it is a war they will not win. we are confronting them if you got a growing alliance of other countries that are joining us. >> mike: from everything i've read, christians are being slaughtered and churches are being destroyed all across the middle east. what's your assessment? >> well, you've had really decades now of christians fleeing, being forced out of the middle east. there was a british report recently out that said it's near of what's taking place for the christian population in the middle east. what we are trying to do now is to try and stabilize the population and to also push a number of the muslim-dominated countries to open up their religious freedom space, to be able to allow people of other practices to be able to live there, to worship their freely and to be protected. if they've got to protect their population so they are not forced to flee. >> mike: in your view how big of a day was at today the united nations? >> it was a big day. with the secretary general along with the president really
