i'm not going to let people take advantage of american companies. if anybody will take advantage of the american companies, it's going to be us. it's not going to be france. >> neil: just to be clear, we tax foreign companies that do business in this country. what the president finds unfair in this particular case, he says they're targeting american technology companies with a digital tax that he says is not fair and balanced and something the french don't have to pay. democratic strategists here. susan, he's saying enough is enough on this digital tax thing. he was going to take it out on french wine makers and those that produce all of that fancy cheese. where are we going with this? >> i think he's making an example of france. you have austria, italy and turkey waiting in the wings that have presented their own taxes very similar to france's. so i think what he's doing is saying enough is enough.
