can see the center of the storm coming very close to beaufort and atlantic and cedar point. we will see if this is technically a landfall in the next few minutes. we will keep you updated but landfall is just a technical point, the lowest pressure point comes on land. the effects are widespread from the storm up and down the north and south carolina coast up towards virginia and we are still dealing with the storm towards the area of new england this weekend. along with storm surge and outer bands bringing upwards of a foot of rainfall and hurricane force windss we've had dozens of reports of tornadoes from yesterday. this is one of the biggest hurricanes to produce this amount of tornadoes across these areas so that is a concern throughout the day today as these outer bands move on shore and we are ready have that
