defective democrats essentially. because it is apparently the case that house leaders expect to lose as many as a half dozen votes from moderate democrats representing swing districts. or those that backed president trump in 2016. what happens when those moderate democrats come in especially after they have had time to sleep on it? this could backfire on nadler, could it not? >> it's going to backfire on the entire democrat house right now because when you have these moderate democrats from swing districts, they are caught between a rock and a hard place. if they vote for impeachment it will hurt their chances in the general election. if they vote against impeachment, it is going to suppress their turnout. not going to have the same enthusiasm as they had in 2018. hard core base voters will support a primary opponent or not show up to the polls because they don't believe in what their congressman or woman is doing. i don't see how any of them come out winners in this. >> julie: great to have you on.
