and all of these areas where you're seeing some of the orange colors probably another five or 6 inches jon. and definitely going to be isolated areas where you see more of 10 inches rain so we have a ways to go with this. jon: 10 inches of rain in mountainous areas in los angeles that's going to be -- really frightening. adam: yeah. jon: adam klotz. preparing for tropical storm hilary a live look now at oceanside california about 40 minutes north of san diego. a bit further north and east, much of california's desert and the torrential rains hilary is expected to bring there could be a huge problem. let's go back to fox weather correspondent nicole valdes live in the desert community of palm springs, california, nicole. reporter: jon that heavy rain coming down hard right now, in fact, the flash-flood warning just issued for this area officials calling it a dangerous and life-threatening situation as we are watching all of this rain really start to flood some
