Take them one at a time. Im not aware of the conversation. Im sure, you heard the president last couple weeks talk about the price of recall pharmaceutical drugs and need to get those prices down and bring manufacturing back in the pharmaceutical industry to benefit the country. So it is an issue he will continue to work on. He understands as we Reform Health care, as we repeal and replace obamacare, getting ahold of the cost of prescription drugs to give more people access to them but also to allow greater access and greater plans in health care, that is going to be a key part of it. That is going to happen. Youre seeing with respect to the other meetings, day one, working day one here, he is going to start with the leadership. He will have a great conversation with them but then i think you will see a variety of meetings, congressional black caucus, hispanic caucus. He is someone enjoys that kind of conversation. I think you will see a lot of meetings occur, like ones that he did today. Business leaders coming in. Union workers. It is interesting, i, president was asking these folks today how many have been in the oval office . Three of them raised their hand. We talked to some of these union leaders, we didnt get a lot of attention. Here we are on working day one, youve got the president reaching out to some of americas best Business Leaders and then some of the Union Workers and line workers, bringing them in saying i want to listen what is going on in your life. What can we be doing to help you . I think you will see a lot more of that, a listening president who is engaged trying to figure out what policies and actions that he can take that this government can take, that he can work with congress, to make peoples lives better, to make their security better, to make their Economic Security better. You will see a lot of that who is who he is. That is what he did during the transition. I think that is what he will do Going Forward. He appreciates ideas and opinions come through the oval office and small groups where he gets to share their perspective and their ideas and opinions. That is what he will continue to later this afternoon. Im sorry, april. Im sorry. I want to go back to what the gentleman said about the mandate, when you approached him. He said something about the obamacare mandate. With the numbers that you talked about and been in the news from Inauguration Day and numbers saturday, do you believe that you have the mandate to be able to force through what you talked about replacing, portions of obamacare that really subsidize a whole piece of it to help low income People Health care . Well i think what we have is a mandate to make health care more accessible and lower cost. That is what the American People were promised under obama care. Not a question about a mandate and also not about forcing anything. It is about what is doing the right thing. Providing people what they have been promised, you go around this country and look market after market theyre down to one plan. That is not what the American People were promised. Not only that many cases rates are going up, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50 . That is not what they were promised either. What the president is doing, and it the not just i think he has gotten bipartisan support on this, work with congress to take action where necessary and provide a Health Care System with more people in health care, truly allows them to keep doctor and plans theyre signing up for, lowers cost, creates more competition. Do i think he has a mandate . Sure. Its not about, not on this issue. I think all leaders have a mandate from the American People to fix the system and make it better. Julie page. I have two [inaudible]. There is discrepancy between what the russians are saying and what the pentagon is saying about potential joint action. Can you clarify that . Generally is the president open to joint action in syria with the russians . On that instance i would still developing and refer you back to the department of defense. I know theyre currently monitoring this and i would refer you back to them on that. Generally . The president has been very clear he will work with any country that shares our interests in defeating isis not just on the National Security front but on the economic front. If we work with someone to create greater Market Access and spur Economic Growth and allow u. S. Small businesses and companies doing joint military action in russia and syria . If there is a way we can combat isis with russia or anyone else and we have shared national interest, sure well take it. Second when he was at cia on saturday talking about the u. S. Not taking oil during the iraq war. Said there could be another chance for that . What did he mean about tt . President has been very clear in Foreign Policy United States is going in with a lot of money and manpower, many many cases losing both loss of life and we want to take sure our interests are protected. If were going into a country for a cause we want to make sure america is getting something out of it for the commitment or action were taking. Was he foreshadowing other actions . He is clear throughout the campaign he is committed to making sure, American People, american taxpayer see some benefit and insure our interests overseas are not just sending blank checks. That were doing something to either protects america or is in our economic interest. John robert. Couple of things if i could. Later this week his executive actions does the president plan to take action to green light the keystone xl and Dakota Access pipelines . , and on a tpp said it was serious mistake for president to do what the president did for the americas strategic economy and asiapacific. Why was tpp the right thing to do . Why why was right thing to do to tpp, to repeal isnt. I think i said it. When you enter into the multinational agreements youre allowing any country, no matter the size, any one of those 12, including us to have the same stature as the United States in the agreement. Were basically on par with some very small countries. Were get access to amazing market in the United States and in return were negotiating to the lowest common denominator. When you look at big multinational and multilateral agreements theyre not always necessarily the best for the United States. Any two Party Agreements decides anytime they want to get out of the agreement or not being treated fairly, they can renegotiate it much easier n multinational agreement that is not the case. Many many cases countries have to agree to action and let somebody out. That is not put u. S. First. Keystone and Dakota Access . I will not get in front of the president s executive tion areas like today can coat at that and keystone, that is something he has been very clear b he talked about it not only on the campaign, around thanksgiving period he talked about that being a big priority. That is one of those ones where i think the Energy Sector and our Natural Resources are an area where i think the president is very, very keen making sure that we maximize our use of National Resources to maximizes america benefit. It is good for growth, jobs and americas energy. Jonathan karl. Thank you for being here at first briefing good to see you. Thank you. Before i get to policy question, i ask you about the nature of your job. Is it your intention to tell the truth from that podium and will you pledge never to knowingly Say Something that is not factual. It is. It is an honor to do this. And, yes, i believe that we have to be honest with the American People. I think sometimes we can disagree with the facts. There are certain things we may not fully understand when we come out but our intention is never to lie to you, jonathan. Our job is to make sure sometimes, youre in the same boat. I mean there are times when you guys tweet something out or write a story and you publish a correction. That doesnt mean that you were intentionally trying to deceive readers and American People, does it . We should be afford the same opportunity. There are times when we believe something to be true or we get something from an agency or we act in haste because the Information Available wasnt complete but our desire to communicate with the American People to make sure you have the most complete story at the time and so we do it but again, i think when you look netnet, we are going to do our best every time we can. I will come out here and tell you the facts as i know them. If we make a mistake i will do our best to correct it. But i think, as i mentioned the other day its a twoway street. There are many mistakes the media makes all the time. They misreport something, dont report something, get a fact wrong. I dont think to turn around say you are intentionally lying. I think we all go, try to do our best job and do it with a degree of integrity in our respective industries. Do you have any corrections that you would like to make or clarifications . Sure. Ask away, jonathan. Im for instance, i dont want to relitigate the whole issue, take one like issue of metro ridership we did, at the time information i was provided by inaugural committee came from an outside agency that we reported on. And i think, knowing what we know now that the numbers are different but we were trying to provide numbers we had been provided. Wasnt like we made them up out of thin air. Do you stand about the statement was most watched inaugural . Sure. It was the most watched inaugural, when you look at look at just one Network Alone got 16. 9 Million People online. Another couple of networks, tens of millions of people watched that online. Never mind the audience that was here. 31 Million People watched it on television. Combine that with tens of millions of people watched it online on a device, it is unquestionable. And i dont see any numbers that dispute. When you add up attendance, viewership, total audience in terms of tablets phones, on television, id love to see any information that proves that otherwise. And in, do you dispute that . I dont want to get into numbers. Well, i do. Im just saying if youre asking me a question about my integrity i i have a right to say if you add up the Network Streaming numbers, facebook, youtube, all of the various Live Streaming that we have information on so far i dont think there is any question that it was the largestwatched inauguration ever. More than Ronald Reagans in 1981 . Im pretty sure reagan didnt have youtube, facebook or internet. 41 Million People watched his. 41 million watched his, okay. So lets just take nielsen ratings at 31 million and add it to cnn, 16. 9 million. That is a little higher. So im just saying, youre asking me for numbers. There are just two entities together. Approach that you took on saturday, any second thoughts on that . Jonathan, look, i want this huh . I came out to read a statement. I did it. Were here today i will stay as long as you want. [laughter] i think you guys might want to leave before i do. Look, i want to make sure we have healthy relationship. We saw the other day, im not trying to rehash history but youre asking the question so im going to answer it. We had a tweet go out about Martin Luther king. Think about how raciallycharged that is . And someone rushes out and says to the entire press corps, that the president of the United States has removed the bust from his office. Think about what this hold on he apologized. He apprised my colleagues. That is exact quote. That quote, that report got tweeted out around, and to report, whe was the apology of the president of the United States . Where was the apology to the millions of people who read that and thought, how racially insensitive that was . Where was that apology . You accepted his apology though, sean . Okay. Im asking where was that apology . Im just saying that when things like that happen, when john lewis says, hehas never missed an inauguration, and we find out, actually he did, he skipped george w. Bushs, that there are points at which we have right to make sure we correct the record. Youre talking about integrity and youre talking about telling the truth and facts. I dont know that it wasnt malicious at all. Im not saying there is at point which we have a right to go out there and correct the record. I think that over and over and over again there is this attempt to go after this president say, well that cant be true and thats not right and numbers werent there and there was rush to judgment every time. And its a twoway street. We want a healthy and open dialogue with the press corps and American People about what he is doing to help this country and unite it, but at a time when he is trying to unite us and talks about uniting this nation, bringing people together and a tweet goes out in pool report to what a few thousand people saying he removed the bust of Martin Luther king, how do you think that goes over . Sean, does media invent the feud between the president and Intelligence Community . Look, im not, you saw from the response the other day, he walked into the cia, people were hooting and hollering. They gave him a fiveminute standing ovation. That doesnt look like relationship, they were excited this is media invention. There is difference having differences with Intelligence Leaders and leaders of that community who have strong differences with, then the people and men and women who toil every single day in our Intelligence Community. And it was reflected at cia. I mean at the came there, they were so excited. There was 1000 people that applied for 300 plus seats. We ended up taking in 400 people. That doesnt sound like a huge feud. They were excited, they were clapping, they were cheering when he walked in. Seeing reports there was fencemending that needed to happened. Sure didnt look that way when he walked in. I will move on. Sean, can i ask what is the u. S. Strategic interest in moving the u. S. Embassy from tel aviv to jerusalem . I would also, in the chat with president elsisi today, was the status of the Muslim Brotherhood discussed . I think readout i, just gave you the readout on the call with president assisi, that speaks for itself, what was discussed. What is the first part . What is the u. S. Strategic interest in moving embassy as i noted yesterday with several press inquiries. There is no decision been made. Were in early stages of that decisionmaking process. Will there be detailed discussion when Prime Minister may comes on friday on potential parameters what a strayed deal might look like . Will there be a joint News Conference . Will the donald trump give a statement in fact to the uk later in the year . Were here on working day one. Were excited Prime Minister may is coming on friday. Well look forward to it. Im sure there will be discussion of trade will come up. Degree of which i dont know yet. Im sure we will have the opportunity to brief you out. Dont believe we have any plans for a joint press conference. That is something our team will work out with Prime Minister may and well keep you updated on that. Yeah . After executive order withdrawing the u. S. From the tpp, what specific steps will President Trump take to expand u. S. Trade opportunities abroad . Well again, i think when he talks to Prime Minister may, he will have a great conversation about the potential for greater trade with the uk. I mentioned earlier when he met with these manufacturers this morning, that was, you know right up there at the top of that list. How can we get greater Market Access . What are the specific challenges that these mr. Ers are facing getting manufacturers are facing getting Market Access from countries around the globe. Not just other countries but within existing trade deals we can figure out, is there a trade dispute can be settled with wto . Is there revision to one of the existing trade options treaties we have now. There is a lot can be timed, Things Congress can update to make sure that were importing and exporting more to benefit american businesses. [inaudible] . Thanks. Thanks. [inaudible]. Has the president or will the president have a chat, even a informal chat with the Prime Minister before in fact she comes here . There are no plans for that now. It is always possible. He has been having a tremendous number of calls. I thinnumber is well over 80 now of people that have talked to him, congratulated him prior to being elected. We read out the other day met with canada and mexico. He talked with Prime Minister netanyahu yesterday, president elsissi today. There are number of world leaders. There is a excitement in the diplomatic corps and world leader level, people are excited President Trump and this Administration Want to engage. There is a lot of times talking to these folks, saying i have not heard from anyone in years. I think there is a genuine commitment to reengage the United States in especially the trade and economic interests and areas of National Security. Big one and first . Sorry . Needless to say this is the big one and first, the relationship. Tpp was dead on arrival going to congress. Why is a executive order anything more than symbolic . When will President Trump negotiating bilateral deals with the 11 other countries in the asiapacific. That takes time, some could say giving china to make a room to get inroad . I would argue bilateral deals is what china is engaging in. That is something, the president will look to countries engage with. What about other tpp countries . Most we have existing trade agreements or good chunk we have existing trade agreements to begin with. This was expansion, some areas, whether services industry, financial servicndustry, additional markeaccess this is t a deal was in our countrys best interests. The president could have come into office, a president could have come into office and renegotiated it and sent people back to the drawing board. It hadnt gone to congress yet because it wasnt finalized. This president pulling out of the agreement is not just about this one agreement. What i think it is symbolic both here in america and around the world of a new era in trade policy, one thats going to put American Workers first and foremost and one that assures the rest of the world that the way we negotiate Bilateral Agreements will insure we get something out of these deals. As i mentioned to john a minute ago the problem with multilateral agreements is that off the often it is lowest common denominator. In u. S. , lower tariffs and Service Industry benefits for other countries. We have to make sure we fight out for the american worker. Jennifer. Youre not negotiating . We pulled out of tpp. With all the existing did. Well have further updates on trade issues later this week. Jennifer. Us did the administration feel like you need executive order to remove yourself from nafta . That is a great question. I believe there is an action that has to be taken under the provision of nafta where you send notice to the other countries, other two countries. The exact nature of how thats described i dont know but it is, there is a trigger within nafta, one of the sections allows the president of the United States to notify them that we intend to do that. [inaudible] jennifer. Will there still be a north american trade bloc or Something Different . Part of it is he already has spoken to president of the mexico and Prime Minister of canada about his desire to renegotiate. And i think as meets with both of these individuals, over the next 30 days or so, that will be a topic. If they come in and express willingness to do that, you could negotiate it within the current parameters and update it through the existing structure. If they dont, and he decides to pull out, then we would have to go back to the drawing table in the future. Mara. Mara. Make sure mara gets a question this time. Just to follow up on the china question, china actually has a regional agreement called the regional comprehensive economic partnership. Now japan and australia, two of our great allies are talking about joining that. Sean, does President Trump see a National Security component to the trade deals and is he concerned china will write the rules for asiapacific trade . I think he has been very, very clear about chinas place in the geopolitical landscape economically and National Securitywise, so he understands the need that is part of the reason that trade is important, bilateral trade. It provides a checkon a lot of this but again, he is always going to be fighting for the interests of the country and the american worker. So how we engage and with whom will be decided whether or not we can get a deal that benefits our country economically and in terms of National Security. There are things that we can do economically, economically that actually end up also benefiting us from a National Security standpoint because of the economic relationship that exists between the two countries. Yes, sir . Okay. Mara, gets a followup. No, you earned it. Thank you. What is really the average National Unemployment rate . What is the average . What is the overall Unemployment Rate . Whether or not we include full. Just asking, bureau of labor statistics putting out. Not is a question what i accept. There are is ways to pull put out full employment. I know there are reasons we put out several investigations. One illustrative nature of how you count the unemployed whether or not theyre longterm unemployed or whether or not theyre still seeking a job. But there is a reason you put out several of these statistics economists view them and decide look at different landscapes how to make economic policy. During the campaign he said at one point was 42 . Where were starting from . But again part of his economic tm will looat multitude staff tis ticks and drive economic policies. His goal is obviously to get as Many Americans working together. That is the ultimate goal, when he sees people who are hurting havent had wages lifted up, unemployed, cant save for their kids future, having trouble with their Health Care Costs that is what he really cares about. It is not just a number to him. Is someone getting by . Are their wages going up . Can they find a better job . Do they have access to education, whether it is higher education, college or votech call, votech kind of school to train for the skills of the next century. Those are the kind of things the president , not focused as much on statistics whether or not the American People are doing better as a whole. Whether or not a family interesting we talked about carrier. That is 1000 jobs. You talk about the 1000 jobs and their families, during the Holiday Season i would beg to differ those people were unbelievably ecstatic and president and the Vice President interfind. Everyone of meetings you saw happen at trump tower now, it is whether 2,000 jobs or 20,000 jobs, that is the focus. It is making sure we have Small Businesses have greater opportunity to be successful. That American Workers is can have their wages lifted up. That the benefits they receive in terms of health care and education are something that provide them the support that they need. That is what this is all about. I think for too often in washington we get our heads wrapped around a number and statistic. We look at and forget faces, families and businesses behind those numbers so i think that is where his head is at. Looking at people come to his rallies come to his events he met with in person that are struggling. Saying, mr. Trump, im working as hard as i can. I am working two jobs and doing everything by the rules and i keep getting screwed. That is what he is fighting for, that man and woman out there doing everything they can right and cant catch a break. He addressed that in the inaugural speech, talked about shifting power outside of washington, d. C. , back to the American People. Too long, it has been about aff, mara, and what number as opposed to what face. David . Two questions. One on daca. I was curious about the message from the white house and young people that qualify but not have action, should they reenroll Going Forward . Those in the program now seek renewal . What those people should know, the president laid out a list of priorities. The priorities are focused on making sure people who can do harm, or have done harm, have a criminal record are the focus. As he said throughout the campaign, we have a series of individuals we have to figure out, people who overstayed their visas, people committed crime. Well go through that in systemic and methodical way. For now, that is not focus is on people who have done harm to our country. Yes. Followup 2016 was hottest year on record a and last three years are hottest three years on record. Scientists saying were getting dangerously closes to the point where human civilization is being threatened. How does President Trump plan to address this . I think, i think he is going to meet with his team and figure out what policies are best for the environment. But i think, one of the things he talked about during the campaign, there is a balance. He is trying to make sure we use our resources appropriately. That we maximize things to make sure we dont do so at the detriment of Economic Growth and job creation. There is a balance. I dont think it is an either or situation. Make sure we do things smart for the environment and smart for our longevity. As well as making sure were doing things that create Economic Growth and job creation. Yes, sir . Sean, what is the president s message to the millions of people here in washington and this is what makes our country so beautiful. He is also cognitive of the fact that he were that they were there to protest other things. She is talking about that. Different women were there for different reasons. I think many people like me were there for positive reasons. There are people that came to the mall all the time sometimes in smaller numbers. He reaches out to them and the way he started and the way he did on Inauguration Day by sending a message that talks about fighting for them. They would show through action and success that he is fighting for them. One of the things weve seen so often is a lot of rhetoric. Can a show through deed and action that he wants to fight for Peoples Health care he wants to have a better education system. He wants to go in and fix our inner cities. He wants make sure our infrastructures are set. Showing through people and the action. And how much he cares to ignite us. On the other side of this another group a moment ago when we have a here in washington. What concrete promises is he making about what that policy is going to look like. Its day one. Their expectations say that theyre going to stand up and value life. He is going to stand up and protect life and promote it. Instill policies that promote life and adoption that help support young women in funding of agencies in clinics that support Womens Health i think thats what hes gonna talk about. The born the unborn making sure that with healthcare that is what he is gonna fight for and thats what hes going to be clear on. The first one with the congressional meeting today he talked about his legislative agenda. Can you give us one and two or three legislative things that you must get through right away immigration is going to be high on that list. Regulatory reform. Its not an overall though. It is not just building the wall is how do we enact what we have now doesnt happen again. It is working for them. A comprehensive look at how we can keep people out of this count that shouldnt be here. To me sure that we are telling the immigration open door for anyone to just walk in. To come here to bring jobs or zh smartly. Where we are going to smartly do this. Lets be clear. They have americas interest in what theyre doing and who they are. Were not going to get to gather with them. Where thats not taking it too far. Will we see a document that shows that he has left his businesses . He has resigned from the company as he said he would before he took office. Taking extraordinary steps to ensure that that has happened. What would be the message for the u. S. [indiscernible] will be the relationship between his administration i think his relationship is gonna be great. I thnk wether its jobs or education or healthcare the president has committed to all americans and working towards a better, safer and more secure prosperous america that benefits everybody. That is something that he is going to do. Does he agree with rex tillerson. Where their building whether building runways and other kinds of things. I think the areas that are part of the International Waters i think the u. S. Is can make sure that we protect our interest there. If they are in International Waters them were to make sure that we defend the territories i think i answered the question. As we develop further welcome to your first day on the job. A lot of talk about executive orders. Is this something the president can accomplish by executive orders. Its very early in this process. And it will continue to be with the stakeholders. I have the question about nafta. We know to expect an executive order today. And on the other question i had is he didnt mention that at all in his inauguration speech. On the first part i think well have for the announcement on trade throughout the week. We are done with executive orders for the day. But as i always say standby. We do not had any attention to have additional orders today. The could be some additional ones throughout the day. I dont think he left them out. He was focused on this country. I think he got into detail on any country that im aware of. I also think were here on the first working day we are announcing thersea may coming this friday. We started talking about setting up a meeting with canada and mexico. About having him come over. We will get there. Weve a lot of calls to return. A lot of people who are really excited. [indiscernible] they are going to rescind the executive orders. But will he maintain them. Ill had to get back to you on that one. I would be glad to get back to you. I just dont know the answer. I will try to get back to you on that one. The chief of staff has said over the weekend and it seems to suggest that an executive order shutting down the program and does the president support action in congress that would permanently establish that. I have asked and answered the docket piece of this. I think that weon have anything in front of us right now. Give us a little bit of time. We will see what Congress Moves forward with. Executive order piece. Ill had to get back to you on that one. Has a president try to improve that. By taking up those negotiations. He is and the process of reviewing all of our current trade agreements. Whether it was and the eu or the asian pacific. Hes to figure out where we can expand the Market Access. It is not about multilateral agreements. Giving them access to another market is going to benefit the large and small business. For that british Prime Minister. Can we take what they intend. I think weve always have a special relationship. I think that reflects in his first visit here. Hes have a great conversation with her. We can always be closer. What kind of relationship. What kind of sense hes going to make on that . I think he understands what a big market that is for u. S. Goods a services. That was part of the point. Thre is a huge market issue there. Is not a twoway street. Theres so many chinese businesses and individuals who can have ease of access. Whether or not you talk about the Financial Services where the banking. Or some of the ip policies. He also recognizes some concerns. With how we are can treated. And we need to review that. Part of the ctp and the economic and a thought about the by lateral relationship. And secondly i heard you talking about nafta. We have not done that. We are using those relationships or look for bilateral relationships. Social security and infrastructure. They will be meeting tonight with leaders. With the campaign promise. When they include and the funding package have they fallen off the radar screen he is good have to talk to them. Very clear with the priorities. This really important benefit to our seniors he understands he has employed 70 people over the years he understands the struggle that he has. He is keenly aware of how important this program as an hes can continue to fight to make sure that that is a program that is preserved in protected and then on the infrastructure he has continued to bring that up. Roads and their ability to talk things across the country. If our infrastructure is not strong it inhibits our ability to have free commerce and dries up the cost of goods and services when someone has to take a different route or is limited and the opportunities they have or highways are just not the wear and tear on trucks. It continues to be a huge priority for us. The National Security council when you expect to have this positions filled it is actually fairly robust right now. General flynn has been working diligently with making sure that its ready to go. He has had countless meetings with counterparts and had several folks detailed over. Its a very robust effort from day one. Are you retracting your claim that it was the largest this is the largest audience. Both in person and around the globe. The total audience it was. Again i didnt say in person. I dont know how you can interpret it differently. Thats literally what i said. Youre saying here just to clarify you werent saying that it was the largest inaugural crowd in person. Does with knowledge of who was and the room that the Senior Leadership 40 people who were and the first front rows i dont think thats accurate at all. When you listen to the audio of it. You can hear the excitement that exist here. But when you look at the number of people that were there the audio alone speaks volumes on what will happen. Those were cia employees. I dont have a seating chart. I think we are very small footprint going over there. Maybe 10 people at the most. So 10 of 400. They were cia employees. Im not really sure why this matters. Ten people did not yell that loud. The authorities which and the Intelligence Community. On that the as a notion within the ci all i can do is listen to the table alone. I think you can hear a lot of that. Everybody has formally requested overseas. I think he has ordered it. He will be at the department of defense on friday as the next secretary and go through that ceremony of that. Hes obviously the secretary of defense. At that time he will continue to head conversations about what he wants from the joint chiefs. I dont meet to be a dead horse. At the end of the president s first years with the United States embassy be there. We are at the early stages in this decisionmaking process. There is a reason you go through a decisionmaking process and thats what were and the process of starting right now. I want to get ahead of that. Then we would not had gone through a process. Congratulations and thank you for taking the question. Getting back to saturday at the cia in your statement here. Why make this something to talk about at all in my get into it. Did it bother didnt bother the president that much that he felt like he needed to come out there and straighten that out for us and why did he choose the cia as a venue to talk about that. All of the people no one and the front row was strong. I will get the second and the thir lets see what i can do. I think one of the things that happened is that he kept hearing about this riff that existed. He talked about how proud he is and how much he respects the Intelligence Community. I think we walked into the inside. He wanted to make sure that people knew what youre hearing on television or reports about this rift have the utmost respect for you. I honor your service. I think he wanted them to know that you see and hear all of the stuff on tv about the rift that socalled exist. Exists. And clearly it doesnt matter. No i have a tremendous amount of respect for you. I think thats what he wanted to do it to make sure that they understand how much they respect them. That there was a rift. In terms of the crowd size issue. My bring that up did he tell you sean im upset about this. Select i will tell you its not just about the crowd size. Its about the contents he second rent if hes get a run he will drop out. And if you want its this. To undercut this enormous support that he has. Its frustrating when youre continually told is not big enough its not good enough. You cant win. I think is important he has gone out there and defied the odds over and over again and he keeps getting told what he can do by the narrative thats out there and he exceeds it every single time. I think theres an overall frustration when you turn on the television over and over again and get told that theres a narrative that you didnt win. What is he in michigan. How silly. And then he goes and does it it must because of this. Zero people are intending that. And over and over again there is a constant attempt to undermine its frustrating. Part of this is is a twoway street. We want to have a healthy dialogue. He is fighting for jobs. With them constantly getting told that can be true. This wont happen. That is the narrative when you turn on the television every single day. Its a little frustrating. I think for those people around him some of the other folks that are either here and the menstruation that gave up their time during the transition because theyre so committed to having his nominees get through its a little demoralizing. Im not looking to go back and forth i think its important to understand whether its a president himself the Vice President the senior team the volunteers or the people that are out there that voted for him. To constantly get told no and no and then to watch them go yes yes and come up to the next one gets a little frustrating. You see the historic thing. I was not that clos and then to hear look at this shot. Its not that big. Its a little demoralizing. When youre sitting there and youre looking at in your and our of just how awesome that view is and how may people are there and then you go back and you turn on the television and you see shots of comparing this in that and then you look at the stuff that is happening the nominees to get put out. There are two cabinet officials that are taking their office today. He visited the cia and a director that was considered a consensus candidate. The fair criticism while worry about a couple of tweets. Youre minimizing the point here you jim. Its not about one tweet. Or one picture its about a constant feed. Its about sitting here every time and being told no. We dont think he can do that. He will never accomplish that. It wont be the biggest its not going to be that good. The narrative and the default narrative is already negative. The moralizing. I think when you sit here and realize the sacrifice of i made because he really cares about this country and he wants to despite your differences is not always going to be positive. Some days we do the right thing. Some days we are successful. Its not, part of ssa and when were right he supported this person not why are they not get nominated. Not white second happen. One last thing. I know where getting into facts. Just to be clear there were no trump or white house folks not and does one through anything. As im told. A couple of questions. The administration was ask about multiple interactions. And the russian ambassador. Why is has a discussion not yet happened. It was to talk about conflict in theory i dont believe that has been set up yet. They did a followup two days ago. About how to facilitate that call. A total of two calls with the ambassador in general fund. It has not occurred yet. What im saying is during the transition i asked him whether or not there were any other conversations beyond the ambassador and he said no. I just want to clarify your answers here. Can you unequivocally state that it will not spend dash send more troops. The president has been very clear that is not good at negotiating skill. He does in a way that doesnt telegraph the people. In apollo. They are to get the issue. The end of the Obama Administration a number of prisoners was a reduced to about 40. What are the plans for that prison. I think and the next week or so we should have an update on the nominees i think we will have a nomination within the next couple of weeks. Make that a priority of his. I think you will see further action and the current decisionmaking process. How he wants to handle it. The president disagreed with the risk and Intelligence Community. Do you feel like his tweet what he was talking about was the process of the people and its a very different thing. [indiscernible] he called a contract. And the congressional term limits. Why not to pursue pursue all of those on day one. I think we are going to continue to sequence those out. We dont spend our entire day with executive orders. Theres a way that we can do this to make sure that were getting all of the things that they promised in short haste. And doing an away and it ensures that we sequence these. Because the American People and the issue the proper attention. Part of it is when we put them all out on monday they lose that. He made these promises and pledges to the American People because they are important to him. He is very is very clear about his iention. No decision has been made at that time. Obama care has he finished it and when he will be there. Can you clarify that. Has he started to head discussions with them currently about that. I think you can continue the discussion tonight. With speaker ryan in particular. When it comes to
