Is this something that is fairly common in the facebook world. Does this happen a lot . I think so. Ive heard from a lot of people both before i wrote the article and heard a lot from f sips the article was established about people that have similar situations where they wouldnt defriend a relative but they have troubling, you know, relationships online and it does complicate the family relationship. So what is your conclusion if youve got a troubled family relationship and theyre friends on facebook. What is your conclusion as to what you should do . I think you have to first of all maybe think about who you want to have as facebook friends, and then having sol of the family on facebook which is fine and does have some advantages. You really have to think how am i presenting myself and what am i sharing in materials . Some overshare. They dont think about, you know, do i have a Family Member that might be offended by this or social role when you interact with grandmother in real liefl you wouldnt share same things that you would with your best friends or people at work. Be careful in term was what you share. I dont know if this was in the article or not. But may i ask what did you share that you wished you had not shared . Im very careful. I dont think theres anything that ive overshared. I think the reason that one Family Member unfriended me because of an offensive post i got from her trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and say i said something that you know, yipght think that was proarpght to post.
