Clinton Campaign for pushing this, or mark penn who was one of the key advisers to Hillary Clinton in the 2008 campaign, very respected political operative in the democratic party, he was even saying theres an opportunity here to kind of question some of these issues. He didnt specifically mention the birth issues but it was very clearly there. Look, its over. I know the press, theyre furious at donald trump because they got punked yesterday, pure and simple. Everybody should have learned from the primaries that youre not going to somehow outshow manship donald trump. He is going to come out on top of that every time and he proved yesterday that once again he owned the press. Some say that wasnt very smart, now theyre going to be against him. Hello, theyre already against him. And theres nothing hes ever going to do ever. He could buy them all a lifetime supply of trump steaks and theyre not going to like him, theyre not going to want to help him. He might as well have a little fun with them, push their buttons, and he certainly did it yesterday. Lets talk about the fact that the race is tightening up. A lot of folks are trying to analyze whether this is the fact that mrs. Clinton is losing support or whether donald trump is gaining more support. How do you see it . Donald trump has gained, the last several weeks he has focused, on message, not just a message of cookie cutter republican policies that people are sick of, he talked about things like child care, elderly care. His message about the economy, bringing jobs back. Fighting for america and american jobs. People want to hear that, they want us to win again. He is connecting there. You also have hillary, and it is not just the fact that she had the collapse last sunday. You know what, i think people can accept that not everybody will be in perfect health, even the president. Absolutely. If she had said look, heres something you need to know about me, i have x disease, i dont know that she does, i am just saying, if she just was very transparent, even if it is something thats chronic disease thats mildly debilitating, most americans would have said hey, you know what, a lot of us are dealing with issues and thats part of being a human being, certainly a woman who is nearly 70 years old. Instead, the narrative of i am doing great, then collapsing, an hour and a half later, everything is coming up roses, i mean, look, its the dishonesty. Thats why 70 of the American People dont trust her. When it comes to november when people go in that booth, theyre going to ask themselves this. Do i trust this person to be president . Getting push back about the fact she does raise that big concern over lets talk going forward, we have the debate coming up ten days from now. It will be must see tv, of course, an event that will be watched around the world. Let me ask you, you have been on that debate stage. You know what it takes to prepare. You have been in the thick of it. In the primaries we heard donald trump didnt really prepare that much, he felt he could hold his own against all of his rivals there. Do you think or do you know is he preparing really well at this stage of the game and really gearing up . He is preparing and hes having sessions and theres all of that going on. Be careful, dont let your handlers put you in a room, capture you, try to pump in your head facts and figures. Thats what you get tripped on. Worst debate performances ive seen, and i have been on stage with some of the people that did them, is when they were asked the question, they didnt answer it, they robotically spit out what they were told from handlers and sounded like it was on a card embedded in their heads. He is best when he is relaxed, spontaneous. He might make an error. People can handle the error. What they cant handle is phoneyness. He cant go out there, be something he is not, which is expert on every Prime Minister of 140 different countries. When you say let donald trump not be handled so much by his handlers, what if he comes across too hard, goes and attacks mrs. Clinton in a way he is used to, speaking off the cuff, that he may see as being playful or poking fun, others may see it as being something thats not proper decorum. Theres got to be a balance. Thats a matter of even then, he still is going to be donald trump. He has to be the nice, calm donald trump. But you know, theres a certain expectation were going to see him pushing hillarys buttons a little bit. And let me tell you something, i have known him rea long time. He will have opportunity to do that, then youll see fire coming out her nose and ears, it will be one of those moments. It could be a game changer. Debate prep, is he being advised not to react to the button pushing she may put against him . I think everybody is saying be in control, dont let somebody push your buttons. Quite frankly, again, having been on the stage with him, hes pretty good about maintaining sort of his own persona, doing what he does best, and thats commanding the stage. Hes very good at that. I expect thats what were going to see in the debates. All right, governor. A lot of pressure, you know what it is like to be up there with all eyes watching. Thank you for joining us in studio with your insight. Wonderful to have you on board. Thank you. We want to hear from you. Do you think the president ial debate will make a difference on the way america will vote or have folks already made up their mind. Tweet me. We will try to get to some of those answers later in the show. Now the latest on efforts to deliver lifesaving aid to aleppo, syria. The assad regime, accusing insurgents of firing on roads that lead to the city, threatening convoys carrying food and medical supplies. We have the latest on this very troubling situation from the middle east bureau. John . Reporter yeah, to say the least, uma. Not only assads regime but russia is seeing that opposition fighters continue to attack them and some of them are backed by the United States. In a way, theyre blaming the u. S. Saying were upholding our end of this agreement but you guys arent. You have to do more to stop the rebel fighters. Having said that, russian president Vladimir Putin addressing reporters during a trip said that rebel fighters backed by the United States are taking advantage of the ceasefire to regroup. Russian officials have also said that the u. S. Is not getting moderate Opposition Forces to separate from al qaedas affiliate in syria. President putin acknowledged this is a difficult task, but if it doesnt happen, other Russian MilitaryOfficials Say it could ultimately ruin and destroy the ceasefire. Then theres the other big point here, the issue of humanitarian aid. U. S. Officials say syrias government needs to ensure safe passage for a convoy of u. N. Humanitarian trucks stuck on the turkish side of the Syrian Border and that russia needs to oversee this. The trucks are carrying critical supplies to war ravaged aleppo, but again, the Syrian Government and russian Officials Say theyre the ones being attacked and cant clear the main road in aleppo, costello road. The back and forth created and continues to create more tension between the United States and russia. Still, despite this, uma, both countries say theyre willing to extend the ceasefire past monday, the seven day mark, when the u. S. And russia say theyll start sharing intelligence information and coordinating attacks on isis and al qaeda affiliates and insurgents and militants in syria, and u. S. Officials maintain that while not perfect, the ceasefire continues to hold. The concern is are we going to see this fall apart as weve seen in the past. Very desperate situation, particularly for those folks that really need that humanitarian aid in aleppo. John, thank you very much. Well, chilling new details in a Police Ambush making news now. The gunman shooting and killing by officers, not before finding a note. And three americans killed in action battling isis. Their bodies back on u. S. Soil. How theyre being remembered today. What he stood for, made it easier for us to accept him going, that he was doing good for somebody else. Whos with me . Im in. Im in. Im in. Im in. One, two, wait, wait. Wait wheres tina . Doing the hand thing . Yep we are all in for our customers. Ally. Do it right. Of diabetic nerve pain, these feet. We are all in for our customers. Ask your doctor about lyrica. We are back with a fox news alert. Donald trump speaking at the remembrance project National Conference honoring americans killed by Illegal Immigrants in houston. It will end if i become president. I promise you, it will end. Thank you, everybody. Thank you. I love you. I love everybody in this room, special, special people. Not one more American Life should be given up in the name of open borders. Just look at what happened in the last few days. Last week it was reported that authorities detained an illegal i am grant in the austin area who was responsible for nearly a dozen sexual assaults. And had been previously deported five times within a threeyear period. Earlier this week in kansas, a Sheriffs Department deputy was killed apparently by an illegal immigrant. The driver was previously arrested for dui in california in 2001 and for traffic violations in kansas. Deputy collins was killed only hours after his daughters fourth birthday. A few days ago, two officers in california were critically wounded after being shot by an illegal immigrant who overstayed his visa. This individual had been convicted of child rape and was slated to be deported, but his home country refused to take him back. He was simply too bad, too tough, too evil. They said we refuse to take him back. One of the victims has six children, is an air force veteran, and High School Football coach. The other victim is a mother and grandmother. When Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, the matter of this country, and think of this, think of this, the matter of this country refusing to take back their deported citizen came before Hillary Clintons desk. Often times, many times. But she failed to take forceful action and ignored federal law requiring her to suspend visas to countries that dont take back their citizens. She didnt want to get involved. Politicians. Politicians. Were going to breakaway from that event. Donald trump speaking at the remembrance project, a National Conference taking place in houston where he is on the campaign trail. Well, there is biotene, specially formulated with moisturizers and lubricants. Biotene can provide soothing relief and it helps keep your mouth healthy too. Biotene, for people who suffer from a dry mouth. Welcome back, everybody. There are growing concerns that russian president Vladimir Putin is out on a mission of revenge against the u. S. All of it tied to a wave of recent Cyber Attacks that hit National Security leaders and others who have been key targets. Joining us, lets bring in tony schaefer, retired Lieutenant Colonel and also fellow at the London Center for policy research. And also a retired intelligence operative. Welcome, sir, great to have you here today. Thank you for having me. Let me ask you this. The wave of embarrassing emails and records stole by Russian Hackers and viewed by some as payback to the u. S. Because putin believes our countrys leaders tried to weaken and shame him on the world stage. Do you believe he thinks he can actually influence the outcome, for example, of our president ial election . Well, he can influence our thinking, thats very clear. He is a thug. What you see is something thats been going on since even before the Obama White House came in. Putin and his line of thinking, trying to reinsinuate the cold war mentality of an empire. Will he influence the election . He has us talking about the fact that he has the potential to do something. I think thats all he is going for. I am not sure if he is trying to do something. With that said, this cold war between us and the russians and the technology theyre using in cyberspace has been going on longer than the American Public has been aware of. This is not new. But the way he is playing the game is a bit new by the fact he is more in our face about how he is doing. The fallout over former secretary of state Colin Powells email continues with the concerns that the hackings are reportedly tied to the d. C. Leaks group with alleged connections to russian intelligence. Right. In addition to in sight on how trump feels about mrs. Clinton. There was one talking about israel having 200 nukes pointed at iran in case of attack. Israel doesnt necessarily or normally talk publicly about nukes and it doesnt talk about nuclear program. No. What impact could this news like this have on National Security here and abroad . I think it is humorous. General powell should know better than to put that in open email. For goodness sake, thats a sensitive bit of information, i know for a fact it is very sensitive. Second, the russians are doing what the russians are going to do. Theyll be very intimidating. During the cold war, the russians only backed down when president reagan showed strength. One of the things that brought this all on, from powells hack to the dnc hack, to the other mischievous activities, theres a show of weakness from the white house. Powell, as bad as this is being leaked, it is but one part of a larger system of failure to push the russians back. What we are going to see, as long as the russians can get away with this, pay no penalty, theyll continue to do more. I expect more hacks to happen. Are you suggesting america should up the ante and be more aggressive on spying on the russians, going back to the methods and madness of the cold war . Russia only understands this. Whats ours is ours, whats yours is negotiable. Unless you take that premise, you will see them push and push and push. There are a number of things i talked about, about the fact that we need to have a much more concerted strategy to push them back against the activities of what theyre doing. Let me ask you this quickly. The ceasefire hanging by a thread. Rebel groups there stepped up the attacks and urging the u. S. To act or be responsible for its collapse, meaning desperately needed humanitarian aid we have been reporting about thats needed in aleppo isnt being delivered. What happens now . Well, the russians have in some ways rightfully accused the United States elements there, our proxies, not following through with the ceasefire. Uma, part of the problem, we aligned with socalled moderate islamists that dont exist. Theyre affiliated with al qaeda. Theyre refusing to break the link. Its a mess. We can all agree we need to find a way to form a ceasefire which allows for the innocent civilians to be resupplied and helped. With that said both sides, neither side is pristine here. I think we both have to sit down and try to figure out a way forward. The russians are calling us out i think fairly rightly on the fact that our proxy on the ground is not following the rules. Theyre still working with al qaeda. Thats something we have to deal with. Frankly, we have to find a way forward to help the people on the ground. Troubling situation. Stakes remain quite high there. Colonel schaefer, thank you for joining us. Thank you. A new poll finding the president ial candidates in a dead heat in swing states. We are going to speak to one senator supporting donald trump about how he plans to help trump pull ahead in New Hampshire. Incomes will rise and new factories will come rushing back to our shores. Once more, we will have a government of, by, and for the people. A vehicle so versatile it owns anything outdoors. Thirtytwo horsepower, a twelve hundredpound payload and over a thousand different ways to configure yours. Go gator. Its scary when the lights go out. People get anxious and my office gets flooded with calls. So many things can go wrong. Its my worst nightmare. Every second that power is out, my citys at risk. Siemens digital grid manages and reroutes power, so service can be restored within seconds. Priority number one is keeping those lights on. It takes ingenuity to defeat the monsters that live in the dark. And we are back with a fox news alert. With the president ial race 52 days away, the race is tightening in several states across the country. Donald trump and mrs. Clinton find that the gap is closing in a big way in key battleground states like New Hampshire, the latest poll shows mrs. Clinton up by one point, down 15 from a poll taken after the Democratic Convention in the summer. Mr. Trump promised voters he isnt wasting time, making sure he devotes lots of resources to battleground states. Joining us on the phone, senator jeff sessions, close adviser to donald trump on the ground in New Hampshire with more on the ground game there. Senator, welcome to the show. Thank you for joining us. Thank you. No doubt momentum has shifted. Mr. Trump had a couple of good weeks which made a difference in the polls now. Whats the ground game now in New Hampshire . They have a great effort. In fact, this is the greatest ground game theyve ever had in New Hampshire, having knocked on 50 more doors at this time than 2012. And a lot of new people, not involved in politics before are coming in and volunteering. I think it is Something Special going on here. Thats part of the momentum. The idea that somehow there wont be enough turnout ground game on election day i dont think is accurate in New Hampshire. Do you think this is the result of a more disciplined campaign . Absolutely. I do think donald trump is more disciplined. His speeches are far more detailed, laying out a case backed up by facts to justify his position and i do think people are responding well to that. He is demonstrating the kind of confidence people want. Hes got the strength and the drive and the will to be able to put this country back on the right track, but i think people are having a growing confidence that he masters the issues and can handle the challenges of the presidency. I know youve been outspoken on getting Border Security under control and cracking down on illegal immigration. I want to get to a story of accusing security report sailing we arent arresting as many illegals as we are led to believe, that numbers are being covered up to make it look like Border Agents are nabbing and deporting more people for political reasons. Your reaction . This is the kind of thing thats been going on for years. I cannot overstate how disastrous has been this administrations policy of simple law enforcement. For example, were supposed to take in about 4,000 refugees from south and Central America and we brought in 57,000 illegally last year. Unaccompanied minors. Only 2,000 of those were apprehended. Only 2,000 of them were deported. People are just coming in, being apprehended, being released on bail, theyre not showing up for the hearing, and it is a catastrophe, and the American People have a right to be concerned about it, and this administration should be punished for it politically. And Hillary Clinton is to the left of barack obama. She wants to have 65,000 Syrian Refugees enter the country next year. Thats more than president obamas increase he announced a couple days ago. This is a radical approach to immigration and this election is perhaps the last chance to fix it. I know there are calls in congress to have the report released. Senator sessions, i appreciate you joining us from the campaign trail in New Hampshire. Thank you so much. All the best to you, sir. Thank you. Now another fox news alert on a story we have been following. Authorities investigating a pipe bomb explosion before a charity race on the new jersey shore. That blew up as runners were set to participate in a 5k race benefitting marines and sailors. Brian yennis is on the scene and joins us with more. What can you tell us . Reporter this is what we know thus far. A pipe bomb like explosive device went off at 9 35 at seaside park, beach town here in new jersey. That device did explode. No one injured or hurt by this at all. We know that that device was also tied or in the same bin with two or three other pipe like bomb devices that did not go off thankfully. We know the race was put together by the marsik foundation, special operations for the marine corps, meant to benefit marine families, those injured and those who died in duty in the marine corps. We know that the race was supposed to go by the area in which the explosive device went off during the Marine Charity event. Look behind me now. What you are seeing is the scene, seaside park, new jersey. This is where the bin exploded 150 yards south. The police evacuated 60 homes in a three block radius as precaution, theyre now searching trash bins in a 1. 3 mile radius along seaside park to make sure there are no other explosive devices. Again, one explosive device went off at 9 35 in the morning. Important to note. The Police Believe this obviously was something that was meant to go off during the actual run because it was right at the corner when runners were supposed to go by. Luckily, the race was delayed and nobody was hurt. Uma . Thank you for that update from new jersey. I know youll keep tabs on that through the afternoon. Reporter no doubt. Welcome to the journal editorial report. Hillary clinton returned to the campaign trail thursday following last sundays disclosure that the democratic president ial nominee was suffering from pneumonia and with the first president ial debate a week
