Terrified, luis began to play. And the entire room was stunned by what they heard. Ringing out from the trembling boys violin was a tune they all recognized. This young cuban boy was playing the starspangled banner. [cheers and applause] [applause] luis played the American National anthem all the way through and when he finished,. When we say america stands freedom to the world, a symbol of freedom and a freedom of hope, that is what luis meant and that is what luis displayed that day. It was a big day. It was a great day and that is what we will all remain. That was a very important moment just like this is now for cuba, a very important moment. [cheers and applause] america will always stand for liberty and america will always pray and cheer for the freedom of the cuban people now that little boy whose story i just told you who played violin so beautifully, is here with us today in our very, very packed and extremely warm auditory. Of course, hes no longer a little boy but a known renown have violinist and fill the hearts of all who love and cherish cuba, the United States and freedom. [cheers and applause] i would like now to invite luis to the stage. Luis. [cheers and applause] [cheers and applause] thank you, luis. I just said, where were you more nervous today or then and he said, honestly, i think today. Thank you, luis. That was beautiful. So i want that thank miami. I want to thank little havana. Havana, do we love it . Would you move anywhere else . You wouldnt move to palm beach . No. Little havana. And i want to thank all of our great friends, youve been amazing loyal, beautiful people. Thank you. Actually i was telling mike, so it was two days on my birthday till a big day which turned out to be tomorrow, the 16th, that was the they i came down with melania on the escalator in trump tower. [cheers and applause] so its exactly tomorrow two years since we announced. And it worked out okay. Worked out okay. Its a great honor believe me. Its a great honor, right . Happy birthday to you [cheers and applause] thank you, thank you very much. I want to end by saying my god bless everyone searching for freedom, may god bless cuba, may god bless the United States of america and god bless you all. Thank you, now im going to sign. Thank you. [cheers and applause] trish all right, youve been listening to President Trump there in miami. Big day, he says hes rolling back some of the loosening of regulations that president obama enacted. This is the new cuba policy under donald trump and he is signing it into action right now. Lets continue to watch and listen in and see if he has any new commentary. The policy of the United States toward cuba and i can add strengthening a lot. [laughter] so this is very important and you watch whats going to happen. Its going to be a great day for cuba. Thank you, thank you very much. [cheers and applause] trish there you have it. Im trish regan. We have with us capri and ned and Tracee Carrasco who is there in miami with the very latest. Tracee you have to break this down for us because we have been talking about theres a little confusion here. Donald trump on the one hand is saying hes going to loosen or rather strengthen the regulation, if you would, with cuba in that not as Many Americans are going to be able to travel there, not as many businesses are going to be able to do business there specially if theyre doing it with the military in any way. But simultaneously we are also reading that the travel cruise ship industry is going to be just fine because they will keep their port. Whats really going on . Tracee well, you know a free cuba, thats his main message here today but he did say Effective Immediately i am canceling last administrations onesided deal with cuba. A much better deal for the American People and for cuba. He layed out his bullet points on how hes going to achieve that. He said hes going to enhance compliance with United States law, that means for travelers and in particular the provision that is govern the embargo of cuba and ban on tourism. Hes going to hold a cuban regime accountable for oppression and human right abuses ignored under the obama policy. He says hes going to further the National Security and Foreign Policy interest of the United States and those of the cuban people and hes going to lay the ground work for empowering the cuban people to develop a greater economic and political liberty. Now he said as far as travel goes, hes going to really enforce those rules that were set to keep americans going there. One of the things as far as the military, he wants to make sure that money can you not go to military. Hes also saying that with the travel, hes not canceling any of the commercial flights or cruises but youre not going to be able to go just as a normal tourist. Youre going to have to go with a group or as strict as that statutory ban. So while Airline Carriers are adjusting, they are either adding more flights to havana, canceling the flights from the smaller cities, we are really going to have to take a look at businesses already over there. A lot of people say its going to hurt them but as far as the treasury and commerce department, now, they are going to begin this process of issuing new regulations within 30 days, policy changes. Its not going to take effect until the departments have finalized the regulations and could take several months but, you know, these sanctions, the sanctions, all of these things, theyre not going to be released trump said until all Political Prisoners are released. That was one thing he really hammered home in this speech and, trish, we are still breaking all of this down and trish all right, tracee, thank you very much, i just call them like i see them and sounds to me like you want to have your cake and eat it too. On the one hand youre saying, we are going to restrict travel for americans on the other hand, no, we are not going to touch the commercial flights, we will let the cruise industry. Let me point this, the administrations intent is not to disrupt existing transactions that have already occurred. Youre lucky enough as a business to have gotten a deal in cuba, they will let that stand but nobody else can do new ones . Isnt that effectively disprotecting the existing deals . Is this an example of the administration trying to take some victory lap and not actually invoking any meaningful change . Joining me right now American University executive and residence capri along with ned ryan, ned, im going to you first on this one because as i said, i call them like i see them and this one this feels kind of thin to me. It feels a little thin. I know what the hope is, i know what the hope is to say that we are not going to have onesided agreements anymore. The castros have been benefiting from the obama administrations policies towards them. They have been able to have good trade agreements, theyve been able to have all of the investment and still punish political opponents and trump is finally saying, enough is enough. My concern is that youre right, it only goes maybe a third of the way when it could have gone all the way. Obviously, clearly the Cuban Community is thrilled that somebody is saying enough is enough. They are talking about travel and will continue until the new deals trish thats a very good point. Im sure thats probably true. When deals dont make sense, when something doesnt make sense on face value, start asking who really has good lobbyists in dc . What about draining the swamp . Trish yeah. I agree with you, trish. I obviously understand that nobody wants to do business with the castro regime. Thats obvious, but i agree, it really doesnt we dont know what this is actually going to achieve for the Economic Impact for the cuban people or frankly for these u. S. Businesses. As you rightly pointed out, it seems like a protection clause and creating monopoly for businesses that are already there. Trish hence the lobbyists. In opposition trish i get it. This is an open market and we should be doing now we can make a decision to say we dont want to be in business with cuba and cut it off or we make the decision to be, but this thing, have your cake and eat it too. They want the cuban people to actually benefit from any economic advances whereas the castro regime has been benefiting at the same time i dont think this went frankly, you know, we cut them off from world for decades and decades and decades and didnt stop them, you know, from being a dictorial regime. Trish i want to point out that we are restricting travel, you can only go to cuba as an american if youre with a group. With Academic Group or tour group which once again the Tourism Industry has i think the positive the deal should take away is, at least this administration is saying we are not going to just let cuba do whatever it wants. We are at least going to start changing policy and how we approach it. Again, i would agree with both of you. I dont think this went nearly far enough. Im not sure how much teeth it actually has in it. Trish you have marco rubio on your side. Certainly politically motivated for domestic policy as well. The cubanamerican community not good political move. Trish i will see you, guys, in a bit. President trump going on the attack on twitter fighting back against latest developments against russia investigation. He tweeted about investigations and Committee Hearings about my collusion with the russians n quotations, no one has been able to show any proof, sad. And i am being investigated for firing the fbi director by the man who told me to fire the fbi director. Witch hunt referring to deputy ag rod rosenstein, now his comments follow revelations that special Counsel Robert Mueller is looking into whether or not donald trump obstructed justice. President trump attacking the Fake News Media as well as crooked hillary. Shes making a comeback, tweeting, quote, she destroyed phones with a hammer, bleached emails and had husband meet with ag days before she was cleared and then talk about obstruction, you have a point there. Joining me right now on the show is historian and former adviser the two u. S. President s, doug weeds, good to see you and have you back. Hi, trish. Trish you know, look, as seems as though they are digging and digging and digging and im going to ask you why. What is it that they really think is there when weve heard already from james comey that the president wasnt under investigation . Yeah, its political. You know, i was in the green room last night here at fox and visiting with jay and very confident theres no legal problem for the president at all. Thats true, but the problem is its not about violating the law, its about politics and, you know, henry david said its not what you look at but what you see. They turn a political person like mueller who got his position because comey got fired, comey himself said he triggered it with a leak because he was mad, now you have mueller and hires reed who was legal representative for the Clinton Foundation who gave 5,400 to Hillary Clinton president ial campaign. Shes going to investigate trump. No wonder hes surrounded Andrew Mccabe who is now running the fbi is a democrat whose wife got 700,000 in Campaign Donations and who investigated hillary and found her innocent. As you pointed out he pointed out in tweet, the man who told him to fire comey is now investigating him. Trish youre saying theres a lot of people in the government itself that dont want donald trump in the white house and so theyre willing to just dig and dig and dig even if theres nothing really to dig to dig for, they want to find something and the thing is that walk us through the danger of this in that once you start one of these investigations, you run the risk, at least donald trump administrations that someone along the way, someone tripped up doing something that it may not have anything to do with the original thing they were investigating and is that the fear . Thats exactly right. We talked about this earlier. From the middle ages the king would say who owns that property next to the river there, i would like that, all the regan family and they bring your family in and torture you and you give up your secrets and your prosecuted and they take their land. Thats why the fifth amendment, i refuse to answer in the grounds that it might incriminate me because anybody if they zero in on you, anybody they can find something. The president s attorneys are saying, you havent done anything wrong, youre fine. Im saying, hey, this isnt about law, this is about politics and they can find something if theyve got the National Media behind them, theyve got some wall street firms behind them and they can find something. Its a dangerous the president is isolated right now in my opinion. Trish is there anything you would advise him to do. Its a swamp and i want to drain it but i have to play this little game in some ways along the way and im no fan of the cuba policy, you saw that just now, i think he could have gone a lot further or not done anything at all. Is that an example of trying to play the game . In other words, theres people with vested interest and a lot of money at stake in washington. Lobbyists working over time and do you think if he had gone in and been perhaps subtle and been willing to play ball with some of these folks that it would be a less hostile environment for him, doug . I dont think so. You make a good point. Best strategy is to hold the democrats and hes doing that with the tweets, to hold them to the standard they are trying to impose on him. If he can investigate them for the crimes theyve committed, maybe theyll stop investigating him for the crimes he didnt commit and thats why trish you have to give them credit, right, initially he said im not going to go down that path with Hillary Clinton, once he won, we dont need to do that. You turn yourself into a Banana Republic with whoever is new coming in basically sends the old one to jail. Well, now we do run that risk, do we not, if we are out there looking for things that dont im all about finding the truth here and if something bad happened, we need to know about it, but thus far there hasnt been a lot of evidence to think that donald trump was colluding with the russians . Youre absolutely right. You know france went through a period like this where one party would get in power, they would arrest all the judges and throw them in jail, they would arrest executives of the television networks, the media people and throw them in jail on one charge or another. Then the next party would get in and they would reverse it. Let them all out of jail and throw the other side into jail. It was crippling to french society. The problem for us in america, weve entered what i describe a post constitutional era where the constitution we were told is a breezing document thats flexible. Well, the construction is not abstract art, its law. When you say the constitution is flexible, youre saying the law is flexible and that allows sanctuary cities and allow people to break the law and allows you to be creative and prosecuting people you dont like. Trish scary time. Scary time. Trish thank you so much. Good to have you here. Thank you, trish. Trish shares of whole foods are soaring today after amazon is going out buying grocery chain in a big deal. Nearly 14 billiondollar deal. Amazon announcing its going to acquire whole foods for 13. 7 billion. This deal instantly makes amazon a force in the Market Industry and Food Retailers they are all plunging on the news. Theres going to be stiff competition out there. Joining me bulzeye founder along with Nicole Petallides from the floor of the new york stock exchange. Nicole, tell us whats going on with some of the grocery stocks right now, how bad are they getting hit . Nicole thats right. Now its the grociers and food producers, amazon and whole foods with up arrows. 27 premium. Both of those are doing great and hitting high but whats not hitting high is name like super value and kroger, in fact, they are hitting lows and the lowest level for kroger and the concerns are not only for the Grocery Stores but also for packaged foods such as general mills, you name it, trish, because the concern here is that whole foods and amazon will have the margins and all the other producers wont have the margins and in fact, might lose on profitability because of this situation. Trish its really interesting. Adam johnson is here with investing inside for you all and one of the ideas he had was to go out and score cosco. I got all my briefs and now theyre making money on it. Cosco is about going into a store, right, its not about ecommerce and delivery, thats why it was short whereas this deal is about bringing clicks and bricks, its very powerful. Amazon is redefining the whole reason that retail actually has a path forward. Trish one of the interesting things john mackey ceo of whole foods, interesting character himself, he did not want to sell. In fact, just yesterday he was quoted talking about the private equity group that invested heavily, referred to them as, quote, greedy bastards, if i can say that on air. [laughter] trish but anyway, he didnt like them. That was yesterday. Today he sold and hes staying on his ceo. Do you anticipate adam johnson that there will be forthcoming Management Changes . This is a bitter pill to swallow. I dont think its that bitter. This is his lifes worth. Whole foods is his whole mission. He we wanted to bring healthy food to america and amazon gives him the scale to do that. If anything, hes excited. Trish amazing what 24 hours can do. Nicole jeff bezos came out with a statement talking about the fact how much he loves the platform of whole foods and continue the way he is, mackey stays as ceo. I saw an article thats fairly new that were criticizing him. They might get rid of cfo that came on board not too long ago and he might walk away with 4 million. Trish they are very smart and they saw what adam was seeing in that you have an opportunity and major scale and whole foods, to be able to get everything delivered to you i dont know about you guys nicole welloff areas, places where people want to pay the premium, pay for delivery, they can use amazon products to swipe their groceries, have things delivered. It is the age of convenes and technology and amazon knows it. Trish you need to have the quality with it, adam. With Amazon Grocery service, can you really be assured that the fruits are as fresh as you want or meat organic as people in some communities really want them to be and this is the opportunity. Its actually a brilliant move because whole foods have carved tout niche, you walk in you know youre getting the best for the best and youre going to pay for it. Theres am a culture clash there where amazon is about value. I also want to know if my 100 prime account gives me free delivery for groceries. I doubt it but this is a powerful combo. Trish all right, nicole, adam, amazon is taking over the world. Thank you so much, guys. Prices have come up a little bit today because it had been not so good there at least of yesterday. Oil hoovering near lowest level at nearly 44 a barrel. Jeff flock is live in the cme with the latest. Walk us through the thinking on oil, jeff . Jeff could have been worse, trish. Today we gained about 50 cents during the session and gave most of it back, you know. We had a little gain. It didnt help that Baker Hughes Rig count that was up today so more rigs continue to come online in the u. S. , up six rigs in most of all of that in oil and not gas rigs, although the total oil and gas together is up six. Most of those were oil rigs. Theres a lot of oil out there and continues to drive gas down and that has to be good, what are now at 2. 41 National Average and South Carolina has been the first state to go under 2. We may have more states under 2 before we finish out the summer out which is crazy, usually stocks are going up right now. They tell us that shell producers cannot make money much below 40. That where we are right now. If you get much lower, you get guys offline and going out of business and thats not what we want. Trish we have seen the struggle play out for sure. Jeff back and forth. Trish keep everybody working and everyone employed and the industry along but if they shut down, prices go up. Jeff flock, thank you so much. Jeff thats the markets. Trish indeed. Someone in nasht are calling for unity in the wake of the shooting at the republican congressional baseball practice this week, but the New York Times, its pointing fingers, liberal paper linked to the shooting of congresswoman Gabby Giffords in 2011 and linked it to sarah palin and this is something that has landed them in a bit of trouble, i can tell you that earlier to quote target districts they said basically sarah palin was involved in this. The paper was forced to issue a correction and they wrote and i quote an editorial version incorrectly state that had political incitement in shooting of gabby gifford, in fact no such link was established. Why did they report it . Now sarah palin is reportedly considering suing the newspaper, joining me the host of fox news mediabuzz howie kurtz. This seems like allow one even for the New York Times. Howie this was factually wrong. Most of it was tonedeaf at the time when voices on all sides are saying, maybe we should low ter rhetoric a little bit and when some on the conservative side are trying to blame the shooting of steve scalia and others at the republican baseball practice on trump hater and didnt like republicans and Bernie Sanders volunteer, its almost as if the times need to say, wait a minute, six years ago Gabby Giffords was shot and sarah palin was involved which was ludicrous at the time and even more ludicrous in retrospect. Trish youre right and i saw that in news cycle and we had a lib commentator on the show who really wanted to point fingers at the right and say that, you know, the right has incited all of the violence. I would like at it and say, objectively, everybody can do a little better here. We all need in the spirit of unity to Work Together to make sure that this rhetoric doesnt get out of hand. It has. Theres certainly desensization right now. Im not saying that the right is necessarily free of any guilt either. Howie i have seen both sides exploit tragedies. The guy that brought rifles hated republicans. In the case of sarah palin, it was her committee that made up a map, standard political thing, 20 districts one of those was Gabby Giffords. Maybe not the best thing to do and theres no way that jerry killed six people in addition to wounding Gabby Giffords. He was mentally ill. The times to drag this out six years later i thought was a really low moment. Trish agreed. Howie kurtz, thank you very much. Howie great to see you. Trish make you you watch mediabuzz every sunday on Fox News Channel and thats where youll see howie. President trump calling for unity. But can we really unit, can the country unite . A truck flying a make America Great flag was shot at and the reality is, and again, im not saying that there isnt enough blame to go around here but the reality is this kind of behavior, this intimidation, if you will, this is why nobody could figure out what the polls were saying because people were afraid to say that they were for donald trump. This all needs to has to stop and we are on it for you in the case. By mak count. Thats why i have the spark cash card from capital one. With it, i earn unlimited 2 cash back on all of my purchasing. While he remains in critical condition, his colleagues, they took to the field last night playing the annual charity game in his honor. After the democrats won the game, they gave their trophy to the other team to give to scalise in his hospital room, but is it really going to last . Dont we need more unity, dont we need to see both sides working together. Theres already signs that, you know, this is starting to falter, shots were fired yesterday. In indiana a starbucks customer was reportedly harassed for wearing a trump tshirt. Capri and ned ryan are back with me and i will start with you capri, its almost as though you can be shamed. Youre on the left. You were not a trump supporter although you are i know you like some of his policies that hes put forth. Have we gotten to a really bad place as a country yeah. Trish you cant say i support trump or wear a make America Great hat because youre going to get harassed . Polarization in this country is an alltime pitch, theres no question about it and to me, i see both sides of the aisle, both of the spectrum approaching disagreement with, you know, with anger, with a lack of civility which is not good for the United States. I will give you some examples. You guys showed examples of what happened with folks, with trump paraphernalia. I can tell you as a sitting democratic senator, i personally had death threats, i personally me and my staff were actually given verbal, you know, harassment and threats of violence, so i mean, this is this is across the country, t both sides and in 2016 in my former state Senate District there were 20 Hillary Clinton signs that were shot up by people with a gun. Unacceptable. Trish maybe because i live in new york city, but it seems to me that you can be at least new york city steaming as though you are protrump in anyway. People really and i do think that one of the reasons polling was off because people were afraid to say it, ned. And i think its a really bad place that we are in as a country if you cant express your political thoughts for fear. Freedom of thought. I think youre in a time period which is not a good one obviously and i do disagree with you but i can do in a respectful way. I think that everything thats taken place thats frustrating me a little bit, people think we are going to hug this out and move on. No, we are not because until the left and the Mainstream Media actually take responsibility for their violent rhetoric, im not ready to move on. Im actually ready to say, hey, when i hear them apologizing, when i hear professors to be lined up and shot trish this happened. For trump to be hung. Im not ready to move on until they actually apologize. The thing that troubles me about all of this is the fact that you do see sometimes on the right some people saying irresponsible things. Folks, here in america this is not how we act. We are better than in because we have a tradition in america, we have peaceful transfer of power. We have elections where we have disagreements trish doesnt feel like we have that right now, though. You said something very interesting and i was talking to doug about this, historian, we run the risk, i feel like, capri and turning ourselves into some kind of Banana Republic to drag out whatever administration yeah. Trish the government in place doesnt want. Right. Trish donald trump did the right thing by not going after Hillary Clinton. Thats hes still tweeting about it. Maybe because his back is against the wall because you have people in the administration well, listen, i mean, i think as my grandma would say two wrongs dont make a right. Theres questionable conduct on behalf of Hillary Clinton, yeah, water under the bridge so to speak. We are still stirring the pot on the donald trump side of things obviously with the special counsel and Everything Else and in the meantime nothing is getting done. Nothing is getting done. If people can act badly and not have consequences for it and all of a sudden trump is being held to a different standard, some of us think theres hypocrisy. I get it. About the whole dialogue, peaceful transfer of power, responsible mature adults will have differences at ballot box and elections have consequences and accept the results and if we lose, next time we will try to win. Trish capri, you have done that. Thats right. At tend of the day i was in the minority for a significant portion of my career and you have to find a way to get past your differences to do the best for the American People. Trish here, here, thank you so much. Good to have you here. Thank you. Trish coming up at the top of the hour, there will be News Conference with the condition of scalise. The last thing we heard he was going to be in the hospital for some time so we will get update shortly and we will bring that up to you. Bombshell report if true could deliver a major blow to isis. Gov trish all right, russian is claiming it has killed the most wanted man in the world isis leader Abu Bakr Albaghdadi. Albaghdadi has not been seen in public since he declared as leader of isis. U. S. Military is work to go confirm death. If true this would be a significant blow to isis. This would be good news. Colonel, what do you think . Do you think that the russians got him . If i had to bet today i would say no. But i hope they did. If this guy Abu Bakr Albaghdadi selfproclaimed, he want him dead. [laughter] hes a very dangerous man. Trish i will interject. Youre not a fan of Vladimir Putin, you want this guy dead. Youll be happy to see Vladimir Putin take him out. You know, i will send Vladimir Putin flowers if he kills Abu Bakr Albaghdadi. I hope they are right about this. Trish what makes you doubt it . The russians are claiming that they not only killed baghdadi, senior leaders, 300 body guards, thats not the way albaghdadi operates. He hasnt been seen since he declared the caliphate and for them to create a target with all their leadership in one place, thats very hard to believe. Now, the other problem as far as i can tell, the United States intel communithat picd up anything. Usually the russians have this happen in may 28, usually we catch chatter, you hear people chatting about it and weve had nothing. So trish why would they make this up . The russians can be doing it for several reasons. The primary is they have not been fighting isis. They have been fighting our guys and fighting our antiassad Freedom Fighters and they might be trying to show theyre more in the fight against isis than the americans. Theres a real drama playing out in quiet area in southern syria where the iranians are trying to prevent our allies from moving forward and closing the iraqi border because the iranians want a super highway from tehran across iraq across syria and lebanon sea. Trish russians want to look like they are the tough guys and able to take out the leader of isis but doesnt do them a whole lot of good if the leader of isis suddenly pops up somewhere and they are looking like they didnt get that one right. Yeah, its possible that they are exaggerating. So my advice would be this, wait for proof. In the meantime, we have to conduct our operations as albaghdadi is still out there. Trish colonel, thank you so much. We are going to take a quick break. We have a market thats up 11. I will see you right back afters i use whats already inside me to reach my goals.
