the floor of the new york stock exchange in the shadow of the world trade center. she will be here to talk about that. what comes to mind? what's the moment from that tuesday 9/11 or the following monday of the next week where the exchange reopened for the first time? >> i'm really glad you mentioned the 17th when the markets reopened because it is such an important day on so many levels. but i'll tell you, when the first plane went into the first tower i was in my office at the new york stock exchange. immediately got on my feet. went outside to the corner of wall street and broadway and stood there and reported from the street corner where i was watching everything take place. i remember when the second plane went into the second tower we were in a crowd of people and people were using other people's cell phones. so much camaraderie in the street. the guy next to me remarked the world will never be the same.
