The president could wait until arpaio appeals. He vowed to appeal. Well wait and see. I did speak to arpaio yesterday to get his reaction about a potential pardon. I told him what the president said about it. And arpaio said, i would never ask the president for a pardon. And he was tale surprised that the president knew about his legal predictment. I said, president s well aware of it. He brought the subject up. And then he said but i would accept a part done because i am 100 not guilty. He feels he was railroaded by the Obama Justice department, a federal judge found him, criminal misdemeanor, criminal contempt, the max is 6 months behind bar. Arpaio 85. Never been in trouble with the law. He only had two parking tickets. He would not end up behind bars for this. Trish would you begrudge a pyro the pardon. He is a criminal. For years trying to lock up immigrants looked illegal. If i was in there i would have been arrested. He is racist. Im actually not surprised. Im not surprised President Trump would even think about pardoning sheriff arpaio. Trish this is narrative spouting earlier. He should face the consequences for break the law. Trish you know, i dont know if you caught earlier part of the show, gregg, jose was making the point, this sort of gets us back to charlottesville, back to the criticism of this president and jose was there saying look, he should have said something earlier about those riots there. Not a word uttered by president clinton back then, 1997. Media didnt go after clinton for that. So this morning i had our brain room, our Research Department go through the history of over the course of last 30 years, dating all the way back to 1980. All of the other violent similar clashes like this. And they couldnt fiberoptic any evidence that president s at the time made similar, specific denunciations or any denunciations at all. When you just look at face value at some of his commentary, coming out not having seen it in real time i thought, at least the president is doing the right thing, denouncing.
