paul: let's talk about biden and trump and start by saying how much trouble is president biden in for his reelection? >> biden's numbers are as low as i have ever seen for somebody trying to get reelected. no question about that. you don't have to be a rocket scientist to read those numbers. the interesting thing is normally when you are running a presidential reelection, the goal is to be president and never be a candidate. the interesting thing, his ratings for being president are around 40%. that's not working. so he went out to be a candidate and slammed trump. that got a lot of democrats energized. paul: usually the other strategy is to run on your record. it looks like his strategy is to try to make this campaign all about donald trump and remind people of things they didn't like about trump particularly his strategy of saying why trump is a threat to democracy.
