>> well, look, i made a very simple statement that obama had returned the bust of churchill that had been lent to the united states to the bush administration in the bush years. i thought it was unobjection unobjectionable. it was not the main point. it was about the romney trip and the slights that our allies have experienced from the obama administration, over the last 3 years. and then all of a sudden, i get this furious attack on the white house web site, which is not exactly, you know, a small megaphone, saying that i was pedaling ridiculous rumors and this was 100% false, eats set raand showing what appeared to be photographic evidence of the claim that the bust had not been given back to the brittings, but had had been moved to a different part of the white house. now when i read that -- that blog post, i was amazed because this is not something -- my statement was not something new t. had been around for years. the brits had written about it in 2009 t. turned out, of course, that the white house had made a mistake. it was returned. i called the british embassy and within hours, i issued a statement that the bust that was given by the british government in 2001, was now residing in the british ambassador's residence in washington. and that the bust was shown in the picture that was -- purported to be the one that we shifted from one part of the white house to the other was actually one that will be given in the 1960s and had nothing to do at all with the issue at hand and the sculpture at hand. >> sean: listen, you know what? it's gracious of you -- which, by the way, for those of us who know you, accepting their apology. let me move on. the polls, we pay attention to them. they now begin to matter. 97 days out of an election, they are beginning to matter. >> , especially in switck states, we see the pattern, where the democrats are over sampled, 9 point, 11 points, 10 points, latest poll, new york times poll, they electric at three swing states n. forda, okay, it's a pretty big margin, 6-point margin by barack obama, but they over sample democrats 9%. if you look at ohio, they over sample democrats by 8%. if you look at pennsylvania, not say state that governor romney has to win, closer, only 6%. what extent do you think this has an impact as we look at the models that will not exist in this election year? >> if i could just say one last thing, i want to say that i do appreciate the apology from the white house. it was i think a gracious one and the case is closed. i don't want to continue that. i want to make a claim -- i appreciate what was done. and it was unexpected and something that i think the white house can actually point to as an expression of its good will. >> sean: nice to hear them not apologize for america -- but i digress. >> those are separate issues. somebody said, i am theine entit on earth, that has received an apology from the white house. but i don't want to repeat. >> sean: don't repeat that. just between us. >> now, on the pols, i think the one that is suspicious here -- i say "suspicious" -- i am not implying conspiracy, is the florida poll. the over sampling was 9 points. the important thing is not the amount of over sampling of in thees over republicans, but the comparing the over sampling to what was in the exit polls in 2008. so in the state of florida, the actual turnout was 3% more democrats than republicans. so the poll that shows 9% more, you know it's skewed and probably wrong. the other two tairkts i think the over sampling of democrats is closer to what was the result in '08. so it's the one in the florida poll that i think is a little bit misleading. now i don't think there is any deliberate attempt to mislead by the pollsters. i think it's a matter of technique and how they decide who is likely and who you include, who you exclude. but i think there is one thing have you to remember, the most important thing in knees numbers is the enthusiasm for republicans versus the democrats. it is way up, compired to '08 -- compared to '08 among republicans and significantly down for democrats compared to '08. so even though you get someone speaking on the phone, that isn't anywhere nortelling you who will show up at the polls on election day. >> sean: charles krauthammer, thanks for sharing that story. despite the left's attempt to silence free speech, the patrons of chick-fil-a proudly all over the country today showing their support for that food chain. we'll explain how the liberal attack has backfired and then shocking reports have emerged from the white house indicating the immeasurable power wielded by obama, valerie jarrett. did she have the obama raid scrapped 3 times? and she has his ear more than others? >> i think it's entirely plows plausible. and i believe that valerie jarrett doesn't simply share obama's views, she may be directing them. you may recall that three summers ago, i joined nut studio to talk about the research from culture of corruption. and the one leading figure on his team that i singled out was valerie jarrett. the self-proclaimed brain of obama. i mean, she was heralded at obama's brain from the time they were growing close and intimate together, politically and ideologically in chicago. this is the ultimate obama insider. and is tight not only with barack obama but michelle obottom aof course. and i think that what makes her particularly dangerous is that toxic combination of radical left-wing ideology, coupled with chago corruption. this is somebody whose name has come up many times in the house probes, committee members of the boondoggles in the billions that have been wasted on the crony companies and her name has been cited specifically in all of that. i think the other thing is that as you mention, she has become more and more visible as the campaign has dpn on. she joined twitter. and what was she crusading for? not only the disastrous tax hikes in a very dire economy, but also. ful. propagating all of this equal-pay myth stuff, to shell and panned tort left flank of the democratic party. >> sean: michelle, you are known as a fierce fighter, you don't back down. well, you are. little old you. >> yeah. you? >> are known as a fierce fighter. i am wondering what should romney be learning as he is experiencing these vicious attacks, the chicago way, if you will isn't president can't run on his record. that's all he has. they are attacking him -- bain capital, war on women, all of these things. if you had governor romney's ear, being the fighter that you are, what would you tell him? >> i think that in some ways, he's listening. we have talked about this in the past months about how he needs to drop the whole obama is a nice guy act. guess what? he did. there was a very encouraging report just in the last two weeks, reporting that some of his top staff have dropped that whole pretense and he needs to get tough. he needs to get tough, not only with team obama and the likes of valerie jaret and david axelrod, but also with the lap dogs in the media-- yeah! >> yes. the lap doggies, doing their best to tear this man down and to do exactly what the white house done over the last four years, which is to foist false narrative after false narrative on the american public. now that it has come to hurt and to damage and to really face obama -- face romney directly, i think he finally gets it, that the mitts have to come off. >> sean: one of the things have you done, have you chronicled the culture of corruption, the title of your number-1, best-selling book. it's done well for years. there is a new ad out, slamming the obama white house for going off site to meet with lobbyist, most transparent administration, they thought they were getting clever, they meet the lobbyists off site because he said there would be no lobbyists in his white house. they have met in a coffee shop. >> we have put in place the toughest ethics laws and rules of any administration in history. >> a lot of the members of the administration were meeting with lobbyists at caribou coffee and other places and at these places, they don't have to disclose on the white house visitor log... >> sean: what do you think of that?
