that never would've happened if mexico had good intelligence because they would not have tried to arrest that guy on that way so i think it is the intelligence components that are lacking and that is. >> dana: we offer intelligence, that is something that is quiet and i understand the president of mexico is saying we don't need america's help, a show of force would be something you would have a hard time doing politically but if it is intelligence, that is very smart. that allows a behind-the-scenes look. >> i don't think mexicans would be disturbed about u.s. help with intelligence and what is sensitive is u.s. intervention because of the long history of battling back and forth for territory and so forth. so it's got two advantages, one it would be acceptable for mexicans but it's also the only way to get at these guys. you are not going to beat them on the ground with bullets and bringing out an all-out war.
